On a nearby roof Zemo waited patiently as the familiar black bird transformed back into Raven and landed in front of him.
"And what did you gather?" Zemo asked.
"The Stone isn't here. Silver is compromised and we need to leave this instant they are onto us!" Raven said quickly. In quick succession she pulled out a small device from one of her pouches. Before she could push the button however a bird flew by and snatched the device from her hands before flying into the air and dropping the device down the street below.
"No!" Raven yelled as she watched the device fall through the air and land on the concrete below where it shattered into pieces.
The bird flew back until it transformed into Qrow Branwen and landed on the rooftop, pulling out Harbinger as he stared down the pair.
"Hey there sis" he said sardonically while grinning.
"It's been a while hasn't it little brother" Raven replied with the same sardonic response.
"Seems you're still have the bad habit of aligning yourself with the wrong crowd" Qrow said as he nudged towards Zemo, who just casually stood by, supporting himself with his cane.
"That's just a matter of perspective" Raven retorted. "Uhum" Qrow took a battle stance as Raven grabbed Omen.
"No need for a fight Qrow!" a loud voice bellowed over the skies.
Zemo's eyes went wide as he looked up and he saw a sight that terrified him. Floating above the air, staring down on them with bright blue eyes was Satoru Gojo. Like a messianic figure coming down to judge them, he kept floating in the air as he stared the down the two Collective members.
"So that's him" Raven wondered out loud.
Gojo's eyes narrowed down on her first before immediately going over to Zemo and smirking. "Baron Zemo, seems you can still walk after our last encounter" he boasted. Zemo just flashed a smile at him "oh my walking is just fine Mr. Gojo."
He tried to remain steadfast but his voice betrayed how deeply terrified he was standing before the one that had not only defeated him handily but the entire Collective all those years ago.
Qrow stood the side, his weapon ready to fire if so required.
"No need for that weapon Qrow they won't do anything" Gojo said. Qrow relaxed himself but kept Harbinger close at hand in case of an ambush. Gojo's gaze turned back to Raven "so you're Qrow's sister. He told me you are a stubborn one, and quite the coward, even abandoning your own daughter."
Raven's scowl appeared and she made a motion to attack, only for Zemo to firmly grab her hand "don't bother it won't work against him" he spoke firmly. Raven's eyes looked the floating man up and down. He looked like an ordinary man in her opinion.
"You know nothing about me!" she growled up.
"I know enough," Gojo responded smugly "what could the Mad Titan possibly offer you that you be so desperate to join him. Was it power or was he just the nearest your cowardly ass would run to."
"Be quiet!" Raven demanded to no avail.
"No surprise there considering you ran away from everything out of fear. Ran away from your duty, ran away from team, from your family, your own daughter. Was it worth it? Was it worth leaving her behind.."
"I'M DOING THIS FOR HER!"
Although Gojo remained unfazed by that outburst, it took Qrow the most by surprise. Raven's eyes were fired up literally as small red flames circled around it, the indicator of the Spring Maiden's powers.
"Thanos offered me the thing nobody else could. The death of Salem and he did as such, he killed her. Not for me but for what she did to his daughter!" Raven exclaimed "he may have fulfilled his end of our bargain but not for me! And do you think it's so easy to walk away from him. He killed her, he killed the immortal queen of the Grimm. Do you really think I could just walk away from him and not suffer the consequences."
"There are more terrifying things out there then the Mad Titan" Gojo simply told her with his arms crossed.
Raven scoffed "easy for you to say. I'm still bound to the Collective. Don't you think I would return to Tai and Yang the moment I could! Not like a man like you could understand that."
Zemo slowly moved a few steps back, making a small gesture towards Raven. One she didn't seem to understand.
"Well you made your bed and have to lie in it. And that means having to deal with me" Gojo said pointing to himself.
In a split second Zemo had grabbed a firearm from his belt, his cane dropping to the rooftop floor with a loud thud "Raven go!" he yelled as he held the weapon with both hands and began to fire in Qrow's direction.
The older Huntsman didn't flinch a moment as he swung Harbinger around him and easily deflected all the bullets shot at him. This barrage ended as Gojo easily disarmed the Baron and flung him onto the ground, holding him into place.
As Harbinger came to a stop, Qrow looked and saw only his boss pinning Baron Zemo to the ground and Raven nowhere to be seen. Qrow turned around for the sight of his twin sister but he saw nothing.
"She must have escaped, it was a distraction" Qrow concluded.
"No matter," Gojo told him "there's nowhere she can go without that portal transmitter. Besides we now have not one but two Collective members as our special guests. Isn't that right Zemo" he gestured towards the defeated Baron, who didn't say a single word.
