Driving the camaro back to the house felt really good. The loud rumble of the engine was like music to her ears. She was very tempted to test the wheels out properly because a new muscle car was fun to drive. Saphira parked the car in the driveway as her father had driven ahead of her and parked his car in the garage. He told her since the car was old it could stay outside. She wasn't worried by that at all, she was not going to be home for very long. As far as her parents were concerned, she would be heading out for work. She went upstairs to get changed into a fake uniform she was able to put together and head back downstairs. Her mother, Lisa, had just arrived home. Unlike Saphira, her mother had bright blue eyes and dark brown hair, and she had tanner skin than Saphira as well. Saphira often thought she was adopted because she looked different from her parents, but her grandfather did tell her otherwise.

Saphira stepped out of the backdoor with a smile, twirling the keys around her finger as she approached the camaro. "I see you and your father picked out a car today. Nice ride Saphira." Lisa looked at the camaro with a smile as she approached the house with a bag of groceries. "Was this really four grand?"

"Actually, it was five, Saphira threw in another grand to get it," Michael said, stepping out of the door to peer out at them. Lisa looked at both of them in surprise. "But Saphira really liked the car, so I guess it is okay. She's going to work now, she doesn't have to walk now."

"How wonderful! Alright, well, have a good time tonight honey!" Lisa smiled and walked past her towards the house. "Your father and I are not going out tonight sadly, we were not able to get reservations. But we will probably be in bed when you get home."

"Okay, I will see you a bit later." Saphira gave them a quick wave and opened the driver side door, getting into the car and starting it, smiling as the roar of the engine filled her ears. "Alright, time to take you to my second home."

She drives onto the road, glad she did not have to walk three blocks now. She tapped her fingers on the steering wheel while thinking about the modifications to her new ride. She thought it was a little hilarious that she already owned a camaro, but at least she had two now. She drove through the streets until she reached the garage. She pressed the button to the autodoor and opened it, smiling as the other cars inside were revealed. She drove it in slowly and parked it, turning it off. She stepped out and closed the garage door, arching her back with a sigh.

"Well…at least you fit right in with my crew," Saphira said casually to the car, looking down at it thoughtfully. "I still have time until a race meet tonight. So…" She rubbed her chin for a moment before she walked over to her desk and pulled out an A4 piece of paper and sat down in front of the camaro and began to sketch the entire car. "Let's see what I can do to you. I don't need to do anything to the engine." For some people, it might seem very strange for her to be talking to the car, but she found herself enjoy talking with all of her cars. She glanced at the paint colour of the car. "Hmm…it's a bumblebee colour…oh! That might be just what I will call you. This means I might need some bright yellow neons…gold rims…" She chuckled as she began to draw up her plans for the car. "Five grand well spent."

While Saphira sketched the car and spoke about what she intended on doing to the car, she had no idea what she was getting herself into at all. The camaro sat there silently, listening to her speak to him like she already knew him. It was a surprisingly nice experience. But he did not know what she meant by race meet. And the four cars sitting in the garage already made him think she would not always be taking him.

Saphira did not spend so long on it as she finished off her plans for now and pinned the sketch to a board before heading into the small room of the garage to get changed. Saphira opened the wardrobe she had hear and pulled out a tight, black, bodycon dress to slip on and a pair of black heels. She pulled her hair back into a mermaid braid and applied makeup to her face. She smiled at herself in the mirror as she enjoying applying the foundation, contour and eye shadow, she did paused for a moment when she thought she heard someone walking around in the garage. That was strange, no one else should be here. She shrugged and finished applying her makeup and sprayed on some perfume. She grabbed her purse and threw it over her shoulders and walked out into the garage towards the Camaro SS.

"Alright, time to take you to the track and leave everyone else in the dust. And to show you off." She chuckled softly as she opened the driver door and put the key in. She turned it to start, but she was surprised when the engine faltered as she tried to start it. "Huh? What?" She tried again and the engine choked. She hits the steering wheel in frustration and popped the hood. "You gotta be kidding me, I literally had you running fine yesterday." Opened the hood and peered inside, looking around for anything unusual. "Hmm?" She noticed the fanbelt was missing. "What…I literally put one on yesterday! Where did it go?"

She slammed the hood down and glanced over to the other three cars. "Guess good old Boss is coming with me tonight. So much for showing off. At least I get the money." Saphira stepped into the Mustang and turned it on, the roar of the engine filled the garage and she opened the door with a smile. "At least you never let me down old friend."

She drove the car out of the garage onto the street, closing the door behind her, not knowing that the car she had just purchased today was the reason the camaro SS was not starting properly. And he cursed himself for not tampering with the other vehicles as well.

Saphira smiled as it was dusk now, the sun was just setting and she was on her way to a racemeet ten blocks from her garage. It was the biggest for tonight with the biggest prize money throughout the night. She was very excited for it. While she drove through the streets towards the track, she was shocked when she saw red and blue lights in her rearview. She grimaced as she was not speeding, but she pulled over anyway to wait for the officer to get out of the car. She parked and folded her arms, waiting for the office to walk up to her window. But he does not.

Is this some kind of bad joke?

Saphira winds her window down and peered out, looking out to see it was a Mustang GT500 cop car behind her. "Umm…officer? You are supposed to come to my window." No movement. She frowned, this was not funny. "Hey look, I don't know why you even pulled me over…" The door suddenly opened and Saphira sighed. "Finally."

She pulled her head back into the car, tapping her fingers on the steering wheel as she waited for the officer to walk up to her door. She looked out to speak to him when she saw his shadow and was nearly too stunned when she saw this man. While he was wearing a police suit, he had a muscular body with broad shoulders, his neck was thick and his rectangular shaped face with bright, red eyes and long, blue black hair tied back into a ponytail…he was hot! "Evening little lady. I pulled you over for a reason." His deep, cold voice seemed to have a flirtatious tone to it.

She quickly snapped out of her daze and frowned at him. "No shit sherlock! What am I pulled over?"

"Is your username CarLifeGirl108?" She looked at him with a confused expression, she almost didn't recognize the name. "Are you username CarLife108?"

"Are you fan of my blog?" Saphira asked curiously. "This is a very bad way to get my attention." She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You didn't need to pull me over officer…"

The man smirked at her, oh that smile nearly made her blush. "Now, now…" He drops to one knee slightly, gazing at her with his bright red eyes. He did not seem human at all. "Little lady…I am only here to get something from you." He reached him and his pointy nails grab her chin to turn her face towards him. "My name's Barricade."

"Barricade? What, is that some kind of username too?" Saphira asked and smacked his hand off her chin. "Please don't touch me. I don't know what game this is officer…"

"Where are the glasses?"

Glasses?

"What glasses?" Saphira did not register at all what he was saying to her and breathed in deeply. "You know what, this is a waste of my time. I have somewhere to be. I don't know what drug you are on, but I want nothing to do with it. You're probably not even a real cop!"

Saphira put her foot down, causing the tyre to spin loudly and the man stepped back in shock as she sped away from him. She looked in the mirror and saw he was watching her in disbelief and she scoffed. "No way he's an actual officer. What the fuck was that…?"

She shakes her head and drove away from him as quickly as possible. She glanced back in the mirror, and thankfully, he does not follow her. She was relieved. That was the weirdest experience she has ever had with a police officer in her life. And one she was going to forget. She continued to drive through the streets and finally made it. The racemeet was at an old factory place that was shut down years ago, it has been abandoned and used regularly by racers. The police still turn a blind eye here because the races don't cause trouble for regular people.

Saphira was very relieved when she arrived, she revved her engine as she approached the entrance of the raceway and rolled her window down, smiling at a young man with dreads. "Evening Sam, I made it."

"I was worried you would ditch us for another meet," The man responded with a smirk, leaning his hands on her window. "I thought you would be bringing that camaro tonight."

"The engine choked sadly, but luckily I have other cars to come here with. Well, the mustang and the chevelle really." Saphira shrugged a little. "Anyway, I am going to get situated for the night. I plan on doing a few sprints tonight."

"That's my girl."

"In your dreams Sam." She chuckled softly, driving away from the young man to park her car.

She could hear the loud music around her and there was a stage set up for people to dance on. There were a lot of men and women here who just wanted to come out to dance. It was nothing unusual, not everyone came here to race. Saphira found a space to reverse park her car and stepped out of the car. She saw a group of other racers around a 1995 Nissan GTR, she smiled as she knew who it belonged to.

"Evening Jackson, how are your wheels?" Saphira asked as she walked up to the man with short, dark hair and placed her arm on his shoulder. "Are you out to sprint tonight?"

"Look who finally decided to show up," Jackson responded sarcastically, glancing at Saphira with a grin. "Looking good tonight Saphira. And of course, I never pass on a sprint. Except against you of course."

"That's because you little exotic can't beat my big boss," Saphira teased him gently. "Anyway, how many are on tonight?"

"Twenty in total, the rookies are already out on the track…" He gestures towards a crowd and the sound of loud engines as rookie drivers race. "There is at least eight rookie races, four intermediate and eight sprints for us mature racers. They should be starting soon. No pink slips tonight, prize money for mature racers is three grand each. I trust you won't take it all tonight Saphira?"

"Don't worry, three is enough." She threw up three fingers with a smile. "I don't need a lot money you know, just enough to buy some new parts and save. That's how it always has been for me."

Jackson chuckled softly at her. "Yes I know. Shall we join the party in the meantime?"

"Sure, why not, we have nothing better to do for a few hours anyway."

Saphira, Jackson, and seven of the other racers she and he were with made their way to the dancefloor to take part in the party that was being thrown. Saphira had a very good time, swinging her hips as she danced with several other women on the dance floor, enjoying the loud music and lights all around her. It was a great way to help her pass the time.

And when it came time to finally race, Saphira was very thrilled. She decided to skip the first couple races, and opt to watch them instead. She stood among the crowd, cheering for her racing friends who would speed along a quarter mile stretch for first prize. Partly also because Jackson raced the first couple races, and she let him enjoy the thrill of the race before it was her turn. She drove her car to the starting line, lining her mustang next to a 2003 Mazda RX-8, which made her smirk as she knew her mustang would cream that car. Although, that did not stop the driver through her gestures, she ignored them and waited for the woman dancing in front of the cars with the flags to drop them.

She gripped the gear stick as she waited, and once those flags went down, Saphira pressed her foot onto the throttle and put the car into gear, the sudden force lifts the front of the car up and it speeds ahead a few feet before dropping to the ground. Saphira smiled as she changed gears quickly as the car speeds up naturally. She could see the Mazda at the corner of her eye, it was already falling behind her and she chuckled softly, she guessed they might have NOS, but she never heard the gas and she didn't need to. She held her foot down until she crossed the finish line first, make her sigh, relaxing her body from the thrill of adrenaline coursing through her veins. She chuckled softly and slowed the car down and made her way back to the crowd to collect her first prize.

She pats the steering wheel gently with a smile. "Good job tonight, boss, you won me some money again. Just another two more races and we go home."

Saphira kept her word and only raced another two more races, winning the sprints successfully and the extra six grand, making it a total of nine grand. It was a successful night in her eyes. At as it reached ten pm that night, she was feeling very tired after a long day. She knew it was about the time she should be getting home anyway, even if her parents didn't really care what time she returned home. She leaves the raceway to return to the garage, smiling to herself and she thankfully did not run into another strange cop. Although, she also was not looking for him either. Nonetheless, she returned to her garage safely and everything was still as it was when she left. She stepped out of the mustang once she parked it and turned it off, she yawned loudly and stretched her arms, blinking her eyes a little and gazing at the yellow camaro.

"Well, I was succesful tonight. It's going to be paying your visual upgrades," Saphira said to the car before walking to the small room. "Ugh! I really need to clean my face and change out of this dress. My feet are killing me!"

She kicked off her heels into the room and walked into it to clean the makeup from her face and get changed. She left her hair in the current braid as it was until she was finished and pulled it out. She looked at herself in the mirror silently for a few moments, contemplating what she should do over the weekend before shrugging and walked out of the room to the camaro to head home.

"Alright…time to head home I guess…well…the house really…" She shrugged to herself as she takes a seat, starting the car and leaving the garage to head home. "At least this will be the last nice thing he ever does for me. A new car to try win my love when they gave me none." She scoffed a little to herself and took in a deep breath. "Once I hit college, I'm out of here."

Arriving back at the house, Saphira parked the car outside the garage of her parent's home and got out. She sighed, walking towards the back door and entering it, the house was very quiet as her parents were asleep upstairs. There was not even a light left on in the house for her safety. It was pretty typical. Saphira made her way up to her room to shower and get changed for bed. She walked to the window to gaze out into the night, looking down at the camaro sitting in the driveway. She smiled at it, she was very happy to have it even if she was not going to race the car. Going to bed felt a little nice for a change in her mind.

And while she slept, she thought she heard the sound of a motor roaring a few hours later. She opened her eyes thinking she was dreaming until she realized it was the camaro motor. She gasped and ran to the window, looking out and saw the car driving away.

"No, no, no!" She yelled, rushing out of her room and slamming the door open. She raced downstairs out to the yard and she saw the backlights of the car disappearing onto the street. "I can't believe…" She glanced at her old bike and grabbed it. "DAD CALL THE COPS!"

She didn't know if her parents heard her or the car or not, but she was determined to get her car back. She was wearing a pajama top and pants right now, but that didn't bother her right now. She pedals as quickly as she could after the camaro down the street, glaring at the spoiler as she knew someone was driving her car and she was not letting them get away.
