Saphira hissed as she landed on the sandy hill. Her left hand was burning. She glanced at him with a grimace, it looked quite bad and it hurt like hell. As she rolled onto her back, she screamed when she saw Barricade's body falling towards her. She scurried to her feet and ran before he lands heavily into the sand, she breathed heavily as she held her left hand up slightly. She glanced around and realized they were not in Washington anymore, it was a large, arid desert with a lot of cliffs.

"Saphira, are you okay?" Barricade asked, groaning as he brushes sand from his chassis. He noticed the injury on her hand. "Oh no, you're hurt! Jetfire hurt you!" He punched the ground and Saphira backed away fearfully. "Sorry…um, it's just frustrating to know that."

"I am sure he didn't mean to," Saphira said, holding her wrist with a grimace. "If only I brought my first aid kit, I could wrap it in a bandage."

Barricade's expression softened, wishing he had something to help her with. "Sadly, I do not hold such a case." He glanced up as Bee approached and smiled. "Oh, well, Bumblebee seems to."

She turned to face Bee and smiled at him as he dropped to one knee, holding out the first aid kit to her. "I always carry one just in case," He said through the radio. She grabbed the kit and opened it to grab a bandage. Bee looked around and spotted Jetfire standing on a rocky ledge. "Seems like you have an ancestral connection to us."

Saphira tensed when Bee mentioned that. "So, it would seem. My grandfather never told me a thing. Just that it was a secret, and I won't know until I'm eighteen. I kind of hope Jetfire sticks around…it might be like a piece of my grandfather still here."

"You would be okay with that grumpy bot around?" Barricade asked as he watched her wrap her hand gently with the bandage. She nodded with a slight shrug. "Hmm, well, he seems like he has a lot of knowledge to offer. I think he should stick around for that. We could use someone as old and wise like him."

Saphira admired her work on her hand, it was still hurting, but at least it was covered for now. "Nothing wrong with a little wisdom. Besides…" She glanced around with a frown and looked towards Jetfire. "We better find out where the hell we are. I have no clue where we are. This doesn't look like an American desert."

"I agree. Where are the twins?" Barricade frowned as he glanced around and spotted the two bots waving from a cliff face above. "Ah, that settles that mystery. You boys should get down from there."

"No way! Not after bein' tossed like that!" Skids responded with a shake of his head. "Gramps is over there! Go deal with him yourself!"

Saphira walked towards Jetfire with the two bots following her. "They'll get down on their own. Wheelie and Simmons are over there with Jetfire. Did Jetfire use some kind of teleporter or something?"

"Probably," Bumblebee shrugged. "That is what it felt like. Never felt something so powerful before."

As they approach Jetfire, it appeared Simmons was ranting on about something to Jetfire, the older bot seemed to be staring towards some cliffs thoughtfully and he was getting annoyed with the man. Bee and Barricade help Saphira get up to the ledge where they both were.

"Oh, shut up, fleshing!" Jetfire snaps at Simmons, startling Saphira and the bots. She frowned at the man as he seemed to be the reason why the former decepticon was annoyed. "I told you I was opening a space bridge, it's the fastest way to Egypt."

Egypt? "I'm sorry, what?" Saphira said in confusion, getting Jetfire's attention and his narrowed eyes. "You didn't tell us anything! You didn't warn us about the space bridge, why are we in Egypt?" She glanced around in disbelief at the country she was now in.

"Don't you get snippy with me, fleshling!" Jetfire huffed, lowering himself down to sit on the ledge, seemingly tired from standing on his old legs. "You were duly informed, Saphira. Gah! Just like Everett! Never paying attention when you needs to. Bugger this!"

She sighed and turned to face Jetfire with a more relaxed expression. "Can you stop just for a second, can you focus?" She asked the bot calmly as she approached him. Simmons and the bots listen quietly as she spoke to Jetfire. "Can you tell us why we're in Egypt so we can have a little bit of semblance of peace of mind?" Simmons smiled and gestured to Saphira to say that she was right, and it was what he was trying to say to Jetfire beforehand.

Jetfire's expression softened and smiled. "As I am sure you now know, this planet was visited by our race before, by our earliest ancestors, millennia ago. They were on an exploratory mission to harvest energon, the lifeblood of our race. Without it, we'll all perish, oxidize and rust, like my wretched self! Do you have any idea what it's like to slowly fall apart and die?!"

Saphira felt sad for Jetfire being in this condition, there wasn't much they could do about it at the moment however. "Let's not get episodic, okay old timer?" Simmons was irritated as he spoke to the bot, he too wanted to find out why they were there in Egypt. "Beginning, middle, end. Facts. Details. Plot. Tell it."

Jetfire turned to look at Saphira with a slight frown. "Do you usually travel around with this fella?" She shakes her head. "I can see why. Bah!" She giggled softly while Simmons had a scowl on his face. Jetfire exhaled through his vent and began explaining. "Somewhere buried in this desert, our ancestors built a great machine. It harvests energorn by destroying suns." He glances upward slightly towards the sun shining down on them now.

Saphira felt a sense of dread when he said that, that did not sound good at all. "Destroy suns? You mean, blow them up?" She frowned as she was not sure if that was how the machine destroyed suns.

"Yes," Jetfire confirmed with a gentle smile at her. "You see, in the beginning, there were seven Primes, our original leaders. And they set out into the universe seeking distant suns to harvest. The Primes set out with one rule, never destroy a planet with life, until one of them tried to defy this rule. And his name forevermore was the Fallen." Saphira was going to ask why when he lifts his left hand and shot a projection for them to see, Saphira shuddered when she saw the Fallen's face again. "He despised the human race, and he wanted to kill you all by turning on that machine."

Saphira blinked as she saw the machine, it sort of looked like a metal hand sticking out of the ground with the pillars being curved. "Why did the Fallen despise the human race? Did humans do something to him to make him hate us?"

Jetfire seemed surprised by the question. "Hmm…to be honest, I don't think any of us know that answer but him and his brothers. I would imagine something happened for him to want to destroy an entire race."

"It is silly to destroy an entire race based on the actions of a few," Saphira said with a shrug. "Anyway, continue with your story. I guess there is more to know about this machine."

The bots nods and changed the projection to show a metal object. "The only way to activate it is with a legendary key, called the Matrix of Leadership." Saphira gazed at the Matrix, it was wave shaped with curved carvings into the metal, the middle of the Key had a glowing, blue, energy source. It seemed beautiful to her. The projection changes to show a great battle that had taken place one Earth. "A great battle took place over possession of the Matrix. The Fallen was stronger than his brothers, so they had no choice but to steal and hide it from him." Saphira felt sad as she gazed at the Primes, they appeared to all look the same. She wondered what they would have been like, and if they were great like Optimus was as well. "In the ultimate sacrifice…" The projection changes to show the six Primes gathering on the side of a dusty cliff and creating a shell around the Key. "They gave their lives to seal the Matrix away in a tomb made of their very own bodies, a tomb we cannot find." Saphira definitely felt a great deal of respect for the Primes and the choice they had to make. It must have been too dangerous or the Fallen would have destroyed the planet. "Somewhere, buried in this desert, that deadly machine remains. The Fallen knows where it is, and if he finds the tomb of the Primes, your world will be no more."

Saphira gazed up at him as the bot looked back at her kindly. "Is there a way to stop him?"

"Only a Prime can defeat the Fallen." Jetfire glances upward, as if expecting to see the Fallen approaching them right now.

A Prime? Saphira felt her heart sinking at that as her expression turned to a deep sadness. "Optimus Prime?"

Jetfire was stunned to hear the name, he turned his head towards Saphira and gazed at her with a smile. "So, you've met a Prime?" She nodded slightly at him. "Well, isn't that just jolly? Heh, heh, your grandfather would have given anything to meet a Prime. Especially after learning so much about them. And now you have gone and met one. You must have met a great descendent." Seeing Jetfire so excited about Optimus almost made her eyes fill with tears. "Is he alive, here on this planet?"

She turned her gaze from Jetfire sadly, the older bot's excitement quickly changed when he realized that Optimus being alive might not be the case at the moment. "He sacrificed himself to save me. I wish it didn't happen."

Jetfire lowered his head and hummed softly. "So, he's dead. Without a Prime, it's impossible. No one else could stop the Fallen." He looked back at Saphira as she sniffled a little. "I see he meant a lot to you."

She nodded with a slight smile. "He did. He still does."

He smiled slightly at her. "Ah…I wonder…hmm…" He rubbed his chin thoughtfully as Saphira too thought about the Key.

The Matrix appeared to have power in it, and she wondered if it could save Optimus. "I am just wondering…" Simmons and the bots look at her curiously when she spoke up. "The same energy that will reactivate the machine, could that energy somehow be used to reactivate Optimus and bring him back to life?"

Jetfire tilts his head slightly and shrugged at the question. "It was never designed for that purpose, but it's an energy like no other."

Simmons chuckled softly and placed a hand on Saphira's shoulder. "Of course you are looking for a way to save your boyfriend?"

She frowned and glared at Simmons. She was about to speak when Jetfire chuckled softly. "I fail to see how it can be joked, young fleshling." He gazed at the man who looked back in surprise. "Believe it or not, she would not be the first human a transformer have fallen in love with. Why, there are countless others who have had good relationships. Sometimes, even better than with our own race."

The man was surprised by that, as was Saphira. "You don't see a problem if she and Optimus get it on?"

Jetfire smiled at him for a moment before turning his head to Saphira. "Did your grandfather ever tell you about some kind of prophecy before he died?"

Saphira blinked in surprise at the question. "Um…I think so…something about…The tears of Dawn…I think."

He nodded. "That is the prophecy I remember. I feel like I am seeing the start of it. Would you like to tell you the prophecy?" Saphira nodded, the bots and Simmons felt this was a waste of time, but they do not interrupt. "The tears of Dawn shall rain on Egypt's call, the ground will shudder and burn, destiny brings the glimmer of Matrix to her cries, undoing the Deceiver's lies. Beneath the flesh shall heart and spark be merged, Excalibur shall awaken and the knightess under Primus light will be engraved within eternity."

"What does that mean, old-timer?" Barricade asked in irritation, rubbing his forehead with his fingers. "Time is not on our side. How is that going to help us?"

"Not you. Her." Jetfire gestured to Saphira. "I believe this prophecy is about her." He turned his head towards her with a smile. "I believe there are many great things ahead of you, Saphira Dawn."

She smiled at him. "I don't understand the prophecy, but thanks. However…um…we still need to find the tomb. How are you going to get us to the Matrix before the decepticons and the Fallen get to me?"

"Follow your mind, you map, your symbols" Jetfire responded, gesturing to her head with a smile. "What you carved in the sand, it's your clue. When dawn alights the Dagger's Tip, Three Kings will reveal the doorway. Find the doorway, Saphira. Go now! Go! This was my mission, but it has always been your mission, Saphira. The Matrix is yours to find, and yours alone."

"Oh yeah, as if I am not helping with it," Simmons grumbled as he turned towards Barricade and Bee, he saw the twins had finally approached, but were standing off a bit. "Come Wheelie, guess we are just the ones tagging along."

Jetfire huffed a laugh. "Young fleshling, you helping her is still important. She cannot do it alone." Seymour smiled at that, he glanced back at Jetfire as he spoke. "Don't stop and look at me! Go before the decepticons find me and find you!"

Saphira climbed onto Bee's hand as he offered it to her and carried her down from the ledge. Barricade begrudgingly helped Simmons and Wheelie down, he was annoyed at Jetfire, his story was interesting and definitely something important. But he felt the distraction regarding Saphira herself felt unnecessary. However, it was good that Saphira got to know a little bit about her grandfather's past even if it wasn't something that was necessary.

Saphira sat in the Camaro after Bee reached the nearby road, she was processing everything that they had just learned. She heard the passenger door being opened and glanced at Seymour and Wheelie. "Mind if we join? We need to figure this out somehow."

She nodded to him. "Sure. Hopefully we can figure out where we are going."

Simmons sat in the seat and Wheelie climbed in, he pulled out his phone which Saphira was surprised by. "I might be able to figure it out with a few calls. Don't worry, you're not going to get found here."

She was glad. The wig was a little messed up at the moment and she thought about removing it. She grimaced as her hand ached and lifts it to massage it a little. "Hopefully, we are not stuck here for months looking for it."

Simmons glanced at her bandaged hand, he grimaced and said nothing as he had dialled a number and waited for them to pick up. "Are you okay, Saphira?" Wheelie asked, she glanced at him with a raised eyebrow. "I see your hand is still sore."

"It'll be fine. Once I can get my hands on proper antibacterial stuff, it will be okay. Though…I think it's bad enough to see a doctor honestly. I can't really feel my fingers at the moment." She took a deep breath and looked at the small bot. "Sorry for being so hard on you. Hopefully you are okay hanging out with us."

"Of course I am." The small bot smiled at her and pats her shoulder gently. "Besides, you need somebody to keep hotshot here under control." Simmons raised an angry eyebrow. "Who knew your family already had a history with the bots huh? That must be quite a shock."

"Well, my parents never did, that I know. But, my grandfather and grandmother did it seemed…not sure who else." Saphira looked head as she thought about her grandfather. "I'll turn eighteen in several months…the answers will be revealed than."

"It must be a bit scary. Now that you have a hint of what this secret is." She nodded as Wheelie spoke. "I know Barricade thought it was silly for Jetfire to tell you about it, but I don't think so. It is an important thing for you."

"Thanks, Wheelie. It is nice to have you on board. Hopefully, you are not going to be an annoying little pest." Saphira smiled at him as he grinned. "I guess that look says that you will be annoying."

"How did you guess?" Wheelie and Saphira chuckle together, she was glad he changed sides.

The scrap bot definitely will have a place her. Seymour hangs up his phone and looks at his GPS, pressing numbers. "Okay, here's what my CIA contact says," He began as he focused on the device for a moment. "Ancient Sumerians used to call the Gulf of Aqaba the Dagger's Tip." Saphira raised her eyebrows, impressed by his findings. "It's part of the Red Sea, it divides Egypt and Jordan like the tip of a blade. 29.5 degrees North, 35 East. Here it is."

Simmons shows Saphira the location where they were meant to go, he showed towards the dash so Bee could inform the other autobots and make their way there. "I guess we need to get Optimus to the Dagger's Tip."

The man frowned in surprise at Saphira. "And how do you plan on getting him halfway around the world? His body's probably tied up with the government right now."

"You're gonna make the call," Saphira responded, surprising the man again and she smirked at him. "I can't use phones right now, you need to make the call to Lennox for me." He groaned when she mentioned the man's name. "I know you don't like him, but that was your own fault at the time. But, I need you to help me with this. If we don't, the decepticons will have more of a chance to take the Matrix if we have to fly back to the US to get it to him. And the Key will likely get confiscated anyway."

"You have a point…" Seymour sighed deeply, feeling quite annoyed by that. "Alright…fine. I'll make the call. But, I won't do it on my cell phone. There should be a paid phone or some kind of phone at a nearby town somewhere. That way we shouldn't get tracked here."

"I doubt they will care about your location," Saphira said bluntly. "Just make the call, please? I promise to keep real quiet." She glanced at Wheelie with a stern look. "And you had better stay quiet too."

Simmons glanced between Saphira and Wheelie, they both give him a thumbs up. He sighed and dialled the number. He waited patiently, drumming his fingers on the side of the car before smiling. "Hello ma'am, I am calling to speak to Major William Lennox. It's just a family matter, please. Thank you." He winked at Saphira, letting her know this was good. She smiled, waiting for Simmons to speak with Lennox. She desperately wanted to talk to him, but now was not a good time. "Lennox, I'm with the girl, you know the girl. The one with sparkly green eyes, nice curves…" Saphira narrowed her eyes as she glared at him. "She's matured a lot now…" He paused when Lennox snapped something at him. "Never mind that, we need the truck. The truck, we got a possible resurrection going on over here. You're not gonna believe where we are. Code Tut, as in King Tutankhamen." Saphira and Wheelie glance at each other, there was never a dull moment with Simmons, but he kept showing how strange he was. "Back of a one-dollar bill. Coordinates for airdrop, 29.5 North, 34.88 East. Write it down, write it down." He paused as they approach two police cars. "Ah, gotta go now. Heat's coming."

He hangs up as the autobots swerve to avoid the cops. "There's a small town over there, we can try and lose them there," Saphira said, pointing ahead as Bee drove towards it.

"At least we were able to deliver the message to bring back your beloved," Simmons said with a smirk. She glared at him and the seat suddenly lurched Simmons forward, smacking his head on the dash. Saphira gasped in shock before she burst into fits of laughter. "OW! My face!" He held his nose and rubbed his forehead with a grimace. "First Barricade, now Bee?"

"Don't go sweet talking after what you just said," Bumblebee said through the radio. "Not while big brother is here to watch out for her."

"You had to do it when we are being chased?!" Simmons yelled before grimacing and holding his nose. "Thank god it isn't broken." He glared at Saphira who was still laughing at him and rolled his eyes. "Enjoy my pain, it won't last."

The sirens of the cops follow them towards the small village, Saphira slowly stopped her fits of laughter as she knew this was serious. They speed through the village, avoiding the people who lived there. Saphira noticed the streets were quite narrow, she hummed for a moment and placed her hands on the steering wheel.

"Let me take over Bee, I have an idea." Saphira smiled, moving her feet to the throttle and break. Bee was hesitant at first. "Please, tell the others to follow my lead."

She felt Bee relent to the control of the steering wheel. She smiled, pressing her foot on the throttle and hearing the roar of the engine. She glanced at a narrow alleyway, but it was just big enough for the cars. Saphira pressed her foot on the break slightly and turned the wheel, drifting the car towards the alleyway.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Simmons screamed with wide eyes as the car speeds down the alleyway.

"We are gonna dance around the cops," Saphira responded calmly as the car raced between the buildings.

The people ran out of the way thankfully. The twins and Barricade follow, the cops were not able to due to the sudden movement. However, one of the police cars followed them. The alleyway was not very long though. She drifts onto another narrow street, drifting the Camaro in a wide turn before turning towards another alleyway, it was slightly wider this time. Saphira smiled as the adrenaline filled her veins, she drifts the car back onto the main road. Two of the cop cars were still there.

"Alright, let's give them a little kiss," Saphira said with a smirk, speeding towards the cops.

"What are you gonna do?" Seymour was holding on for his dear life. Wheelie on the other hand, was holding his arms up in the arm like he was on a rollercoaster ride. "You're a crazy, bitch! One crazy bitch!"

Saphira ignored him as she speeds the Camaro towards the cars. The police cars were angle parked and the police attempted to block them by reversing into their path. Saphira smirked and angle the Camaro carefully before she swerved slightly and turned the car on an angle with the back of the car sliding towards the cop cars. Simmons screamed as the back fender of the car hits the back bumpers of both police cars, causing them one to slam into the other and into a market stall on a ledge. Saphira giggled a little as it left the cops in a lot of shock, thankfully the other bots do not repeat that and they speed away from the town.

"Alright, hopefully we can find a road off the main one to the Dagger's Tip," Saphira said as she let out a sigh. "You can take control back Bee. I told you I had an idea."

"That was very dangerous," Bee said through the radio, she smiled as she relaxed her hands and feet. "But, it was impressive. Ride or die."

She chuckled softly as she knew where that reference was from. She glanced at Simmons, the man looked like he was going to have a heart attack. She didn't say anything, they were away from the police now, they could relax. She grimaced and blinked in surprise when the wig slipped from her head.

"Oh, guess the clips can loose," Saphira said, pulling the lace front off with a frown. "That feels so much better though."

"Hang on, you should put that back on," Simmons said with a frown.

She placed the wig on her lap and removed the clips from the braids and undid them. "In a moment. I want to brush my hair. Ew…it is greasy."

Wheelie smiled and reached into Saphira's bag, grabbing out a brush and handing it to her. He saw the other wigs in the bag. "Oh, what about this chestnut wig? This one looks really nice."

"I'll consider it, thanks Wheelie," Saphira said to him with a smile as she brushed her hair.

Her hair had additional waves in it thanks to the braids she had in her hair. It was really nice, it made her smile when she saw herself in the mirror. She would put the wig back on shortly, but she wanted to give her hair some maintenance. However, the bots turn off onto a new road and she spotted something ahead. She was surprised by that.

"Check point, put that wig back on," Simmons said firmly with a worried expression.

They won't get there on time. Slowing down or turning away would look suspicious. Saphira could only scramble to cover half of her face with her hair, at least they won't see her full face. That was the main thing. At least, she hoped she wouldn't get detected. Simmons rolled his eyes when he saw that, but her hair was long and thick, so it was highly possible she won't be recognized. She doubted the cameras they had were high tech like the ones in the US anyway.
