Bumblebee comes to a stop in front of the barrier at the checkpoint, Saphira and Simmons glanced around nervously at the guards standing their with rifles in their hands. Saphira noticed the cameras above, she ran her hand through her hair to make sure if covered half of her face, she was unsure if she would get noticed though. She heard one of the guards shouting at them angrily, she looked up to see him and it took a moment for her to realize he was very short. She was very nervous, she hoped this would go smoothly, she didn't even know what to say.

"All right, chill," Simmons said in a calm voice, Saphira glanced at him curiously. "This is espionage now, I can handle it." Wheelie gazed closely at the man approaching them and listened to him, making agreeable noises as he listened to the man. "These are my people, I am one-thirty-sixth Arab." She rolled her eyes at him knowing that wasn't going to help.

Wheelie made a comment about the short man as he approached, Saphira ignored him though. She thought it was good that the man had a job with the military here, he probably made up a lot even with his size, so she definitely was not going to judge him at all. He actually frightened her a little a bit, because his expression definitely said he was a no nonsense person. He approached the driver side of the car, she glanced at him nervously as she sat in the seat while Simmons leaned over to her with a polite smile. The man ran his fingers along the side of the car, she grimaced as she heard the squeal along the car and she hoped he didn't scratch Bee. Once the man reached the window, he spoke something in Arabic. Simmons began trying to communicate to the man, using some Arabic phrases with English, though it was clear he didn't know Arabic. He made it seem like they were tourists, or tried to, until he mentioned New York. The man's face quickly changed from stern to surprise when he realized they were from America. Simmons nodded with a smile and the man gestured for them to drive ahead.

They drive through the gate, and Saphira was able to relax. "That was a great definition of fitting in with your people, Seymour. I wasn't even sure that was going to work."

"Hey, we got through. And hopefully having half your hair over your face worked, although if they have good scanners they will figure out who you are." Simmons seemed proud of himself, Saphira was not convinced. "I guess you won't need that wig now."

Saphira brushed her hair from her face and began to French braid it. "Yeah, it feels good to not have it on if I am honest. Those pins were really giving me a headache."

Simmons chuckled a little as the bots drive towards their location. "Should we go through the riddle Jetfire gave us?"

She nodded and they spoke together in unison. "When the dawn alights the Daggers Tip, the Three Kings will reveal the doorway."

"That's what he said. What does that even mean?" Simmons asked, he frowned as he thought about the riddle and didn't know what it meant.

"I wish I knew. Jetfire seems to think we will figure it out." Saphira did think if her grandfather was here, he would be helping her right now. "I hope he sticks around after all this too. I would love to know what my grandfather was like back in the day."

"I guess Everett was a good man if he was able to work with a former decepticon," Simmons said softly, Saphira smiled as she was glad he seemed to respect her grandfather. "I wonder what made Jetfire choose to change his badge anyway. I know Barricade's reason…sort of…unless it is for a different reason." He looked at Saphira curiously, she finished braiding her hair and shrugged. "Strange he only decided to change sides after meeting you." She frowned and looked at him curiously. "Would it be for the same reason as Prime?"

She shakes her head. "In your dreams."

Simmons shrugged and looked out the window, they had fifty kilometres to go before they reach their destination. "To think I get to see the pyramids for the first time too. It will be pretty spectacular."

"Yeah." Saphira agreed with that. She glanced ahead, she pondered what it would have been like if she had convinced Optimus to bring her here and travel along the Nile. "It will be my first time here too. At least we have food."

"Packets of chips isn't what I call a good meal." Simmons glanced at the packets they still had. "But I suppose you're right. Wouldn't even know what we could get here."

"We will be fine, it is only for maybe a day or too, as long as we have water we will be fine." Saphira looked out the window and stared at the desert. "I just hope that…that Key will work."

"If it does, I will personally give you a high five." She grimaced at that, but she said nothing to Simmons. "But, even if it doesn't work, the military will be here to help to destroy that machine. It is somewhere close by, so I suppose it won't be a total waste of time."

Saphira didn't even want to think about the possibility of the Matrix not working. It would really break her heart if it didn't work. She probably won't even move from Optimus if that was the case. In her mind, she wanted to go where he went now. Even if that included death. Life just felt worthless, but not right now when there was a glimmer of hope to bring him back. She could see the pyramids on the horizon, it made her shudder nervously. It was so close, and yet so far at the same time.

"I believe it will work, warrior goddess," Wheelie said suddenly in a gentle voice. "The Matrix is a tool only Primes can use. That means Optimus can wield it too." She turned her head to look at the small bot. "That Key is connected to him in ways we don't understand. Primus made it himself, so I know it will work."

"Don't give her false hope, Wheelie. It still may not happen." Wheelie didn't listen to Simmons, nor did Saphira, she trusted the word of the bot more than she Simmons at the moment.

"Don't listen to him. I will be shocked if it did not work." He placed a hand on Saphira's arm and rubbed it gently. "If we had the Cube shard that had woken Megatron, it would also be able to revive him. Sadly, we do not."

Saphira knew that. She looked away from Wheelie, looking ahead as the sun was setting here in Egypt. She felt very tired at the moment. Being in a different part of the world, it definitely felt as though she changed time zones right now. But also, the weight of everything on her mind right now just felt so much. But, they needed shelter. They arrived in the town and Simmons spots an old temple near the pyramids, deciding it might be a good place to hide. Though they had to climb a hill to get there. Thankfully, there were stairs up to it. Bee let her, Simmons and Wheelie out before he transformed to follow them up the hills. Barricade and the twins follow them, keeping watch of their surroundings. The locals were startled by the transformers and flee, they likely would not know who to call though.

They reach the top and Saphira gazed up at the pyramids with a smile. "If only we were here for better reasons. They are so beautiful." She looked at Bee who gazed at them. "Of course, they don't have a beautiful history…" He glanced at her with a surprised expression. "Probably not a good time to tell you about it."

Barricade chuckled softly. "I am aware of the history. Humans are pretty cruel to their own kind, and weird when it comes to leaders and such." He walked towards the temple as Simmons ran towards it and gazed at the pyramid curiously. "In any case, we won't fit in there."

"That is fine, you can keep a lookout for us." Saphira smiled at him and ran towards the temple.

"Undercover, yo," Skids said, looking around as he appeared to be creeping, which made Saphira, Bee and Barricade roll their eyes. "You gotta blend in with your surroundin's. Ya know, you gotta be part of the landscape."

"Says the idiot who is bright green," Barricade teased, knocking the bot to the ground playfully. "Only Bee here can blend in sort of with the yellow colour on his body."

Mudflap chuckled at his brother. "You're a dumbass!"

Skids glared at him, but he does nothing as Simmons gestured for Saphira to enter the temple after Wheelie burned through the chain holding the doors shut. Saphira ran towards it and paused, turning to look at the bots with a smile.

"I hope you don't mind keeping watch. Just lay low, please. We already might have had our cover blown earlier."

"You can count on me," Bee said through the radio and transformed to drive away with the other bots.

Saphira watch them roll away before stepping inside the cooler building with Simmons and Wheelie. She closed the door and she walked around the temple curiously. She could see it has not been used for a long time, it had been abandoned and it had just been sitting here. Deciding it was something to do to help waste a bit of time, she walked around the building quietly to look around. Simmons found somewhere to lay down, he was tired and he fell asleep. She could hear him snoring through the whole building. It was amusing, yet annoying at the same time.

However, as she walked around, the symbols came back with a vengeance. She stumbled and held herself up by an old shelf. "Easy, Miss Dawn," Wheelie said as he raced over to Saphira. "Are you okay?" She grumbled and held her head before glancing at him as the symbols fade with a nod. He widened his eyes in shock. "Oh, uh...I dunno how to tell ya this, but uh, there's blood dripping from your nose."

Saphira placed her hand on her nose for a second and looks at her palm. She was surprised, she guessed maybe the stress of today was the cause. "I will be fine. I saw a tower connecting to this temple, I might sleep in the fresh air."

"It might be a bit cold. I'll see if there are any old blankets that you can borrow." Wheelie turned away to look around.

Saphira smiled as she straightened herself up, she wiped her upper lip and made her way to the short bridge to a tower. She glanced up at the closest pyramid with a smile as dusk settled in. She felt the air cool down and she shivered. She walked over to the tower and sat down, looking at the structure with awe. It was beautiful as the stars begin to glitter in the night sky. She wished with all her might that Optimus was here right now with her.

She jumped when a blanket was handed to her. "Here you are. I hope you will be warm enough. We gotta big day tomorrow. I'll keep watch while your and snorasaurus get some shut eye."

"Thanks Wheelie." Saphira covers herself with the blanket and wrapped it around herself. "I'm glad you changed sides. Must be nice to do something good."

"Yeah, it does. It feels weird, but I'll get used to it." Wheelie shrugged and turned to roll away. "I'll be here until ya'll get sick of me."

Saphira chuckled softly, she doubted that would happen. She looked away and glanced up at the pyramid. She took a deep breath and got herself as comfortable as she possibly could. Her mind went to Optimus and his ancestors. She wondered what those Primes would have thought about Optimus. Would they be proud? Would they be disappointed? Maybe they wouldn't care either way. She wasn't sure. Still, she thought about Optimus as she closed her eyes to fall asleep.

However, she did not have a restful sleep. She found herself in a nightmare, she was being chased by Megatron and Starscream, she could hear and see Optimus fighting them. At least, until she would turn around to see Megatron's blade in his chest. But Optimus did not fall, his eyes change to red and blue on his body turned to dark, greyish blue, his head would turn to her and there would be no warmth in those eyes. Only murder and hate. And in that moment, her feet were stuck, she could not move. Megatron and Starscream laugh as Optimus approaches her with energon blades ready. She screams at him, begging for life. He lifts his sword and strikes it down at her.

Saphira sat up with a yelp, her eyes were wide and she glanced around in a panic. She took deep breaths and felt tears in her eyes. "Why did I have a nightmare like that?" She whimpered to herself. She sniffled and glanced up at the pyramid. The sky was dim, she realized it was nearly sunrise. The town was silent and she glanced up at the sky. "I don't even know if you have an afterlife Optimus...but I miss you. I miss you so much, and I am sorry I didn't tell you how I feel about you. I hope we can get a second chance..."

She was silent for a moment, staring at the stars and smiled a little. "I bet if my grandfather was alive right now, he would have liked you Optimus. If he really had met transformers before in his life, meeting a Prime would be his greatest achievement. I assume that anyway…but…sadly you two won't even meet. Unless, by chance, you meet in the afterlife of course…" She chuckled a little at that before relaxing.

Saphira stared at the pyramids, she didn't feel like going back to sleep at the moment. Her eyes glanced at a set of stars that took her interest. It was only then she realized something. It was staring back at her right now. She smiled slightly and stood up, running into the temple.

Wheelie, who was on his way to check on Saphira, yelped in surprise when Saphira rushed into the temple. "Woah, woah!" He shrieked, stumbling backwards. "Where are you goin'?"

"Sorry, Wheelie," Saphira said, glancing back at him with an apologetic expression. "Didn't mean to nearly knock you over. But I have figured it out. I know what the Three Kings are."

The bot widened his eyes when she said that and smiled. "About time too."

"Simmons!" Saphira shouted, following the snoring through the building to where the man was sleeping. He was on his side. "Wake up! I figured it out!"

Simmons gasped and grumbled, opening his eyes as he was startled by the shouting. "Oh my god! Can you just be quiet!" He grumbled loudly, placing his hands over his face.

"I figured it out, Seymour!" Saphira shouted, looking at him as he parted his fingers to look back at her. "This is worth waking up for. Come on!" She gestured for him to follow her. "I'll show you."

Simmons groaned, he did not want to get up. But Saphira stood there with an expression that told him she was serious. He doubted she would leave him alone until he got up to see. He grumbled as he stood up, rubbing his face and yawning. She smiled and gestured for him to follow her, turning to go back the way she came. Wheelie followed the two humans as he too was curious about what Saphira knew. Especially as she seemed to be pretty confident she had the answer to the riddle.

Once they were outside, Simmons glanced at the pyramids briefly. "This had better be worth it. I can't believe you dragged me out of bed for this."

"It will be worth it," Saphira said with a grin. She could see he was grumpy, she understood that perfectly, but right now he needed to be awake to hear what she had to say. She turned towards the pyramids and points towards three stars in the sky. "Do you see those three stars? You see how the last one touches the horizon?" Simmons made no comment, but he followed her gesture as Saphira explained. "That's Orion's Belt, but it's also called the Three King." The man and Wheelie widen their eyes as she told them the name of the stars and Saphira turned with a smile. "And the reason for that is the three Egyptian Kings who built the pyramids of Giza built them to mirror those stars, so it's like an arrow staring at us straight in the face."

Simmons stepped forward as he glanced towards the stars and pyramids curiously. "They all point due East, towards Jordan. The mountains of Petra."

"That means the tomb must be over there somewhere," Wheelie said with a smile on his face. "You are real smart, girl. I am so glad I joined the right side."

Saphira smiled at him. "We should go. It is nearly sunrise."

Simmons looked at her in surprise. "Slow down thoroughbred!" She stopped when she heard him snap at her. "I am still tired! I am going to go back to sleep."

She frowned at the man, rolling her eyes. "You can always sleep in the car, Seymour. I want to sleep too, but we can't be wasting time either."

Simmons groaned and nodded in agreement. "Okay, sure, we can sleep in the car. I doubt the bots know where we are going anyway."

"Don't worry, they will wake up when we get close enough." Saphira turned and walked away, she didn't really have anyway to contact the bots though. "Um, Wheelie, can you communicate this to the bots? I don't have a radio or anything."

"Already past the message on," Wheelie said to her with a grin. "They are on their way back right as we speak."

Saphira was glad about that. She walked through the temple to the door and stood there waiting for the bots to return. She was eager to get going, even though she did feel like she should go back to bed. She heard Simmons walk behind her, he was yawning loudly and she could feel his glare on her, but she ignored him for now.

Her face lights up when she saw the Camaro, Chevrolet cars and Challenger approaching. She ran over to Bee excitedly. "Alright, we have a lead." She stepped into the passenger side and relaxed. "Hopefully, it won't be too difficult finding this tomb."

"We can only try," Bee responds through the radio.

Simmons sighed as he sat in the driver's seat with a yawn. "Alright, drive carefully Bee. Saphira and I are still tired. We're going to get some more sleep before the sun is up higher."

Saphira chuckled softly as Bee played some music that sounded a bit like a lullaby. The man rolled his eyes and closed his eyes, laying his head to the side a bit as he fell asleep. Saphira herself thought about sleep, but the nightmare she had before made her a little scared of falling asleep. However, she knew she needed to sleep.

"Are ya not tired?" Wheelie asked as he watched Saphira quietly.

"I am…but…" Saphira glanced at the small bot and looked out the window. "It's just…I had a nightmare before…"

The small bot widened his eyes and looked at her curiously. "Let me guess, it was about Optimus."

"You could say that. It wasn't exactly great." She didn't want to talk about what it was exactly though. "Do you think Optimus will still want me if we revive him?"

"Well, I don't know the guy personally. However, from everythin' that I have heard, he will still love ya if he is revived." He placed a hand on her shoulder gently with a smile. "Ya should not lose faith Saphira. I know him bein' the commander means he has a lot of responsibility, and he needs to do thin's because he's a commander. But he will always make time for ya. I know that he will."

"Of course he will," Bee said through the radio as he listened to the conversation. "You will not ever be let down. In fact, you will probably be surprised."

Saphira hoped for that. She didn't want to be away from him. She understood Optimus would still be hesitant because she is human. It made sense. He is a lot stronger than her. But, Saphira did hope he would finally relent and she could see his holoform. She had already tried to imagine what Optimus's holoform would look like. She imagined a strong jaw, large, broad shoulders and abs that were to die for. She knew it was somewhat childish, but she couldn't help it.

"Try to sleep, Saphira," Wheelie encouraged her gently. "Ya won't be good to anyone if you are too tired and unable to do anything properly. Ya need to be well rested. I believe we might be in for a fight when the sun rises."

"I hope not." She did not want to be in the middle of a fight.

"I actually still have connections to the communication with the decepticons," Wheelie said, surprising Saphira and making her glance at him. "I heard Soundwave lettin' everyone know ya were detected about the same time we had past through that checkpoint. I think they recognized ya almost instantly. The hair trick was good, but not good enough it seemed."

That was just great…the decepticons knew where she was. "Hopefully we will find the Matrix before the decepticons find us. Thanks, Wheelie. It seems like they don't care about you."

"Nope, they don't. I'm just a scrap drone. They tend to forget we exist a lot, so we get to make a mess of things for them." Wheelie smiled as he thought about the past. "I know my buddy Brains has been wantin' to get away from them for a while. I think he left months ago…I think. Anyway, he's super genius, smart. I think he would be great to join us at some point."

"If we ever come across him." Saphira yawned a little, realizing she might end up falling asleep. "I might try and sleep. Bee, try not to drive too fast or roughly. Wake us up when the sun is higher in the sky."

"As ya wish." Wheelie smiled as Saphira relaxed in her chest.

She felt the seat leaning back slightly, making her smile as Bee's thoughtfulness was so sweet. She closed her eyes to attempt to fall asleep. Her mind went to Optimus again, wondering how he would react to being woken up. She didn't know if he would remember anything, though Megatron did not seem to. So she assumed that Optimus would still have his memory. She tried to picture what it would be like to revive him, and hearing his body come to life again. That excitement was something she looked forward to. All she could hope for was that Megatron stayed away long enough for that to happen. Same with the Fallen, she was certain he was heading their way now if the decepticons know she is in Egypt. She also hoped that Jetfire was okay, she didn't know what he is doing right now. At least she felt, in some way, she was continuing her grandfather's work as Jetfire pretty much gave her a clue to this secret he had kept from her. And she looked forward to inheriting it now.
