Saphira was terrified right now, she was being brought to Megatron by the Fallen. She did not think he would, considering he despises the human race, so it was odd to her that he would do this. Nonetheless, Saphira trembled in his grasp as the Fallen reaches the top of the pyramid. She gazed around in disbelief, hoping Optimus would get to them in time to put an end to all of this and save the planet.

"Fallen, my master," Megatron spoke in a respectful tone. "It has been such a pleasure today. I apologize for not being able to stop the revival of Optimus. However…I am pleased you brought her to me."

Fallen grimaces, glancing at Saphira for a moment. "I don't understand your interest in her, but she will produce fine sparklings for you." He suddenly tossed her towards Megatron. The girl shrieked in surprise before Megatron caught her. "Make sure she does not cause any further trouble. Not even my brothers could stop me from this."

Saphira watched as Megatron held her in his palm, she saw the Matrix being moved into a slot of the machine and she heard it come to life. "Yes, no one could stop you. Not even you, little thing." She grimaced as Megatron spoke to her. "Oh, you have been through so much. I will make sure you are well looked after."

She turned her head to look at him with a frown. "You shot me!"

He shrugged casually. "You are not dead."

She sighed and looked away, grimacing at the pain in her ribs. "Well…" She shuddered at the Fallen glared at her with a disgusted expression. "Um…"

"Pathetic insect…" Fallen hissed before grinning at her. "Watch now!" The crests around his face twitch as he spoke. He glanced upward and spread his arms. "Now I claim your sun!"

Saphira glanced down as the gears turn within the machine and she trembled. "All this to save Cybertron huh?" She mumbled softly.

"What did you say?" Megatron hissed at her, making her flinch from his voice. He growled a little and lifts his finger to rub her forehead gently. "Such a pretty, little thing. I am so…" Saphira coughed suddenly, making him grimace and she covered her mouth with her hand. She groaned and looked at her hand to see the red liquid. Megatron was surprised to see the blood on her hands. "Hmm…" He moves her to his shoulder suddenly, she gasped and grabbed a hold of his shoulder to keep from slipping. "You will stay there, do not move. If you do, I will not be so kind."

Saphira just nodded before yelping as missiles impact the side of the pyramid. She glanced down and realized that the soldiers had turned their weapons towards the pyramid in an attempt to destroy the machine. She smiled slightly, she knew they would not give up until there was no hope left. She wipes her hand on her clothes, taking deep breaths to try and ignore the pain. Still, she did wonder if Megatron moved her to his shoulder because he noticed she was in pain.

"They don't give up do they!" Fallen hissed angrily, glaring at the missiles that were being launched towards them.

She looked at Fallen with a raised eyebrow. "It would be more cowardly to not defend our own world."

He turned his head towards her and growled at her. "Shut your mouth! Do not speak to me, maggot!"

He lunged something towards her and Saphira yelped, huddling against Megatron's neck, and tensing when she felt a crack against her side. She whimpered, realizing he had whipped her with something. "Shit…" She cursed before she realized she was huddled against Megatron. He was grinning at her and she shifted back, though she trembled from the pain and glanced at her side, widening to see her shirt had been burned through and there was a large burn mark on top of the bruise from her broken ribs. "Fantastic…"

"You should be more respectful," Megatron mocked her with a chuckle. "Oh, but I do love how you huddled against me. He, he, he, Optimus will be so mad at you when he finds that out."

She said nothing back to him. Saphira knew it was just a reaction. Right now, she decided it was best to keep as quiet as possible. She did not want the Fallen to attack her again, and Megatron did nothing to stop him too. But, she did guess perhaps Megatron did not want to bear the brunt of the Fallen's wrath. He was scary. Saphira just took a deep breath and looked down at the town, wondering if Optimus will get there on time.

"In moments, we will be at firing strength," Megatron said in a happy tone, glancing down at the humans who were still firing at them. "Still…those insects are so annoying! They should just let it all happen."

Saphira frowned, but she said nothing. The Fallen seemed to agree though, he turned and lifts his hands, and it seemed he had magnetised himself as she watched vehicles being pulled in. Humans were also pulled in and Saphira tensed, watching with wide, fear filled eyes and grimaced as a helicopter crashes into the pyramid. She found herself huddling against Megatron again, but she did not pay attention to him as she stared. The Fallen suddenly released his pull and she watched as everything that had been pulled in drop, crashing onto the side of the pyramid. She watched tanks, large sandstone pieces and other things roll down the pyramid.

She bit her finger nervously, the Fallen pulled more objects in again to repeat the same thing, he seemed to be enjoying himself as well. "What will you do once you destroy the sun?" Saphira asked nervously, glancing at Megatron slightly.

"We will create more decepticons, you will be assisting me with my own of course," Megatron responded with a chuckle. "And perhaps, we can use the remains of this dead planet to rebuild Cybertron."

"Yes, and I shall rule Cybertron!" Fallen declared with a grin. "No body will have the power to stand against us! I will crush Optimus's spark, and ensure there will be no further resurrections." He turned his head to look at her with a glare. "Don't get comfortable, you will be leaving the life as you know it behind after today."

Saphira felt tears in her eyes as she thought about that. "Well…whatever human made you mad, the rest of us shouldn't have to pay for it."

The Fallen growled at her. "Shut up, maggot!"

"Keep quiet!" Megatron growled at her, making her cower and tremble. "You ask too many questions! You don't need those answers! You just sit there, and shut up!"

Saphira was more than happy to comply. She glanced back down, watching more tanks, vehicles, buildings and aircraft being pulled in by the Fallen. She could not see Optimus, but they were too far from them. She did not want to be seated on Megatron's shoulder for any longer than she has already. However, as she stared at the town, she saw something launching into the sky with a stream of black smoke trailing behind it. She thought at first it was Jetfire, but the closer it got, she realized it was Optimus with Jetfire's parts on his body.

She widened her eyes and realized Jetfire must have sacrificed himself. "Thank you, Jetfire," She whispered, glancing at the sky briefly and flinching as the Fallen pulled up more rocks and the jets flying towards them were pulled in as well.

"This planet will be dark forever!" Fallen growled loudly, he didn't even see Optimus approaching. Not straight away.

Saphira watched as Optimus flew through the debris of the rocks Fallen had lifted up, the bot snapped his head towards Optimus and growled. Saphira could see Optimus's eyes, he was pissed. He had every right to be pissed. Especially since she had just revived him and she had been taken from him again. Optimus flew straight at Fallen, the former Prime jumped at him to stop him, though Optimus tackled him into the side of the pyramid. She smiled, hearing the sound of his canon charging and firing at the weapon, destroying it on impact.

Saphira yelped as the impact of the pulse sent Megatron rolling down the pyramid. She clutched his shoulder as best as she could. Megatron collapsed on top of an old temple, the impact of his body falling through the roof caused her to lose her grip. Saphira screamed and she landed on some of the falling roof, which softened her fall before landing on the ground. She scrambled to her feet and ran out, Megatron sat up and saw her fleeing.

"Get back here!" He roared, running after her to catch her. "You are MINE!"

Saphira ran as fast as she could from the temple, the thudding of Megatron's feet closing in terrified her. She ran into another temple with a skinny entrance, though she knew it would not very little. He slammed into the building, smashing through the walls and glancing around. Saphira hit behind a pillar and covered her mouth with her hand to keep herself from making too much noise.

"Where are you?!" Megatron roared, walking closer to the pillar she was hiding behind. "I know you are in here, Saphira. You cannot hide from me forever. I will get you in my clutches!"

Saphira screamed as the wall in front of her was hit by a missile. She dropped to the ground, covering her face, huddling against the wall fearfully. She glanced up to see Optimus, he was glaring at Megatron and shot at the decepticon, sending him flying into the opposite side of the temple. She trembled as she took deep breaths, trying to calm herself down before hearing the sound of crumbling from above.

"Saphira!" Optimus called to her before the Fallen jumped at him and punched him. "ARRGH!"

Saphira ran out of the building just as it began to collapse, she saw Optimus punch Fallen in the face and grab his throat, charging his gun to shoot him through multiple pillars. She could see he was focused on rescuing her first before dealing with Megatron and Fallen. Saphira covered her ears at the loud, thundering sound of the Fallen slamming into the pillars and she glanced at Optimus.

"MINE!" Megatron roared from behind her, and Saphira yelped as she felt his hand snatch her from the ground. He grinned at Optimus as the autobot commander glared at him. "Oh, and by the way, she was huddling against me. So I think that tells who she likes more."

Saphira grimaced as she struggled in his grasp. Optimus did not seem to care for Megatron's words anyway, he began charging his guns and stepped towards Megaton to fight him as Fallen jumped down on top of him, pulling Optimus down backwards slightly.

"Die like your brothers!" Fallen roared at Optimus, gripping at the wings on Optimus's back.

Optimus growled and back kicks at Fallen's legs, causing him to stumble slightly before swinging his leg around, kicking him in the face and shooting at his chest, sending the Fallen into the corner of a temple. "They were your brothers too!" Optimus snapped back, stomping towards him and grabbing him by his head, slamming it into the wall.

Megatron growled as he watched and placed Saphira back on his shoulder, arming his sword and walking towards Optimus. Saphira was tense as she held tightly, Megatron jumped on Optimus's back and attempted to slice his neck. Optimus growled loudly, glancing over his shoulder as Saphira as the engines in the jet turn on and he flies the Fallen and Megatron into a wall, Megatron kept his grip while Fallen stumbled away for a moment. Optimus punched Megatron away, the decepticon grinned and swung his sword as Optimus's chest to attempt to stab him again, Optimus stepped back to avoid and Megatron shoots him. The blast was weak though, and Optimus ducked, grabbing Megatron's arm and holding him firm.

"Saphira, get off him! Now!" Optimus yelled at Saphira, his shoulder pressed against Megatron's to allow her to get off.

"NO!" Megatron roared, lifting his other hand to stop her.

Saphira scrambled as quickly as she could as Optimus blocks Megatron, breaking his arm in half and jumped onto Prime's shoulder, clutching tightly before Optimus charged his weapon. She held onto Optimus and glanced at Megatron just as Optimus fired, blasting half of Megatron's face into pieces. She watched with wide eyes as Megatron roared in pain with energon spilling from his face. He tried to attack Optimus again, only for Optimus to block him and charge the cannons on his back, he aimed them at Megatron and shoots him, sending him through a temple wall. Saphira didn't know if that killed him or not.

"Pathetic!" Fallen roared, running at Optimus and throwing a boulder at him, aiming for Saphira. She covered her face as Optimus hits it away. "You bring shame upon us all!"

Saphira felt herself slipping again, she couldn't be on his shoulder safely as Fallen struck Optimus in the back. She nearly lost her grip and her legs slip down in front of his chassis, Optimus glanced at her with wide optics and spun his body, kicking Fallen away. She managed to feel the gap of his chassis and slipped herself within the chassis, feeling some of the leather of the truck seats. Optimus placed a hand over his chassis briefly.

"I won't slip from here, Optimus," Saphira said to him in a breathless voice. "Kill him! He will not show any mercy!"

"She is right!" Fallen roared, throwing another boulder at Optimus. "She is a smart insect!"

Optimus turned his body, avoiding the boulder and slicing it with his energon sword, he shoots at Fallen as he ran towards him. Fallen widened his optics in surprise as the energon sword slid through his face slightly, he growled and hits Prime's arm down slightly. Fallen punched him downward slightly and pulled off one of the engines. Saphira grimaced as she knew it was Jetfire's part, however, she saw Fallen swinging the engine around and slamming it in Optimus's face and chassis.

Saphira yelped, ducking herself further under the chassis, she felt the impact shuddering his body and it sounded horrible. "You can do this Prime. And I am with you." She placed a hand on his chest gently as she knew he could feel her right above his spark.

The Fallen grabbed his staff and attempted to hit Prime with it, aiming for his chassis to break through it and Optimus blocked him, grabbing the staff with his hands. "You picked the wrong planet!" Optimus growled at Fallen, taking the staff from him and pulling it around to staff him in the back of his head. Saphira peered out from the chassis to see Optimus pushing the Fallen against the corner of a temple, keeping the staff where it is. "Give me your face!" She widened her eyes as he gripped the staff and pulled it upward, literally slicing the Fallen's face off. The Fallen roared in pain, and chirped in a disorientated way, he tried to run from Optimus in a last attempt to survive. Optimus followed him and she watched him punch his hand through Fallen's back, grab his spark and smash it in front of his eyes. She blinked in surprise, she had never seen Optimus so ruthless and angry before as she watched the bot fall slowly with energon dripping from his mouth. "I rise, you fall."

Saphira took deep breaths as she stared at Fallen's body, she felt the chassis around her suddenly move and Optimus moved his hand to her. She smiled and moved to step on it, looking up at him with relief in her eyes. "We did it…again…"

Optimus chuckled gently at her. "So it would seem." He turned his head towards the pyramid for a moment. "We should retrieve the Matrix."

"It wasn't destroyed?" Saphira asked curiously, she thought Optimus would have destroyed it when he shot the machine.

"It is not something that can be destroyed so easily. I hope you do not mind accompanying me." He moved his hand towards his shoulder and Saphira gladly climbed on. "After all, you have had a rough couple days."

"You have no idea." Saphira shifted to huddle against Optimus as he walked towards the pyramid to climb it to retrieve the Matrix. "But…I suppose it was all worth it. You're alive again…and…we saved the world again."

Optimus nodded slowly. "At least, you no longer have to grieve for me."

"Yeah…and I don't have to be full of regret." Saphira smiled with a slight shrug, she moved closer to kiss his cheek. "I imagine you feel the same way too."

He exhaled a little as he began to climb the pyramid. "I suppose I do feel regret…" He did not look at Saphira as he climbed the pyramid to reach the top. "But…I am still not sure…"

Saphira guessed his feelings for her were the reason he was saying that. "Look, Optimus…I think…well…" She sighed as she hesitated for a moment. "I think…you said once that fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing."

"I did say that." Optimus reached the top of the pyramid, gazing at the machine in front of him and reaching in to find the Matrix. "What are you trying to say with that?"

"Don't you think that maybe…you and I…you know…" Saphira felt her cheeks heat up as she spoke. "I have…I am going to admit I…" She groaned a little as she didn't know why she didn't know how to say it. "I don't really know how I can…uhh…"

He broke one of the pillars of the machine and pulled out the Matrix, turning his head to look at Saphira. "You worry that because you were not shown love growing up, you don't know how to express it, right?"

She nodded shyly, twirling a strand of her hand with her finger. "Yeah…that…is pretty much what I am saying. Sheesh, this is kind of embarrassing for me."

The autobot smiled at her and began making his way back down the pyramid. "You and I will have a different opinion on that. You would not have given me that gem if you did not know how to express. And, despite what Megatron had said, I know you did not huddle against him because you like him. It was from fear. You are huddling against me because you enjoy my company, and I am comforting to you."

She shrugged a little. "I suppose you are right."

Optimus chuckled softly at her. "You are acting quite adorable at the moment. However, I am concerned by the injuries you have sustained. Your shoulders are bleeding again."

She widened her eyes and glanced at them, she had not realized. "I…didn't realize. I've been so caught up with everything else, I didn't notice. But…Fallen did whip me with something…" She points to her right side to show Optimus. "It hurts."

The bot widened his optics and growled a little. "It will take much longer to heal than a normal burn. Energon weapons on humans, that is what he did to you."

"Lovely…at least I won't have to go to college." Saphira realized she had no plans on what to do after this was over. "Oh…I hope I can…people won't forget my face easily."

"What do you mean?" Optimus asked curiously as he reached the bottom of the pyramid.

"When you were offline…Fallen introduced himself to the world and pretty much asked people to turn me into the decepticons," Saphira explained. "And everyone got to see my face. I worry I have lost my bank account, my inheritance…everything."

Optimus's optics soften as he realized the gravity of Saphira's situation. "I am terribly sorry. It should not have happened that way. I trust Major Lennox will ensure that you will have your life back. Or, even a better life."

"I hope so. Maybe I can work at NEST…might as well do something else with my time." Saphira glanced over her shoulder at Jetfire's parts. "Is Jetfire still alive?"

"No. He sacrificed himself to allow me to use his parts. He did tell me to let you know that he was glad to have met you." Optimus smiled at her as tears fill her eyes. "I am sorry. I know he had a connection with your grandfather. I suppose those two had their purpose finished."

"Yeah…" Saphira blinked as Optimus began to shake off the parts. "Won't you keep them?"

"I'll have Ratchet and Ironhide refit them for myself. Don't worry, I won't dishonour him like that." Optimus winked at her and she blushed, looking away from him. "When we get back to America, we should take a drive together to the field. What do you say about that?"

Saphira smiled at him and nodded. "I would love to. Just you and I…still…" She glanced towards the town where the others were waiting. "We lost Arcee and Moonracer…"

"Oh…" Optimus's face turned sad upon hearing that. "They were great warriors. We will hold something for them to remember them by." He glanced ahead and saw Barricade being tended to by Ratchet. "It seems Barricade now has the respect of the other autobots."

"He does. He has been really helpful." Saphira hoped Prime would not get rid of him. "He should be allowed to stay. He and Jetfire are great examples for decepticons to look to if they ever choose to stop living a life of hate."

Optimus nodded slowly. "You are right. I may not have been online to see it, but I do trust the judgement of my fellow autobots. I will not kick him out. I will still keep a close eye on him, after all, I know he has affection towards you."

"He's admitted to them." He turned his head to Saphira and narrowed his eyes slightly. "But he understands where my heart lies. It is painful for him, I kind of feel sad. He's quite okay with just being friends. I hope he finds someone worthy of him."

Optimus hummed gently and smiled at her. "It seems I do not need to worry."

She chuckled softly. "Come now, jealousy is not a good look for you." She kissed his cheek again. "It has taken me a while to realise my own feelings too, you know. Bee pretty much told me about you." He widened his optics in surprise at that. "I guess…you and I are somewhat alike. We're not good talking about our inner feelings…when it comes to feelings for the other." She chuckled nervously and twirled another strand of hair with her finger. "And that is okay…I…am pretty shy about it."

She was blushing hard and she watched Optimus lift his open palm to her and she happily slid onto his hand. "Maybe because we fear what might happen if we do."

"Eh, just knowing you seems to be enough," Saphira said with a shrug. "Still…I am not eighteen yet. I…" She noticed Optimus was holding her close to him and her heart felt like it would just break from her chest. "O-Optimus…you wouldn't…hurt me? Would you?"

"Why would think that?" Optimus was surprised by the question and smiled at her. "I understand, I am an autobot. Of course…you being worried about that is understandable."

"I am not talking about physical. Just…I don't…" She felt tears fall from her eyes as she spoke to him. "Watching you fall to the ground was the most painful thing I have gone through, Optimus. I don't ever want to go through that again. It made me realize just how much I…I…I need you. I just…hope nothing will make you feel the need to…"

"Saphira, I would never make you feel worthless," Optimus interrupts, troubled by the words coming from Saphira's mouth. "I won't leave intentionally. I hope that means if I ever do work with the military, you won't be mad about that."

She grinned at him. "That is different. I'll still worry, but I think that is normal."

He hummed a little with a slight nod. "Maybe you get the chance of being a soldier yourself."

She shakes her head with a chuckle. "No thanks, um, I have the weapon on my wrist and that's enough for me. But…" She thought for a moment as she thought on what she could do. "I wonder if they need someone to help teach defensive driving."

Optimus rolled his optics in amusement. "I never would have guessed you would want to have that adrenaline return to you. You love the thrill too much."

"I had enough of it for today, anyway. We should probably head back." She placed a hand to her side. "I really should see a doctor."

Optimus narrowed his eyes slightly, he was very worried about Saphira. "Yes, we should."

She smiled, glancing up slightly at the sunset around them. She looked at the pyramid with a slight smile. "It is a shame we are not here for a vacation. The pyramids were beautiful last night, under the stars."

Optimus knew she was thinking about the star gazing he and she had done before. He was sure this land was beautiful at night. He looked at her as she sat in his hand, looking around at her surroundings. He was certain she was more beautiful than she had been before. His eyes linger on her lips, they were cracked and dry, but they were still beautiful.

Saphira turned her head and noticed his gaze. "Are you okay? I am not going to die of these injuries, trust me, the doctors will…" She widened her eyes when Optimus pulled her closer suddenly and his metal lips were against hers. She felt her body heating up, he was so gentle and she kissed back with a slight moan before he pulled her away. "Woah…that was some kiss."

Optimus chuckled gently at her, she was blushing hard again and it felt good. He had longed to kiss her for so long, but he had resisted that urge. After all, Saphira is a human and he didn't want to cause her harm. He could see how brave she was. She might not want to admit it, but she was braver than a lot of humans in the world. He hoped that would never fade. They reunite with Lennox and the autobots with Optimus telling Barricade he is welcome to join the autobots and take an autobot badge. The former decepticon was so thrilled, he actually hugged Optimus, which was a surprise to everyone. However, Lennox told them it would take a week to get back as they would be using an aircraft carrier to return home. That was fine by Saphira. And she did get pulled away from Optimus by medics to get looked over, even though she needed a full medical examination with proper equipment that was on the ship. He was worried about the severity of her injuries, though Ratchet assured him she would be alright. For both Optimus and Saphira, it felt like the start of something new.
