Liam wanted to bang his head against the wall. Then he wanted to go back to the hotel and get some sleep. He was just done for the day and tired of trying to make sure that 001 was playing nice with everyone.

He almost wished he was at the camp because at least at the camp, everyone knew not to mess with 001 and would just leave him the fuck alone. But not in Korea, where his friends and family were more than eager to try and help him recover at the detriment of 001's temper.

It was so awkward, it was painful.

Idly, 001 flicked the pocketknife open and closed, the sharp noise of the blade flicking in and out filled the silence of the room. Quietly, Isak sat next to him, his knees pulled up to his chest as fiddled with his phone, music played quietly from his headphones. Sat on the other side of 001, Liam watched the entire thing go down.

Across from them, were 001's friends and family and they were being awkward as shit about sitting in the silence. "Hey…" His attention was drawn to the blond-haired one – Hyeokjin if he remembered correctly- and the teen nervously eyed the knife in 001's hand, "Can you put that away? Actually, is that even legal? How did you even get that in here?" Liam snorted. That sounded like bitch talk to him and he was sure that Isak and 001 agreed, but 001 complied. That just showed how confident 001 was, none of them looked strong enough to beat the average militia soldier, forget the three of them with their background.

Besides, if any of them did get physical, it was going to be something of a struggle to make sure that 001 didn't hurt any of them.

But if anything, they were the ones being awkward, he, 001, and Isak were just fine with the silence. They were used to sitting in the silence and if anything, they preferred the silence. You couldn't say anything wrong and be punished for it if you didn't say anything in the first place.

That didn't make it any more comfortable for the others and just like he had been doing the entire time, Liam needed to get the ball rolling.

"Okay," Liam breathed out, clapping his hands together as he did so, "Let's try this again. 001, stop being a dick," 001 glowered, "These are your friends and family. Friends and family, this is 001. Well, you guys know him as Ijin so don't get confused when me and my brother call him by 001." 001 gave the group a nod and after a few awkward hellos from the group. They had quickly lapsed in silence once more.

Liam gave them a few pointed looks, he already opened the door for conversation, they needed to pick up the slack and continue it. "Um, why do you call Ijin 001?" Yeongchan quietly asked, cutting through the silence with a difficult question.

He could have slapped his forehead out of frustration, that was what he got for wanting them to continue the conversation.

001, as the socially inept person that he was, gave a painfully blunt answer. "Those are our numbers. They were assigned to us." As always, his explanation was short, and to the point. 001 didn't provide further clarification though it was obvious that they waited for it.

Isak nodded, "It's mostly out of habit. It's weird to call each other by name." Liam hummed in agreement. Though they knew each other's names, it was weird to use their first names, especially since no one at the camp ever went by their given names. It was pure nicknames or code names, just because they learned each other's names didn't mean that they were going to start using them.

The teenager let out a single 'ah' of understanding before it fell silent again. 001's friends and family were all looking at each other, uncertain of what to do or say next. Liam swore that if he looked close enough, he could see the guys elbowing each other.

Seokju was the next martyr. "So…" Seokju started awkwardly, his expression remained unchanged though Liam noticed the way the teenager slightly shrunk under 001's gaze, "you don't remember any of us?"

"This wouldn't be happening if I did." 001 said dryly, his expression flat as he answered the question. The corner of Seokju's lip turned down at his answer, an expression appeared that Liam couldn't decipher as anything but annoyance. Liam elbowed 001.

Liam earned a glare for that, but 001 reworded his previous answer. "No. I don't remember anyone. The last thing I remember was those women blowing up their own town. What happened after that?" 001 directed his question to him and Isak as they were the only ones who could answer his question.

He shrugged his shoulder, "Mad Dog went after our asses for failing. The women were able to escape, 015 kept his mouth shut. You and Mad Dog got into an argument." It had been something of a shit show when that had happened, but everything leading up to that point had also been a shit show, so no one had been particularly surprised.

"Oh yeah?" if it hadn't been for the slight inclination of interest in his voice, 001 would have looked disinterested otherwise, "What did he do? Reduce our rations again?"

"Yeah. Then 002 stepped in and it turned into a bit of a mess," Liam followed up, shaking out his shoulders as a chill went down his spine, "You left not too long after that. Mad Dog realized what you were doing, and you left before he could get you." 001 nodded his head in understanding, falling silent as he started to mull over that information.

A look towards the others made Liam realize that maybe they should have gone over that earlier, without 001's family and friends watching, but too little too late. All they could do now was stray away from that topic.

Or not. Liam should have figured that the topic of 001's previous life would catch their attention. "Er…what was Ijin doing?" Jaehyung withered under their gaze, but he also didn't make any move to try and retract the question. "To get him in trouble I mean."

001 was as dismissive as always. "I warned the villages we were assigned to take over."

"You were always softer than you let on," Liam said casually, not sparing a blink at the way 001 gave him a fierce side-eye.

" Killing civilians gets old."

He snorted. " I know." It was always a relief whenever 001 had warned the villages ahead of time. Not only was it preferable to complete a mission without killing anyone, but it also saved them time and supplies, something that had always been valuable. " I just like giving you shit." That earned an eye roll from 001. Despite the fact that 001 had become a two-time amnesiac, 001 was sassier than he had been previously.

Again, everyone fell into silence, the civilians being the only ones who were squirming under the silence. At a glance towards 001's sister and grandfather were the only ones who were sitting quietly, if anything, the grandfather was just watching 001's reactions, perhaps in an attempt to gauge how much of his grandson remained.

"Ijin…" the buzzcut boy started, and promptly withered when 001 turned to face the boy, "Do you have any questions…? Do you want anything…?" 001 mulled over the question for a few seconds, but it didn't take long for him to come up with an answer.

"No." Liam didn't blame 001 for his answer, not only did 001 have nothing to be curious about, 001 didn't know them. He didn't care if he used to know them, and what could he want from them if he didn't even know what they could give him? Save for companionship, which was certainly something he did not want at the moment, there wasn't much they could give him.

They exchanged looks, all of them either leaning forward or back to make eye contact with each other. "Well…" Dayeon pulled her backpack in front of her and already, Liam could feel 001 straightening up next to him, preparing for something to happen and Liam almost found himself doing the same, what was she pulling out that she found important enough to show him?

Isak whacked 001 with his arm, before he sent his brother a look, " Hey ," Isak didn't even look up from his phone entirely, he only spared them a glance, " Relax. Stop being so uptight. It's not like they can hurt you dipshit." Although it had been a good point, 001 gave Isak a flat look, one that Isak decidedly ignored.

Dayeon paused in the unzipping of her bag, she eyed the exchange warily, her eyes flicked between the three of them. But as soon as she got the go-ahead from Isak, she continued and pulled out a stuffed animal.

The girl got up and handed it to 001 before she scampered back to her seat. Without a second thought, 001 took it.

What the fuck was he supposed to do with it?

001 turned it over in his hands, feeling the soft texture of the fake fur under his fingers. It was soft and plush, much softer than anything he'd ever felt before and it was a panda.

No matter what it was, 001 could tell it was well-loved. The white of the fabric was dingy compared to the white paint of the room, and he could tell that the stuffing was no longer as elastic as it used to be, some of the limbs flopped around uselessly when he moved it.

There was something about it that made his chest tight, and for reasons he couldn't explain, a man with brown hair and a kind smile came to the forefront of his mind.

"It's yours." Dayeon brought him out of his thinking, and 001 couldn't help but frown at what he was hearing. "It uh…it's the first stuffed animal Major Kang, you're really close to him, it's the first one he gave you." she ended lamely,

That was stupid. It was the stupidest fucking thing he had ever heard. Him, owning stuffed animals? 001 was not a child, he was not one of those stupid kids he had seen so many times dragging the raggiest stuffed animal behind them as they followed their mothers around. Why would he need one? Why would someone give it to him? It was stupid. It was just a stuffed animal, there was no practical use to it. It was only useful to a child because children didn't have a need for practicality. The only thing they had to worry about was surviving long enough to grow up, and even then, the adults around them did a decent job of doing that.

001 was different. He was an adult, he couldn't own anything impractical, anything he didn't need for his day-to-day life was both a waste of money and space, it was useless to him.

Yet, despite what he thought about how dumb it was for him to have one, he almost couldn't bear the thought of throwing it away. The thought of getting rid of it made his stomach twist and turn.

Why was he so attached to such a dumb thing?

"Hey." That time, 001 did startle when 032 tugged at his sleeve and it took every ounce of self-control he had to not slap his hand away. 032 looked concerned, and his voice reflected it, " You're doing that thing again. Are you okay?"

Swallowing thickly, he recentered himself, "Fine." He set the stuffed panda down on his lap. "I'm fine." He caught himself running his thumb over it and forced himself to stop (he didn't).

He didn't know what 'thing' 032 was talking about, but he just hadn't been paying attention. It was nothing big, and although it was weird that he had let his guard down like that, it was back up now, and that was all that mattered.

006 didn't look convinced. "You sure? You didn't hear us when we were trying to get your attention. Do I need to call a nurse?"

" No." he made his voice firm, trying his best to get the brothers to back off without outright telling them to do so.

He got the hint. 032 raised his hands in defense as he backed off, "Hey relax man. I'm just trying to make sure you're not gonna do that weird thing again. Freaked me out last time. He's fine." 032 directed his ending words to the teenagers and it wasn't until then that he realized that all of them had been staring at them, their faces ranging from ones of worry all the way to sadness. "He's weird." 032 said as simply as he could in his broken Korean, much to the relief of the others.

"Ijin is always weird." Jaehyung quietly commented, getting a few scoffs and chuckles from the others, though the room quickly fell silent. Again, it was an awkward silence for everyone but the numbered.

001 didn't care, it wasn't his fault they were all too awkward for this. They needed to get used to sitting in silence.

He would have preferred that they stayed in silence longer, but as always, 006 had to interrupt it once more.

"Okay," 006 stood up and looked around the room as he spoke, "001, now that you're done with this thrilling conversation, "006 was not fazed by the look 001 sent him, "I was thinking your friends could take you out for a couple hours. You know, to help you jog your memory. Then you come back and go home with your family."

The others agreed but all 001 did was raise his eyebrow when they turned to him for his approval.

006 sighed. " 001. C'mon . You said that you would be willing to talk to them!"

"I said I was willing to talk to them." 001 said calmly, the annoyance was apparent in his voice. "I didn't say I was willing to do that ."

006 tried to convince him, the other occupants of the room giving them odd looks as he did so. "Look, all they're gonna do is take you to some places that can help jog your memories. Besides, don't you want to get out of his place?" 006 knew for a fact that 001 had been going stir-crazy. Not that 006 blamed him, 001 had been stuck in the hospital since he had woken up, and save for the little outing to the park, he hadn't left at all.

001 stared at him, his expression unchanging as he looked at 006 up and down. He almost squirmed on the spot with the way 001 was staring at him, with the way 001 seemed to be waiting for some type of change. But he stood his ground because not only did 001 need to take the stick out of his ass, there was no hidden intent to having his friends take him out. It was truly an attempt to help.

001 didn't break eye contact, but he huffed, a subtle sign that he was giving in. 006 kept his voice gentle, 001 was as aggressive and abrasive as he remembered and he wanted to try and avoid pissing him off, "It's just going to be a couple hours. We've done missions with the mercenaries for longer and they had guns, these guys can't hurt you even if they tried." And it wasn't like they wanted to hurt him in the first place, all they wanted to do was help their friend recover.

Again. 001 pursed his lips, his overall body language showed that he was not happy with the plan in the slightest. "Fine." 001's language switch amplified the attention onto him once more, "But the girls will stay here." 001 didn't care that the girls looked heartbroken at his order.

The only one 001 cared about was his sister and he wasn't going to take her along on an outing with a bunch of people he didn't know. Friends be damned, he didn't know them, and he didn't trust them. As for the other girl, he just plain didn't care for her, he also didn't want to deal with her on top of dealing with the others.

"What a good brother," 006 drawled out, apparently he felt bold, "Don't take it to heart. He just doesn't trust that they won't hurt you." 006 directed his words to Dayeon, who took comfort in knowing that he was denying her company out of protectiveness rather than rejection.

"I don't remember asking for your opinion 006." 001's voice was calm, but anyone who knew him well enough heard the undertone of annoyance in his voice.

"Stop hurting your sister's feelings, dork." His sister gave 006 a grateful smile and that did nothing to curb 001's annoyance. "Protecting your sister means keeping her happy. At least try not to make her cry every time you talk." 001 flipped him off, tired of 006's voice. He didn't want to hear that from the guy who ignored his brother for more than a decade.

Again, 006 was unphased. "Now that we got that sorted out. Get ready to go. Me and Isak will hang back to keep an eye on your family. You can handle yourself."

That was enough for him. Like 006 said, 001 knew that he could take care of the others should they try to do something. He stood up, waiting for one of his supposed friends to take the lead.

Movement from the corner of his eye brought his attention to his sister, her head ducking down under his gaze. "Ijin…Your panda," she extended her hands, waiting for something, "I can take care of him until you get back."

001 nearly blinked in surprise. He looked down at his hands and belatedly realized that he was still holding onto the stuffed animal. The mercenary still didn't understand why he was so attached to the childish thing, but what he did know was that he was grateful that his sister offered to take care of it.

He handed it over with a nod. "006 and 032 will keep you safe. Don't cause problems." She started; her meek demeanor was replaced by genuine surprise as she looked up at him.

Why was she looking at him like that? A glance around the room told him that his sister wasn't the only one who had been surprised, all of them stared at him as if he just admitted a deep dark secret, even 006 and 032 stared at him in the same demeanor.

001 looked back to his sister, an eyebrow raised in response to everything.

She blinked in surprise and took more than a few seconds to answer. "Oh. Right. You too, don't get in any trouble. Love you too."

He just grunted.

001 already had regrets by the time they made it out of the lobby. He hung back, the three smaller ones taking up the lead as the taller one walked right next to him. they already started stealing glances at him before they walked off the hospital property.

"I'm Seokju," the taller one, Seokju, introduced as he motioned for the others to take a turn. His name wasn't hard to remember, Seokju was the one that 001 had strangled when he first woke up. "We work together and we all go to school together." One by one, the others introduced themselves as they led him to wherever.

"001." That earned him looks from the others as they waited to cross the street. He ignored them in favor of looking up and down the street. There was barely any traffic, it was clear as it could be and it would be easy to avoid the cars. What were they waiting for?

He looked up and down the street, and after letting a truck pass, he stepped into the street.

"Ijin!"

"Dude!" hands grabbed at his shirt but it was easy to pull free from them, leaving the teenagers behind as they sputtered.

He didn't get what the big deal was. The street was mostly empty, it wasn't even two-way until he passed the median, it was simple. He waited in the empty lane until the car passed, then he got to the median. It was a small piece of cement where other pedestrians were waiting as they stared at him, some of them looked concerned while some looked annoyed.

He still didn't understand what was the big deal about crossing the street, everyone else was the ones being the idiots by waiting for the street to empty. Checking the street once more, he walked off the curb once more and crossed the street, that time was easier as there were no incoming vehicles. The strangers around him had started crossing by the time he made it to the other side.

By the time he turned around to look at the others, they were right there. None of them looked happy.

"What is wrong with you?!" The smallest, Yeongchan spat out, his hand clamping onto 001's arm to drag him away from the street. "You could have gotten hurt! You-you could have gotten hit by a car! You could have died!" Yeongchan stumbled over his words, his face red as 001 was subjected to his very unnecessary scolding. Yeongchan turned a deeper red once he realized that his shouting was bringing the attention of the public to him. "Ijin. Do not do that again." Yeongchan ended seriously, his expression mirroring the expression of the others around him.

001 stared at Yeongchans hand, his hand that had yet to let go of him. "You're overreacting." 001 said simply, not particularly caring at the way Yeongchan sputtered once more at his dismissal as he jerked his arm out of the boy's hold. The force he had used nearly caused the young man to stumble forward if it hadn't been for Hyeokjin's steadying hand. They were going to have a problem if Yeongchan, or if any of them for that matter, grabbed him like that again.

Yeongchan tried to say something further, but upon seeing the look on 001's face, he bit his tongue, resisting the urge to shirk back from the emotionless teenager who stared him down.

Hyeokjin noticed Yeongchan's reaction and tried to diffuse the situation. "Ijin," Hyeokjin started, his hand resting on 001's shoulder, "we're serious man. You can't be doing stuff like that. You can get in trouble and you can get hurt." Unlike Yeongchan, Hyeokjin caught onto his pointed look faster, his hand quickly left 001's shoulder as he raised his hands in defense. "Don't do that again man." 001 looked around the circle they had formed around him and nearly rolled his eyes when he realized that all of them shared the same sentiment.

001 still thought that they were overreacting. He would have been fine, the street was empty for the most part and unless he had gone blind, he would have noticed the oncoming cars. "Ok." That was all he offered and he did not care that his lackluster answer made them glower. Yeongchan looked the most upset and maybe if 001 were friends with them, he would have cared more.

Seokju heaved out a sigh, his hand pinched the bridge of his nose as he moved on. "Alright. Let's just keep on going. Ijin…actually, do you want us to call you 001?" Seokju asked as they started walking again. Again, the three smaller ones were walking in front of him and Seokju, though Seokju's question had the others half turning their heads to hear the answer.

001 didn't care what they called him, "I don't care." They could call him by name for all he cared, as long as they didn't start being dicks, they could call him whatever they wanted.

They exchanged looks. "Soooo…is that a yes?" Jaehyung dragged out, his eyebrows disappearing under his ridiculous red hair. He must have deciphered the look 001 gave him because he started to backtrack. "Right. I'll just call you Ijin. Since it's your name, and all…you know…" Jaehyung withered under 001's gaze and he broke off eye contact as he turned to the others in the group. "We're almost there. Just a few more minutes." Good. The faster the experience was over, the better.

They continued walking in silence. It must have gotten to be too much for them. "Hey, Ijin. I know you don't remember but one time, you fought off like 30 guys to help us out." 001 wasn't sure if Jaehyung was rambling or not, but he didn't offer anything. 30 men didn't sound too difficult as long as he had the right conditions, and based on the fact that he had won, 001 was going to go ahead and assume that he had been operating in the right conditions.

Jaehyung waited for his reaction and when he didn't he just kept on talking. "Yeah. but it's kinda funny, because you're deathly allergic to lychee. Well, it's not funny funny, but it's funny because you're so strong but a little fruit can kill you. It's like your Achilles heel, anyone just has to throw the fruit and you and then they win. You wouldn't have won if they had some lychee with them."

How was his deathly allergy to a fruit supposed to be funny? That didn't sound funny to him.

When 001 leveled an unamused look at Jaehyung instead of giving an answer, Hyeokjin tried to pick up the slack. "Anyways, do you have any questions? Maybe we can answer some of them."

"No." Even if he did, 001 wasn't going to ask them, people he didn't trust to give him truthful answers.

They faltered and exchanged looks.

Painfully, they tried to keep on going.

"Are you sure? Nothing that comes to mind?"

"No."

"What about school? Aren't you curious about school?"

"No."

"You're really popular at school, you know? People kept on asking your sister where you were, to the point where they even started asking us." to be frank, 001 had no idea what he was supposed to say to that. He didn't understand how he would be popular in a civilian setting. If he wasn't popular in a militaristic setting, he was sure he would be disliked the same if not more when surrounded by civilians.

He didn't offer an answer and just like that, they were steamrolling their way onto another topic.

"The men you work with really miss you too. So do Major Kang and his men. They visited you a lot when you were still asleep." That did nothing to clear up 001's confusion because again, he was not liked in a militaristic setting as well.

But who was Major Kang?

The name had come up more than once already and he had seen a contact in the phone that had Kang in the name. People told him that he was close to the Major, but yet, just like everything else, nothing came up when he tried to think of anything past the village.

Scowling to himself, 001 pulled the jacket tighter around him, the smell somewhat easing the frustration. It was cold, the people around him were nothing more than strangers to him and now he had more questions than he liked.

Seokju noticed him pulling the jacket around him. "Are you cold?"

"No." Annoyingly enough, that single question was enough to draw the attention of the others.

"You do hate the cold. I'm not surprised." Hyeokjin commented.

"Do you want my scarf?" Jaehyung offered up, already unwrapping the scarf that was around his neck.

"No." 001 didn't want any sort of debt to any of them.

Jaehyung scoffed. "Dude, stop saying no to everything. You hate the cold. Just take my scarf."

The dismissal of his words annoyed 001 more than it should have. "I said I'm not cold." 001 nearly snapped out, his mood on the edge of souring with the incessant need for conversation.

Jaehyung faltered, his hands slowly coming to a stop. "Right. Sorry." Jaehyung trailed off as he motioned ahead of them, his actions gaining nods of agreement to continue walking.

001 huffed to himself. None of them knew when to stop.

They continued walking in awkward silence, the three in the front exchanging glances that 001 hadn't missed. The only one that didn't steal glances towards him on the way was Seokju and 001 was sure it was because Seokju couldn't steal a glance when they were side by side. Soon, they were walking into a random building. Based on the confidence that everyone was walking into the building, it must have been a place that they frequented often.

"We usually play games up here." Jaehyung started as he unlocked the front door, and turned on the light, "We hung out more at a Pc café, but we figured that you would want to be somewhere quiet. It's pretty busy at this time, but if you want, we can go when it's not as busy."

They streamed into the room and 001 raised his eyebrow when he saw the set of tables and desktops in the middle of the room. The others spread out in the room, settling into doing their own stuff as they let 001 wander around the room.

How much money did they have to have a private room like this? He could tell that it was purely recreational, there was no sign of someone living within the area so that meant that someone had enough money where they could fund a side hobby to that extent.

001 walked around the room, his eyes being drawn to the little corner where there was a punching bag and weights. The setup was out of place compared to the rest of the room. While the rest of the room was set up with computers and shelves that were packed with food similar to the place 006 took him to, that was the only corner that had items for physical activity. He huffed.

He wanted to spar.

After a week straight of being cooped up in a hospital, 001 was more than ready to go, his head injury be damned. He didn't care that his head ached when he moved too fast or the headache that threatened to make his head burst when he exerted himself, 001 had excess energy that he both wanted and needed to burn.

The next time he saw 006, 001 was going to ask if there was anywhere they could spar. He would even take 032 at that point, at least he would have a challenge and 001 trusted the brothers to not take advantage of his injury in the spar.

"Ijin?"

He jumped. The hand resting on his shoulder retracted when 001 turned to look at the owner.

"You're zoning out again." Seokju leaned in closer to get a better look at 001's face, "you didn't answer we talked to you. Are you okay?"

001 took a step back from Seokju, leaving the teenager in the corner while it left him closer to the exit. "I'm fine." He didn't realize that they had been calling out to him and 001 didn't quite know how he felt about that.

He rarely let his guard down, especially when he was around strangers, who may have been his former friends, but strangers nonetheless. That was the third time he had zoned out within a week and each time, someone had gotten close enough to touch him without him noticing.

He needed to get it together. He couldn't let people keep on walking up to him without him noticing, it was going to bite him in the ass at one point and 001 already knows that someone is bound to get hurt if he got startled enough.

Seokju scrutinized him but when 001 glared back, he stopped. "Alright." Seokju took a large and deliberate step back, "Well, we were telling you that we're planning to take you to one more place before we take you back to the hospital. Is that okay?"

001 nodded. That was more than okay.

Up to that point, the outing had been rather pointless. Save for being scolded for crossing a street and startled once, the outing hadn't brought anything to fruition. The only thing he didn't understand was why he was mentally checking out. He wasn't remembering anything each time he did, all he had been doing was being so immersed in his thoughts, the outside faded away before he knew it.

The others left the room, Jaehyung waiting for him at the doorway so he could lock up the place. 001 went through the door and waited there at the top with the redhead while he locked the door.

As one might expect, Jaehyung noticed the way 001 was waiting up there with him, a confused look appeared on his face when 001 didn't move. "Ijin?"

001 jerked his head to the stairs, motioning for the redhead to go down first. He wasn't going to let anyone be behind him while going down the stairs.

"Oh," Jaehyung said awkwardly, "Okay. Let me just go…"Jaehyung went down the stairs, visibly rushing the process while 001 followed Jaehyung calmly.

He huffed. It wasn't an ego boost for people to be scared of him, but 001 would rather people be scared of him and leave him alone rather than people be comfortable around him and try to use that relationship to their advantage.

The sun started to go down, the reflective surfaces of the city reflecting the amber of the sky as the entire city was colored. His eyes strained to adjust to the color, a headache coming to the forefront of his mind as his head injury obnoxiously made itself known. If he had known where they were going, 001 would have gladly made them pick up the pace. The city was too bright, the artificial lighting worsened his headache into a migraine status and the constant traffic did nothing to help with that. He should have asked if 006 had his painkillers with him before he left.

He was being led away from the busy areas of the city, but by then, it was too late, his migraine had thoroughly fouled his mood at that point. It must have shown on his face because Seokju, who had been quietly walking next to him, started to give him more space.

The only thing that marginally helped his mood was the sight of a small toddler running full force into a glass door after he slipped away from his parents.

If it wasn't for the eardrum-bursting shrieks the little shit let out, 001 would have found it funny. The dumbass parents came running to attend to their idiot, 001 had to resist the urge to cover his ears as they passed. "Dumb fuck." And stupid fucking parents that let their kid run around like that. Every gasping sob felt like daggers to his head and that was reason enough for him to try and leave the area as soon as possible.

The others stared at him as if he grew a second head, no doubt, they had heard what he said, and unfortunately for 001, so had the little shits parents.

The father did not look happy. The older man drew himself up to his full height, as the mother tried to soothe the crying idiot. "Excuse me? That's my son." 001 could have laughed at the man's attempt to intimidate him. The father was taller than him, but 001 certainly was not scared of him, not after the upbringing he had.

001 didn't hesitate. "Your son just ran into a glass door, he's a dumb fuck. Keep a better eye on your kid."

Once again, a hand was set onto his arm and 001 was less than pleased to see that it was his supposed friends who were grabbing him, keeping him from leaving. "Ijin…" Hyeokjin said quietly, his expression portraying the teenager's desire for 001 to be quiet.

001 didn't care. He was in a foul mood and he already was not in the mood to be grabbed. "Let go of me." He jerked his arm away from Hyeokjin and the fact that the teenager did not let go initially only amplified his anger.

He was so not in the fucking mood for this.

The father was closer now, his attempt to intimidate 001 failed just as spectacularly as the last attempt. "You are such a disrespectful young man." The man scolded and it was truly a shame that 001 did not give a single shit.

That time, 001 used a bit more force to get Hyeokjin to let go, not breaking eye contact with the man as he spoke. "And you're a dumbass for letting your kid run around like that."

The man's face darkened. The little shit was still shrieking as the mother was more focused on glaring at 001 rather than soothing the little fire alarm. "Watch your tone son."

He was grabbed again and that time, they were trying to drag him away, but 001 held firm. "I'm not your son. Look at your kid, crying because you let him run into the door."

Was he instigating?

Yes.

Did he care?

No.

It was the dumbass father who had started that pissing contest and 001 would be damned before he let some old man intimidate him into submission.

"Ijin. Stop it." Seokju hissed. He must be the one who was trying to pull him away. Without looking, 001 grabbed onto Seokju's wrist and twisted until he was forced to let go. 001 paid no mind to the sharp gasp that came as a result of his actions.

"He's a child." The man said as if it was supposed to excuse their negligence.

001 had seen children die because they wandered away from their parents at the wrong time. It didn't have to be the wrong place, it just had to be the wrong time, and just like that, a precious child was dead.

Perhaps that was why 001 was so upset.

He had seen far too many children die from mere chance.

The man was a few feet away from him at that point, his presence did nothing to deter 001 from continuing the argument. "You're a shit parent. Both of you."

He was being grabbed again. 001 turned with a snarl, ready to go. "Ijin you have to stop!" The fact that it was Yeongchan who was holding onto him made him hold his tongue. Yeongchan was just as pitiful as 032 and even 001 felt bad when 032 was kicked without warning.

Swallowing his anger, 001 gritted out, "Let. Go." That was not to say that he wouldn't hit Yeongchan if he didn't let go. His patience still had limits.

The others were actively trying to diffuse the situation at that point, all of them were either trying to drag him away from the situation or were tapping him in an attempt to get his attention.

"Ijin."

"Be quiet!"

All they were doing was drawing more attention to him. The father was still trying to intimidate him into apologizing, the stupid kid was still screaming, his head started to pound and his friends attempted to physically drag him away. Those idiots didn't know how to be discreet and knowing his luck, somehow this episode was going to get back to Mad Dog and his men.

He needed to go.

"Keep a better eye on your kid." 001 tried to shake off the hands that were grabbing onto them after his departing words but none of them took the hint, they kept on scolding him.

"Ijin!" He twisted his arm out of their hold.

Yeongchan was the only one who held on. "Ijin you have to be quiet!"

"Ijin shut up!" 001 twisted his arm out of Yeongchans hold and the idiot didn't care as he grabbed 001 once more. That time, Yeongchan yanked him hard enough to nearly pull 001 off balance.

He snapped.

"Don't fucking touch me!" Yeongchan hit the ground, hard, but he was away. He finally had space to breathe, his migraine made his entire head throb. 001 didn't know if it was his temper that made the blood rush to his head or a symptom of his head injury but it felt gouging out his own eyes would be less painful.

001 walked past them as they crowded around their fallen friend. "Yeongchan, are you okay? Hey! Ijin! At least apologize you fuck!" He had no idea where he was going, but 001 knew that he had to get away from them at the very least.

He didn't know them and he didn't care about them enough to try and make amends. He would figure out the way back to the hospital himself without any of their help.

"Ijin!" 001 turned in time to see Jaehyung running up to him and without a second thought, 001 turned back around to continue his departure. Jaehyung ran until he was in front of him, his hands up as a barrier between the two of them to keep 001 from leaving. "Ijin what the fuck?"

001 had no reason to deal with them any longer. "Move." He had already reached the edge of his patience and by that point, 001 was sifting through the dregs to resist the urge to flatten the teenager at that moment.

Jaehyung was just as red as his hair at that point. "No! what the fuck man! Why did you push him like that?! He was trying to keep you out of trouble!"

"Move."

"Why would you ever do that! what the fuck is wrong with you -you would never hurt Yeongchan like this!"

"I said. Move." 001 repeated, his voice dipping into a growl as he took a step toward Jaehyung, however, his attempt to intimidate Jaehyung into moving failed.

"No!" Jaehyung snapped out, both of his hands fisting into the material of 001's shirt." We're going back! Now! Something is wrong for you to be acting like such a fucking dick and-!"

001 wrapped his hands around Jaehyung's collar and within seconds, the red-head was pinned up against the wall, his head banging against the wall. Jaehyung didn't get a chance to ask what was that for because when he opened his eyes, 001 was right there.

001 could feel the rage thrumming under his skin, his chest tight as he struggled to maintain some type of control over his breathing just so he wouldn't start screaming right then and there. Jaehyung grappled at his hands, his sweat-slickened hands finding no purchase on the hands that were lifting him and pinning him against the wall. "If you follow me," 001's voice was low and Jaehyung could hear a slight tremble in his voice, his control slipping as 001 spat out, "I'll break your fucking legs myself." His tone was enough for Jaehyung to know that 001 was not making an empty threat, he was making a promise that he would happily fulfill.

001 could see the fear seeping into Jaehyung's veins as 001 loomed over him, as the hands around his collar tightened, "Get the fuck out of here before I break your goddammed face." 001 pulled him away from the wall before he shoved him away, Jaehyung stumbled but as soon as he regained his balance, the redhead increased the distance between the two of them.

For once, 001 relished the way Jaehyung looked at him fearfully. At least then, they would leave him alone.

"You...you're not our Ijin..."The teenager said quietly and 001 almost wanted to snarl at him.

"I never said I was." 001 snapped out before leaving.

The entire fucking thing had been nothing more but a waste of his time.
