Driving into the hangar, Saphira held onto Optimus as he kept his holoform arms around her body. She felt very safe and sound right now, but she also did not know what to expect at the moment. She had a lot to say to Optimus, and she knew things won't be what he would want to hear. But they needed to be said. She observed his body language though he didn't really have much for her read from. Optimus kept his emotions hidden a lot of the time, and she could really only rely on the bond at the moment. Which he was hiding his anger from her, as she already knew based on what he had said before.

Optimus stopped after he drove through to the middle of hangar. Looking ahead, sitting on a table, was a piece of technology Saphira never had seen before. She was going to assume this was the ship part that Optimus was talking about. It was a round object with numerous connections that showed it had been ripped out of something that it was attached to. She didn't know how long ago though, but she did assume at least as far back as the Apollo mission.

"That's the part you were talking about?" Saphira asked, glancing at Optimus as the leader nodded affirmatively. She looked ahead as she saw Mearing and Lennox walking towards them. "You know, I think being angry about it is unnecessary." He looked at her in surprise. "That thing was not in US hands, so they probably did not know about it."

"I am afraid we do not know that," Optimus responded in a blunt, but gentle tone. "I can understand your reasoning, Saphira, but it looks different to us. To me. It seems like there are some things about transformer history on this planet is kept in the dark." She glanced away as she knew that she was doing that to him too, but only because her job allowed her to do things to help them in the future. "Do not be worried about it, Saphira. I only want to know why."

Saphira looked at Mearing and Lennox as they get closer to the table. She did not know how things were going to go today at all but she would get to see it at least. She could see Wheeljack speaking with Lennox briefly as he and Mearing got closer. She couldn't hear what was being said as the windows were closed. But she noticed his holoform disappear and the windows wind down enough for her hear what is being said.

"He's in a bad mood," Dino warned the two humans. "He's not talking to anybody today." She glanced out the window and Dino winked at her as the autobots were fully aware she was with Optimus.

Mearing seemed to be surprised as she looked at Optimus curiously. "What is this? The silent treatment?" The woman was obviously not buying it, and yet, Saphira heard Optimus growl gently, which meant he did not appreciate the woman's response.

"We've seen that, and this is not that," Ironhide responded, and Saphira raised an eyebrow. If this wasn't the silent treatment, what would it be called? "This is worse." The bot turned to Optimus and slammed his fist on the roof, making Saphira jump in surprise. "Prime! Make something of yourself!" In response, Optimus began to transform and Saphira gasped as he held onto her while he transformed. "He's pissed."

Saphira kept hold of Optimus's hand as he placed her on his shoulder once he transformed. Mearing glanced at Saphira in surprise before looking back at Optimus's optics as Prime slammed his fists down in frustration as he spoke to the woman. "You lied to us! Everything humans know of our planet we were told had been shared." He points to the engine part as Mearing. "So why was this found in human possession?!" At least Ironhide was right, Optimus is pissed.

Mearing frowned at Optimus's accusation. "We were in the dark on this also. It was 'Director Only' clearance at Sector Seven until now. It interests me that you think while we have given you what we know, you would be upset when we discover something else on this planet that has any connection to your world. I cannot imagine how you would be if we had just discovered the glasses if you were already here on this planet." Saphira rolled her eyes at little and Mearing looked at her curiously. "And when did you end up with Optimus?"

"He picked me up at the front of the hangar," Saphira responded, gesturing towards the entrance to the hangar. Mearing seemed unimpressed as she glanced at Saphira's bandaged arm. "My arm isn't that bad, these are just cuts from the glass. Besides, we do need to talk about it."

"We do indeed. However, there are some other things that need to be told now, which I think should have been said a long time ago." Mearing glanced back at her assistant with a stern expression. "The bag."

The woman, who was holding multiple bags, began to go through them and looked at Mearing in panicked confusion. "Which bag?"

Charlotte was immediately annoyed at her assistant. "Hermes Birkin! Green ostrich!" The woman ran over to Charlotte with the right bag and the woman rolled her eyes. "My god." She grabbed the bag from her assistant to grab out something from her bag. "This is a secret few men know. And fewer still remain alive." Saphira raised an eyebrow as she listened to the woman as she wondered what was about. "Allow me to please introduce to you…" The woman gestured towards a door and a few men walk in with prideful smiles on their faces as they look up at Optimus in amazement. "Two of NASA's founding mission directors, and astronaut, Dr Buzz Aldrin, one of the first two men to step foot on the Moon."

Hold up, wait what?!

Saphira frowned and turned to glance at Barricade. He seemed to be very surprised by the news, as he did not expect that someone who had been to the Moon would be brought here. And Saphira found it quite the odd coincidence, since she had literally been attacked by Laserbeak because of stuff she knew about the Moon. But maybe it would be a good thing, because maybe they can shed light on what was up there, though she was not sure.

Mearing shook hands with Aldrin with a polite smile. "Sir…" She then gestured up to the leader. "Optimus Prime."

The man looked at Optimus with pride in his face, as gazing upon Optimus seemed to be a first-time experience for him. "And from a fellow space traveller, it's a true honor."

Optimus smiled politely and softened his tone as he knew he was not speaking directly with Charlotte at this time. "The honor is mine."

"Our entire space race of the 1960's, it appears, was in response to an event." Saphira and Optimus looked at Mearing as she walked up to a catwalk and grabbed a remote to show images on a monitor screen to them. "An event where our technology at the time detected something crashing on the surface of the Moon." She frowned a little as Saphira listened to Mearing as this definitely was interesting all this was coming out now. "We made it our mission to get there first.

Aldrin nodded in agreement with the woman's explanation. "Our astronauts investigated a crashed alien ship. No survivors on board." Saphira doubted that was the case, but she said nothing. "We were sworn to secrecy by our Commander in Chief. A total of thirty-five people knew the real plan at NASA." Thirty-five people? That seemed suspicious to Saphira. "Soviets managed to land unmanned probes. Somehow, they must have picked up that fuel rod." The man gestured to the ship piece on the table.

"We believe the Russians deduced that the rod was a fissionable fuel assembly," Mearing explained, changing the images on the screen again to show some old clips of scientists researching the technology. "Believe they had it mastered, and tried to harness it in Chernobyl."

"So am I to guess that their experiments must have went wrong?" Saphira asked curiously as she listened to the woman. "Which would explain the state of the place." Mearing nodded affirmatively to the girl's question.

"We landed six missions in all," Aldrin continued politely, gazing up as the bots all listen with intrigue. "We took hundreds of photos and samples. We locked them away forever, and the Moon program was shut down."

"Well, did you search the crash vault?" Ironhide asked the men curiously as he listened politely.

The men glance at each other in surprise at Ironhide's question, which was a clear no from them. Saphira did wonder if these men had more information that they could not share. She definitely considered asking them soon, but she didn't want to be too suspicious either. And yet, she found it odd that all of this information was only coming out now. They had the information about the Moon, and the kept it. It was odd to Saphira.

"The ship's name was the Ark," Optimus said as he began to speak about the ship itself. "I was it escape Cybertron myself." He glanced at Saphira as he spoke about the past, and Saphira could see the pain in his optics, and she felt it too. She placed her hand on his neck gently to give him support. "It was carrying an autobot technology which would have won us the war. And it's captain."

"Who was it's captain?" Mearing asked curiously

"The great Sentinel Prime, the technology's inventor," Optimus responded as he walked closer to the catwalk. "He was the commander of the autobots before me." Saphira felt sad knowing that Sentinel used to be the autobot leader, and he could have potentially done something that could bring destruction to this world and the autobots. "It's imperative that I find it, before the decepticons learn of its location. Our autobot spacecraft has the ability to get us there." Saphira wasn't aware this ship was space worthy yet and she was happy, but also very unsure. "And you must pray it is in time."

"I'm sorry, but can I interrupt?" Barricade asked as he listened to Optimus. The leader turned to look at the former decepticon and nodded as he gave him permission to proceed. "I do not want to sound negative and all, Optimus, but I don't know why you think the decepticons don't know about the ship already. I have already told you that the decepticons have known about something on the Moon, now we know why. The Ark."

"Barricade does have a point, Optimus. He's stuck to his story the whole time, and has not changed it. It is interesting that we are now just getting this information." Ironhide narrowed his optics and placed his hands on his hips. "So much for all autobot information being shared to us from the humans. The Moon was another piece of information you conveniently left out, Mearing. Screw the Director Only bull crap!"

"Easy, Ironhide," Optimus ordered the autobot calmly and looked at Barricade. "I see what you mean, Barricade. And maybe I am a little out of line to believe the decepticons don't know what it is. But they have not clearly claimed the technology. We would know about it right now if we do." He glanced at Saphira curiously. "Is that not why you were attacked by Laserbeak earlier today?"

Saphira nodded. "Yes, but…the thing is, um, the human operative that they had, Jerry, came to me and told me a few things a couple days ago, Optimus. He had some things to say about the Moon, and why no one has not been back up since 1972, and that things are going down." She took a deep breath and looked at Mearing. "I am afraid I lost the proof that I had. Laserbeak destroyed it. But the pieces he me seemed to map out the plans for the decepticons." She looked back at Optimus with a worried expression. "We don't know that the decepticons have no taken the technology."

"Even if they did, they cannot use it," Optimus responded calmly. "Only Sentinel knows how to use the technology." Saphira widened her eyes in worry and Optimus could tell what she was going to say. "You are going to tell me that we shouldn't trust Sentinel. What makes you think he will stick with any word he might have given to Megatron? He isn't a fool."

"Neither are you, Optimus. I don't get why you can't see that Barricade and I are trying to stop a catastrophe." Saphira took a deep breath and gestured to her arm. "You are lucky that I only got an injured arm. What if the decepticons decide to do more, huh?" She grumbled a little and placed a hand on her head. "Can you let me down. I feel lightheaded, and I need to get off."

Optimus was immediately concerned and moved her onto the catwalk, where Saphira grabbed the railing as she steadied herself. "I guess this is a lot of information for you. I still think we need to reach the Ark, even if there is a risk." He glanced at Mearing who seemed to be contemplating. "It will be on me if Sentinel does have a plan with the decepticons."

"And you are willing to wait until danger presents itself?" Barricade scoffed in disbelief. "You know, Optimus, I have been here a lot longer than you. Soundwave was here in the sixties, and he was the one who started recruiting human spies. And I have had to deal with those humans too." Saphira looked at him in surprise. "I stopped dealing with human operatives ten years ago roughly, but I know for a fact that they are cutting off loose ends so their dirty secrets do not get back to here."

"And you think that Sentinel Prime will be our enemy?"

Barricade shrugged as he did not know the definitive answer. "Truthfully, I do not know if he would be now. On Cybertron, I think so. At least from what I understood. But I guess it depends on how crazy he seems to feel regarding Cybertron. If Megatron is crazy enough to do things like be a puppet to the Fallen in an attempt to rebuild Cybertron, you don't know what a Prime would do."

Optimus considered the thought from Barricade and he intakes deeply. "I will consider all possibilities, Barricade. If you and Saphira can provide evidence that there is anything that might prove trust issues with Sentinel, I will be happy to listen. But I know my own experiences with Sentinel. He was my mentor, and I know him."

"Maybe you don't know him as well as you think, Optimus." Optimus turned and looked at Saphira in surprise as she didn't feel as bad as before. "Sometimes people hide their true colors, even from those who they care about the most…and you never know, Sentinel might have done the same." He pressed his lips together and frowned. "Look, I don't want this to be bad either, Optimus. I would love to meet Sentinel, but a part of me is weary of meeting him. I hope you understand."

"We do understand, Saphira," Mearing said to the girl affirmatively. "You and Barricade have firm beliefs, and I inclined to listen to both of you. And also because one of you…" She points at Barricade as she spoke. "Was a decepticon, you have more of an idea of their plan."

"I do. Plus, I know for a fact that coming for the All Spark and the Fallen were covers for the real mission, and I still believe it involves Sentinel." He glanced at Optimus before intaking heavily. "But it seems like you are giving me permission to remain with Saphira."

"You, Bumblebee and the scrap bots will keep guard of Saphira while Optimus takes their ship to the Moon to retrieve Sentinel and the technology on board." She turned to Optimus with a confident expression. "We can have your ship ready to launch within an hour."

"I believe the sooner we get there, the better," Lennox said confidently. "I am all of optimism, so I am most certainly hoping this thing turns out just fine as well, Optimus. We already have had to face the decepticons more than once, and I would appreciate being able to avoid a fight."

"I could not agree more, Colonel Lennox," Optimus responded to the man in agreement. "I do not wish further harm to this planet. I know Megatron is still out there somewhere, and he will be found soon enough. But Sentinel could help us bring him down."

"I will make sure that ship is ready within an hour," Lennox said affirmatively, walking away to make the orders. He glanced at Mearing who was watching him closely. "With your permission, of course."

"You have my permission."

"I will go with you, Optimus," Ratchet said calmly as he stepped forward to the leader. "You might need a medic in case there are injuries that I must tend to on Sentinel. He likely would have impacted the Moon very hard, and could use repairs."

Optimus placed a hand on his shoulder with a smile, grateful for the medic's offer. "I would be very grateful for your help, old friend. Ironhide, I believe you and Wheeljack should check the ship and make sure it is ready within an hour."

"Understood, Optimus." Ironhide turned and placed his hand on Wheeljack's shoulder. "You heard the boss, Wheeljack. Let's get going."

Wheeljack stumbled as Ironhide pulled him roughly and the bot scoffed, hitting Ironhide's hand off his shoulder. "I am perfectly capable of walking on my own, Ironhide. You do not need to drag my feet all over the place like a doll."

Ironhide chuckled at the bot in amusement. "I was just making sure you are going to come with me. Don't be dragging your feet now, Wheeljack. Keep up with me and you will be fine."

Wheeljack huffed and rolled his optics in irritation at Ironhide. He knew that the large bot can be a nuisance at times, but he couldn't really deny the bot as he was given the order as well to oversee the ship. The wreckers have been keeping it in good condition since they were moved to it, so he doubted there would much work to do. But it was to ensure the engines will get them to the Moon and back really.

Optimus looked at Saphira and saw she was just watching the two bots leave with a worried expression. He leaned forward and she looked at him before blushing as his face was near hers. "I want you to know that I do trust you, Saphira. That is why I will take your concerns into consideration."

She smiled a little before looking away. "But it isn't enough. You need proof."

"I am sorry. I do not wish to hurt you over this. I want to believe you, I do. I have years over experience with Sentinel…and I am afraid that is more years than us." She felt tears in her eyes and she glanced at him briefly before she nodded as she understood. Optimus glanced at her arm and smiled a little. "I am glad you are severely injured. Feeling your panic earlier made me extremely worried. At least your skills as a driver has not faded."

"Yeah…and now I need a new car to drive around," Saphira said bluntly before she gasped a little. "Oh, um, Mearing…" The woman looked at Saphira from what she was doing. "Is there any further information about the Apollo mission?"

"You will have to ask those gentlemen down there." Mearing gestured to the men downstairs and Saphira glanced down. "But don't expect much, they told us everything." Saphira still needed to make sure, so she walked over to the stairs. "And may I remind you and Optimus that while I am aware you both have affection for each other, for some strange reason…" Saphira stopped and looked at the woman curiously. "Try to not show that too much in front of us."

Saphira smirked at her. "Jealous?" Optimus glanced at her in both surprise and amusement as Saphira's response to Mearing's order.

But the woman was not impressed as she frowned and tightened her jaw. "I am not joking, Saphira. I do not find attraction towards these autobots like you do. I am not jealous, nor would I ever be jealous. The next thing I know, you are going to tell me that you are pregnant."

Saphira shook her head. "I can assure you, I haven't gotten pregnant in the last year. We might not be compatible."

"As I would expect it to be." Mearing glanced at Optimus as he watched her curiously. "I don't understand your attraction to her either, Prime. It is not my business, just keep your affection away from the NEST base."

Barricade chuckled softly. "I will make sure they remain professional, Charlotte." The woman gave him a look of disbelief. "You already told me I'll be watching Saphira, so that makes sense." He walked around Optimus and stood beside him, putting himself between the leader and Saphira. "There we go." He looked at Optimus with an amused look. "Does this work?"

Optimus was amused and rolled his optics at him. "Thank you for assisting, Barricade. But I assure you, that will not be necessary." He glanced down as he saw the men who had been there to speak to him before had left. And Saphira was running through a door to catch up to them. "And we shall see if things are as you believe."

"I just don't want things to be too late, Optimus. Sometimes your flaw, I feel, is that you seem to underestimate the decepticons." Barricade could see that Optimus seemed surprised by that. "Yes, you do. But at the end of the day, the decepticons are the ones who make those decisions, and we can only respond to those decisions accordingly."

Prime nodded in agreement and glanced down as he wondered what Saphira would be able to ask the men. The fact that more news about the Moon did come out, even after both Saphira and Barricade told him the decepticons had known something was up there, seemed to indicate they weren't far from the truth. He wanted to believe them, but a part of his spark still trusted Sentinel. And he didn't want to believe that Sentinel was evil.

"Buzz Aldrin, wait!" Saphira shouted at the man as she ran towards them. He turned and looked at her in surprise. She came to a stop and caught her breath. "I don't want to hold you up, but I do need to know if you do know more about the Apollo program. I only ask so we can avoid disaster." The man glanced away from her before he kept walking. She could see he knew something, so she followed him. "Well, even if it is not about Apollo itself, but maybe the people NASA has connections to. The CEO of Hotchkiss Gould Investments has an interest with me." That got Aldrin's attention as he looked at her in surprise. "He spoke to me earlier this week, and indicated to me that something is not right. I know his company and NASA work together…"

"Do not trust that company, Saphira," The man said in a simple, yet stern tone. He glanced around so no one would hear him. "I know a little bit more, but understand I do not wish to be in a worse state than you." She understood so she didn't want to force him to tell her. "But you must understand, that the decepticons infiltrated that company. Don't trust the company, but if the decepticons are killing the operatives, it might not be so bad. And maybe this young CEO knows nothing, but I think he does."

"Thank you for telling me. I'll make sure to be weary of Dylan."

"Good. Make sure you keep this to yourself for now too." She nodded affirmatively, and the man smiled at her. "You had best return to Optimus."

"Thank you."

Saphira gave the man a polite wave and turned to return to Optimus. She wanted to spend a bit of time with him before he would head up into space. She really didn't know how she would feel about it. But she truthfully didn't want him to go. She felt it would be best to leave Sentinel up on the Moon, or at least don't revive him. That way the decepticons will never get what they want, and Saphira also knew that Optimus wouldn't get what he wanted. This felt like a no win situation in a way.
