Blonde locks cascade across golden tan skin and he walks through the deepened forest of green. It had been the evening, the sun was daring to disappear from the sky. He continued to trek through the forest, searching for any mushrooms that his cousin requested for their dinner that night.
He hoped that he wouldn't accidentally touch the poison ivy like he had done last time, thanks to his slip-up, Nagato had to spend the rest of their money so that he could get the proper medical treatment. When he finally found the mushrooms that he needed, he rushed home, he didn't want to be outside when the vampires do their monthly hunting.
He opened the door to their home, Nagato, His only cousin, and his only family left seemed to be prepping the table for them two to eat. Naruto placed the mushrooms down on the counter and he jumped when he noticed how hard Nagato had been glaring at him. "Did you take that route again even though I specifically told you not to?"
Naruto rubbed the back of his neck at the feeling of him being caught. "H-how did you know?" The sheepish smile he gave Nagato whenever he did something bad never seemed to change.
"You came back too early. The mushrooms that grow on the route you were supposed to be taking have grown scarce and they're harder to find" He crossed his arms and gave Naruto a disappointing look.
"Okay okay I did! But there were so many more mushrooms to pick from, plus, they were easier to find. I don't even know why you won't let me go on that stupid route anyways!" Naruto huffed and turned his nose up at Naruto.
"That's the route the princes and most of the other vampires take when they do all of their hunting. They plant all of those things there so the humans would be tempted to go onto that route and it would make it easier for them to prey on us." Naruto's face looked stunned. "You got lucky tonight. You could've been turned into one of those monsters. That's why we never go on that route!" Nagato hit him on the head, just enough to where it would hurt.
Naruto just rolled his eyes and rubbed his head. "If those bastards think that they can feed onto my blood then they have another thing comin'. I wouldn't dare let myself fall to those monsters."
Nagato sighed and grabbed the mushrooms Naruto collected, "Well, at least you collected enough to last us a month"
"Dear brother Sasuke, don't you think it's time you found someone to marry? Father and mother keep pestering me about it. There are so many remarkable females in our land yet you refuse all of them. Why is that brother?" Itachi entered his little brother's room. His suit made his slender form all the more attractive. Midnight black hair fell smoothly against pale skin. His hair matched perfectly with the onyx eyes he and his family seemed to all have.
He leaned against the door that seemed to be four times his height as he watched his brother put on his own suit, the Uchiha family crest stitched perfectly onto the back of it. "I don't wish to have this conversation with you again Itachi." Sasuke stoically replied to Itachi's question, not even bothering to look at him.
"Come now brother, You know that you'll never be able to possess the Sharingan unless you feed off the blood of your true love and each day your hunger for your soulmate will continue to grow until you finally feed into it. What about that Haruno girl from the neighboring land? She seems to like you a lot and our father and her father are acquaintances, so father is pushing you to marry her."
Sasuke just scoffed. "Like I would ever so much as lay a fingernail on such a stuck-up bitch. She only wants me for my status Itachi, and she's not my true love. The Sharingan doesn't work like that and you know it." Itachi gave Sasuke a sly smile.
"Maybe it's the people you're introduced to that seems to be the issue. Perhaps you'd enjoy the company of another man?" Sasuke whipped his head around in an instant. He used his speed to grab Itachi by the neck and forcefully push him against the wall.
"How dare you suggest such a thing." Sasuke seethed with anger as he glared into the dark eyes of his brother. It only made him angrier that Itachi had nothing but a smug look on his pale face.
"You know, your reaction to what I said only makes me want to confirm my suspicions even more" Itachi grabbed his brother's hand that was currently keeping him in a chokehold and he gripped it tightly. All of the bones in Sasuke's arm had started to crack and break like glass as he pulled Sasuke off of him.
Sasuke growled in pain and he started to regenerate his arm as he watched Itachi begin to walk out of his room. "Someday brother, you'll be stronger than you are. Until then you'll still be just a weak disgrace of the family."
His words echoed in his head like there was a giant tennis ball slamming against every inch of his skull. He didn't think theyre would ever be anyone in this world who he would want. Everyone was either too much of a pain to deal with or they only wanted him because he was the prince. He walked onto his balcony and he watched the setting sun. 'soon' he thought. 'I'ill find a way to obtain my Sharingan without the help of some useless lover'.
A few weeks later it came closer to the time where the vampires hunt the humans to feed on them. Naruto had been sent out again by Nagato to go find some sap from the trees in the forest to fix a table that they had accidentally broken while playing a game. The only problem is, the only trees that looked like they contained sap were on the route that Nagato forbade him to go on.
Naruto shrugged his shoulders. "It's not like the vampires come out today anyways" he proceeded to walk onto the path. Naruto instantly felt uneasy as he stepped onto the route, he felt like he was being watched and since it was nighttime he couldn't really see anything. He only had a candle that Nagato gave him to use as a light source.
The further that he walked into the forest the more he fell uncomfortable. He heard a bit of rustling and instantly turned to see what it was, pulling out the knife he had brought for protection. He sighed in relief has the noise was only a red fox running out of some bushes. He sighed of relief.
After a while he finally found a tree that looked perfect for collecting sap.
…
Sasuke continued walking down the path that he and the rest of his family used to hunt on their feeding days. He never liked to hunt with his family so he was walking alone. The only thing he hated about feeding is that the humans have gotten a custom to knowing when they hunted so it made it that much harder to find food.
As well as the fact that no one is typically in the forest at this time of night, he always wondered why they don't just take their food from the village.
As he continued to walk he could hear someone walking. 'Finally' he thought, 'food.'
He stepped behind a tree to hide from the sight of the human. His advanced eyes made it easy for him to catch sight of the human even in the dark forest. The human had been walking along a different path in the forest. It seemed to be contemplating something.
"It's not like the vampires come out today anyways" He watched as the human, which now is confirmed to be a male, walked onto the royals path.
He continued following the human around, not wanting to immediately attack his prey. The human already looked weary, getting spooked by a simple red fox.
He eventually stopped at a tree and got onto his knees. Sasuke found this to be the perfect time to attack but for some reason he hesitated and continued to watch the human.
Eventually the human must have noticed that there actually was someone watching him and it wasn't just his imagination because he stood up quickly and turned around quickly to stare into the 'void.'
Sasuke almost thought that the human had spotted him because he had been staring directly at him but he knew that he couldn't be seen, it was too dark for the human eye to notice him.
Although, when the human turned around Sasuke got a better look at his face. Sasuke felt his entire body freeze at the sight of the human. He was beautiful. It was as if an angel kissed him as a baby.
Sasuke felt uneasy and he felt like something had snapped inside of him. He wanted so badly to go up to the human and grab him by the neck and to bite him. It wasn't the normal hunger he felt, this was way more intense than anything he's ever felt before.
Sasuke stood there, frozen. His eyes felt as if they were burning and his entire body craved nothing but that human.
Eventually the human had turned back around and continued to collect the sap, placing the torch he was holding down. Sasuke couldn't contain himself anymore, he lunged at the human like he had no self control. He felt like he was a teenager again.
The human had been extremely surprised and tried to fight back but Sasuke binded the human to the ground. The look of surprise and panic the human gave him made everything in his body just want to melt and it felt like he was being electrocuted by every cell in his body.
He looked at the human's neck, the golden patch of skin looked so inviting, he couldn't hold himself back and he tried to drink from him but a huge blast of energy caused him to be thrown back off of the human. He hit an oak tree with extremely hard force.
He looked at the human, confused at what happened but the human seemed to be unconscious from the blast. Sasuke took one more look at the human before fleeing into the forest, too frightened at himself. He hasn't lost control of his body in so long.
…
Once he returned to the palace, he rushed into his room and slammed the door shut behind him. "There you are dear brother, I was starting to get worried-" Itachi halted his sentence when he took a look at his baby brother.
"W-what?!" Sasuke looked at him, wondering why he looked at him with such confusion. The confusion on Itachi's face soon turned into a smug smile.
"My my little brother. I see you've awakened your Sharingan"
