"Don't look for the shot, feel for the right moment to..." Atalanta stopped talking when Naruto released the grip on the arrow, and her eyes tracked the arrow zooming through the air at a very decent speed. She nodded when it pierced a duck's head while nailing it to a tree.

They were hunting duck.

It would seem that he had some experience with some archery, so she was just giving him tips about using archery to hunt. According to him, he had learned archery so that he could beat the best member of the archery clubs he faced in the field they were good at. Because of that his skills were already pretty good.

'... It's almost startling... he's listening to my advice, and he actually grasps it. The more confusing I am, the more he understands it.' Atalanta sprinted towards the duck in the distance, and plucked the arrow from it. Holding the duck in her hand, she sprinted back to Naruto and tossed the duck onto the pile of them.

"Here... can you show me that trick you do?"

"Yes, I can show you." Atalanta took her bow back, and she pulled out three arrows, holding them all against the tree. She looked around for a suitable target, her eyes even scanning the sky above the trees. Naruto watched her, before she got her target and aimed to the sky. She pulled back her arrows... and she waited, before she fired and they shot off faster than a bullet. "... when you draw a string, put your entire body into your draw."

*Thud, Thud, Thud, Thud, Thud, Thud*

6 ducks hit the ground around them, 3 ducks with arrows in their hearts, while 3 of the ducks had been fully pierced through the body. She gave a small cocky smirk as she collected all of the killed targets, before she added them to the pile they had made.

-Deep into the Night-

"That was delicious!"

"Herbs add an earthen flavor, some salt would have been pleasant." Atalanta didn't disagree. They had cooked up the ducks, and what didn't get eaten was stored away in an ice chest Naruto had brought with them. Their camp was surrounded by the plucked feathers, with the edible parts being tossed into the forest for the other animals to enjoy when they noticed them.

She leaned forward and rested her cheek on her hand.

She wondered how long she would be waiting until the war started, how much time she had to get to know her master and form plans.

"You're not going to eat more?" Naruto questioned her.

"I do not require it, my body is maintained by my connection to you, and my form is your magical energy." Atalanta still accepted cooked duck when he handed it to her though. He had extended more towards her. "Though eating for pleasure is not unheard of for a servant I theorize." Atalanta did smirk in agreement with the sentiment of eating being purely for pleasure.

There was a satisfaction to eating something you killed that left her emotionally satisfied with the meal. She looked up at the moon.

"I'm going to go take a bath in the river, I stink like smoke." Naruto laughed, standing up and walking off.

"Be safe Master."

"Kay."

Atalanta tried to sense if there was a servant nearby, since the war not starting didn't mean there would be no sabotage from the other team. She jumped up into the trees and silently followed Naruto. When he got to the river, she sat on a tree branch and casually kept her eye on his general direction. She didn't pay too much attention to him bathing, since secretely watching him would be rude of her. As her Master though, it would be foolish of her to risk his life by not keeping an eye on him when he was vulernable to attack.

"Oh?" Atalanta whispered when she noticed it.

Naruto was practicing.

She could see him holding an imaginary bow in his hand, using his strong imagination to picture his equipment and shots in his head. Even in her head she could see the boy that he was using, and how he was practicing his shots against imaginary targets.

She assumed he was a natural, but even when she wasn't looking, even with no equipment to use, he still trained hard to master the craft she was teaching him.

He was suitable as her master more so than before.

-Days Later-

"Master, I don't need this... I can just enter my spirit form when I'm in public."

"I think it would good on you though." Naruto had bought Atalanta a casual outfit that she could wear around town. They were going to go to Fuyuki, and he was going to get an apartment there so that he could learn Fuyuki's surroundings. He trusted Atalanta to be by his side, but she didn't exactly wear clothes that were easy to ignore.

Atalanta just sighed and nodded her head.

"Yes, they may look good on me... but as good as they would look, this is not practical." Atalanta couldn't understand it.

"Actually, it is practical I think."

"How?"

"I don't know, it just is." Naruto pushed the outfit into her arms. A white sailor uniform style top, with a green open jacket, a black skirt (she couldn't really do pants, nor did she like pants) and a red purse. Atalanta was forced to accept the clothes, regardless of her opinion on their use. Naruto turned around and huffed.

So she got changed with his back turned to her, and she looked at herself in the reflection on the TV after she had gotten changed.

"These clothes are not combat suitable... my objects are showing." Atalanta spoke of her tail that came out from the bottom of her skirt, and the cat ears on her head. She touched them as Naruto turned back around.

Double thumbs up.

"It will be fine, so lets go. We'll need to take a train to get there."

-On the Train-

"Master... I am not a fan of trains." Atalanta spoke.

The train was crammed like sardines, she was chest to chest with her master and their faces over each other's shoulders. It was hot and sweaty around her, with a ton of adults wearing stuffy clothes that made her own body heat cook her.

It was so stuffed she couldn't keep track of potential enemies.

They were only allowed to fight at night, but the fact was that you never knew when somebody would use foul play. She didn't doubt somebody would, because she knew she would play foul if that was needed for the win. The vibrations in her feet were unpleasant to her.

When they got off the train, she was relieved.

She grabbed Naruto by the arm and pulled him at her pace, so she could escape the metal box they had rode in for longer than her preference of no time.

"Anything we should be on the look out for?" Naruto asked Atalanta once they got to the streets. "... any identifying marks for servants or masters?" Naruto was more specific.

His servant nodded.

"Command Seals for a Master, and if I'm near a servant I should be able to sense them. They will be able to sense me too, though sensing an Assassin class servant would be difficult." Atalanta was going to have to keep her eyes peeled for anything at all that she thought suspicious. They were officially in enemy territory now.

"Two crepes please, choco banana for mine, and a pulled pork crepe." Naruto stopped by a crepe stand while Atalanta was looking around. She looked towards her master, and he walked back to her with two crepes in his hands. He handed one to her, and she sighed but accepted it all the same. "... if we can't fight during the day, then lets just not worry about it. We're here to get an apartment and scope out the area a little... we can afford to have a little fun." Naruto was grinning.

Atalanta just nodded and submitted to his will, she smiled for a moment, before biting into the snack her got her.

"Very well then." Atalanta would accept that, as suspicious and wary as she was, the fact was the war had not started yet. There were still servants on Team White that had yet to be summoned, so it wasn't like she had much to worry about. She was fast enough to grab her master and run if things came down to it. "So... where are you thinking of getting an apartment?" Atalanta asked Naruto with a raised eyebrow.

"... You're not going to like it."

-That Night-

"... It is suitable... but you are correct, I am not fond of this area." Atalanta saw prostitutes walking around, and people buying them. The entire area, despite being the middle of the night, was brightly lit up due to all the neon signs.

The Red-Light District.

As a woman who had taken an oath of chastity, this area was against her beliefs, but all things said it was an easy to defend area. It would be very hard for an enemy servant to hide from her in this area with all the bright lights.

"Suitable, do you have an idea?"

"I have a preference, but my preference is not suitable." Atalanta would rather just camp in a nearby forest, but that would be much harder to defend from surprise attacks.

"Hey Onee-chan, can I borrow a bandage, I cut my hand open."

She raised an eyebrow when Naruto approached a prostitute with a strange request, but she was surprised when the woman reached into her purse and pulled one out. Naruto grinned and applied the bandage to the top of his hand, covering up his command seals. He showed his hidden seals to Atalanta, who now understood his actions.

No words needed.

"Well, lets take a walk."

"Why?"

"Just a gut feeling... usually when I have a gut feeling, it means I should take a walk." Naruto rubbed the back of his head. He had no reason for wanting to continue their walk, other than the fact that he had a gut feeling he needed to take a walk.

"... maybe this walk will have us find an even more suitable place to stay." Atalanta really didn't want to be around whores and sexual deviants.

-Hours Later-

"... Where are we walking to?" Atalanta asked Naruto as he walked with her.

Just walked.

"Young man... can I ask for your assistance?"

'A Master!' Atalanta was on guard right away when she noticed a woman approach Naruto, and what was more was that she gave off a powerful feeling... and she had command spells on her hand. Atalanta looked around, and she couldn't sense a servant that was nearby. '... did she summon an Assassin... is she on Team White or Black?' Atalanta had a ton of questions.

The woman just walked towards Naruto.

"I apologize for interupting your date with the young miss, but you wouldn't happen know where I can find the church?"

"I have no clue, but we can look for it together if you want." Naruto offered, and Atalanta stayed on guard. She grabbed the back of Naruto's sleeve, and tried to non-verbally warn him that he was talking to an enemy.

His walk had gotten them directly into the arms of an enemy!

She couldn't risk pulling out her bow and fighting just yet either, not when the enemy had not attacked and she lacked knowledge of what servant the enemy had.

"That would be helpful... I was sent a message asking to come to the church in this area."

"Wow, that sounds important then! Somebody asking you to show up at a church, late at night, would totally sound like a trap to me! If you want... yes?" Naruto asked the woman, who placed a hand on her chin.

"A trap you say."

"I mean, most people don't want invite people to churches at night, but that might just be me being paranoid... churches are great places to pick a fight and hide a body in Japan, since so few people actually visit them!" Naruto laughed, since he had been in his fair share of fights at churches purely because people thought they could beat him up, and nobody would stop them there.

"A trap... an excellent place to hide a body... I see..."

"You okay?" Naruto asked as he leaned forward and looked up at the woman's face from a different angle. She looked down at him, before she nodded her head.

"Thank you young man."

She walked off.

"... She was nice." Naruto grinned at Atalanta, who was still looking around. She watched the woman leave, before she slowly nodded her head to Naruto.

Once the woman was gone, Atalanta spoke up.

"You are aware she was a Master... and you were veruy casual with her."

"The war hasn't started yet, and she just needed some help. Unless they attack us first, I don't consider any of them enemies yet. Anyway..." Naruto stretched. "... my gut feeling to take a walk ended, so lets go back now." Naruto had the feeling that he did what he needed to do. He didn't know WHAT he did.

"Your gut feeling is... gone..."

"Yep, it's gone... must mean I made the right choice in talking to her. I don't know why, but eventually I'm sure it will be a good thing I helped her." Naruto pat his gut a few times. Atalanta raised an eyebrow at him.

"... of that you're sure?"

"Absolutely, I'm sure that whatever it was I was meant to do, will benefit us in the future." Naruto grinned at Atalanta. She made a face that showed she didn't think highly of his logic. "... trust me, this isn't just some gut feeling. There is actually magic behind it." Naruto lifted his shirt up and showed his stomach.

A Magic Crest appeared on his stomach.

"Oh?"

"This is a Magic Crest that reads destiny and the spells in it sense danger, and then give you a gut feeling of a way to avoid the danger. It only works when the Magic Crest sees a pathway that, when I make the right choice, leads to a better outcome." Naruto called it taking a walk, but really what he was doing was walking around until he felt like he had made the right choice. Once his gut feeling was gone, usually it meant he had done something that would benefit him. "... It isn't perfect, because I still have to make the right choices... but my gut feelings at least tell me that I'm close to a choice that could save my life one day. The rest is up to me." Naruto explained.

Atalanta leaned down and stared at his stomach.

...

"Oh, I see... then yes, that is more comforting. Whoever her servant was, wasn't around... did you make the choice to steer her away from the church?" Atalanta asked Naruto.

He shrugged.

"I wasn't trying to manipulate her or anything... I was just speaking my mind. I don't trust mysterious letters that tell me to go to places with no witnesses. I just told her my feelings... and the gut feeling went away." Naruto only figured out AFTER he had done something that he was suppose to do, that he was suppose to do it. The crest didn't tell him anything about the specifics of what he was suppose to do.

"... Why didn't you explain it earlier?"

"Heheheh... I'm just used to following my gut feelings, I tend to forget there is a reason behind it until people question me enough. My Magic Crest also has a few spells from my father and mother packed into it besides it... but they are passive spells that are always active... like one of them just slowly fuses the magical energy of the planet into my body over time... and another one... this one here..." Naruto pointed to the center circle of his magical crest. "... this one apparently enhances the blood of my ancestors... apparently I'm related to a lot of really powerful ancestors... I don't know who they are though." Naruto laughed.

He didn't know his own family history at all.

He DID have a guess about one of his legendary ancestors now though after he thought about the reaction his blood felt towards seeing the arrow that pierced Tamamo no Mae, so he could guess she was an ancestor of his. If she was an ancestor, and his magic crest enhanced his blood connection to her... then him being a magic freak was partially explained.

"The pain of being an orphan."

"Yeah, it sucks... yeah, apparently the spiral is from my mother's clan, and the symbols around it are my father's personal stuff he added to it... so it is actually 2 magic crests fused into one. But yeah, when I get a gut feeling, it usually means there is a choice I can make that might save my life one day." Naruto summarized why for him, a gut feeling was something in his best interest to listen to.

His gut feelings were magically designed to increase his odds of survival in any situation.

-Later at a Hotel-

"Lancer... we're going to ignore the summons... a young man brought up a good point, that may have saved my life."

"Well, then that is your choice then Master." A blue suited man spoke as he spun a red spear behind his head. "... since this isn't a Grail War, and it's a Great Holy Grail War... the Grail itself is going to summon the neutral party, a Ruler class servant to oversea it... that letter you recieved was suspicious." Lancer added the pieces together, and they just didn't fit.

The Grail was going to summon a Ruler to watch over the war, so there was no need for a human to oversee it.

"Yes, I agree... I believe I nearly made a fatal mistake. I may owe that young man my life. I hope to be able to repay that debt one day."

"If you can't repay it, I would be happy to." Lancer grinned, before he sat down on the hotel bed. "... have you notices that all day, we can't sense any servants?" Lancer asked his Master.

"Oh?"

"It's like there is this huge blanket of magic energy over the city, and it is preventing me from sensing other servants. I traveled all over this city, but found nothing... the problem started in the afternoon." Lancer reported an issue that he had found.

If he couldn't sense any servants, when supposedly 9 in total had already been summoned, then he would guess this would be a grail war where nobody could sense each other. It would be a game where information was more important than ever.

"Ah... now that you mention it... even though we're standing next to each other, I can't sense your magic energy... all I can sense is my servant is standing next to me." She spoke when she noticed the feeling was off. She hadn't noticed it at first, but her servant was right.

Ever since this afternoon, she had lost the ability to sense other magus, magical locations, and she couldn't sense servants either.

-Somewhere Else-

"I can't... I can't sense anything..."

A woman, cloaked in black and purple and covered in blood, couldn't sense anything in the city of Fuyuki. She couldn't even sense where the leylines of the city where to help her find anything. It was just like a huge cloud of magical energy was hovering around the city, a mist that stopped her from being able to sense anything at all.

She was a servant.

If she didn't find something to stabilize her, she would disappear before the war even began. It was a problem, because the magical energy of as Great War was so much larger... though whatever was blanketing the city in magic was something that would be able to keep her stable for the entire war easily.

"Come... Come..."

Nothing.

Whoever was causing this source of magic had such dense magic, her cursed words couldn't even enter his body. The entire city was flooded by such a sense aura of raw mana, that was permeated the ground itself.

The ground.

"... I... I won't fade away here..." The servant woman grabbed a handful of dirt, the dirt that was super charged by the magical energy all across the city. She grabbed a handful of it and she put it in her mouth, before she swallowed the dirt with a bitter face.

Her magical energy was restored, not fully, but another handful of dirt was more than enough for her recover her remaining magical energy. She was able to stand up, and she looked at herself, full of energy once more.

"... Whoever this mana belongs to... I have to have them." She decided. She still couldn't sense where the mana was coming from, but she knew that if she searched, she would find them eventually. She couldn't sense servants anymore, and her ability to sense the magic of the leylines was gone as well.

She was operating blind, but as long as she ate materials that were flooded with mana from the source, she wouldn't disappear.

She had a target.

Chapter End!
Please Leave Me Lots of Nice Long Reviews, But No Flames Please!

Naruto being in Fuyuki means something.
Caster doesn't need a Master to maintain her form, she just needs to eat food... or dirt, either works.
Medusa, even with Shinji as Master, will be at her full power just by eating food that was bathed in Naruto's mana... so any food in the city of Fuyuki.
Saber, even with a Master like Shirou, can also now reach her full power just by consuming food.

The Downside: While Naruto is in Fuyuki, nobody can sense anything magical other than Naruto... who is not the best at sensing anything.

The Result: All Servants are at Full Power, but now there is more strategy involved because you can't just sense the enemy and go after them.
