But he wasn't alone, Leaf also had a lot to think about, she was mostly concerned about Ash, despite her saying he was playing the victim. Leaf stopped in Veilstone City, and hopped off her Magenium.
"I'm really worried for Ash." Leaf said, regretfully. "I want to apologise, but he has such a grudge against me."
Suddenly Paul appeared beside Leaf, with a devious plan.
"Sorry to disappoint you Leaf, but it seems that Ash is going back to his old ways." Paul said.
"What are you talking about?" Leaf asked.
"I heard Ash saying that he doesn't need you, that you're worthless and pathetic." Paul lied. "He also said that he's happy now without you. So long." Paul then left on his Electivire chuckling to himself.
Leaving behind Leaf, who was now very cross.
"That little Pokémon Trainer!" Leaf said, full of rage. "That's it! The next time I see him, I'm gonna shove him into a wall so hard that Ash's heart's gonna feel it! I'll show him! I'LL SHOW HIM!" And she hopped back on Magenium and Magenium started running with Leaf on her back, angry.
While Leaf was feeling furious and angry, Ash felt a lot better knowing that someone really did care about him. He happily passed by Bonnie through the Santalune Forest, as he was walking down the path to the Indigo Plateau to be really useful.
But he was a bit nervous, he didn't know whether to forgive Leaf or give May a chance to be his girlfriend. He needed time to think about it. As he rode on his Tauros to the Indigo Plateau, to see if he could talk to Charles Goodshow, about what to do.
Ash arrived at the Indigo Plateau and hopped off Tauros. Ash was waiting patiently for Charles Goodshow to arrive so he could ask him a question, but he never showed up. Ash was starting to get worried as Nando collected some Pokémon League fans and then left so he could take them to Lumiose City.
"Hmm, I wonder where Mr.Goodshow could be?" Ash asked. "Maybe he's coming back from a different stadium."
So Ash continued to wait, as he hummed a tune to himself.
Just as Ash was waiting, an Officer Jenny walked out of one of the bathrooms.
"Hello Ash." Officer Jenny greeted. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh, hello Officer Jenny." Ash said. "I was wondering where Charles Goodshow might be. Is he in his office?"
"Sorry Ash." Officer Jenny said. "He's at Professor Ivy's place for paperwork, but I'll let him know that you need to see him."
"Thank you Officer Jenny." Ash said.
"No problem Ash." Officer Jenny replied, and she walked back to her post.
Just as Ash waited for Charles Goodshow, there was Yoshi, coming in riding his Hippowdon with a load of Pokémon to take to the Pokémon Centre.
"Hello there Ash!" Yoshi called.
"Hello there Yoshi." Ash called back. "Where are you off to?"
"I'm heading to the Pokémon Centre in Viridian City, to drop off my Pokémon for their check-ups." Yoshi said.
"Oh I see." Ash said. "I wish I could help, but I'm waiting for Charles Goodshow."
"I understand." Yoshi said. "By the way, be careful if I were you. Leaf's looking for you and she's not happy."
"How come?" Ash asked.
"I don't know." Yoshi said. "But something's bothering her. I must go now, farewell." And Yoshi's Hippowdon set off, with a long load of Yoshi's Pokémon behind him.
"Good luck Ashy-boy." Koji said, as he got dragged behind Yoshi's Hippowdon.
Now Ash was really confused, if Leaf was cross, what was the cause of it and why would she be after Ash.
"That doesn't make any sense at all." Ash said.
"Pikachu."
Ash tried to think until.
"ASH KETCHUM THE POKÉMON TRAINER!" Leaf shouted.
There was Leaf and she didn't look very happy, as her Magenium stopped right beside Ash's Tauros.
"Um, hi Leaf." Ash said awkwardly.
"Don't you dare 'hi Leaf' me you little Sneasel!" Leaf snapped.
"What is wrong with you?" Ash asked.
"Pika?"
"No, you calling me pathetic and useless!" Leaf snapped. "Are you really a jerk or do you just not care?!"
"What are you talking about?" Ash asked. "I never called you those names, I've been busy all day."
"Do you really expect me to believe your lies?" Leaf asked.
Leaf then explained what Paul had told her while she was in Veilstone City.
"You really believe I'd say that?" Ash asked.
"But Paul told me!" Leaf shouted.
Ash thought Leaf was just going mad.
"Leaf, I don't know what you're talking about." Ash said. "I never said those things and I think you need help."
And with that, Ash hopped back on Tauros and the Mad Bull Pokémon raced away, leaving behind a ticked off Leaf.
"Oh no! Don't think you're getting out of this one!" Leaf shouted hopping on Magenium. "Get back here you lying Pokémon Trainer!"
Now the chase was on.
Now Ash was really scared, he had never seen Leaf like this before knowing that she'd try to hurt him.
"TAUROS GET US OUT OF HERE!" Ash shouted, as his Tauros sped up.
"DON'T LET THE PRAT GET AWAY MAGENIUM!" Leaf shouted, as Magenium started picking up speed.
He continued on until he knew he was safe, but how far would he have to go til Leaf had given up.
Ash's Tauros ran as fast as his legs could carry him, as he ran through Black Thorn City, across Mount Moon and over Square Top Mountain on Izabie Island. But Leaf was still right behind him.
"Great Pokémon Battles! I'm scared!" Ash screamed, as Tauros started running up Mount Tensai. "SOMEONE! ANYONE! PLEASE HELP ME!"
"PIKACHU!"
Ash was so scared he was about to cry.
Tauros trying his hardest to get Ash away from Leaf, her Magenium was catching up real quick.
"That's it, Magenium!" Leaf shouted, as Magenium continued running. "We're catching up! Soon Ash will pay for what he's said about me!"
Tauros was starting to get tired as they raced across the Valley of Steel, but he pressed on not wanting to let his Trainer down.
"It's no use!" Ash shouted. "We're done for!"
"PIKACHU!"
Suddenly Jessie, James and Meowth heard Ash's Pikachu's cry. They knew it sounded scared.
"I recognise that Pikachu cry anywhere!" Jessie said.
"It's gotta be Ash's Pikachu!" James cried.
"Ash! What's going on?" Meowth asked.
Jessie, James and Meowth could see Leaf chasing after Ash.
"JESSIE! JAMES! MEOWTH!" Ash screamed. "Help me! Please!"
"Oh my goodness!" Jessie cried. "Ash and Pikachu are in trouble!"
"Then we better do what we do best!" James shouted.
"Yeah, help out our friend!" Meowth snarled.
"Hang on Ash!" Jessie, James and Meowth shouted. "We got you!"
At that moment everything happened all at once.
"Serviper! Yanmega! It's saving Ash time!" Jessie cried.
"Carnivine! Cacnea! Let's go!" James shouted.
"Serviper and Yanmega! Push those crates over!" Jessie commanded, once the two appeared.
"You two as well Carnivine and Cacnea!" James ordered, as soon as they were released.
The four ran up to a bunch of crates and smashed into them. Magenium didn't have enough time to stop, and crashed into them. Leaf was under her Magenium, who was now knocked out unconscious, under a few crates.
Jessie, James and Meowth had Seviper, Yanmega, Carnivine and Cacnea push a bunch of crates into Leaf's Magenium's path and made her crash. Luckily no one was hurt, but Leaf had realised what she did. She looked out into the open, as the sight of Ash riding away on his Tauros, scared from his spine.
Leaf now didn't know what to do, as she waited for Virgil and the Pokémon Rescue Team. Ash on the other hand was now very, very terrified as he had Tauros rush somewhere that Leaf wouldn't find him.
He rushed all the way to the Pokémon Centre in Laverre City and hid in the Centre after returning Tauros. All he could do was just stare down at his feet, and watch the tears fall.
Just then Tracey, Valarie, Zoey and Candice came into the Pokémon Centre, they were surprised to see Ash.
"Wait, is that Ash in the corner?" Candice asked.
"Ash?" Tracey asked. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm hiding." Ash said meekly.
"You're hiding? From who?" Tracey asked. "Is everything okay?"
Soon Ash started to cry, Tracey and the three girls were concerned for their friend.
"From Leaf!" Ash sniffed, while crying. "She started chasing me and I got really scared, and I, I-" Ash started crying.
"Wait, Leaf chased you?!" Zoey gasped in disbelief.
Tracey and the three girls couldn't believe what Ash had said, they were shocked to believe that Leaf would chase Ash.
"Ash tell us what happened, from the beginning." Tracey said.
"Leaf said that Paul had been saying, untruthful things about me, and she started chasing me while I was on Tauros and she chased me on her Magenium, but then Jessie, James and Meowth had Serviper, Yanmega, Cacnea and Carnivine push a bunch of crates onto her, and then I ran away!" Ash weeped, as tears fell out like a waterfall.
"Oh deary me, that's awful!" Valarie gasped.
"Oh my goodness!" Tracey gasped. "I guess Trip was right about this."
Even Morrison, Tyson, Miette, Grace and Johanna were surprised.
"Oh that sounds like a really scary thing." Morrison shivered.
"You can say that again, hearing that story makes me get goosebumps." Tyson said.
"It makes my knees and my legs feel like they're about to fall off!" Miette shuddered, as her legs and knees shook.
"Oh, the poor kid." Grace said, feeling sympathy for Ash. "I feel very sorry for you."
"Oh yeah, the same here Ash." Johanna agreed. "No Trainer should ever go through that kind of drama, especially a Trainer like yourself."
While everyone kept Ash in comfort, Brock and Professor Oak were coming into the Pokémon Centre, from doing a joint lecture on Pokémon Medical care. Brock and Professor Oak were about to open the door, when Tracey and Valarie came out of the Pokémon Centre. They did not look too happy.
"Ah, Valarie, so good to see you again." Professor Oak said.
"I wish it was on better terms, Professor." Valarie said, sadly.
"Hello, Tracey." Brock said. "What's wrong?"
"It's Ash." Tracey said. "He's very scared."
"He's scared?" Brock asked. "Why? What happened?"
Tracey and Valerie explained everything that Ash had told them, as Professor Oak and Brock listened, their faces were scared and nervous.
"Oh dear, that's not like Leaf at all." Professor Oak said.
"Oh my, this isn't good." Brock said. "I even talked to Leaf about this."
"According to Ash, Paul had a part in this too." Tracey said. "He told Leaf that Ash said she was worthless and pathetic, along with a few other words."
"The way Ash told it to us, made my back feel freezing." Valerie shivered.
"Oh, jeez!" Brock said. "Where's Ash right now?"
"He's in the Pokémon Centre's Lobby." Tracey said. "Right in the corner."
"Zoey, Candice, Morrison, Tyson, Miette, Grace and Johanna are right now comforting him." Valerie said.
"Bring him to the lounge." Brock said. "I'll go have a talk with him, so Ash can tell us what happened."
"And I'll let the rest of his Pokémon out so they can comfort their trainer." Professor Oak said.
"All right Brock." Tracey said.
"You got it Professor." Valerie said.
After everything was set, Brock looked at Ash and he started to speak.
"Ash?" Brock asked. "How do you feel right now?"
"Really scared." Ash answered, as his Pokémon comforted him.
"I see." Brock said. "Tell us why do you feel this way? We know why, but we wanna hear it from you."
So Ash explained everything that happened. With Leaf chasing him down across the entire Pokémon World, along with Paul's stories that he told Leaf, and even something that Leaf said during the chase. Ash was very hesitant to say it, but all the Trainers and his Pokémon were there to support and comfort him. So Ash spoke up.
"She, she even said that she would tie me to an anchor, and she and Calem would throw me into the ocean, and leave me there to drown, as she would make me feel tortured." Ash said, very nervously.
"Ahem, excuse me? WHAT?!" Brock cried.
"SHE SAID WHAT?!" Professor Oak asked.
Brock and Professor Oak were shocked and couldn't believe what they had heard, even Tracey, Valerie, Zoey, Candice, Morrison, Tyson, Miette, Grace and Johanna were shocked about it.
"I can't believe this!" Zoey gasped.
"That's so awful!" Candice cried.
"She seriously said that to you!" Miette gasped.
"That's such a hurtful thing to say!" Morrison said.
"What would make her say that?" Tyson gasped.
"That's one of the most hurtful and cruel things someone could say to another!" Grace gasped.
"She's definitely not the Leaf I knew who competed in Pokémon Contests!" Johanna added.
"She really said that to you, Ash?!" Valerie cried, in shock. "That's so cruel!"
"Oh my goodness!" Tracey cried. "Why would she ever say that? That's terrible!"
"I really don't know." Ash cried, leaking tears, as his Pokémon all comforted him. "But she was very, very angry, and she wouldn't believe anything I told her. I said that Paul was lying and she shouldn't listen to him, but apparently, I'm still at fault."
Brock and Professor Oak were now feeling very sorry for Ash and they couldn't believe what Leaf was putting him through.
"Don't worry Ash." Brock said. "Me, Professor Oak, Tracey, Valerie, Zoey, Candice, Morrison, Tyson, Miette, Grace and Johanna will be right here to help you."
"And all of your Pokémon will be here to comfort you." Professor Oak said.
Suddenly coming from beside the Pokémon Centre, there in the distance was Goh on his Suicune, carrying Charles Goodshow and Delia onboard.
"Thank you for the ride Suicune." Goh said, thanking his Legendary Pokémon.
While Delia had come to check on her son, Charles Goodshow had come to speak to Ash, but for a different reason, and it wasn't a good one.
"Ash! Are you alright?!" Delia asked, worriedly when she saw how scared her son was.
"Ash!" Charles Goodshow said. "What's this I hear you and Leaf were racing across the Pokémon World at high speeds?"
"Mr.Goodshow, it wasn't Ash's fault." Tracey said. "It was Leaf's."
"Leaf?" Charles Goodshow asked.
"What did she do?" Delia asked.
"Yes Mr.Goodshow." Brock said. "Ash told us himself." And Brock started to explain what Ash had told them.
Charles Goodshow was very surprised.
Delia was instantly very worried, as she went over to her son and gave him a big hug.
"Oh Ash!" Delia cried, hugging him. "I'm so sorry this is happening to you!"
"Oh my!" Charles Goodshow gasped. "Ash, is this true?"
Ash didn't say anything, but Charles Goodshow already knew the answer.
"I see." Charles Goodshow said. "Well Ash, tomorrow, you and Leaf will meet at the Indigo Plateau, we will have a little meeting and see if we can somehow fix this. I'll be having words with Paul about his rumours and see what he has planning, if he did this to hurt you intentionally, he shall be punished. Brock, Professor Oak, Tracey, Valerie, Zoey, Candice, Morrison, Tyson, Miette, Grace and Johanna, all of you can take care of Ash at the moment, he deserves a good rest. He'll stay with you all, Maylene can sleep at Pallet Town."
"Yes Mr.Goodshow."
And that was that. Ash was going to stay at the Pokémon Centre in Laverre City for the night, and after explaining what he and Delia were gonna say to Paul, Charles Goodshow and Delia set off on Suicune's back with Goh to go and find him.
"All right Suicune, can you take us to Veilstone City please?" Goh asked. Suicune responded with a growl, before sprinting off in the direction of Veilstone.
Meanwhile in Veilstone City, Paul and Maylene were organising crates of Pokémon Food at the local shop while Reggie was away. Paul had Electivire bring some crates in and placed them on the shelves. Maylene then walked to him with her Lucario by her side.
"Um, beg pardon Paul." Maylene said. "But you had Electivire put these crates on the wrong shelf."
Paul looked at Maylene with confusion. "Excuse me?" Paul asked. "What are you talking about?"
"You had Electivire put the Pokémon Food for Fire-Types on the shelf that's for Dragon-Types." Maylene said, showing the fire symbol on the back of the crates.
Paul sighed as Electivire took the crates off the shelves, a little while later Paul had Ursaring and Nidoking put the Pokémon Food for Fire-Types on the top shelf, and Electivire put the Pokémon Food for Dragon-Types on the bottom shelf.
"Uh! I don't need to take advice from a girl like you, Maylene!" Paul said crossly. "I'm a revolutionary Pokémon Trainer!"
"Electivire!"
"Yes, I get that you're a rev- revo-" Maylene said, trying to pronounce the word. "Whatever you call it! You don't have to constantly say that Paul!"
"Revolutionary!" Paul shouted. "How hard is it to say that?"
Before Maylene could answer that question, there was Goh on Suicune's back and Delia and Charles Goodshow. Charles Goodshow and Delia hopped off of the Aurora Pokémon's back and onto the pavement. They both walked over to Paul and gave him some very stern words, and Paul was ashamed of his actions.
Meanwhile over at Crossgate Town, Conway was still complaining, as Jasmine and Janina passed him.
"Hello Conway." Jasmine said, as she and Janina passed on Steelix and Onix.
"Bugger off you two!" Conway said rudely.
Jasmine was offended by that rude comment.
"Jeez, I only said hello." Jasmine said.
"What's his problem Miss Jasmine?" Janina asked.
"Honestly I stopped asking that question years ago." Jasmine said.
It wasn't long after Jasmine and Janina left when Calem walked up to Conway with Cross and Damian behind him.
"Hello there Conway." Calem said.
"Who in Arceus' name are you?" Conway asked.
"You're new best friend." Calem said. "If you play your cards right of course."
"Cards?" Cross asked. "What kind of cards?"
"Um, I don't know." Damian said. "Maybe go Fish."
"Or maybe black jack." Cross said.
"Black jack?" Damian asked.
"Yeah, or the original name '21'."
"Who names a game with a number?" Damian asked.
"Oh pipe down you two." Calem said, impatiently. "Anyway Conny."
"Don't call me that!" Conway said crossly.
"I can help make your wildest dreams come true." Calem said.
"I'm listening."
Calem had decided to explain to Conway that he would steal all the other Trainers Pokémon to become the new World Coronation Series Champion, and would allow Conway to be the new Champion of the Sinnoh Region.
This made Conway really happy.
"Would you like that, eh?" Calem asked.
"Hmm, yes."
"Then shut up and listen!" Calem said. "I need you to capture every single Officer Jenny this world has in every region."
"Why can't you do it?" Conway asked. "This is your plan after all."
"Do you really wanna question me right now Conway?" Calem asked. "Because I have no hesitation to kill everyone you love."
"But I hate everyone." Conway said.
"So then why go against me?" Calem asked slyly. "After all, we both have something we want."
"Um, okay." Conway said. "So how many Officer Jennys you want me to capture?"
"ALL OF THEM!" Calem growled, before straightening himself. "Ahem, all of them."
"Um, all right, I guess." Conway said, nervously as he walked off.
"Goodbye Conny, and remember what I said." Calem said.
Conway was more confused, as Calem made arrangements for a meeting.
Cross' Incineroar then accidentally bumped into Damian's Rhyhorn.
"Ow, hey!" Damian said crossly. "Watch what you're doing!"
"It wasn't my fault." Cross said.
"Yes it was!" Damian said, before the two began arguing.
"Was not!"
"Was too!"
"Was not!"
"Was too!"
All the while Calem wondered why he'd been paired up with a pair of buffoons.
"You know, when they were handing out sidekicks, I was probably taking a nap and didn't notice I'd been grouped up with a pair of twits." Calem said, as he hopped back on Pyroar and headed off leaving Cross and Damian to argue.
"Was not!"
"Was too!"
"Was not!"
"Was too!"
"Was not!"
"Was too!"
Meanwhile at Lumiose City, Trip was waiting patiently at the Pokémon Centre with a kindergarten class. He was to take the kids all the way to the Pokémon Summer Camp, just as Serena came in riding her Rhyhorn with a load of Skiddo Milk. She looked very worried.
"Trip!" Serena called over. "Did you hear what happened to Ash?"
"I thought more like and Ash looked really, really scared." Trip said.
This made Serena even more worried.
"Ash was scared?" Serena asked. "Oh my! I wonder why he was scared?"
Just then, Cameron arrived on his Hydragein.
"I saw Ash, Brock, Professor Oak, Tracey, Valerie, Zoey, Candice, Morrison, Tyson, Miette, Grace and Johanna on my way here." Cameron explained. "I heard Ash saying something about Calem and Leaf. It didn't sound good at all."
Cameron explained what he heard, and this made Serena feel very scared now. She was surprised that Leaf would talk like that, especially about Ash.
"Oh my Arceus! Why would she even do that?" Serena asked. "Sure, I mean Ash may be cheeky, but I, not even I would do that."
"Hope he can keep himself safe." Cameron said.
Just then Chloe arrived on her Galarian Ponyta.
"From what I can guess Serena." Chloe said, hopping off her Pokémon. "Apparently Leaf believes that Ash is playing the victim from the break-up."
Then Clement arrived on his Luxray.
"I personally believe that Ash will be okay." Clement said. "As long as we show that we're here for him."
Then Sawyer came in on his Salamence.
"I hope Ash'll be okay, he's a role model to everyone." Sawyer said.
Then came Soledad with her Pidgeot by her side.
"Honestly all this talk about Ash's heartbreak is bad for my Contests." Soledad said.
Everyone looked at her awkwardly.
The Alola gang then walked up.
"I feel really sorry that Ash is going through this." Sophacles said. "No one should go through that drama."
"Don't worry Sophacles. Ash will get through this." Lana said. "He always does."
"But what should we do in the meantime?" Kiawe asked.
"I think it's best if we stay out of it." Lillie said.
"But why, Lillie?" Mallow asked.
"We shouldn't get ourselves into battles that aren't ours to fight. We need to let Ash and Leaf sort this out themselves." Lillie explained. "But I think we can be there for Ash, as he's been there for us when we were in need of help, and I think it's time we return the favour."
The other Trainers were quiet, they all knew Lillie was right, but they were all still worried about Ash, he was their friend, and they wanted to help him.
"When Ash is ready, will we all promise to be there to support him?" Lillie asked.
"Of course we will Lillie." Serena said.
All the Trainers cheered and their Pokémon called, they were a team for Ash.
