~ An Old Friend ~

In ancient times, on a faraway planet which was home to two main species of sentient life, the Beasts and the Men. The kings of the two races fought against each other in a grand battle of the ages to make an important decision.

It was the first time the two had met each other. The two parties and their envoys stayed for months, discussing treaties and indulging in pleasure. However, neither would agree to the terms of the other.

A Beast and a man came together to end the ongoing battle. The Beast offered its own energy and the Man offered his body. The Beast lost its mind and the Man lost his body. Through sacrifice on both parts a child was born. A child to end all wars. A child unlike any other.

Snow white skin, pale lavender eyes and abnormal horns that sprouted from his forehead. Truly, this child was an abomination. A creature that should never have existed.

~

It has been months since Naruto had been kicked out from his own home. His father had given him a small apartment with a stipend every month for necessities. Thankfully, his father had conceded to allowing him to visit his sister whenever he wanted.

However there were things that irked Naruto. Like the fact that his mother seemed to have almost stopped going on missions and was actually home for longer durations. But these didn't affect him directly, like others did.

Following suit, the villagers had started to ostracize him even more, insulting him and spitting on him every opportunity they got. The shinobi had joined in, considering that being disowned was one of the things that was looked down on the most in their profession. Even some of the rookies that he had some sort of camaraderie with had started looking at him like he was a pariah.

The only people left in the village who didn't discriminate against or were neutral towards him were Hiruzen, Jiraiya, Rin and Satsuki.

Other than that his life was going almost perfectly.

The war had been relatively passive up until now. The only thing of notice was that Kiri had backed out of the alliance after a civil war had started in it. Now, the war was between Konoha, and Kumo and Iwa.

For the last 10 months or so, he had been training nonstop. He woke every day at 5, started his physical conditioning training at 5:30, then continued it until 8:30. After physical training he split himself into five clones and had each do something different. Clone#1 would focus on strategy and theory, Clone#2 would practice taijutsu katas and would spare with clones of Jiraiya, Clone#3 would work on Fuinjutsu, Clone#4 would work on elemental ninjutsu, Clone#5 would work on non-elemental jutsu and the original Naruto would do all of that and more.

Naruto had nothing to do other than train. He barely met Satsuki because she couldn't meet him due to being the heir and her reputation was bad in her clan as it was, his Jiji was busy most of the time and he could only meet Rin when Kushina wasn't around, which was maybe an hour or two in the entire week. So, Naruto did the only thing he could. He trained.

He trained from day until night, he barely slept, ate only as much as he needed to and interacted with as little people as possible. His only source of daily interaction was with Jiraiya, who trained him. Jiraiya did his best to cheer up Naruto and stay around him as much as he could.

Naruto had reached such a high level of strength at ten years old that he could defeat most chunin. He focused more on his speed and fought like a true spy. He had always had talent in every aspect of being a ninja but his genius in Fuinjutsu shone through. At ten, he was already a level 5 Fuinjutsu master. He had learned many jutsu thanks to Jiraiya and even mastered a few. However, his greatest asset was his sensory ability.

The Uzumaki had a few techniques that only they themselves could perform. While the Naras had their shadow jutsus or the Yamanakas had their mind jutsu, the Uzumaki's had a special chakra quality which manifested in two forms. Some had only one while others had both the forms.

The first form was the Kongō Fūsa (Uzumaki Adamantine Sealing Chains). It manifested as powerful chains which were able to hold down even Bijū (Tailed Beasts) without much effort. The second manifestation was much rarer but also required much more training to be used in combat. The Kagura Shingan (Mind's Eye of the Divine Entertainment) was an ability which allowed the user to sense chakra signatures from dozens of kilometres away. However, if the ability was honed to an extent it would let the user sense the molding of the chakra and this would allow the user to predict the opponent's moves before they were finished. It was a truly terrifying ability. He could only use the Kagura Shingan and his range only extended to three kilometres at the time.

His kenjutsu was much better than before and his chakra reserves, chakra control and even his base physicality had improved drastically.

However, due to the amount of time he spent in training, he had become almost socially unadept. His tendency to not show emotions and always stay blank had increased dramatically. He still didn't have a goal or ambition, which bothered himself more than anyone else. It bothered him that he just aimlessly trained for a reason that he didn't know.

"Oi Naruto!"

He was snapped out of his thoughts when Jiraiya called out his name. They were currently on a mission, more specifically a mission to Tanzaku Gai.

Tanzaku Gai was the main settlement through which most of the trade routes connecting Iwa and Konoha ran through, which meant that it was a hotspot for enemy spies to gather information or set up a base.

From what they knew of the situation, Tanzaku Gai had a prominent Yakuza group which was being led by Iwa's shinobi. Their mission was to eliminate the entire group. This mission would mark Naruto's first B-rank mission. So far, Naruto had only gone on C-rank missions.

They were still a bit far from the town. If they continuously travelled till midnight, only then would they have a chance to reach Tanzaku Gai by midnight.

"What, Jiraiya-sensei?" Naruto asked, his tone as bland as ever.

"Complete the exercise I gave ya, gaki! It's vital to learning the Rasengan."

Naruto hadn't wanted to learn the Rasengan. It was a jutsu created by his father and he didn't want to be cast in his father's shadow. But he had accepted the offer after Jiraiya had persuaded him. Jiraiya had told him that the Rasengan was considered the peak of chakra shape manipulation but that it actually wasn't.

According to Jiraiya, the Rasengan was inspired by the 'Bijūdama (Tailed Beast Bomb)', something only a Bijū (Tailed Beast) could do. His father tried to replicate it for three years, but ultimately failed in doing so. The result of the failure was the Rasengan. Originally, the Rasengan was supposed to be shot, not shoved into someone. Once Jiraiya had told him this, he had vowed to complete it before his father. To surpass his father by being able to shoot the Rasengan.

The training to learn the Rasengan consisted of three principles. Rotation, power and containment. All three had a unique training that needed to be completed. He had completed the first step in 5 days, which was apparently supposed to be fast for someone his age but it was still too slow for Naruto's taste. Picking up the rubber balloon, he read the note Jiraiya had given him.

/

1.Rotation - the user learns to spin their chakra in multiple directions at once. To help in this process, a water balloon is provided which must be burst in order to complete the training.

2.Power - the user must increase the volume and density of chakra they output. To help in this process, a rubber ballon is given and the user must burst it as well.

3.Containment - the user must combine the first two steps into a contained sphere.

/

He took the rubber ball in his hand and started rotating his chakra in multiple directions. As soon as he reached the same amount of rotation he had yesterday, he started increasing the power output. However, as soon as he increased the power, the rotation started to slow. Immediately he stopped trying to burst the balloon. The problem was that the increased output made it harder to control the chakra that he was producing. Slightly disheartened at his subpar performance, he tried it again and failed. Then he tried again and failed again. He continued the cycle. Again and again and again.

On his umpteenth try, he heard a booming laughter in the back of his head.

'This is the best entertainment I've had in years! By the Sage, you humans never cease to stop amusing me! You've been trying to pull off a rip-off of my attack for almost a week and the closest you've got is this. Ahh, I'd almost forgotten what it was like to laugh.'

Naruto, on his part, only felt annoyed at the fox prodding the confines of his mind.

'What happened? Feeling angry?Helpless?Despair? I've gotta say it's hard with you people. You're capable of feeling so many emotions at a time, guessing one of them is like having to choose from an endless roster.'

Naruto grew even more annoyed. If there was one thing he hated more than his current dilemma, it was the fox. It kept on chatting with him in his mind. And even though he didn't want to talk, the fox ended up making him speak sooner or later.

'Shut up, you dumb fox!'

'Ho! So he does have a voice! I guess you only open it for useless insults. Much like yourself.'

'Stop talking, you useless fox. You aren't helping!'

Naruto felt a chill travel down his spine, as a long reverberating growl echoed in his mind like warning bells.

'Don't forget who you're talking to, insolent brat!'

At that point, Naruto decided to simply ignore the fox. It was a waste of time and it was taking a toll on his psyche. Blocking out the thoughts, he focused on the task at hand. He continued working on the second stage of the training. However, as he was about to continue, he felt a small tug in his mind.

There was an enemy in the passive range of his sensory ability. And his passive range only extended up to a few hundred metres.

"Jiraiya-sensei, an enemy's coming here at rapid speeds!" Naruto shouted, letting his unease shine through. Jiraiya's eyes widened as he extracted a kunai from his pouch and took a battle stance.

"Where?" Jiraiya asked.

Quickly as he could, Naruto activated his sensory ability which he'd inherited from the Uzumaki.

'Kagura Shingan (Mind's Eye of the Endless Entertainment)'

As his range increased, he felt two chakra signatures approaching. One was closer than the other, the closer one had a large reserve - probably a jounin - but he also had something that Naruto had only seen in himself. A malevolent source of chakra emanating from the source. Another Jinchuriki.

"One is approaching from Northwest of you while a second one is approaching exactly ahead of me. Yours is significantly weaker, probably a chunin while the one approaching me is a jounin-level jinchuriki." Naruto explained, and Jiraiya's eyes widened.

Jinchuriki were the most highly valued assets of a village. To send them to another nation during war for spying purposes could be considered as a declaration of battle. However, Konoha wasn't in any condition to fight Iwa. Minato was stronger than the Raikage and Tsuchikage but even his strength paled in comparison to that of a perfect Jinchuriki's. And Kumo and Iwa had two.

"Naruto, stall the Jinchuriki for a few minutes! I'll quickly finish up the other one!" Jiraiya ordered Naruto, as Naruto nodded.

Suddenly, a figure in red came through and Jiraiya instantly recognised the person. It was Yoton No Roshi (Roshi of the Lava Release) from Iwa, the Yonbi Jinchuriki.

Rōshi had red hair, a moustache and a beard which tapered off to a point. He was wearing a large headpiece consisting of a three pointed crown-like ridge, bearing both his Iwagakure forehead protector, a ring, and a prominent black piece of armour running across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose. He wore a long-sleeved magenta kimono shirt and pants, with a mesh-armour shirt and fitted black suit underneath, along with calf-length sandals. Around his waist he wore a brown sash that held a brown armour-like breast plate with a pouch in the front, a brown back plate on the back that is connected to the front with mesh armour and armoured lapels falling to the side.

Faster than Naruto had seen anyone do, Roshi flashed through multiple handsigns and took in a deep intake of air. Naruto wondered if he was about to use a fire jutsu. His Kagura Shingan wasn't strong enough to detect the molding of the chakra yet. However, instead of shooting fire, the man shot small globs of... Lava!

Quickly, both Jiraiya and Naruto dodged the incoming projectiles. Then another person came onto the scene. The person looked like a standard Iwa chunin.

"Remember the plan Naruto! Keep him engaged for a while. Make sure to try and avoid close combat!"

Naruto simply nodded to Jiraiya's orders. He quickly analysed the battlefield, the place had no terrains and even had a small reservoir of water. However, before Naruto could even hope to create some distance between his opponent and himself, he was ambushed by the red haired man. Roshi blitzed Naruto, attacking him viciously with an axe kick.

Naruto's eyes widened as he wasn't able to keep up with the Jinchuriki's speed. Well, one of his eyes wasn't.

Naruto had discovered that his left eye was able to track the moves of his opponents however fast they may have been. Therefore he had learned to fight with one eye closed, using his Kagura Shingan and his other eye. To implement this, he quickly dodged and activated a seal he had set up beforehand on his eyelid. Instantly, he went blind in his right eye.

"Not bad, kid" The aged Jinchuriki commented, before attacking once more. This time Roshi amped his speeds, making it so that even though Naruto could see him coming, he wouldn't be able to dodge. And if he tried to block, his arm would receive severe damage from the blow.

Naruto didn't panic, because the moment he lost his composure, he would lose the battle. Not that he was winning currently. Holding both his hands above him, he summoned his sword.

The sword that he had been gifted to him appeared in his hands, blocking the blow with extreme effort on Naruto's part. He quickly unsheathed the sword, and settled into his battle stance. The sword was shining beautifully in the daylight, not a single imperfection visible despite being passed down through several generations of Uzumaki.

This time Naruto initiated the offense, slashing, parrying, dodging and stabbing with his Chokuto, trying his best to pierce the defence of the Iwa Shinobi. Seeing that his efforts were being wasted, he stored his sword into the seal between an attack.

Using the element of surprise, he created two clones. Clone#1 grabbed onto his arm, trying to twist it but ultimately failing. However, the action served as a distraction as Clone#2 quickly launched a jab fuelled by chakra at Roshi's face, missing entirely as the ninja dodged it. Roshi reacted as expected, punching the clone destroying it before turning his attention towards the original.

He found that it wasn't possible because of the cold steel resting on his neck. Roshi just chuckled at the action.

"You know, seeing how you fight, I'd be willing to bet you would've grown up to be a splendid Shinobi one day. It's a shame that it won't come to pass."

"What do you mean-"

Naruto was suddenly interrupted as another Roshi erupted from the ground beneath Naruto's feet. Naruto instantly reacted, stepping back before driving his sword into the new Roshi's skull. It was then that he realised his mistake, and deeply regretted it as well.

Roshi turned around and grabbed Naruto by the neck, lifting him into the air like a ragdoll. Even though Naruto struggled there was nothing he could do. As he felt the air being choked out of him, he tried to escape but it was futile. He could feel the sensation of burning on his neck, where Roshi had wrapped his hand around. If he didn't die from the choking, he would die from his neck becoming ash.

He couldn't die.

A clone erupted from below Roshi, with a sword aimed at Roshi. In a moment of desperation, Roshi dropped Naruto and jumped back. Almost instantly he growled, showcasing his temper.

"You ain't escaping kid" Roshi growled out, his voice hoarse. As he went to attack once again, one of the Narutos came forward and made two handsigns, and inhaled air.

'Kaaton : Gōkakyū no Jutsu (Fire Release : Great Fireball Technique)'

As a large fireball erupted from the mouth of the youngster, it engulfed Roshi, bathing him in flames.

'That was too easy. Did he substitute? Or was he a clone?'

Roshi walked out of the shower of flames, unharmed and undeterred, and destroyed the clone utilising the jutsu. Frozen in shock, that moment of weakness was all that Roshi needed to once again attack Naruto. As he struck, his arm started glowing red with flames. Then he attacked.

A squelching sound was heard as his hand went through Naruto's chest, spilling blood. As Roshi smirked, so did Naruto.

"Boom!"

Was all that was said as Naruto exploded, managing to do some damage to Roshi at last.

The real Naruto had used the fire jutsu as a distraction and gotten away, leaving behind a clone in his place. And as soon as Roshi had attacked, he'd used the Bunshin Daibakuha (Clone Great Explosion) in order to land some damage.

"You continue to impress me kid!" Roshi said as he rushed towards Naruto at neck breaking speeds, readying his fist to punch Naruto. Naruto quickly made a hand seal and disappeared into a plume of smoke using a quick Shunshin (Body Flicker).

As Roshi's fist passe through smoke, he let out an irritated grunt. He flashed through hand seals and inhaled a large amount of air, and Naruto jumped away to a nearby reservoir of water and started running through hand seals as well.

'Katon : Goryuka no Jutsu (Fire Release : Great Dragon Fire Technique)'

As the dragon-shaped bullet of fire was birthed out of Roshi's mouth and started heading towards Naruto, Naruto had finished preparations for his own jutsu. Completing the hand seal sequence, he slammed his hands onto the earthen floor.

"Suiton: Suijinheki (Water Release : Water Formation Wall)" Naruto screamed out as a wall made of pure water emerged from the source of water near him, neutralizing the fire jutsu that had been shot at him.

"Nice job Naruto! Now hang back and provide support if I ask!" Jiraiya said as he landed besides Naruto, his kunai stained with blood.

"Hai sensei!"

Naruto simply watched as the two great Shinobi exchanged blows and dialogues.

"How have you been, Roshi?" Jiraiya asked, dodging blows and throwing a jab at Roshi.

"Been fine! I've been waiting for the next installment you know!" Roshi said, grabbing Jiraiya's outstretched arm, trying to land a blow as Jiraiya broke out of his grip and socked him on the face.

"I released it a while ago. Probably isn't going to come in Iwa any time soon!" Jiraiya grinned, however it was wiped as soon as Roshi landed his counter attack.

"I'll remember to buy one before going back" Both Shinobi grinned at each other, before retreating back.

"Ya know, that boy of yours is really something!"

"He is, isn't he!"

"Truly. Too bad I have to kill him!"

Jiraiya's grin dropped as his face adopted a serious look. Roshi's grin however, stayed constant as he spoke.

"You know I can't let that happen!"

"Oh we'll see about that, won't we!"

Suddenly, four clones spawned from mid around Naruto, surrounding him in all directions.

"Naruto-"

"Oh no you don't!"

Jiraiya was grabbed by Roshi, as he escaped and tried to evade Roshi. Roshi though was no normal ninja. His unique taijutsu made it almost impossible to avoid him once you engaged him in close range combat. Jiraiya tried in futility, to reach Naruto but wasn't able to.

'Doton : Doryūheki (Earth release : Earth Wall)'

Four walls of pure earth erupted around Naruto trapping him. These weren't normal Earth walls but rather ones that were too tall to escape and he couldn't climb the walls either.

Naruto didn't know what he was feeling as he saw Roshi on the top of the wall, making handsigns faster than he could follow. But he knew soon enough.

'Yoton : Daifunka (Lava Release : Great Eruption)'

A large stream of lava escaped Roshi's mouth and descended down onto Naruto's prone form. That was when he recognised it. The emotion that he was feeling.

Fear. Pure, unadulterated fear of death. He couldn't die right now. There was simply too much left to achieve.

'I don't want to die!' Naruto thought as he looked at the wave of lava descending upon him.

'Then don't ' Came a voice from his mind.

'What do you mean? It's not like I'm controlling the Lava am I?!' Naruto shouted, irritated by the fox's behaviour.

'Tell you what, you let me control you for a few minutes and I'll consider your debt paid.' Kyuubi said, its mouth stretched into a smirk.

'How do I know you won't hurt Jiraiya-sensei? Or strand me in the middle of nowhere?' Naruto asked, suspicious of the fox's offer.

'And how would that benefit me? If you're stranded, so am I. And if you die, so do I. I'll even agree to not harm you precious sensei. What do you say?'

'And how would that benefit you?'

'Do I need to make it obvious? That monkey inside the red-haired human doesn't know how to greet his brother. I just want to teach him some manners! You needn't worry about anything else. I'm a fox of my word.' Kyuubi said, his eyes carrying an inhumane glint.

Naruto hesitantly nodded, still not convinced. But it wasn't like he really had a choice in the matter.

Closing his eyes, he felt something horrid run through his veins. It was like liquid fire was being pumped in his entire body. He could feel the cacophony of voices whispering in his head, telling him to just kill something. He could feel his muscles aching, growing, adapting, to the feeling of the chakra. He could feel malice and rage overtake his thoughts as more of the Kyuubi's chakra was pumped into him.

Just then, his vision blacked out and he saw no more.

~

"NARUTO!!" Jiraiya screamed, as he saw the clone of Roshi's douse lava into the chamber made by the earth walls.

"He would've become too strong if he lived out his life completely. Especially during war time. I'm sorry Jiraiya, but this is what happens in war. I'm sure he isn't the first apprentice you've lost due to a war." Roshi said, his tone slightly sympathetic.

"He won't die because of that you fool! But to escape, he'll have to use its chakra!" Jiraiya screamed at Roshi. If Naruto used the Kyuubi's chakra, his body would face the consequences of using foul chakra like the Kyuubi's. And the damage couldn't be healed by him, it would need a medical ninja to heal it.

"What are you-" Roshi's question was interrupted as a foul chakra started emitting from the earth wall chamber. Both, Jiraiya and Roshi froze, fear coursing through them, something Shinobi of their calibre rarely felt.

Before either of them could react, a figure broke past the earth wall Roshi had built and rushed towards their direction. Before Roshi had a chance to react, the figure - Naruto - cocked back their fist and then tried to punch Roshi. As Naruto's fist connected with Roshi's face, his jaw was snapped like a toothpick and he was sent flying into the forest behind him.

"Naruto, what ar-"

"Shut up, old man!" Naruto growled out. Naruto was covered in red, bubbling chakra that surrounded him. His teeth were longer and sharper and his nails were like that of an Inuzuka's. There were fox ears and a single tail made out of the red chakra that seemed to increase his animalistic appearance. It was then that the man recognised that it wasn't Naruto that was talking. It was the Kyuubi.

Before Jiraiya could respond, Roshi blitzed Naruto, punching his cheek. Roshi's eyes widened as Naruto's head didn't move even a single inch. Roshi froze, looking on in fear as Naruto's face began twisting in a maniacal grin.

Naruto grabbed Roshi's arm, twisted it cruelly and then tossed it aside. Roshi had no time to react as the blonde boy started punching his face, damaging his already broken jaw. Before Roshi could do anything, Naruto grabbed him by the beard and smashed his face on the floor, making blood spill from the area of the injury. Naruto then threw him in the air, punching Roshi's gut hard enough to send him flying but before Roshi could steady himself, in an impressive burst of speed, Naruto appeared behind Roshi, holding onto Roshi's body and smashing it into the ground repeatedly like a ragdoll.

Naruto grabbed Roshi by the throat using his left hand and waved him around in the air as if testing if he would move again.

"It's time for a chat you shitty monkey!" Kurama said as he caught Roshi's face in a vice grip and started searching for the Yonbi in Roshi's mindscape.

~

Kurama let out a satisfied huff at invading Roshi's mindscape and finding his ape-like brother. Son Goku let out a derisive snort at the Fox's behavior.

"How's being someone's pet treating you, Kurama?" Son said, looking at the fox who was larger than him.

However, all Kurama did was let out a boisterous laugh at Son's comment. Son was thinking that maybe the fox had finally gone insane.

"I see your sense of humour is still intact after becoming a slave to those hairless monkeys. How does that feel by the way? To throw away the gift that the old man gave you, and give it to a filthy human!" Kurama asked, his tone changing from humourous to furious as he continued speaking.

"Tch. What do you know? You abandoned us when that damned Senju came to capture us!" Son screamed viciously.

"What're you talking about? He was stronger than me."

"Don't kid with me Kurama! I'm not like our brothers and sisters! You could've crushed him if you wanted to. You talk about the gift that was given to me but what about your own? Why didn't you use that when fighting him? I'll tell you why, because it's a part of another one of your schemes. When will you understand that Father was becoming paranoid. He was scared for the future that his sons would bring! He wasn't in his right mind when he warned us about them!" Son shouted, his desperation clear in his voice.

"Don't you dare disrespect him! He was greater than you! Greater than all of us! His warnings cannot be ignored!" Kurama shouted back, the anger that he'd somehow controlled slowly starting to reveal itself

"I know Kurama! But you need to move on. You need to live your life as you intend to not while being ruled by the machinations of a paranoid old man worried about the future. You've spent countless centuries, searching for the 'perfect partner' and yet all you've accomplished is breaking your bond with your siblings and managing to make us into weapons of war! Your scheming needs to stop! All it does is bring despair to everyone around you including yourself!" Son explained. His brother hadn't been himself for a long time. And as far as the Biju(Tailed Beasts) were concerned, it was their Father's fault.

"Blabbering fools such as yourself can never be trusted with responsibilities! That is why he trusted me with keeping his legacy safe. Even if you disagree with me, I will not stave off the duty that was handed to me. You fools might've forgotten yours but I will diligently do mine."

"Was killing his descendants a part of the responsibility handed to you? Did he not tell you to protect humans? And yet here you are, pretending to have done everything while all you've been doing is pushing away your responsibilities under the guise of having a master plan."

"You've become even more dull than that Tanuki, Shukaku. His premonitions were never wrong. They are coming and it's because of that, that I will continue with my 'schemes'."

"You won't ever listen to me, will you? Your mind is clouded by the old man's senseless ramblings!"

Before Son could continue, Kurama had pounced on him, holding Son down and baring his teeth at Son's neck.

"Don't ever talk about him again! Or I'll separate your head from your shoulders!"

Son only shook his head in dismay. Whatever the Sage had whispered in Kurama's ears before his passing had changed his brother. He was no longer who he once was. As he felt Kurama's vice grip on the mindscape loosening, he quickly told his Jinchūriki to get away from the area at any cost.

~

Roshi quickly snapped out of the trance that Naruto's punch had put him in. As soon as he did, he quickly picked up the dead Iwa nin's body and ran away at full speed. Jiraiya was thinking of tailing him but a movement in the corner of his eyes caught his attention.

As Naruto's body collapsed from overuse of the Kyuubi's chakra, Jiraiya came to his rescue. As Jiraiya held Naruto, he noticed several black vein-like lines all over Naruto's body. Minato had warned him that if Naruto used the Kyuubi's chakra, it would severely damage his body which could only be repaired by a medic nin.

Konoha was too far from his current position and there were no towns nearby which had any medical ninjas. Jiraiya himself had no experience in Iryo Ninjutsu (Medical Techniques) to actually help Naruto heal.

However, he remembered that Tanzaku Gai was one of the places she frequented. And if the hypotheticals of her traveling patterns that he had drawn were correct then she should have arrived in Tanzaku Gai a few days before today.

It was his best bet to save his student. He didn't think he would be doing this for a long time but it was time to pay a visit to Tsunade Senju.

That's a wrap!

How was it? A bit shorter than the last one but still relatively long.

I've tried to explain Naruto's conditions the best I can. I've also tried to show the fact that he has grown in his skills. Also, the reason Naruto/Kurama were able to defeat Roshi was due to 2 reasons which are a) Roshi wasn't going all out(obviously) and b) The power boost granted by Kurama's chakra is far larger than in cannon but also has a large drawback as it was shown.

A person commented about Minato's character and I want to clarify that he isn't evil or going to be evil in the future. He's just under tons of pressure and responsibilities and his judgement has become a bit misguided due to his need to do the greater good no matter the cost. He's basically a morally grey sort of character that does what needs to be done for the greater good of the world irrespective of the consequences. He isn't like Danzo but at the same time he's no Hashirama or canon Naruto either so...
