The path of destruction was a clear indicator of where the Golem was heading. Many destroyed trees, rocks, and parts of the ground all showed a pattern of movement. Vader and Louise traveled by horse along the path in pursuit. Vader was calm and composed, as always. His eyes scanned the area for any signs of the Golem they were tracking. As they continued on their trail, the Golem's trail stopped abruptly in the middle of the forest. Louise frowned and looked up at Vader, who was inspecting the surrounding area.
"We've lost the trail. "How are we going to find it now? We don't even know which direction the thief went," she said, stating the obvious.
Through the Force, Vader could sense that they were at least on the right track to finding the Golem along with the thief, Fouquet. Vader thought for a moment. He then noticed a small shack nearby and surmised there might be a clue.
"There," Vader pointed. "There's a small structure up ahead. I sense that the thief was here recently," Vader theorized.
Louise nodded. "It's worth a shot. Let's go."
They then dismounted their horse and approached the small shack cautiously. Through the Force, Vader tried to see if anybody was inside, but he sensed nothing. As they reach the door of the shack, Vader turns toward Louise.
"Inspect the interior of the shack. I will survey the surrounding area," he said.
Louise agreed, and they went their separate ways, each searching for any sign of the Golem or thief. Louise crept through the interior, her hand on her wand. As she searched around, she found a rectangular case with the Academy logo on it. This must be the staff of destruction, she thought to herself. Enthusiastically, Louise grabbed the case and ran outside toward Vader to show what she had found.
"Look, Vader! I found the staff!" Louise said while she ran toward Vader.
Vader then turned to Louise when suddenly, the massive stone golem from before rose from the ground before them. Louise's eyes widened in fear, and Vader immediately drew his lightsaber. Louise raised her wand and began to cast a spell, but she was quickly interrupted by a sneering voice from behind them.
"Impressive, but not quite enough to defeat my golem." It was Fouquet, the notorious thief who they were after.
She emerged from behind a nearby tree, smirking at the two companions. "You're the ones who have been causing me so much trouble lately," she said. "But now, I think it's time for you to meet your match."
Louise and Vader stood back-to-back, ready to face both the Golem and the thief. The Golem's massive fists swung at them, and Vader easily managed to dodge, his lightsaber slicing through the stone with a shower of sparks. Louise's spells bounced off the Golem's body harmlessly, and Fouquet cackled from the sidelines. As the fight raged on, it became clear that Fouquet was controlling the Golem with her magic. Louise had no idea what to do to defeat the Golem until she glanced at the rectangular case that housed the staff of destruction. Vader continued to fight the Golem, dodging and slicing with his lightsaber as the creature roared and thrashed.
Meanwhile, Louise managed to sneak around the Golem. She then opened the case, grabbed the staff of destruction, and swung it around, thinking that it would destroy the Golem. But alas, Louise had no idea how to use the staff. Vader then noticed what Louise was holding. The staff wasn't a staff at all, but Vader recognized it as an RPS-6 rocket launcher, a weapon previously used during the clone wars. Vader was confused about how that weapon ended up on this planet, but he didn't have time to speculate further as he was preoccupied with the fight at hand.
"You are using it wrong. Aim the weapon at the creature and pull the trigger," Vader yelled to Louise as he dodged the Golem's attacks.
Louise hesitated for a moment, looking down at the weapon in her hands. She had never used a rocket launcher before, but desperate times called for desperate measures. She aimed at the Golem's chest and pulled the trigger.
The rocket flew through the air and hit the Golem's chest with a loud explosion, sending shrapnel flying in all directions. The Golem stumbled back, its eyes glowing with rage as it prepared to retaliate.
Vader quickly stepped in front of Louise, deflecting the Golem's attacks with his lightsaber while yelling out instructions to her. "Reload the rocket launcher, Louise! Pull the trigger and aim for its head! Now!"
Louise fumbled with the launcher, struggling to remember Vader's instructions while dodging the Golem's attacks. She finally managed to load the weapon and aimed for the Golem's head.
The rocket hit the Golem's head with a loud boom, sending it toppling to the ground in a cloud of dust and debris. Vader and Louise stood there, panting and covered in sweat, as they watched the Golem dissolve into nothingness.
"Most impressive, Louise," Vader said, giving her a nod of approval. "You certainly know how to improvise."
Louise grinned while placing the empty rocket launcher back into its case. "Thanks, but I think I'll stick to my trusty wand from now on."
Fouquet stood nearby, her eyes fixed on the battle. She had been controlling the Golem with her magic, directing its every move, and she had thought it was invincible. But when Louise pulled out the rocket launcher, Fouquet felt a chill run down her spine. She had never seen such destructive power before, and for a moment, she felt a flicker of fear in her heart. As the rocket hit the Golem, Fouquet watched in horror as the creature stumbled back, its chest and head in flames. She tried to regain control of the Golem with her magic, but it was too late. The Golem was beyond her control, and it crumbled to the ground in a heap of rubble.
Fouquet cursed under her breath, her mind racing as she tried to come up with a new plan. She had thought she was unbeatable with her magic, but Louise's rocket launcher had proven her wrong.
As the dust settled around them, Vader and Louise turned to face the direction from which the Golem had come. They knew that the mage Fouquet was behind the attack, and they were ready to confront her.
"Stay on your guard," Vader warned Louise, his lightsaber still ignited. "She is still a threat."
Louise nodded her hand tight on her wand. She had never faced a mage of Fouquet's caliber before, but she trusted Vader's judgment. She had seen how skilled he was in combat, and she knew he would protect her.
Fouquet stared at Vader and Louise, her eyes fixed on them with a cold intensity.
"I see you've defeated my golem," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "But you'll find that I'm not so easy to defeat."
Vader stepped forward, his lightsaber still ignited. "Surrender now, and we may spare your life."
Fouquet sneered. "I don't surrender to anyone, especially not to the likes of you. Do you think you can defeat me with your toys and your weapons? You have no idea what true power is."
She raised her hands, and boulders levitated from the ground and shot out toward Vader and Louise. Vader deflected it with his lightsaber, and Louise barely dodged the attack. Vader then used the Force on Fouquet and launched her toward a nearby tree. Vader and Louise quickly closed their weapons at the ready. Fouquet lay on the ground, dazed and disoriented.
As Vader and Louise stood over Fouquet, Vader reached down and grabbed her by the collar of her cloak. He lifted her up, bringing her face to face with him.
"This ends here, Fouquet," Vader said, his voice low and dangerous.
Fouquet sneered up at him, her eyes blazing with fury. "You may have defeated me, but I am not so easily vanquished. I will return, and you will regret ever crossing me."
Vader tightened his grip on her, his eyes boring into hers. "You will not be returning, Fouquet. In fact, you will not be going anywhere."
He paused for a moment, a flicker of recognition crossing his face. "I know who you really are."
Fouquet's eyes widened in surprise, and Louise stepped forward, her wand trained on the mage. "What do you mean, Vader? Who is she?"
Vader held up a hand, silencing Louise. He turned back to Fouquet, his eyes fixed on hers. "You are not Fouquet. You are Longueville, the secretary of Headmaster Osmond."
Fouquet, or rather Longueville, glared up at him, her lips curled in a sneer. "W-What are you talking about?"
Vader's grip on her tightened, and he leaned in closer. "Do not lie to me, Longueville. I know the truth. I recognize your presence in the force."
Longueville's expression changed from one of defiance to one of fear. She knew she had been caught, and she knew that she was in deep trouble.
Vader continued, his voice cold and resolute. "You will face the consequences of your actions."
With that, Vader released her, and she fell to the ground with a thud. Louise stepped forward, her wand still trained on the fallen mage.
"What do we do with her now?" she asked her voice tense.
Vader paused for a moment, his eyes fixed on Longueville's form. "We will take her back to Headmaster Osmond. He will decide her fate."
With that, Vader and Louise lifted Longueville to her feet, and they began the journey back to the academy. They knew that the road ahead would not be easy, but they were determined to see justice served. And they knew that they had each other to rely on through whatever lay ahead.
As Vader, Louise, and Longueville made their way back to the academy, the sun had begun to set on the horizon. They had successfully defeated the Golem and captured Longueville, the true culprit behind the chaos that had been wrought upon the academy. The staff of destruction, which had been stolen by Longueville, was now safely in Vader's possession.
As they approached the academy, they were met by a group of anxious students and faculty members. They had heard the commotion and were waiting to see what had happened.
Headmaster Osmond, who had been overseeing the commotion, stepped forward as they arrived. "Vader, Louise, what happened? Is everything alright?" he asked, concern etched on his face.
Vader stepped forward, holding the staff of destruction in his hand. "We have the staff, Headmaster. Longueville was the one behind the theft and the Golem. She has been apprehended."
Osmond's eyes widened in shock. "Longueville? But she's been with us for years. I would never have suspected her."
Vader nodded, his expression solemn. "Appearances can be deceiving."
Longueville, who had been silent up until this point, spoke up. "It's true, Headmaster. I acted alone. I was desperate for power, and I thought this was the only way."
Osmond's expression softened slightly as he regarded her. "I'm disappointed, Longueville. I had trusted you. But your actions have consequences. You will face the full weight of our disciplinary procedures."
As the group made their way inside the academy, Vader handed over the staff to one of the faculty members, ensuring its safe return. Longueville was led away to be dealt with. But before Osmond was about to leave, Vader stopped.
"Headmaster, there is something we must discuss about the staff," Vader said, his voice low and measured.
"I see, but not here. Let's head back to my office to discuss this further," Osmond responded.
As the trio arrived at the office, Osmond sat down at his desk. Vader and Louise stood in Headmaster Osmond's office, the air tense with suspicion. Vader was staring at the RPS-6 rocket launcher that had been masquerading as the staff of destruction, trying to piece together how it had ended up in the Headmaster's possession.
"Headmaster," Vader said, his voice low and serious. "Where did you get this?"
Osmond shifted uncomfortably in his seat, a frown marring his features. "It was more than 20 years ago. A beast once attacked me, and I was saved by an injured warrior in strange armor. He wielded this weapon and killed the beast."
Louise looked between the two of them, sensing the tension in the room. "What kind of soldier? What did he look like?"
Osmond glanced toward Louise. "I don't remember, and it was a long time ago. But I do recall he was badly injured and wore a strange white armor, and the weapon was the only thing he had left. It saved my life."
Vader's mind raced as he listened to Osmond's story. He knew exactly what Osmond was describing - a clone trooper. But he couldn't reveal that knowledge to either Osmond or Louise.
"I see," Vader said slowly. "And you kept the weapon as a memento of that encounter."
Osmond nodded, a small smile on his face. "Yes. That man died from his injuries, and I never even learned his name. But I will always be grateful to him for saving my life."
Louise looked at the rocket launcher, a hint of awe in her eyes. "So, this is what the staff of destruction really is."
Osmond nodded. "Yes, it seems so. It's a powerful weapon."
Vader nodded in agreement, though his thoughts were elsewhere. He couldn't help but wonder about the clone trooper who had saved Osmond all those years ago. He knew that he would have to investigate further, but for now, he kept his thoughts to himself.
Afterward, when Louise and Vader returned to the dorms, Louise sat down on her bed with a contemplated look on her face. She couldn't help but think about the RPS-6 rocket launcher they had encountered earlier.
Louise then turned to Vader and asked, "Do you have any idea where that weapon comes from? It seemed so out of place in our world."
Vader paused for a moment, considering how to answer. He knew that the truth was stranger than anything Louise could imagine, but he was also cautious about revealing too much.
"That weapon is not from this world," he began, "It comes from a place far, far away, where there are wars and battles fought on a much larger scale."
Louise's eyes widened as she tried to grasp the enormity of what Vader was saying. "Do you mean...like a different continent?"
Vader shook his head. "No, a different planet. The weapon we saw today belonged to a soldier who fought in a war that spanned the galaxy. He was a clone trooper, engineered for battle."
"A clone trooper?" Louise repeated, trying to understand the concept. "What does that mean?"
Vader took a deep breath. "It means that he was created in a lab, designed to fight in a war. The clone wars."
"The clone wars?" Louise echoed, sounding bewildered.
Vader nodded again. "It was a dark time in the galaxy, filled with war and conflict. But that's a story for another time."
Louise frowned, sensing that there was more to the story. "What happened?"
Vader's face grew somber, and he hesitated before answering. "Many lives were lost. But that is not important now. What is important is that the weapon we saw today is from a very different time and place."
Louise nodded in agreement, sensing that there was more to the story than Vader was telling her. But she also sensed that it was not her place to ask any further questions.
Afterward, when it was the dead of night, Louise was fast asleep, her breathing soft and steady. Vader sat by her side, watching over her as he had done every night since he had become her familiar. But tonight, he felt restless, as if something was bothering him. He stood up and walked to the window, looking up at the twin moons. Lost in thought, he sensed a presence behind him as he stood there. He turned around to see the spectral form of Obi-wan Kenobi, his former mentor, and friend.
"Hello, old friend," Vader said, his voice heavy with emotion.
"Anakin, I sense that something troubles you," Obi-wan replied.
Vader hesitated for a moment, then spoke. "It's Louise. I fear that she is being drawn to the dark side of the Force."
Obi-Wan's expression was grave. "I sensed it too. She is powerful, but her emotions are strong, and they threaten to overwhelm her."
"I am at an impasse," Vader said, his voice filled with frustration. "She needs guidance, but I don't know how."
"You must be patient, Anakin," Obi-wan said. "Louise is still young and has much to learn. But you must guide her, teach her to control her emotions, and show her the true nature of the Force."
Vader nodded slowly. "I remember the darkness all too well, and I fear that I will lead her down the same path."
"You will not," Obi-wan said firmly. "You have changed, Anakin. You have found redemption, and you can help Louise to find it too."
Vader looked at Obi-wan, his eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, old friend. Your words give me strength."
Obi-wan smiled. "May the Force be with you, Anakin."
"And with you, Obi-wan," Vader replied.
As the spectral form of Obi-wan faded away, Vader stood there for a moment, lost in thought. He knew the road ahead would be difficult, but he was determined to do everything he could to help Louise. For he had found redemption, and he knew that she could too.
And that's a wrap. I've been in this creative mood for this story. I got so many ideas I want to try to implement for this fanfic. So some exciting stuff is gonna happen. Also, I might start up a discord server for this fanfic in the future. In any case, that's going to be it for me this time, so see ya'll later. (Of course tell what you think of the story so far)
