Naruto: A Little Help

Author's Notes: So, guys. I have done all the revision that I thought was necessary for the seven(?) chapters that I have uploaded. Chapter 8 is also complete, so when I am done uploading the revised chapters I will be uploading next installments.

Nothing major in this update. Corrected some mistakes, made the story flow a bit better, fleshed out some main features of some characters. What I am aiming for is to create an emotionally vulnerable original character. For that I will be sprinkling some revised backstory throughout the chapters. Not a lot, not at once, just some tidbits. Anyways, if you guys have any suggestions on how I can make it better or how I can improve my story, or even things as minor as grammatical or spelling mistakes that need to be corrected, feel free to drop a review.

Onto the story.

Chapter 4: Academy, Finally?

"I'm sorry, honey. But I can't allow it any longer." said mother. "Your secrecy is starting trouble me. If you don't tell me what you are hiding I will never talk to you."

That… scared me.

Frantically looking around, I tried thinking of a way out of this. I looked at big sis. She had an apologetic look on her face. Mother had ordered her to stay silent no matter what. This is the first time mom had ordered big sis like that. This meant she was serious. I guess I wasn't able to hide my secretive actions as much as I had hoped to. It must have been grating on her nerves that her daughter was keeping secrets from her.

I was not being fair to her at all. And frankly, I don't want to loose her. Now I have to tell her the truth. At least the version I have told big sis. Her confirmation to mom would ease her worries somewhat.

"I'm sorry mom." I began looking down in guilt, "I didn't want to hide things from you."

My words soothed the expression on mom's visage. I continued, "The things is… I have been secretly training, under big brother Itachi. I had told big sis about it and had her swear secrecy."

"That's not the whole story, is it?" mom asked softly with a suspicious undertone.

"Yes. You are right… I have also been trying to unlock my chakra."

This revelation sent mom into shock. The reason for that is that children aren't supposed to unlock chakra this early because their chakra coils aren't mature enough to handle any expenditure. Unlocking chakra for children can be quite detrimental to their growth. Even among Clan children, the minimum age to unlock their chakra is six. The only exception was Uchiha Clan, since their dojutsu allows their chakra coils to mature quickly. This was something I didn't know before coming to this world.

Reeling herself in mom yelled at me, "What!?"

I was startled by her sudden outburst. "I… I'm s-sorry mom…" I said tear welling up in my eyes.

Calming down mother schooled her expressions as best she could before speaking again, "Honey. I don't know much about chakra or whatever, but I do know that in normal civilians unlocking your chakra can stunt your growth. You can't do that behind my back."

By now I was sobbing audibly. Tears were flowing down my cheeks. 'I have angered her. She will hate me now.' I thought fearing the worst. Ever since I have reawakened in this world I was determined to create strong bonds. Never let go of my loved ones. I did my best to be loving and caring for my family and friends. The thought of angering mom turned me into a five year old girl, mentally speaking, since I was physically a five year old girl.

Mom kneeled down in front of me and gave me a big embrace. My crying stopped momentarily then came back with a vengeance. My fears of losing her were abated but I still felt that I had hurt her and berated myself for it. She began stroking my back to comfort me. I had a feeling that she didn't expect this type of reaction from me and it surprised her as well, because I was hearing the light sobs from her.

I embraced her back to soothe her as well, which was difficult as my crying got louder. After a while we separated. I still didn't look up, afraid I will meet her angry eyes.

"I'm sorry, honey. I hated myself for forcing you like this. Please, don't hate me for it." mom said surprising me. Why was it surprising? Because I believed I was in the wrong here. I didn't even think what she did was even slightly out of line. As Junaid I had fought with my mother a lot for interfering in my life. Not giving her a chance to bond with her son. I thought that she was some evil witch. But now that I had thought about my actions, it makes sense that something happened to me as punishment.

My new mom forced me into revealing my secret. Interfered with my life. Invaded my privacy. But I didn't think she was wrong in any way possible. She cared about me. She cared enough to force me to do something that she knew would make me hate her. That's how normal children are with their normal parents, right? Disrespectful because parents won't stop caring about them in their own way.

If that's normal, then I absolutely hate my previous self. He was a bastard. A dirty, no good, piece of shit with a stick up his ass. I absolutely abhor his very existence. But same can be said about me as well, since that was me, in the past, in another world.

I refocused myself after finally succeeding in stifling my sobs. I dared gaze upwards to meet my mom's eyes. The only thing in my mind was that this woman is not so much different from my other mom. "No. I'm sorry for hiding stuff from you. You didn't do anything bad." I told her with a choking voice.

Her small smile looked like she was silently apologizing again and accept my apology at the same time. "It's okay, honey. I'm just glad you don't hate me."

"I could never hate you, mom!" I quickly replied with certainty.

Her smile widened at those words before she turned downright terrifying. "Did Itachi tell you to unlock your chakra?" she said in an almost whisper.

"No…" I mumbled, "I was training on my own whenever he went out for missions and secretly tried to do it."

"So, not only were you hiding things from me but also from your big brother?" she said with narrowed eyes. I started to sweat profusely. "Young lady, you have been a very bad girl. From now on you won't be allowed to go outside unless either Fukushima or I am with you. You will only be allowed to train when Itachi is present and I will strictly tell him to not be too soft on you. Is that clear?" she declared with a finality,

As far as punishments go, this wasn't much of one. To me at least. In my mom's eyes, training was the beginning and end for me, which was no wonder since I kept at it like a maniac. This will do nicely as I try to increase my repertoire of non-combat related skills. But it still puts a damper on things. 'Oh well, I will have to find some other pass time.' I thought before nodding to mom.

Mom stood up with a satisfied smile and picked me up. Then she began walking towards the bathroom. "I see that you have build up quite a sweat from playing. How about we take a bath together?"

My favourite time of everyday. Bath with my mother. I vehemently nodded, to which mom chuckled. "Fuku-chan." She stopped and turned towards big sis. "I see that you follow any orders quite diligently. But please try to loosen up."

Big sis still didn't say anything. Mom sighed, continuing, "Your order is aborted."

"Thank you, my lady." Big sis finally said.

Mom walked closer to her before speaking, "Fuku-chan, you are family. Not a servant. Please, try to treat us like one. You are not our property. You are like my daughter."

"Yeah, big sis. You are my big sis." I said in agreement.

Sis waited for a moment before speaking reluctantly, "I'm afraid that is the only request of yours that I cannot fulfil.". She bowed deeply, "Please, forgive me."

Big sis has been like this ever since she was taken in by Yoshida family. She always refused to be addressed as 'daughter' or 'big sis', the latter of which being forced upon her by me. I motioned my mom to put me down and when she did I slammed into big sis in a bear hug. She staggered somewhat but kept herself standing.

"You will always be big sis to me, big sis!" I said, "And thank you for accepting my selfish request. I know I have inconvenienced you by making you swear the oath, so I'm sorry for that." I said the last part softly.

A window popped-up out of no where.

Maximum reputation reached with Fukushima!

That was unexpected. Did my words affect her that deeply? Will we see a change in her demeanour from now on? Will she accept us as family?

These question appeared in my mind as I slowly released the hug and went towards the bathroom, waving my hand. Mom stayed to say a few words to her then followed me inside.

The next twenty minutes were pure heaven for me. After earlier emotional roller-coaster, I was sitting in my mom's lap, surrounded by warm water, blissfully sleeping with mom's breasts as my pillows.

X-X

He was walking down the street. Ignoring the glares around himself. Today was special so he didn't need all the negativity. He ignored them like his care taker in the orphanage ignores him. He was happy today. Excited even.

The reason for his happiness was that his Jiji has enrolled him in the Shinobi Academy. He was going to be a Ninja! Ever since his two friends announced that they had been admitted into the academy he was impatient for his own chance. Today his Jiji summoned him and gave him his acceptance letter into the academy. Tomorrow is his first class, with both of his friends.

And even better news was that he was finally moving out of the smelly orphanage. He was getting his own apartment. For Free!

Nothing could make him feel bad today.

He kept walking towards the address his Jiji had given him. Three boys shadowed him. Followed his movement. When a particularly empty street came up they approached him stealthily. Naruto was unaware of the impending attack, humming in delight, a skip in his step.

The evening sun was casting elongated shadows on the ground. This street was starting to get dimmer by the minute.

Suddenly he felt an arm wrapped around his neck, putting him in a choke hold. Two boys, looking very injured, faced him with mad grins on their lips and revenge hungry looks in their eyes. Naruto, to his credit didn't panic. Already used to sneak attacks by brother Itachi and his friends, and they were better.

He quickly prepared himself to defend against them. The bullies descended upon him and a battle ensued.

'Hmm… He isn't here.' I thought as I waited in the classroom. Beside me was sitting Sasuke. He had the same thought on his mind. 'Today is the first day. He is supposed to be here earlier than us. He was excited for today.'

I was starting to get impatient. The introductory class was about to start. Everyone who was accepted was here. The list counted forty students. A head count revealed only one was absent. And that was Naruto. Looking around I spotted my friends. Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Hinata, even the ones I don't personally know were here, like Kiba and Shino. Some insignificant background characters that weren't introduced in the original story were also present. 'So why isn't he?'

I was chatting with Sasuke about Naruto's absence when the bell rang and Chunin teacher entered. I was hoping that Iruka would be our home-room teacher but I guess he didn't join until the last year. The teacher gave a speech, introduced himself as Kurrota Hishiyama, and opened a register and began calling names of the students. When Naruto's name was called in the end it felt like the teacher almost spat it out like venom and said that he won't be able to join us today due to unforeseen circumstances. I didn't take kindly to that but kept my thoughts to myself, instead I raised a hand.

When Hishiyama-sensei noticed it and motioned me to speak, I did so, "Naruto is our friend, sensei. Do you know why he is absent?"

He narrowed his eyes at me but answered nonetheless, "A messenger from Hokage-sama arrived telling me that he was attacked yesterday and he is currently in the hospital."

His tone was even, but his dislike for Naruto was evident. I had half a mind to run out right now and check up on him but decided against it.

Teacher dismissed any further questions by diverting the subject to the introduction to the course. Since we weren't issued books yet and all i had was a notepad and a pencil, I began making a chart of the schedule laid out for us using the verbal information the teacher gave us. Monday and Tuesday was History, Science, or what passed for science in this world, and Literature. Wednesday and Thursday were allocated for taijutsu training and sparring. Friday and Saturday was for "Practical Stuff", as the teacher so eloquently put it. I assume it is something like stealth, Ninjutsu, tactics and what not.

First period was history and second period was science while the third being literature. The classes went on well past noon and I didn't even have time to get bored. My mind was focused on my friend in the hospital. Sasuke and I didn't even pay attention in the class. We both were impatiently sitting there waiting for the day to be over.

As soon as the final bell rang, we both packed our bags in a hurry and darted out of the class, ignoring the teacher yelling at us to wait before he dismisses us. Zooming past the villagers in the streets we made a bee-line to the only hospital near the orphanage.

The receptionist looked disgusted when I asked her where Naruto's room is. She told us and we didn't waste any time in reaching there and opening the door. It was a semi-private room with four beds. We didn't even pay attention to the other three when our eyes found Naruto, a large scowl on his face, along with a large bandage covering half his face and left eye. When he saw us his smile was so bright it would have lit up a large room.

"What happened to you!?/What the hell happened!?" asked both of us at the same time.

Naruto gave us a sheepish grin and rubbed the back of his head in a careless manner. "Sorry guys. I was jumped by those idiots again." he said pointing to the other three beds in the room.

When I looked around I saw the same bullies from yesterday that we beat up. They were unconscious. I quickly realized what must have happened, and so did Sasuke, who grabbed my arm to prevent me from strangling them to death for hurting my friend.

"Relax, Ichika." he said softly. "They are not worth it. They got what was coming to them without our intervention."

I calmed myself down, processing Sasuke's word, and looked back at Naruto with narrowed, questioning eyes. "Did you lose?"

A simple question. To which he gave a simple answer. "I won." His confident foxy grin was contagious as both Sasuke and I mimicked him. I smacked his right arm lightly and he winced, but still kept up his grin.

"When will you be discharged?" asked Sasuke with concern.

"Sometime after dusk. They say I am recovering faster than normal otherwise I would have been kept here until tomorrow." he answered. "So. What did I miss?"

This time I answered him, "Nothing much. Today was just introduction to the course and subjects one by one. I have written down the important stuff so you can read them and be prepared for tomorrow.", I then gave him my notepad and he took it with a smile.

"Thanks."

"Want me to explain things?"

"Yeah. I don't understand many words in this. So please?"

"Of course." I said before turning to Sasuke. "If you have something to do you can go. I will be staying with him for a while."

"No. I'm good. I will stay here as well." he replied.

"Suit yourself"

We then spent some time chatting about Naruto's victory, our first day at the academy and his injuries. Some time later, the door to room opened up and my mother and Mikoto-san walked in, followed closely by big sis.

"I knew you two would be here." said Sasuke's mom. "I was waiting for you two to comeback and tell you what happened but it seems you learnt of it."

I hopped off Naruto's bed and walked up to mom and big sis, giving them a big hug one after another. I love giving hugs. It's something I really craved in my previous life. No wonder I was depressed all the time.

"Today was great! I didn't make many friends but many of my friend are in the same class as me." I told mom, "There was Ino-chan, Hinata-chan, Sakura-chan, Choji and even Shikamaru."

"Did you pay attention in the class or were you chatting with everybody?" mom inquired.

"I did. See!", I showed her my notepad with its first three pages filled, the first one being the schedule, the second one being the overviews of all the subjects, and the third one being notes about the first units in History, Science and Literature. "I took detailed notes for Naruto so he isn't left behind."

Mom smiled proudly at me before asking, "Were you given your books?"

"No." I replied.

"First days aren't that noteworthy so the books aren't issued until the second day." Mikoto-san pointed out, before turning to Sasuke, "How was your day?"

"Mostly spent it worrying about this idiot, but I paid attention." the raven haired boy replied, "After all, I can't surpass big bro if I slack off in academy." he declared with determination burning in his eyes.

Mikoto-san smiled and ruffled his hair, much to his chagrin. "So, you two coming back with us or are you two staying with Naruto-kun?" she asked turning to me.

"He will be discharged sometime later today. So, I think we will be staying.", replied Sasuke, "What do you say, Ichika?"

"Yup, We will stay." I replied.

"Fuku-chan, will you stay here and look after these three?", mom asked big sis.

"Of course, mis- mother." big sis replied. Her reply was shocking to me.

'A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.' I thought as I bounded to her and embraced her again. God, I love giving hugs. "Finally!", I yelled in glee.

"Mother was quite insistent after our talk yesterday." she replied, "And thank you for accepting me into the family."

"What are you saying!?" I answered in mock bafflement, "As far as I remember you have always been a part of our family!"

Her expressions softened and she smiled gratefully at me. From what I remember from peeking at my reputation screen, her perception of me have been the highest it can possibly go. Surely it can't go any higher.

As if to prove me wrong, the system showed me a window.

Your relationship with Fukushima has surpassed the design. Another special tier added only for her, "Worship", current rep 3000/10,000.

'The system just loves to mess with me.', I thought bitterly. But quickly turned extremely happy at the news. This meant her trust in me is through the roof. I can now tell her about this gamer ability of mine. 'This also means I have to be more careful I don't damage my relationship with her.'

The women filtered out exchanging good byes and big sis stayed behind. Sasuke and big sis seated themselves around Naruto in chairs while I took a seat beside Naruto on his bed, just to annoy him, really. I turned towards him and found his expression was gloomy and he looked like he was down in the sewers.

"Hey, what are you thinking?" I asked him out of concern.

He turned his downed expression towards me and gave me a forceful smile. "Nothing."

"Don't lie. I can see you are disturbed by something. Spill it." I insisted.

He looked back down to his lap, before answering, "I don't know… It's just that, seeing you interact with your family…" he trailed off. Still I understood what he meant.

"Oh! I see!" I declared, "You are depressed about not having one, right?". A bit harsh. This depressed Naruto even more. Others turned to me like I was the worst person in the whole world. Then I delivered my punch line to make his day. "Funny. I thought you thought of us as family. Was I wrong about considering you a brother?"

That made him recoil in shock. "No!" Then this processed in his mind he realized I was joking and he turned sheepish at his earlier reaction. Then his bright smile lit up the room. "You really think so?" he asked in a soft voice.

I smiled back at him, "Of course you idiot. You have two families.", I told him. His confused look made me explain myself. I pointed at Sasuke, "He's your second family."

I could tell that this was the best day of his life by the contagious smile that spread to everyone present.

X-X

Hiruzen Sarutobi regretted his decision to momentarily send Kakashi away on a short mission. He was usually the one to look after Naruto. Keep him safe against situations such as this. The day he sends him away Naruto ends up in a hospital.

Though, to be fair, this was just a brawl among children and not an attempt at his life for his burden. It still would have been better if Kakashi could have stopped the bullies before Naruto even realized. Hours before the academy was out, when the old Kage explained the situation to Naruto's… Benefactors, he was chewed out by them for hours. Both women were ruthlessly scolding him, without even breaking any law! The laws which would have made him arrest them for breaking, such as being rude to the Kage or accusing him of something to his face. Both of them did just that without going over the line and their expressions were icy cold when they seemed to be speaking respectfully.

When that was over he called for the parents of the bullies to the hospital and went there himself to take out his frustrations on those fools. There Naruto recounted both of their encounters, also accidentally letting slip that their kids were bullying the Hyuuga Heiress. The parents started trembling with fear at the revelation and that sight was a treat for Hiruzen.

"Now that you understand the gravity of the situation," he regarded the parents coldly, terrifying them even more, "You must be aware of the punishment for such actions. And since they are mere children, the punishment will be exacted on you instead."

All six parents couldn't speak out of fear. The old man turned towards Naruto, planing on easing their fears just a bit. If the lack of incident report or Hiashi and Ranai tearing down his office door was any indication, it must mean that the nobody else knows about it. Which means this can be swept under the rug if all the parties involved remain silent.

"Does Hinata-chan's parents know about this?", to the Kage's relief Naruto shook his head innocently. If the case was otherwise then that meant the Hyuuga Clan was planning something nasty for these people. Thankfully that was not the case.

"Hmm…" the Kage made a show of thinking, "Since the Hyuuga Clan doesn't know of this incident then that means we can safely dismiss this matter. Provided Naruto-kun stays silent.", he added the last sentence as an after thought.

The civilians looked relieved at first but suddenly realized what their Hokage meant. It meant that there lives were now in this brat's hands. This dem- no, that won't do, this handsome child was literally their messiah.

"Naruto-kun." the Hokage turned back towards the blonde, "If you see them," he motioned towards the children, "doing anything inappropriate or hurting anyone else, or if these people," he motioned towards the parents, "mistreat you in any way, you tell me. Alright?"

The boy nodded confusedly. But the threat was quite evident. If they so much as hurt his feelings he is going to tell the Hokage, and that was their death sentences waiting to be signed off. At the Hokage's pointed glare they understood that he was aware of their actions as well. They nodded and the glare was lifted, replaced by a sweet elderly smile. Not for them, but for Naruto.

"Get well soon, Naruto-chan." he said, "After all, you won't become Hokage if you miss your classes."

"Oi! I'm not going to miss any classes from now on and take that hat from you! That's a promise of a life time, dattebayo!", blonde proclaimed.

"I will visit you once you settle into your apartment.", the Hokage informed the child and Shunshined away, but not before signalling an ANBU to watch over the room from the shadows.

The civilians in the room were stunned at the casual tone the demo- child used with the Hokage. That told them the two were quite close, and even if the child lies the Hokage might take his side more often. That notion scared them. All six of them forced an apologetic smile on their faces and reluctantly bowed to the kid.

"Please forgive our children Uzumaki-sama!", they said in a chorus.

Naruto looked sheepish at this. He then told them it was not a big deal. At which all of them inwardly scoffed, forced to admire the child's nonchalance and innocence. They were besides themselves with fear for their very lives and here was a victim of their children blowing off their apology saying it was not a big deal.

If Naruto had the Gamer Ability, he would have noticed that these particular villagers' respect of him rose fifty times higher than it previously was.

They checked up on their respective child and filtered out of the room to wait outside.

X-X

The next day, Naruto was gazing at his apartment in wonder. It was not the original one that the Hokage had previously given him. That addressed lead to a poor part of the village. This one, however, was closer to the academy. It was a big apartment, for him alone, with one bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a living room and a study room. Light blue walls and oak wood floor in the dining room and kitchen, with all the required furniture already in place. One bathroom was connected to the bedroom and the other one right by the entrance for guests. The bedroom had pale yellow walls and oak wood floor with carpet over seventy percent of it. The bed was a double-sized one. Something which he only saw once when Aunty Yua tied him to a chair for punishment in her room.

On the left side of the bed was a large cabinet with two sliding doors. Opening it he found many outfits, ranging from casual t-shirts and shorts to ceremonial garbs. Another small table with two large drawers were filled with male undergarments, hankies and socks. The bathroom was already filled with basic utilities.

Coming back out he jumped on the couch and bobbed up and down for a while. In between the set of couches was a dark oak wood coffee table with an ornamental flowering plant sitting in a pot above it. He looked around to find the kitchen, which had a fridge, a three burner stove, counter sticking to the back wall, wrapping around it, large shelves and sets of utensils and knives.

The dining room was directly in between the kitchen and living room. It had a solid mahogany dining table and a set of six chairs surrounding it.

He stood up and opened the door to the study room. It had many shelves lining the red walls. A study table sat in a corner with a comfortable chair and writing supplies. Other than that this room was pretty bare.

He was so engulfed in the tour of the room that he forgot about the man and woman sitting in the living room. They were one of the couple that came to apologize for those bullies' behaviour. The man coughed to get his attention. "So, Naruto-sama.", he was momentarily startled and came out and looked at them with glee. "How do you like your new apartment? The other one you were given was not up to standards so our friends and us decided to give you this one." he said without letting the venom in his voice slip through.

"I love it! Dattebayo!" the boy declared simply.

"I see…" he trailed off. He had hoped that the boy might refuse this, but alas. "Then it is yours. You don't have to worry about rent, you can start paying once you graduate from the academy and start taking on missions. Until then, it's free."

Naruto's life surely turned around in a couple of days. His smile was bright enough to light up the entire apartment. He quickly remembered his painful lessons at the hands of Aunty Yua, and quickly bowed, "Thank you for this wonderful gift. Once I become a Ninja I will pay you payback tenfold."

Unknown to Naruto, all six of the parents had called for a meeting and decided that bribing was the only way to ensure their survival. The couple currently present in the apartment were it's owner and had quickly put forth that both couples would pitch in for the rent and his wife and him would handle the utility bills. They also added clothing and basic utilities to sweeten the deal. They then took their idea of "Bestowing a gift upon Uzumaki-sama" to the Hokage, which the Hokage approved with a knowing grin. He offered to pay half the rent with a sly smirk, which was politely refused, for fear of owing the Hokage even more.

They were expecting more demands and smug comments from the bra- child, but he once again defied expectations and showed a level of mannerism that even their kids lacked. His reputation with them increased, he just didn't know it yet.

The woman spoke up, putting a set of three keys on the coffee table, "These are the key to the house. There are three so you can give one to your friends or in case you lost one.", noticing Naruto's grateful nod she continued, "If you need anything else, anything at all, please tell us. We live on the ground floor, first door to the right."

Naruto bowed again, "Thank you for your consideration and thank you for looking out for me."

'This child…' thought the couple. "Anyway, We should get going. We have a lot of paperwork to do. Which we will send to you for signing." the man informed him.

"Would it be alright if I take some time before signing it?" the blonde asked getting up from his bow, "I have to take the docu- doku- do-,"

"Documents.", said the woman helpfully.

"Yeah, documents. I have to take them to Aunty Yua so that she can read them over for me."

"That's alright, Naruto-sama. Take all the time you need. There is no need to hurry.", replied the man.

"Thank you!" he bowed again, much to the couples annoyance.

'Enough with the humility already. It's getting too old', Thought the woman.

The couple bid farewell and Naruto closed the door behind them. When he came into the living room of his new apartment he looked at the simple wall clock hanging on the wall. Noting the time he paled.

He was late for the academy!

He quickly went to his new bedroom and opened the closet and picket out a casual outfit consisting of red t-shirt and dark blue shorts. Quickly changing he bolted for the door and went out. At the stairs he remembered he should lock his apartment before going anywhere. Then he remembered he left the keys in the living room. He went back inside. Picked up the keys and pocketed them. Went out again. Locked the door. And bolted again for the stairs. Completely ignoring them and sliding down the railing instead, as it was faster and safer than haphazardly climbing down each step.

X-X

She was walking down the stairs of her, now new, home. Another girl came into view. This was her big sister. Adopted sister, Nii Yugito. From what the little girl remembered from her memories, the queen deduced that the girl she is now possessing is afraid of her, due to the older girl being a demon in human skin. She had witnessed the demon's irises changing to bright blue with a yellow slit cutting them in half. Ever since then the girl was afraid of her.

It has been a month since the queen came to this world. She had forgotten her original name. Only remembered her title. That's why she decided to consider herself one with the girl. Never distinguishing between them.

But at this point she couldn't help but separate the two. The girl may be afraid of her big sister, but the queen wasn't, simply because she has seen far, far worse. That allowed her to approach the girl and form a bond. The attention deprived older girl was surprised at first that her little sister was trying to talk to her, well aware of her phobia. But she quickly took to her and vowed to protect her with her life.

How can she not. Her little sister was overcoming her fear, all by herself. Fear towards her, her older sister.

"Good morning, sis." I called out to her. She turned towards me with a gentle smile. Since the day I decided to put aside this girl's phobia and actively form bond with her sister, her demeanour has gotten kinder and gentler everyday. I have grown closer to her than anyone else.

"Good morning, little one." came her reply, "Ready for the first day of your academy?"

In the following month I learnt that this village is quite militaristic, there were trained assassins and thieves everywhere. Honour meant nothing to them. They cheated as they were expected to do so. The only authority anyone followed was the chain of command, at the top of which sat this person called A, his title was Fourth Raikage. The governmental system consists of dictatorship, and the position of the dictator was his. He called the shots, whether it be assassination, kidnapping, torture, or outright genocide, and everyone has to obey him.

Children are trained since the age of 5. To become experienced killers. I would have vomited at this had I not fought in and survived the war to end all wars back in my previous world.

Today was the first day of my academy. I was accepted in it after I passed the entrance test, which consisted of obstacle course, medical examination, and IQ test. I passed all of them with average marks. I didn't think I could do this bad in any test. I used to ace all of the exams in my world's royal academy.

"Yes. I am ready." I answered with determination.

She approached me and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "I will take you there before meeting with my team. We're going in the same direction after all."

My mother was busy with mission being a Jonin-ranked Ninja. My father ran a small restaurant with only one employee. They didn't have much time to spend with us so us two sisters got to spend a lot of time together.

We stepped out of the house and waved to our father in the kitchen of our restaurant, which was right next door to our home. Making our way towards the academy, I noticed my sister was getting quite a few glares and sneers and not-so-subtle whispers. It had been like that for the last month. Whenever we were out in public sister would get these looks from the populace. I wonder what her biological parents had done to make the village hate even their daughter.

When we arrived at the academy's main gate, sister faced me and knelt down, placing a hand on my right shoulder. "Do your best, little one. I expect you to surpass me one day.", she said as I was pulled into a warm and gentle hug.

"Don't worry, I will beat you some day in an all-out fight. And that's a promise!", I replied.

Even if I hated the system, I can't argue against it's effectiveness. Letting your forces roam around in the street in their uniforms gave the children a sense of awe and admiration at the prospect of being a Shinobi. Children chose to be Ninja of their own volition and vowed to do their best to become the best. It was a subtle sort of brain washing, and being a queen in my previous life I was familiar with many brainwashing techniques.

I often found myself criticising the system and trying to find flaws in their regularities. Old habits die hard, I guess. Going to different nations as delegates and guests gave me many different perspectives to many systems of government. I learned a lot from them and can't help but apply my knowledge to this world, specifically this village.

Coming back to the present, we both parted ways and I entered into the life of a Ninja in training. This was the only option if I want to find the failed-summon hero.
