Author's note: And now, we'll see what Daybreaker was up to. Due to time constraints, a writer's block, and a general lack of ideas due to the fusion being confined to her own timeline and only able to interact with other timelines via summons, this is incredibly short. Sorry.

In another timeline, in another Atlas, Harriet and Marrow were making sure a couple soldiers could get Arthur out of his cell to install a virus on Penny and make her help them run from the consequences of their actions. Just as the soldiers unlocked Arthur's cell, a Seer manifested in front of him.

"I am Daybreaker, and I will protect this kingdom," Daybreaker said after her face appeared in the summon, "From any threat." With that, she had her Seer slash Arthur's eyes, blinding him.

"What are you doing?!" Harriet asked. A Glyph appeared in front of her, and a powerful burst of air shot her against a wall. Before she could recover, a summoned Beringel slammed into her and punched her in the gut, then grabbed her face and repeatedly hit her head against the wall until her aura broke.

"As I said, I will eliminate this kingdom's enemies," Daybreaker said.

"Harriet!" Marrow called out and wanted to stop the summon, but a miniature Sea Feilong shots him with its lightning breath, slamming him against the wall.

"Stay down," Daybreaker said, "Final warning." The Beringel opened Qrow and Robyn's cells, and another one brought their weapons. The trio forced their way to Ironwood, knocked him, Elm and Vine unconscious, and Daybreaker had her Seer grab Ironwood's scroll.

"So, what now?" Qrow asked.

"Now, we let Salem in," Daybreaker answered and shut off the hard-light dome around Atlas.

"Are you crazy?!" Qrow asked and wanted to take the scroll, but stopped when he saw the fusion's silver eyes.

"The only crazy I am is crazy good at kicking Grimm ass," Daybreaker said with a smirk. Salem made Monstra begin landing in Atlas, not noticing the summoning Glyph near one of her Seers. As soon as her giant Grimm was in position, Daybreaker summoned a Big Ursa. It crushed the Seer between its jaws, setting off a wave of golden fire that ignited the Monstra.

"Wait, what?" Salem asked when she saw everything around her engulfed in golden flames. The hard-light dome came back online, bisecting the Monstra. The massive Grimm died, fading out of existence and leaving Salem's underlings stranded inside Atlas. Black Glyphs appeared above and below Salem, as well as to her left, right, in front and behind her, and crushed her with one powerful super-gravity blast. The Glyphs then unleashed the powers of the summer maiden, freezing the tiny black dot of condensed Salem solid at almost absolute zero. Salem's minions looked on in horror, and Hazel made Tyrian kneel, with his hands held to be restrained, as the military's soldiers arrived.

~o~

In another Atlas, the military was already fighting the Grimm army. A Seer appeared next to Winter as she was about to send the soldiers into battle, and she looked at the summon in confusion, not sure who had summoned it. As the soldiers got ready, Daybreaker's face appeared in the Seer.

"Hello Winter," Daybreaker said, "I am Daybreaker, and I'm here to help protect Atlas. Keep your soldiers here for a bit longer." Just as she said that, a large Glyph appeared under the enemy horde, and a strong gust of wind picked up. It grew into a whirlwind, lifting Grimm off the ground and slamming them into one another. Then, the whirlwind stopped, and the Grimm flew off in all directions, dying upon hitting the ground and exploding in bursts of golden light.

"What… was that?" Winter asked in disbelief, looking at the horde reduced to a third its size, and Grimm still fading out of existence.

"Warm-up," Daybreaker answered, and five summoning Glyphs appeared in a line, with each summoning a Leviathan. The massive Grimm unleashed their fire breaths, cutting even wider scars into the Grimm horde and causing even more explosions of light.

"Wh- what's with the explosions?" Winter asked, "And what are those orbs?"

"My semblance, also called Daybreaker," the fusion answered, "When I kill Grimm, they explode. The orbs are Spectral Healing, another semblance I can emulate. If I hit a Grimm, one of those appears. It heals nearby allies, and can even unlock people's aura if they collect enough of them. Now, give the order to charge."

"I- alright," Winter said, looked at the soldiers and said, "Charge!" Soldiers and Knights alike charged at the Grimm, who were mostly dispersed and disorganized, while both Daybreaker and Winter summoned several Manticore to provide air support. Not knowing which summon was whose, the Grimm were unable to effectively take out the bigger threats, and were quickly driven back as result. Every once in a while, soldiers would unlock their auras, which only made them fight that much harder.

Author's note: Salem isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Even though they can't keep her cool enough to stop her from thawing, that was a ton of damage. In fact, a ton per cm² of pressure.

Also, the title of this chapter is a reference to an anime, namely the first season of Pretty Cure.

Originally, the second part was supposed to be two parts, with Daybreaker using a tornado in one and an army of summons in another, but I'm already writing this with less than 24 hours to spare because I somehow forgot until now, so yeah.

For reference, the last time I edited the file for chapter 73 of the main fic was back in January. No idea why it took me this long to write this, but here we are. Sorry.
