I'm not wearing no fucking uniform, looking at the ugly uniform in sheriff's office so Graham offered to wear a badge to be part of the community to make it official. His infamous red leather jacket, he took the badge from Graham's hand and click into his belt at the same moment there was a loud explosion, an earthquake, a car alarm went off and all sort of noises were loud and clear all around. Magnus for a moment thought what was that then touched his badge, did I just do this, wondering what's the cause of this earthquake.
At the far near end of the town, the cave broke out as soon Regina arrived at the scene ordering everyone to stand back while the citizens of Storybrooke curiosity watched the men at work. It used to be a tunnel, an old mine, but something collapsed. Regina ordered the sheriff to set up a police perimeter to keep the citizens safe then redirected at Marco, "Marco, go help the firefighter."
"Mr. Magnus, this is now official town business. You're free to go."
Magnus with his arms crossed, "Well, actually, I work for the town now."
Regina wasn't told of this as she shot Graham a look, "he's my new deputy."
"They say the Mayor's always last to know," not that she's displeased with Magnus being a deputy, but the fact Graham withheld information from her.
"It's in my budget."
"Indeed," the Mayor put the conversation back of her mind on hold then ordered the deputy to help with crowd control. Regina made an announcement to the citizens of Storybrooke not to be alarmed and reminded them there's always been an issue with old mining tunnels with a promise that she'll take care of it to make this area safe.
Henry heard mom talking about paving the tunnel, "mom, what if there's something down there?"
"Henry, what are you doing here?" Henry wanted to know what's down there, and it was dangerous for Henry to know that there was part of the curse in the tunnels, "step back please," then pushed everyone else to step back as well. Cora was nearby watching and knew it was Magnus that slowly breaking the curse and Regina found a piece of a glass on the ground. Henry noticed mom picking up the glass and she looked more worried than usual then she put the glass in her pocket.
"What's that?" Henry wondered what was it that mom picked up, whispering to Magnus. Regina stopped him from talking to Magnus about the glass, "we will talk about this later. Please wait in the car."
"Deputy Magnus, Sheriff, cordon off the area."
Henry sneaked out of the car and ran behind one of the cop car, asking Magnus and Cricket over, "this required all of you, Operation Cobra."
Cricket had no idea he was even part of this, "I didn't realize I was in Operation Cobra."
"Of course, you are. You know everything," Henry looked up to him.
"We can't let her do this. What if there's something down there?"
Magnus made no connections between the curse and the tunnels, "they're just some old tunnels."
"That just happened to collapse right after you get here? You're changing things," Magnus and Cricket looked up to each other while listening to the Believer, "you're weakening the curse."
"That's not what's happening."
"Yes, it is!"
"Did you do anything different today because something made this happen."
Magnus didn't want to believe, but maybe it's because of him when he slowly touched his badge. He did want to have some roots and yesterday and today, he helped someone for the first time.
Regina found him talking with therapist and Magnus, "Henry, I told you to wait in the car."
"Deputy, do your job!"
Regina hasn't seen or heard from Cora for few days, where's mother, dialing her number, "Mother?" It's very unusual not to hear from her, we usually go out to eat or she would come over for dinner. I have a bad feeling about this, something is up in her sleeves.
Few days ago
Magnus
I fucking had it with Cora, pacing around in his loft upstairs with her threats and threating Henry. Cora met up with me in private to inform me that if I come anywhere near Henry and Regina, she's not going to kill me or Regina, but Henry. She said something that since the curse broke, the deal between her and Emmett is null and void, whoever Emmett is. I don't know who he is, but I am assuming he's someone important to Regina or maybe Henry's father.
Fuck. Fuck, what do I do, what should I do, still pacing back and forth. I broke Henry's heart when he heard our conversation that I didn't believe him. I had no idea he would spend time with his grandmother once a week at the exact time for an hour, no more and no less. No one fucking mess with Henry … and Regina. However, that did not bother him as much as that night he come to me crying, he said that grandmother forced his therapy to tell him that he will be sent to crazy hospital or something if he doesn't talk about fairy tale world and curses. I don't know what happen that night, it's like my savior slash father mode was suddenly turned on, felt extremely protective of the boy. I forgot everything except focusing on the boy and his mother, that moment was all matters to me.
I know half of Storybrooke University hates Cora, eye for an eye, dialing his brothers, Goliath and Hunter, "meet me at the same spot." It was the very same group of people that helped Emma and to keep her safe. Magnus waited near the pond with blanket of stars above and a full moon with his favorite knife hidden on his back then covered with her red leather jacket.
The boys and Hunter were the first to arrive and they all shook their hands, their secret handshakes. Hunter was the first to ask, "what's the plan?"
"She takes threats in this town and everyone. I'm fucking done with her," everyone is afraid to confront Cora and it seems she has Regina at arm's length that she couldn't do anything against her own mother. Not fucking happening.
The same man who named Goliath in the Enchanted Forest, Mark was tall and has large shoulder was the next to arrive, gave Magnus a respectful nod, knowing what will come next. We didn't want to make noises so we walked all the way to Cora's house, a large house that has so many rooms, but she remains alone. They all stood outside at the front door with Magnus at the front then tilted to the boys, "wait for the signal," urging the boys to hide. Magnus inhaled one last time then made sure his knife is safely tucked into his belt on his back. He knocked three times, waited for an answer then knocked again, three times.
Cora Mills opened the door, "Magnus, I see you are persistent man, the answer is no."
He stopped her from closing the door in his face and force himself to walk inside, "you don't get to decide anyone's fate, madam."
Cora laughs whole heartly, "oh but I do. Imagine. To peer across the forest and know everyone's secrets, including yours. To place my thoughts into the minds of the leaders and everyone. To force everyone to teach true history, the cops and the people will attack on my command. Magnus, we can be powerful together, more than a whisper, that's what I can offer you."
"Never."
"Stubborn as always," Cora smiles while offering him a drink. He gladly takes it, but didn't drink it. "What do you want, Magnus?"
"No, what do you want, Dr. Mills? You sent someone after me," he leans closer, boiling mad that she sent someone to kill me. It was in my sleep, and he crawls to the window in my loft upstairs. Luckily, I woke up when I felt his cold knife on my neck and caught him. David rushes upstairs to help me then we called the Sheriff.
Magnus looked around the house and spotted a sword then admired it while letting this woman denying, no surprises there, "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Why did you threat your own daughter?"
"I didn't, Magnus. I know what's best for her."
I thought she might say that, no matter how many times I questioned her, she's just going to pretend nothing happens. I couldn't contain my anger and lunges her into the stomach, "fucking no one hurts Henry or anyone in this town.
"I will always come back, Magnus," as she split blood from her blood while the boys outside setting the house on fire and breaking windows.
"I thought you might say that," walking to the fireplace to grab the sword then sliced her head before she could scream, "nooo."
The head of Cora dropped few inches from her body then he called the boys, "cut her body into pieces and cook her then let the animals eat her."
Mark agreed without question then asked what to do with the house, "burn it to the ground and make sure the fire stops before morning comes. Don't want anyone to notice yet."
Regina called again, but there's no answer. No dial tone then called the sheriff to check on Cora. I avoided her for too long and last few days was the best times because I was free to be on my own and to be who I am. Henry never felt better because every time mother spends time with us, Henry always felt awful afterwards, he would run to his room and lock, mother belittle him in every sense.
I waited for his call when he promises to stop by as soon as possible then checked on Henry, "Henry?" Regina increasing worried for Henry when he wasn't in the room then looked everywhere, "Henry?!"
Regina hurried grabbing her smartphone and dialed Magnus, "Magus!"
"Hello, Madam Mayor."
"Are you with him?"
Who am I with? She looked around the diner and eating his grilled cheese sandwich with a girl, "I'm on a date?"
Regina silently growls to herself about the news of dating someone, "Henry, is he with you?!"
Magnus didn't like the sound of mother's voice, not still and panic mode, "I thought he's with you?"
"He's not here, Magnus."
"I don't know where he is," sighed deeply then remembered the tunnels as they hung up.
Henry with his backpack and flashlight outside of the tunnels with determination to find proof of the curse to show Magnus, he's my father then started walking into the dark tunnels. Magnus hurried over to the tunnels and found candy bar at the entrance of the tunnels while Henry continues searching deeper into the tunnels. Henry spotted a piece of a glass tucked between the rocks; he lifted his flashlight to see what it was as he got closer. He picked up the glass and wondered where it came from and how did it get here, while inspecting the glass.
The tunnels weren't yet stable enough when Henry heard a rumble noise then he looked up, the rocks falling down. Henry ran the opposite direction while Magnus searched for him, "Henry! It's not safe! Henry." The rocks fell into the entrance of the tunnels and nearly all the pathway of tracks. Magnus picked up his flashlight and resume searching for Henry, his face and body were full of black dust, "Henry. Henry?"
"You're here to help me!" Henry excited heard him and ran towards Magnus.
"Listen, Henry. We need to get out of here. It's not safe."
"You're still … against me?"
Magnus kneeled front of the boy, "no, I am not, but right now it's not time for this."
"You don't believe me?!" Henry ran while yelling, "you will believe me!"
"Henry! Henry," Magnus chases after him while coughing. Henry stopped around the corner, seeing something shining glass, he couldn't see even with flashlight, "there's something down there, Magnus."
"Henry, this is dangerous. We need to get out of here."
"It could be something," Henry stubbornly wants to find out, not caring about the cost or anything else, and all he wants is for his dad to believe in him.
"Henry!" Magnus forces him to look at him, "look at me!"
"You think I am crazy …"
"No, I do not. We are trapped in underground in an abandoned mine, Henry. There is no way out and soon, no air."
Henry started to realize what he has done when he watches Magnus' concern eyes for their safely and health.
Regina at the top working with the workers to find a way to clear the tunnels. Her love and their son in the tunnel, it's still rumbling inside and the rocks still weak. Regina lost control when the workers tried to do something, yelling at them, "Stop! Stop! You're making it worse!" Their oxygen will run out, Regina didn't want anyone to see her crying, so she left to find some privacy.
Magnus and Henry searches for a way out until they heard a dog barking, "Henry, do you hear that?"
"It's Pongo!" Henry ran to follow the noise, and Magnus followed to carefully listen as it increases more louder, removing something that was blocking the way, "what's this?" It looks like an old elevator.
Regina converted with one of the workers to find something to punch through the tunnels, something big until another thought of an idea, "explosives."
Magnus looked to find something to make it work, "it get the miners in and out, maybe it'll work."
Regina and everyone covered as they set the explosives while Magnus was working to get the elevator moving. It was moving when they were turning the wheels, but at the same time, it blew and Magnus grabbed Henry to shield him from the large rocks that were falling onto them. Regina didn't see any opening, and they could have killed my family! Pongo was still barking inside the firetruck and jumped through the window, sniffing for Magnus and Henry on the ground. Regina followed him, "he found something." There is one spot that Pongo whines and tries to dig the ground, so Regina ordered everyone to help to clear the way and it's the air shaft.
"I am really, really sorry," Henry sat down, and Magnus' face were bleeding from the fall.
"It's all right."
"I just wanted to find proof. I'm sorry."
Magnus shook his head, "I promise it's all right. I'm sorry too." Magus sighed, "I do not think you are crazy, Henry." Henry sniffed a little and wipes his tears while listening to dad, "I just think you have a very strong mother and I got scared. It's natural, but it's also natural for you to be able to be free to think the things that you want to believe. I shouldn't do that to you, and I should've never said that. I am sorry, Henry."
"But why did you?"
"I am not a good person. I am not the man I want to be," Magnus was about to protect Henry when they heard a loud thudding then it stopped. The workers above were pulling the air shaft off of the ground. Regina wondered what's next.
Henry replied, "you can be him. I think you can be a good person. I mean, you're the Savior."
"I don't think that's hardly me, Henry."
"I know it will take you a long time to figure it out the right thing to do."
"Yeah."
"It's harder on you because of the curse. I know you hear voices inside of you to be who you want to be …," Magnus carefully listened until there's another loud thud again. Henry believed in him, believe in me that I can be good.
Graham brought out the harness to lower Regina down, but "I will bring them up, Madam Mayor."
"He's my son!" Graham nods and puts on the harness on Regina.
"Hey, can I ask you again?" Magnus curiously wanted to know the boy.
"What?" Henry searches for food in his backpack.
"Why is it so important that your fairy tale to be true?"
"I don't know," Henry shrugged."
"Come on."
"This can't be all there is …"
Magnus understood … Henry wanted the excitement, and to be the hero of the story.
"I thought if I find proof … but I didn't find anything."
"That's not true."
"I was lost, and you found me."
"Wait, you remember?"
"No, I don't remember. I was … out - more like passed out - that night and there was a big party because we won the game, but I remember someone saying something about Storybrooke. Your small voice has never left my mind."
Henry warmly smiles, and Magnus continues, "I just have to listen and pay attention harder." Magnus and Henry looked up when they heard a gravel clattering and some kind of large flashlight onto their faces, so they couldn't see who is up there.
"What's that?"
Magnus answered, "it's a rescue."
"Mom?!"
"Hang on, Henry," Regina talked to someone from above, "wait, stop." Magnus was coughing when he helped Regina pushed the small gate above them. Magnus then helped Henry up with Regina. "I got you," then looked at Magnus, "I got him." The elevator was shaking as Henry shouted, "it's gonna fall!"
"Dad!" the elevator dropped, and Regina couldn't believe her eyes that she lost her True Love again, Emmett. Emmett. Henry and Regina laughs when he saw that Magnus grabbed her belt. Henry gave him a thumbs up while Regina thankfully laughs.
Everyone was clapping when the three trios were safely above ground and Regina set Henry aside to tightly hugged him. Regina was rubbing his face and Magnus checked on him, shaking his hair, "are you okay, kid?"
Regina went home and allows Henry to stay with Magnus. They sat on the ground and Magnus lightly pushes Henry, "you scared me."
"I'm sorry."
"Let's get you home. Your mom wants you home."
Henry stopped everyone, "wait, listen," cricket chirping and birds singing and more animals making noises. They all heard it for the first time because there was never any crickets or animals in Storybrooke, it was always quiet and frozen.
"Crickets," one of the workers was shocked and others were surprised, "they are back."
"Things are changing," Henry smiles with a nod at Magnus, and he's the reason. That's my proof, everything is changing slowly.
Regina secretly sneaks back and dropped the glass through the air shaft while everyone was drinking and enjoying their night. The glass fell through and it dropped onto the top of Snow White's glass coffin that was brought over from the curse.
