AN: Couple of things, to those asking about mobile suits there will be a poll at the end of this chapter, though even if they are added they will be an Offshoot of Atlesian Paladins so only about as tall as a Knightmare frame from Code Geass. I figured that height from a pic that showed volume 8 Ruby by a paladin and I figure they are between 4-5 meters in height. Part of me wants to throw Blake in early just for Yang. Maybe I'll start their relationship earlier. I saw a reverse WhiteKnight ship in one of those multiverse fics and I was laughing my ass off, I'd love to see a whole fic about that. *Sigh* whelp I have a plan for Lalah.

I DO NOT OWN RWBY OR GUNDAM THAT IS ROOSTER TEETH AND SUNRISE.

Chapter 6

Jaune and Ren sat on the back porch and watched as Nora swung Magnhild around. It turned out that Saphron put too much sugar in the pancakes and Nora went into a sugar high. At first, the two boys had tried to calm her down with a short race but she outran them to the point of exhaustion.

"I'm still not sure this was an accident, Ren." Jaune turned towards his new friend.

"You might be right. I warned Saphron on what sugar does to Nora." Ren sounded out of breath.

"Might be revenge for all the times she and Clarise had to watch over Nora and me." Jaune handed Ren a bottle of water. The next thing they knew Nora had slammed her hammer on the ground causing the house to shake. Jonathan opened the back door and tossed them their weapons.

"Deal with that!" He slammed the door as he left. Ren looked at Jaune who sighed.

"It's been a pleasure knowing you but we aren't getting out of this." Jaune drew his blade and strapped his shield on.

"Seems today is the day we die." Ren put training rounds in StormFlower and looked at their future as Nora broke a large rock.

"Well, that didn't take long. Jaunes is going to push himself too far in training again." Char spoke as he and Amuro watched as Nora sent Jaune into a wall and Ren was knocked out after hitting a tree.

"And this is why we don't give Nora sugar. You should know that Ren." Amuro sighed. "But he won't listen. I've been trying to get him to do something about that fragile communication system this world has for months now." Char chuckled.

"Been trying the same. The kid believes in the good of humanity a bit too much." Char saw the pensive look Amuro had. "Not that it's a bad thing but we both know there are some awful people out there." He took a sip of the scotch he had imagined up.

"I Wish Lalah was here," Amuro admitted.

"I agree. Do you think she's somewhere out there?" Char wondered allowed.

The sounds of machines and a pull awoke her from slumber. Her mind was wandering she looked around and saw a man in a wheelchair pounding his fist on a table of tools. He nearly knocked over a picture of a ginger girl but caught it.

"I-I'm so s-sorry dear it seems like d-daddy isn't as smart as he thought. If only I could hear you speak one more time my precious daughter. Penny." He had started to cry tears rolling off the picture. She felt the pull again and flew towards the other room. There were notes all over. They showed designs for a girl but made from machines. She heard whimpering coming from a table. She went towards the sound and found the girl from the designs. She reached her hand out and was pulled into a white void.

"Where am I? Mommy? Daddy? Where are you? Why am I all alone again?" A smaller version of the same girl was curled into a ball.

"Hello dear, what seems to be the issue?" She asked the smaller girl.

"I can't find my mommy or daddy. It's so scary being all alone." The girl dried her tears and looked up but backed away. "Who are y-you? Mommy told me to avoid strangers."

"Your mommy sounds like a smart lady I am Lalah Sune It's a pleasure to meet you." Lalah knelled down to be on eye level with the girl and offered her hand.

"I-I'm P-penny Penny Polendina." Penny got closer and took it.

"It's always nice making new friends." Lalah smiled.

"W-we're f-friends?" Little Penny asked with large eyes.

"Indeed we are. Now you need to wake up your daddy needs you." Lalah pushed the little girls' soul into the machine body. "Don't worry I'll always be with you."

Back in the lab, Pietro was shutting all the lights off. He noticed the blueprints for Penny and sighed. He would have to start over again. He had lost his wife and daughter five years ago in an accident while they were visiting him in the CCT tower on Atlas. Some called him mad trying to bring his daughter's soul into a machine but he had learned a lot when he helped Ironwood on a project to help keep a woman alive. He rolled towards the most recent attempt and caressed her cheek.

"Oh, brothers please grant me a miracle." He wasn't a pious man but he was desperate.

"Daddy?"

The Arc family had made it back from Argus. Jaune was in his room catching up on the homework he couldn't get done thanks to Nora. He looked over to the two boxes he had brought back. For Yang, he had bought a collapsable motorbike helmet courtesy of Atlas tech, and for Ruby, he had gotten the book Atlas and Mistral Weapon Creation as well as a little dog plushie. He had also thought of getting them bracelets but it would interfere with Yang's weapon and Ruby disliked conventional jewelry. His thoughts were interrupted by his door being thrown in.

"Jaune! Your back!" Ruby activated her semblance and got petals everywhere as she bowled into him.

"Ruby! How many times has dad told you not to use your semblance indoors?!" Yang looked at the mess. "Sorry Jaune."

"That's fine she was just happy to see me. The yellow and black box is yours, Yang. Hope you like It." He pointed at the two wrapped boxes. Ruby grabbed the red and silver one and sat on his bed as she tore into it. Yang simply untied hers and opened it.

"Really a helmet? How… sweet." Yang eyed it and shrugged. Jaune got up and pointed out a button and when she pressed it the helmet collapsed into a pair of goggles. "Ok! This is amazing! Now, dad will have to buy me that bike!"

"You know what dad will say, Yang." Ruby looked over to the two then into the box. "PUPPY!" She pulled the plushie out and hugged it.

"Zwei is going to tear that thing up Rubes." Yang deadpanned.

"No, he won't because I'm keeping this cutie somewhere safe." Ruby placed the plush in the box and saw the book. "Really? A book?"

"Read the title," Jaune told her. Taking a sip of the orange juice on his desk

"Hmmm? Gasp!" Ruby pulled the book out.

"Did you really say, gasp sis?" Yang teased.

"This is so cool. So many weapons… There's a fire sword and a collapsable minigun!" Ruby hugged the book and Jaune and Yang chuckled. "I love you." Jaune all but spit the orange juice out and the laughter stopped.

"THE BOOK! I mean I love the book." Ruby hid her face in the book.

'~Jaune~" Yang sweetly sang. Jaune looked to see Yang was drenched in orange juice including her hair.

"Meep."

Jonathan was rolling out some new sod for his lawn when he heard lots of pounding. He looked up to see Jaune being thrown from his window.

"Hope he's got a landing strategy."

It was Yang and Jaunes' final year of Signal and the yearly Argus trip was coming up. Jaune was excited to visit his nephew Adrian Cotta-Arc. Nora had kept him in the loop since he was born. Ren was finally convinced by Amuro to send a small virus targeted mainly at government buildings through the CCT towers he had sent Jaune a copy and during summer Jaune let his lose in Vale. During the chaos, Ren sent a list of blueprints to a private inventor on Mantel Pietro Polendina. Ruby was excelling in signal and had gotten private lessons from Qrow on how to fight with her sniper scythe combo, Crescent Rose. She had two years before she got into Beacon and wouldn't leave Yang and Jaune alone as she wouldn't see them for a long time when they made it into Beacon themselves.

"Come on Jaune it's not connected to the actual championships, and it's an open invitation to fight the invincible girl herself. You can't say you aren't tempted!?" Yang complained.

"I'm going to Argus to visit family not participate in some publicity stunt for a sports celebrity." Jaune had argued with her about this since she learned that Mistral was holding a going away fight for their star combatant in Argus. Tai had already told her she couldn't go herself because he would be away for the week and someone had to make sure Ruby didn't try burning the house down again.

"Please Jaune just think about it. ~Pretty please.~" Yang stuck out her lower lip in a pout and Jaune caved.

"Ok! I'll think about it alright just stop pouting." He looked away from her.

"You're the best!" Yang hugged him and pulled him into a headlock ruffling his hair. "No wonder Ruby can't stop talking about you."

"We're just friends Yang!" Ever since the gift incident, Yang used it to tease two she viewed as family.

"For now. Well, you better get going. I expect you to win, you got it, mister!" She pushed him to the bullhead where his parents waited.

This was going to be an interesting vacation.

AN: God, I should start avoiding the Twitter and Reddit parts of the rwby fandom again. So Lalah is here now. Since Pietro was an allusion to Geppetto I thought why not have him trying to remake someone he lost rather than trying to make a new form of protector. He still had to go to Ironwood so Penny is still connected to the military.
