AN: Oof. so as I did my second chapter of the RWBY watches AOTRC I noticed a plot hole in Jaune's training. His mom thinks none of the girls have shown interest in being huntress's and yet Olivia is now at Shade without explaining why. Basically, she's super competitive and once Jaune started outshining her in physical activities she started training to be a huntress as well. Other than that… TIME TO PARTY IT'S CHAPTER 20. I honestly did not think I'd get this far lol.

Chapter 20

A man with greyish blonde hair gets an Email from James Ironwood labeled test runs. He checks his schedule and finds he has enough time to view the successes. He makes notes to strengthen the armor around points where a never more would attack after viewing the first. The second he finds rather competent and the failure was on the pilot. He couldn't believe that the third had passed. Sure they were a good shot but they basically set themselves up for the leviathan attack. The next few didn't provide much information other than the pilots tended to find ways to use similar weapons to their own. Richard's eyebrows rose when he saw two near-perfect scores. The sheer skill and speed those two used were astonishing, but he noticed the flaw almost immediately. He ran some simulations and after only a handful of uses and the machines would rip themselves apart so he would need to find a way to keep machines up to date with those two and started designing updates.

"This is insane there's no way these can be students running the tests. Please bring up the IDs of both Pilots." Richard said. To his surprise, they were indeed students, Lie Ren and… "Dear Oum Jaune?!" There on the screen, he saw his Grandson enter the Zaku and the sheer ferocity he showed while in the simulation, Jaune was born to be a pilot. He watched the security footage sent to him and chuckled at the nickname the soldiers gave his grandson, Jaune Luna 'Red Comet' Arc. Though the next screen surprised him more, the girl with black and red hair was special to Jaune, It reminded him of how he was with his late wife Lura.

"Schnee doesn't need to know yet. Hmm, I can't take Jaune away from the life he's made for himself. Maybe I should call him." Richard sat back in his chair racking his brain. 'Who's going to take over now? Violette is too kind, Nila and Iris never do anything without the other and the board would try to pit them against each other. Clarise and Saphron have already turned down the offer. Olivia hates Atlas, that just leaves...' "Sini."

Yang was pacing back and forth. She had just received a text from her father that put her on edge. Weiss was blabbing on about doilies or something stupid. She pulled out her scroll and sent the red alert to Jaune and Ruby but got no replies. On a better day, she'd tease them relentlessly for being too 'busy' to answer but this wasn't a good day. It was far from a good day, no today was a bad day.

"No doilies!" Yang shouted at Weiss. "Sorry I got to go, it's a code red." Yang ran off before her partner could speak.

"Ok? What the heck is a code red?" Weiss saw she was alone and pulled out a snowflake doily. "What Yang won't know won't hurt her."

Jaune groaned and yawned as he got out of bed. He had decided to take a nap since Nora was out somewhere with Ren. Ruby was out looking for yang and Weiss to help her on some secret project and Blake was well. He looked to Blakes side of the room and the strings and corkboards were still there and Blake had vanished.

"Hmmm, that's not good. A paranoid sleep-deprived ninja has vanished. Oh well, as long as I don't look for her I have possible deniability." Jaune mumbled.

'Not sure that's how that works.' Char commented. Jaune was about to reply before there was a knock on his door. He stood up and opened it. 'Oh the kitty got to her as well' Jaune thought.

"Dang Yang. Bad hair day?" June smoked at the frazzled-looking Yang.

"Very funny Vomit Boy. Why haven't you or Ruby been answering my messages." Yang looked annoyed.

"I just woke up from a nap. Why would Ruby need to answer she left earlier to get your help with… something." Jaune shrugged as Ruby wouldn't tell him anything.

"Oh yeah, she asked for dress advice." Yang slammed her fist into her hand. "She left when Weiss and I said we were too busy. Why didn't she ask Blake?"

"Oh, that's easy. Blakes has gone off the deep end." June jesters Yang in and shows her Blake's wall.

"Yikes." Yang rubbed the back of her neck. "Guess we have two problems now."

"Two?" Jaune asks. Yang doesn't even answer and just shoves her scroll in his face, he quickly read it and sighed.

"I'd say three but I think I know where Ruby is and if she did go to her we won't be seeing her all day." Jaune chuckled.

"What's going on with Ruby?" Yang asked.

"Well since you and Weiss were busy she probably went to the only person she knows that has fashion sense," Jaune answered.

"Do you mean Coco?" Yang smirked.

"Yup," Jaune smirked.

"Whelp I'm not messing with that. I'll take the sleep-deprived kitty." Yang said skipping off.

"Wait no. Don't leave me with them!" Jaune yelled.

"Ok how about this?" Nila asked, holding a form-fitting red dress.

"No that doesn't fit her personality. We should look at the more frilly dresses, you know to match those skirts she likes." Iris countered.

"How bout this one Ruby?" Coco held up one. Ts was a short, red, sleeveless dress with a thick black sash and laces on the chest with a transparent mesh that ended at the collar.

"Yes!" Ruby said excitedly.

"Alright girls! Now to pick out the shoes." Coco said spinning around.

"NO HEELS!" Ruby screamed.

Yang spent over an hour looking for Blake before deciding to look in the library. She searched the less crowded areas first as Blake normally hated being around a lot of people but couldn't find her. She leaned over the railing and noticed a rather paranoid girl on a computer. Yang pulled out the laser pointer she was using to mark areas for decorations and caught their attention. The girl looked around and confirmed that she was indeed Blake. 'I m so going to hell for this but I can't resist.' Yang thought as she went to the level Blake was on and actually got Blake to follow the laser. Bringing her around a collum Yang ambushed her by grabbing her hand.

"We need to talk." Yang pulled a weak struggling Blake to an abandoned classroom.

"Yang, if you're going to tell me to stop, you may as well save your breath. You'd have better luck stopping Ruby from sneaking into Jaunes bed at night." Blake yawned.

"We'll get back to that information later. Right now I don't want you to stop; I want you to slow down." Yang said sitting Blake down.

"I don't have the luxury to slow down!" Blake tried standing up only for Yang to push her back.

" It's not a luxury; it's a necessity."

"Torchwick… has to be stoped." Blake pleaded.

"And we will stop him but you need to sit and think," Yang said gently. Blake thought before nodding reluctantly.

"Ruby and I grew up in Patch, an island off the coast of Vale. Our parents were Huntsmen. Our dad taught at Signal, and our mom took on missions around the kingdom. Her name was Summer Rose, and she was, like... Super-Mom: Baker of cookies and slayer of giant monsters. And then... one day she left for a mission and never came back." Yang paused wiping a tear from her cheek. "It was tough. Ruby was really torn up, but... I think she was still too young to really get what was going on, y'know? And my dad just kind of... shut down. It wasn't long before I learned why. Summer wasn't the first love he lost; she was the second. The first... was my mom. He wouldn't tell me everything, but I learned that the two of them had been on a team together with Summer and Qrow and that she'd left me right after I was born."

"Why did she leave you?" Blake felt bad for making Yang relive this memory.

"That's the question... Why? I don't know an answer, but back then I was determined to find out. I would ask anyone I could about what they knew about her. Then, one day, I found something. What I thought was a clue that could lead me to answers, or maybe even my mother." Yang sighed. She hated what she had done.

"I waited for Dad to leave the house, put Ruby in a wagon, and headed out. I must've walked for hours. I had cuts and bruises, I was totally exhausted, but I wasn't gonna let anything stop me. When we finally got there, I could barely stand, but I didn't care; I had made it. And then I saw them. Those burning red eyes. There we were: A toddler sleeping in the back of a wagon and a stupid girl too exhausted to even cry for help. We might as well have been served on a silver platter. But, as luck would have it, our uncle showed up just in time."

" Yang... I'm sorry that happened to you, and I understand what you're trying to tell me, but this is different. I'm not a child, and this isn't just a search for answers!" Blake started to say more but Yang got up in her face.

"I'm not telling you to stop! I haven't! To this day, I still want to know what happened to my mother and why she left me, but I will never let that search control me. We're going to find the answers we're looking for, Blake. But if we destroy ourselves in the process, what good are we?" Yangs eyes were burning red.

"You don't understand! I'm the only one who can do this!" Blake forced herself up.

"No." Yang shoved Blake back down. "If Roman Torchwick walked through that door, You'd lose!"

"No, I wouldn't!" Blake struggled against yangs hand but couldn't budge her.

"You can't even stop me! I'm not asking you to stop. Just please, get some rest." Yang hugged Blake. Blake just sat there as Yang started towards the door.

"Oh by the way I hope to see you at the dace." Yang winked. "I'll save you a dance."

Jaune watched a bullhead land and sighed. His parents and Yangs dad were on that ship. He activated his aura a split second before a small blonde torpedo slammed him into the ground. He opened his eyes to see a surprise, Violette was with them which means Sini had also come.

"Did you miss me?" Violette jumped off of him.

"Hmm, nope," Jaune said.

"Meanie! Wait till I tell Ruby. Where is she?" Violette looked around.

"Yeah. Where is she Jaune." Taiyang asked staring at him.

"Out shopping with Coco." Jaune chuckled.

"Shame I would have liked to se my future daughter-in-law before settling in for the night," Amelia smirked.

"MOM!" Jaune screamed in embarrassment.

"Now, now let's not tease him too much dear." Jonathan wrapped his hands around his wife's waist.

"Hello, big brother how are you?" Sini bowed.

"I'm fine. I've told you before you don't have to be so formal with me Sini." Jaune answered.

"Oh very well. Is Ruby here?" Sini looked around.

'This is going to be all day isn't it?' Jaune thought.

'It's not that bad at least Tai doesn't know Ruby sleeps in your bed.' Char chuckled.

"Hey Vomit Boy mind explaining why Blake says Ruby sleeps in your bed!" Yang yelled from across the courtyard.

'Ah, looks like I spoke too soon.' Char laughed as Tai glared at Jaune.

'Oh, Crapbaskets.'

AN: Whelp Jaunes a dead man lol.
