Arrival of the Twins

A/N: This took a lot longer then intended. Most of that was because of my very limited experience on these kinds of scenarios. So bare with me here on this paticular chapter. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy.

Present Time

It was the middle of the night at Domino City's hospital. One of the people that was sitting down at the main lobby was the Red Hat himself. After he found out that Blair was in labor. He immediately called an amubulance and brought her here to the hospital in a rush. Despite that, he was unable to be by her side. He was unable to sleep. He just couldn't sleep, not while knowing Blair was in pain and giving birth. He did everything he could to remain awake. He was not willing to sleep until he absolutely knew Blair was okay.

'Please be okay... I can't lose you, Blair...' He thought as he clutched his head.

"Kids are so impaitent these days." A woman comments.

"He's not even a man yet." Another woman comments.

"Just what was he thinking? He better not leave her behind." A man comments.

Red Hat ignored the comments from the other people inside the lobby. What would they know about his affairs? He also wondered, how did they know he was here for Blair? Oh, who was he fooling. He came from one of the many hallways of the hospital, not the main doors of the hospital. Why else would he be here? He would almost had no use for the hospital, until right now. He never once in his life thought he would use the hospital for anything, other then maybe social security. Even then, he had to go to other office buildings for such tasks.

Red Hat remained sat down on his seat, waiting and waiting for time to pass by. No matter how long he waited, he remained restless. Despite the fact he wanted to fall asleep. He couldn't fall asleep. He clutched his head, lowered his hat, he even paced back and forth on the same spot over and over until he would sit down again. After what felt like an enternity, he couldn't take it anymore and started buying multiple drinks, usually coffee or anything that contained caffeine. While he never actually drank any said drinks with caffeine, he didn't care at the moment. He didn't want to eat. He just couldn't do it, despite a vending machine existing nearby.

'Feeling tense... Judging by the way you're actinng, you are terrified.' His duel spirit partner, Aussa took notice.

Red Hat quietly moved away from the main lobby and moved the back end, while drinking his coffee. "Blair is giving birth... I can't be with her yet... I'm worried to no end. I want to be by her side, not out here."

'While you might not be able to be there, you don't have to worry so much.' The earth charmer pointed out. 'She isn't alone in the labor room.'

"What makes you say that? Besides the medical staff, who else is with her?" He asked.

Aussa smiled at him. 'Why who else? The lightsworn are watching over her. Despite your wife being in labor, the lightsworn are there to give her support until you are able to be by her side.'

Red Hat sighed and drank more of his coffee. "The lightsworn are watching over her..."

'They are watching over her. Not just Ryko, but some of the lightsworn ladies are watching over your wife.' Aussa acknowledge.

Red Hat finished his drink and threw it at a nearby garbage can. "While I thank the lightsworn for watching over her. It still doesn't make me feel better."

Meanwhile in the Labor/Delivery room.

Blair was breathing steadily through another contraction, now wearing a hospital gown. They were steadily coming closer together. It had been three hours since her water broke. It seemes longer to her at that moment. She felt pain after pain from each contraction. While she knew being in labor was painful. She never expected it to be this painful. It didn't help the fact that she was carrying twins, which made it more difficult.

Multiple female duel spirits, all part of the Lightsworn showed up. They all did their best to support Blair as much as were able to. Mostly cheering her on or helping her calm down. Ryko the Lightsworn dog barked and whimpered at the sight of Blair being in pain.

'My lady, please hang in there. You're doing great.' Lyla encouraged her.

"It hurts! It hurts so much!" Blair cried out. She inhaled deeply as she went through another cotraction.

'Don't give up, my lady. We're all here for you.' Lumina assured her.

'Your husband is deeply worried about you. He wishes he can be with you. We're here in his place until he is able to be by your side.' Jain explained. Ryko merely barked, fully supporting Blair.

Blair tried to speek up, but then had another contraction which caused her to momentarily lose breath and scream. Blair took mutiple deep breaths to somewhat calm down, despite the growing pains. Some of the lightsworn did their best to encourge Blair as much as they could, despite the fact they were unable to do much besides encouraging her. She wondered when Red Hat would be allowed to be by her side.

"We're sorry, but we can't let your husband in until after you have fully dilivered. Be paient." One of the doctors said.

Blair couldn't help sigh and cry out in pain. It's as if the docotrs knew what she was thinking about. Wasn't the husband supposed to always be by her side while she was giving birth? Was everything she thought she knew and saw just a lie? At the moment she didn't care and just wanted this to be over. She thrashed about, until some doctors held her down to calm her down.

Back at the Lobby

Red Hat was unable to stay still and continued to pace back and forth. It's gotten to the point he went to the restrooms on numerous occasions, most of the time washing his face. This time around he stayed in the restroom staring at his reflection in the mirror. To say that he was stressed out was an understatment. His eyes, despite being hidden by his hat were turning slightly red from him refusing to sleep and stressing himself out. His spirit friends noticed this and appeared next to him once he left the restroom.

'I understand you're stressed out, but arent you taking this too far?' Aussa pointed out.

"I never felt like this before... I can't take it anymore. Fighting duel spirits, hostile people, and evil master minds is one thing, but knowing my wife is in pain and there's nothing I can do about is quite another." He replied, rubbing his eyelids.

'You know, it's a bad omen if you feel more stressed out then the person who's actually feeling stressed out.' The light charmer pointed.

He rolled his eyes at that comment. "Don't remind me."

'You're lady has the biggest trust in you.' The wind charmer points out. 'Why else would she trust you with siring children for you.'

"It's not because of the lack of trust, Wynn." He clarified. "Blair is still so young. Giving birth this young is painful for her. We didn't plan to have children so soon. Let alone two years after she graduated."

'Don't women have an easier time having kids young though? I don't understad why you humans wait until the woman get's too old for that?' Dharc asked, sighing.

'Speak for yourself.' Lyna teased. 'When will we get the chance to do it, Dharc? I've been waiting for that day.' She said while blushing.

Dharc dead panned at her comment. 'Now isn't the time to be talking about that.'

"She's quite the handful isn't she?" Red Hat asked, raising an eyebrow.

'Lyna and I have been childhood friends for a long time. We are orpahns, so we have remained close for so long.' Dharc explained. 'Sometimes, she can be quite the air head.'

Lyna puffed her cheeks. 'Dharc, don't be such a meanie.'

'It's true though. You are an air head.' Hiita pointed out.

'No one asked you, Hiita!' Lyna snapped.

'That's enough, the three of you!' Aussa warned.

Red Hat sighed and slumped in one of seats at the main lobby. "I appreicate you all for trying to calm me down, but it's not helping much."

'Sorry about that, but do try and stay calm.' Wynn said.

"No worries..." He replied as he sat back down on one of the many seats of the main lobby. Despite what he claimed, he was terrified and not calm at all.

Back in the Delivery Room

Blair was still in a lot of pain after many contactions for the past couple hours. She scream and flailed around, despite the doctor holding her down to keep her steady. The spirits watched on, being unable to help her directly. Ryko whimpered while occasionally barking to show his support to her. Despite Blair being able to calm down, was still clutching the sides of the bed she was in.

"You're almost there. Just a bit longer, and you'll soon be able to push." One of the docotors told her.

"Push? It fucking hurts!" Blair cursed for the first time in her life. The lightsworns even gasped that she even used such langauge.

'My lady, please don't start curing just because you're in pain.' Lumina requested.

'It's not pollite for a maiden to curse in such a way.' Lyla spoke up.

"To much noise! Please shut up!" Blair scream as she was in pain

The doctors were confused at what she meant. There was hardly any noise besides some of the monitors that read her readings. What they didn't know, the lightsowrn spirits were watching over Blair. While they tried to calm her down. She didn't want their support at the moment. Who she really wanted by her side, was her husband.

'My lady, while you want your husband to be by your side. You are well aware he can't come while you're like this. Please hold on.' Lumina reminded her.

Blair screamed in pain. "Shut up! He did this to me! When he comes, I'll give him a piece of my mind! I won't forgive that bastard of a husband!"

The lightsowrns ignored her following comments. They knew it was just pain talking. They couldn't help but worry for her. This amount of pain was stressful for everyone, not just for Blair. They wondered how her husband was handling the situation. They hoped he was doing a better job handling the situation.

Back the Lobby

Seconds turned to minutes, and minutes turned to hours. After a couple of hours have passed, Red Hat sat down in another section of the lobby. He stared out into the window. As he stared off into the night, refusing to sleep in the process. He noticed that it began to snow outside. How long has it been since he was in here? He knew the sky was pitch black when he left his home, but to think it would start snowing now? While it was close to the start of the winter season. He didn't expect it would snow so soon. Least it wasn't snowing up a storm. That was the last thing he wanted to see during this fine mess.

'Snow... I may have my red jacket, but Blair came in without much. We kind of just rushed inside here...' He thought as he crossed his arm, still trying to fight off sleep.

He would constantly rub his eye lids, occasionally returning back to the bathroom to wash his face before returning back to his current seat. Red Hat was not used to staying up late, let alone way past midnight. It felt like an eternity waiting around and hoping Blair was doing okay. He hoped the worst case scenario wouldn't dare happen.

'Blair... you mean a lot to me... You gave my life a purpose... Without you, my life would be next to meaningless. Even with everything I obtain. Without someone to celebrate with... it is meaningless. Least for me...' He thought as he dred the feeling of being alone again. Especially since he'll have twins to take care of. While he was terrified at the thought of raising twins. He would not leave them. He would do everything in his power to raise them and not repeat the same mistakes he made.

'Have you calmed down yet? For a moment, you had a defeated attitude.' Aussa asked, noticing the change in his demenor.

"Somewhat to an extent. I hope Blair survives giving birth." He replied, still staring off into the night sky.

'Is that why you're so uptight right now? You're afraid she might die?' Aussa asked, adjusting her glasses.

"If she does... then I have nothing left besides the twins..." He said, looking at the obscured moon.

'You shouldn't sell her short.' Aussa glares a him. 'She's fighting for her dear life to give birth to healthy twins.'

"Sorry..." He apologized, still staring into the night sky. "Guess I'm just exagerating here..." He stared off into the snowing night sky, observing the snowflakes floating around. "Aussa... do you think the twins will be able to see spirits?"

'That depends...' She continued as he looked at her direction. 'They can potentially be born with the power to see spirits. That or we can show up and reveal ourselves to them once they grow up a bit. Why do you ask?'

"This may sound silly, but I want the twins to know you all..." He said with a slight smile. "We now consider you spirits as part of our family. We may not be able to fully interact with you all, but just being around us is more then enough."

'I'm flattered that you consider us family. Even though we never did had the intention of being part of this family of yours.' Aussa smiled back. 'Hard to believe you're the same hostile person from back then.'

Red Hat sighed. "At this point, I know none of you are going to forget how I was back then."

Aussa giggled at his expense. 'And can you blame us? You were very different back then. Some might say, without our help, you wouldn't have changed much.'

"Guess you can say that." He agreed.

He continued to stare off into the night, waiting for Blair to give birth to the twins. He continued to dred the worst case scenario. He hoped the worst case scenario wouldn'thappen. Despite all the trouble he encountered over the years. He would either handle it or find an answer to. This time, he had no answer and he can't handle it either. With all his best efforts to remain calm, even with the help of his spirit friends. He was slowly losing his mind and went insane. He remained sat down on his seat while clutching his head, waiting for the time to pass quickly, despite taking an eternity.

A Few Hours Later

Was it dred or absolute anxiety? Red Hat didn't know. What he did know, is that Blair has been in pain for a very long time now. Once he couldn't take it anymore, he asked his spirit friends to check up on her and notify him on her progress. He made sure to remind them to not spoil the surprise if they see eve one of the twins. Through out the hours, he was being notified that after intense pain Blair was facing, while cursing his name to high heavens.

While he felt guilty for leaving Blair behind. There was nothing he could do. He would just be in the way of the doctors doing their work. He was told that one of the twins was already born. As he looked up at one of the many clocks in the hospital. It was literally four o' clock in the morning. It's been literally eight hours since they came here to the hospital. All this waiting and dred has taken a toll on him. Since he knew Blair was having twins, the second child would take about another hour or so.

'I'm so tired... It's almost morning...' He thought, constantly rubbing his eye lids and yawning non-stop. 'I just want this to be over... I want to see her so badly...'

He would continue to wait around. Sometimes he would stretch and pace back and forth to pass the time. He refused to eat or fall asleep, despite his growing hunger and drowsiness. Until he knew Blair is okay and is able to see her, he refused to rest. While he waited for another hour to pass. He noticed the sun was about to come up from the horizon. Just how long did all of this last? He knew this would take many unbearable hours, but until the next morning? To him, this felt ludacrus.

'Sun is about to rise... I'm so tired... Please let it end soon...' He thought, fighting back his drowsiness.

After some time has passed, some of his and Blair's duel spirits showed up. Somehow he knew what they were about to inform him about, but decided to listen in. 'My lord, our lady has just finished giving birth to your children.'

Red Hat sweat dropped at being called a 'lord'. He shook the thought off and spoke up. "Has she finished? How is she? Is she okay?"

The lightsworns smiled at him. 'Calm down now, my lord. She is perfecly fine. She is tired right now. Let her rest for the time being.' Lumina assured him.

"Thank you..." He thanks and sat back down. Now that he knew that Blair was okay and resting peacefully. He was now at ease, knowing ful well Blair gave birth without too much trouble... Least that is what he believed at first.

Eventually one of Blair's doctors walked up to him. "Mr. Red Hat was it?"

He turned around and stood up as he heard his name being called. "Yes, that's me? How is Blair holding up? Is she okay?"

The doctor looked at him while checking multiple papers on his clipboard. "There was a bit of complications. Being a first time mother and all with twins. She lost a lot of blood and passed out after the second child was born."

Red Hat's color drained from his face as he heard that. He hope the worst case didn't happen. "Is she fine? Nothing bad happened to her?" He asked as his blood ran cold.

"Right now, we have a couple more procedures to accomplish, but your wife is alive and stable."

"Can I see her?" Red Hat asked.

The doctor looked at him with a questionable look. "You can't come in just yet. We still have to stablize your wife and check if the newborns are doing okay with no complications. We also have to clean them up. It's going to take a while longer before we can't let you in."

Red Hat couldn't take it anymore. "I've been waiting for so long just to see if she's okay, but I still have to wait?"

The doctor sighed and shook his head at Red Hat's overreaction. "I'm sorry sir, but there's procedures everyone has to follow. We'll tell you when you can come when everything is said and done." As the doctor was about to leave. "You can't just come in willy nilly to see patients. Even if they are family of yours. You kids watch too many movies." He remarked and walked back to his duties.

Red Hat extended his arm, but gave in to the doctors orders. There was nothing he could do about it. He sat back down and slumped forward on his seat. Be sighed in relief knowing Blair and the twins would be okay, or so he believed for the time being. Though, he desperately wanted to see her. He had to wait a while longer before he can see her, much to his dismay.

'Rough time, isnt it?' asked Aussa as she reappeared with the other chamers next to him. Only Aussa was sitting down, corssed legged on the seat next to him. The rest were standing next to him.

"I want to see Blair so badly right now, but I can't until all the procdures are completed." He explained.

'Well it's true.' Aussa acknowlaged. 'The husband is usually not allowed to see the wife and spouse until long after she has a good rest and the babies rae cleaned up and look healthy. This was especially true in older times.'

'What gave you or your wife the idea you can always be there for her? Knowing full well you'll just be in the way.' Wynn asked with some curiosity.

"I don't have any idea..." He lied, trying to deflect the question.

'Don't tell us you and your wife actually believe that mushy stuff on TV. You of all people should know all that stuff is fake.' Lyna teased.

'Yet, why do you watch it then?' asked Dharc with an amused look. 'I even seen you cry when you watch those soap operas.'

'Oh, why do you have to keep teasing me like this, Dharc.' Lyna pouted as she crossed her arms.

"Alright, that's enough of that." Red Hat sighed. "What appears in media isn't reality. Actually, I never watch that stuff. Maybe Blair, but I certainly don't. What I just did was just an assumption."

'Just wait a while longer. You been doing fine for a while now. Don't stress yourself now.' Aussa acknowlaged.

"I'll try what I can. I just want to see them." He lowered his hat as he stood up and and stared out the window. He placed his palm on the window as he stared out and watched the sun slowly rise. He hoped that watching the sun rise would mean things wil be getting better. Despite that it has long since it stopped snowing. He could still feel the cold air at times. The spirits would leave him for now to leave him alone for a little while to clear up his thoughts.

What felt like an eternity, despite it being only another hour passing. The spirits would soon notify Red Hat once more about the current state of his wife. Once he saw that the spirits returned, he knew something was up.

'My lord, our lady is doing well. While she is currently resting, she is stable.' Lyla explained.

Red Hat sighed in relief. "She's alive and well. At least I know she's okay." As the sun slowly started to rise from the horizon. "Are the twins okay?"

'We've heard there was no complications. You'll find out soon enough.' Lumina pointed out.

"I see..." He turned back to stare at the horizon. "Thank you... and please don't call me lord. I understand why, but it's kind of awkward being called a lord."

The lightsworns chuckled at his statement. 'Our lady is married to you. Only make sense you are a lord.'

"I see..." He simply said, not even bothering to turn around. Once the spirits disappeared and Red Hat was left alone once more. It was only a matter of time before the Doctor showed up to his location again.

"Mr. Red Hat, we like to notify you that your wife is stable and there was no complications with your children." The doctor explained, looking through the many papers on his clipboard.

Red Hat knew some of the news, but he wanted to confirm everything was okay by the doctor. "I'm relived to hear that..." He hesitated to ask at first before finally asking. "Can I see my wife and kids?"

The doctor looked at him once he finished looking through his clipboard. "You may enter right now, but please try to be quiet. They are currently resting after the many examinations we done the past couple hours." He motioned Red Hat to follow him.

Red Hat followed the doctor through out the corridors and hallways of the hospital. He ignored all the noises and passing staff memebers passing. While he didn't actually know what to expect behind these walls. He knew it would not be a pleasent experience. He has heard many horror stories about some accidents that occur, but he knew such maters were very rare. He decided to pay no mind to them. All that mattered to him was he wanted to desperately see his wife now. What didn't help was the intense smells that came from this side of the hospital. Often it would reek of sickness, medicine, and other smells he could not put his finger on. But he kept on moving and fighting back the smells he encountered.

After a few minutes of tedious walking through many hallways and the occasional stairway. The doctor stopped at a paticular room. This was a give away that this is was where Blair was currently in. "As of right now, your wife is currently sleeping. Try not to distrub her or the new borns. I'll be back in a while to check up on you."

Red Hat nodded in agreement. "Thank you, Doctor." Once the Doctor opened the door, Red Hat entered the room. The Doctor slowly closed the door behind him, leaving him alone in the room.

As he walked in, he noticed Blair was currently sleeping in the hospital bed. She had a few wires attached to her which were connected to some monitors. One of those was monitoring her heart rate. As he looked around, he noticed there was a conveniently placed chair nearby, so he decided to take the chair and place nearby the hospital bed. He sat down on the chair and watched Blair's sleeping form. To think, she's been through so much she passed out giving birth to twins. He at was ease, knowing Blair and the twins where alive and well.

Not wanting to disturb her sleep or stare at her for so long. He stood up and opened the curtains on the far side, ever so slightly as to observe the outside. He noticed the sun just peaked out the mountains, despite still being covered by dense clouds. As he checked a nearby clock, it was currently six in the morning. Over ten hours he's been in this hospital. Not counting the occasional leave for some coffe, which did nothing to help out with his drowsiness. Despite that, he fought on and refused to sleep... not yet anyway.

As he sat back on his seat. Blair began to stir slightly. This caught Red Hat's attention. "My darling... is that you?" Blair moaned, still feeling exhausted from giving birth a couple hours ago.

"Blair my love... I'm glad you're okay..." He wanted to lean in and kiss her, but refrained from doing so in her weak state. "Blair... I'm sorry for all the pain I caused you..."

Blair lightly shook her head in disapproval. "No... don't apologize." Her voice was weak, but was showing signs of recovery. "You gave me something so precious, even if it caused me pain..."

"Blair?" He looked at her with a questionable look, until he realised there was two small bundles nearby, next to her. Both of them were currently sleeping. He slowly stood up from his chair.

"Our twins, my darling... A boy and a girl..." She pointed out.

Red Hat carefully took a look at the sleeping twins and approached them. Both of them were sleeping peacefully. The boy was wrapped in a blue bundle, while the girl was wrapped in a pink bundle. "Blair... they are precious..." He said in a whisper. The sight of their own flash and bood made his heart flutter. Something he never thought he'd feel in his life.

"Two wonderful children we made with our love..." Blair whispered.

"Our love prevailed, my dearest..." He whispered while grasped her hand softly.

Blair took a good look at him and her eyes widened when she noticed he was a nervous wreck. "My love, you look like a nervous wreck... What happened to you?"

Red Hat removed his hat and showed he was indeed a mess and looked very much tired. "I didn't sleep at all. I even put up with drinking coffee to stay awake for a couple of hours, only I eventually got fed up and just stayed awake the entire time." He explained. "I refused to rest until I knew that you were okay. Was even having horrible thoughts that maybe... the worst case scenario happened. It's why I look like such a mess. I'm glad that scenario didn't happen."

Blair couldn't believe what she heard. Not only was he such a wreck, but he was terrified at the thought of losing her. To think she of all people would have such an effect on him. He refused to sleep or rest, he had a messy look, and it showed he was terrified at the thought of losing her. She never thought she'd see him in such a vulnerable state. Even when he was injured or down, he would always get back up, put a tough act, or act indifferent. Right now, he was genuenly concerned and worried. So worried, he looked like he was on the verge of breaking down.

"My dear... I'll never leave your side..." Blair then tightly grasped his hand. "I promised I'd stay by your side, you promised to stay by my side. You always kept your promises. You were worried, and you wanted to stay with me, even after I cursed your name when I was giving birth. You came for me and the twins... that was enough..." Blair gave him a smile before she slowly closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

"Blair?" He called out, only for her to shush him.

"Rest my darling... It's not healthy to be so worried and restless... Please rest, even if it means you refuse to leave this room..." She pleaded while in her sleep.

"I don't plan on leaving you. I'm not leaving this room until we're able to leave the hospital." He sat back down on his seet and put his hat back on, while watching his family rest. Soon he would drift to sleep on the chair.

Blair noticed this and couldn't help but giggle. 'You're still very crazy... Still, thank you for staying by my side...' She soon followed suit and went back to sleep.

As they slept the morning away and hours passed by them. They would soon be awakened by the twins who began to cry. This immediately woke Blair and Red Hat up. Red hat was amazed at just how loud a baby's cry actually was, if it was able to wake him up. even though he was woken up by the twins, he had no clue how to calm them down.

Blair took one of the twins, which was the boy into her arms and gentle rocked him back and forth. "Darling, why don't you hold the girl and try to calm her down?"

Red Hat hesitated on even considering taking one of the twins, let alone actually holding them. He feared holding them, thinking he would drop them. He gently picked up his newborn daughter, who was still crying. He gently began to rock his daughter back and forth in a vain attempt to calm her down. "There there... daddy is here..." He said more as a whisper.

Blair attempted to calm her newborn son down, but to no avail. As soon as her son latched on to her. She blushed and realized what the newborn actually wanted. "Um... I think I know what they want." She said with embarrassment, still blushing at the implications. She pulled the left side of her sleeve down and exposed her left breast. She pulled her newborn son close to her breast and it soon latched on it. As her son began to suckle, Blair couldn't help but let out a small moan.

"They must be hungry... Mmm, it feels very awkward feeding them like this..." Blair said still blushing. Being a first time mother was a new experience to her. All of this was so new to her. She honestly felt a little embarrassed at the thought of feeding her kids like this. At least, right now until she would get used to the feeling.

Red Hat turned away with a slight flush on his cheeks, which he tried to hide with his hat. All the while, still trying to calm his newborn daughter down. "I'll look away until you finished feeding him, then I'll hand you our daughter..."

Blair nodded. "Thank you, darling..."

After many awkward moments between the young couple occured. The newborn Blair was feeding would soon finish up and latched off from her left breast. Blair, still flustered, gently put her son down on her hospital bed. She pulled up her sleeve, while Red Hat handed over their still crying daughter. Blair took hold of her, as Red Hat picked up his son and gently places him back where he was originally placed.

Blair then pulled her right sleeve off and exposed her right breast, which her newborn daughter soon latched on and began to suckle. Despite already feeding her son, the sensation hasn't gotten any easier and still felt very awkward. Feeding one baby was hard enough, but twins? That would be twice the feeding she would have to do on a regular basis. Didn't help the fact that the young couple were new to this and being incredibly inexperienced on this matter.

'How do we expect to get used to this?' She thought, holding back a moan while feeding her daughter.

Red Hat did his best to not stare at her. While he wanted to observe his wife feeding his own children. He knew it was embarrassing for her already trying to feed the twins for the first time. Let alone the added stare from him, which would only embarrass her more. "Blair... last night... It began to snow..."

Blair looked at him while still feeding their daughter. "Snow? Last night? It actually snowed? I know it was very cold last night, but to think it would actually snow..."

"It snowed alright... I was unsure if it was a bad omen or was a blessing..." He glanced at her before turning away. "Turns out... it was a blessing..." He took a look out the window and noticed small piles of snow around the area While it stopped snowing for some time now. He could still hear the breeze from outside. "Blair... if it comes to that. If it's still too cold outside. I'll hurry back to the house and obtain very warm clothes for all of you."

"Ah, thank you my darling..." She said, still feeding their daughter. "If possile, try to buy new clothes for our newborns..."

"I'll do my best to obtain everything I can for the twins, and for you my dearest." He promised.

"You're trying so hard. I appreciate everything you're doing with for us." Soon their daughter latched off from Blair's right breast, signaling she finished eating. Blair blushed and pulled her right sleeve back on. Once she was finsihed, Red Hat took her daughter and place her where the twin brother was sleeping.

"They are precious, aren't they Blair?" Red Hat softly said.

"They sure are. Our precious twins..." Blair agreed.

It wouldn't be long before the twins once again began to cry once more. Red Hat gave Blair his son, while he took hold of his daughter. As he tried and failed to calm her down, Blair soon had an idea as she was rocking her son back and forth gently. Red Hat doing the same with his daughter.

"My dearest, please sit down with our daughter." She requested.

"Why though?" He asked, still clumsily rocking his daughter back and forth to calm her down.

"There's something that may sooth them. A sooth song to calm them down."

"Think that would work?" He doubted.

Blair nodded. "It's worth a shot. Besides it's a song I once sang when I was very young."

Red Hat raised an eye brow. "Really now? Then let's here it then, my dear."

Blair smiled and took a deep breath. As she calmed her nerves, she began to sing.

'Morning Sun, it shines so very bright It fills my room with light to start my day!'

'Who'll be mad, my prince will come to me So happy we will be we'll ride away!'

Red Hat eyes widened as he heard her sing that song. If he didn't know any better. That song Blair was singing truely represented each other. While Red Hat was being mezmorized by her singing, he didn't noticed the twins were slowly calming down.

'Then one early morning I woke up And from things around me werent the same Then I noticed everything had changed outside my window that day!'

'I started listening to the singing birds And I had noticed they had changed their tune Singing lovely in a chorus there saying lucky princess are you!'

Red Hat took a look at the window and noticed the sun trying to peak out from the dense clouds. He couldn't tell if this was a good sign or not, but he didn't care.

'Oh Cupid dear, up in the sky! I see you there, please tell me why~'

'Wont you shoot an arrow through my prince's heart for me!'

Red Hat smiled at the implicaions. He understood what that meant. If anything, Blair charmed him. The love theme always worked wonders for her.

'Happy Day, he's opening the door! My prince is there to welcome me inside!'

'We're riding to this castle on the hill! We're happily will live for all our life!'

Red Hat walked up to the bed and gave Blair a deep kiss, while holding his now sleeping daughter. Blair return the kiss while also holding her now sleeping son. As they broke apart, they gently place the twins back where they were.

"Blair... that song you used to sing when you were young?" He asked softly.

Blair nodded. "I would sing it from time to time. It's been so long since I've actually sung it."

"If I didn't know any better. This was taken from fairy tales. Even back then, you wanted to find your prince charming huh?"

"I want to find my prince, even if it meant going through so much effort just to find him and hoping he would accept me." Blair closed her eyes and clasp her hands together. "At first I thought it would be Zane, then I thought it was Jaden, However, I never realised my true prince was the same man that found out my identity back at the Academy. I also never thought my prince would be so cold until you calmed down because of my influence."

"Times have changed since those days." He said while smiling. "You changed me, I releazed I fell in love with you, because of who you are and your firey personality."

Blair lightly giggled. "You can quite the charmer if you try. You know that, right?"

"Maybe..." He gave her a soft kiss on her lips. As he pulled away and sat back down. Soon, one of the doctors came inside.

"Am I interrupting something." The doctor asked sternly.

Red Hat shook his head. "No sir, we finished a while ago." He hid his blush with his hat. "And we'll... I'm glad Blair is healthy and well."

"Very well. We still have many more test to conduct. In the meanwhile you should step out for a while. You also have some documents to fill out." The doctor explained.

"I understand, sir." As Red Hat was about to leave. "Before I leave, when can I actually visit my wife?"

The doctor took a look at his clipboard. "You will be allowed to visit her around the evening and late night. By tonight we got some paper work to conduct."

Red Hat nodded. "I'll keep that in mind." He then left the the room and began to walk away from the hospital.

Red Hat walked along the city in order to get to one of the many shops and malls in Domino City. Occasionally he rubbed his arms from the cold winds. While it snowed last night. He could still feel the chills through his jacket. He realized, if he could feel the cold even while wearing his usual red jacket. That would mean, Blair and his children would be totally vulnerable with this kind of weather.

'I need to buy all of them some warm clothes. The ones Blair has at home is not enough. Not to mention, the twins need extra fabric for protection.' He thought as he continued to walk around the city

After walking around the city for a little longer, crossing his arms to keep himself warm. It will take a while longer before he entered one of Domino City's malls. He felt a bit warmer now that he was inside one of the buildings. He began to wonder around the mall to find a proper shop to buy clothes and fabrics for his family. Despite his current goal to get clothes, his stomach began growling. He roamed around to find any sort of food court to fill his hunger for a little while.

As he looked around at any possible food courts. He found a paticular food court that sold all the usual foods he would normally eat in any circumstance. While he prefered Blair's cooking, he didn't mind eating food from any resturant or shops. Doesn't help that his cooking skills are still average at best.

Once he found a food court in the far end of the mall. Despite his growing hunger, he just decided to order some simple sushi from one of the many food shops nearby. Once he recived his oder, he began to eat as quickly as he could, earning some questionable looks from other people also eating there. He glared at them, making the onlookers look away in fear. Red Hat sighed at all the nonsense that has been happening. Despite being a pro duelist, he went out of his way to make sure his status was kept secret from everyone around him. It was true what he thought about long ago. He no longer wanted to prove to everyone he was the best of the best. He just wanted to be left alone. Although, that didn't stop him from having unrealistic expecations.

'I bring all problems to myself. Why else does trouble always follow, even when I do my best to avoid trouble?' He thought with distain as he continued to eat in silence. Doing his best to not glance at the crowd around him. The less attention he brought onto himself, the better.

When finished up his 'breakfast' and threw away his trash at a nearby trash can. He then continued to roam around the mall until he found a clothing store. While he was able to find one. It was filled with people shopping around. It made sense, since it was a cold winter this time around.

He looked around the section for children and for women. Looking for the appropriate clothes for his family. He looked around for sweaters, scarfs, baby clothes, and other miscellaneous goods for his newborns. He did his best to ignore all the stares he was getting for even being here. Why is him being here and shopping for things he techincally needed considered something questionabe? Was it just because he's shopping for woman's clothing? He was techincally here before with Blair before, why was this a problem now that he was here alone. Was it because he's shopping for baby clothes and material? Maybe it was questionable, but he still didn't understand why. He ignored the whispering from everyone and continue shopping for what he needed.

Once he paid for all the clothes and materials he needed, he quickly left the shop and immediately started to run as far away from the mall as possible. He panted and made his way to the nearby park, despite it being covered in light snow. As he stood nearby the same tree to catch his breath, the same tree he is prone to going to when ever he came to the park. As he was about to leave, his was interrupted by a few voices.

"Hey, is that him?" A young girl's voice questioned.

"It must be him. He the only person that's known to wear a red cap." A young boy's voice acknowledged.

"Can it be him, though?' Another young boy voice questioned.

"It has to be him." A different young girl's voice said.

Red Hat turned around and behind him were a a small group of children, all dressed for the winter. Two girls and two boys. One of the girls had deep blue hair tied neatly into a ponytail and wore round glasses around her green eyes. The other girl had short pink hair with a hair ban that had two buns on each side, which resembled ears. She had light grey eyes. One of the boys had dark brown hair and the other boy had a light shade of purple hair. Both of them had brown eyes. Red Hat raised a eyebrow at what these group of kids even want.

"Can I help you four?" He asked the group.

"We've been hearing a lot about a mysterious pro, who always wears a red cap." The blue haired girl wondered. "We want to know if that's you"

"Who want's to know?" He said that more as a statement.

The pink haired girl spoke up. "Where's our manners. My name is Mai Zenba or just Mai. This is our small group of friends."

"My name is Makiko, or as some people call me, Merlin." The blue haired girl introduced herself.

The purple haied boy speaks up. "My name is Mamoru, and he his name is Shuji." The other boy named Shuji, waves lightly at Red Hat.

"We'll, nice to meet you kids." He then gave them a soft, but stern look. "Sorry, but if it's not to much trouble. I have to get going now."

Merlin looks at him with a disappointed expresion. "Aren't you that pro that wears the red hat?"

"You must be him. That red cap is too hard not notice. You stick out like a sore thumb." Mai chimed in.

"No one around here wears such a unique red cap like that." Shuji added.

Red Hat sighed, but kept a soft look. "Look, I don't like giving myself away to anyone, okay."

Merlin tilt her head in confusion. "Eh? Why is that? Aren't you a famous pro? Most pros like all attention they get."

"There was a time I wanted to be the best and most famous pro. I don't want that anymore." He lowered his hat. "Don't get me wrong, I'm still one of the best pro duelist out there. It's just my priorities have changed now. I want to support my family." Red Hat had no idea why he was explaining himself to a bunch of random kids. If he could, he would just run off and ignore them all together. Instead of being rude, he decided to take the time to explain himself.

"Oh, so you duel at the pros to support your family? Now I understand!" Mai replied.

"Never thought a pro duelist would be helping his family. Most pros don't tend to say they have a family to help out." Mamoru noted.

"Guess you can say that." Red Hat affirmed. "Listen kids, I have things to do, so I'll be on my way."

"Wait! Don't go!" Mai pleaded. Soon the group of kids took out a couple of magazines, each of them handing it out to him. "Can you please sigh our magazines?"

"Why would you kids have those? Let alone up to date on top duelists at the pro leagues?" Red Hat questioned.

Shuji sweat dropped at his questioned. "We get to meet a pro duelist. A duelist that almost never shows up anywhere and never get's interviewed. This is a once in a life time opportunity!"

"You realize magazines like those go out of date every few weeks or months right?" Red Hat pointed out.

"We don't care! Just being signed by a famous pro duelist is already a great honor. Let alone meeting one out in the open!" Mai insisted as she handed her current magazine.

Red Hat chuckled at their enthusiasm. "Alright alright, calm down now." Red Hat took each magazine from the kids, one at a time. He clumsily signed each one of their magaizines with his signiture, since he never done something like this. As he finished up and handed back their magazines.

The kids smiled as Red Hat handed back their now signed magazines. "Thank you, Mr. Red Hat!" They thanked.

"Alright, now be careful out there kids!" He pointed out.

"We will, we hope we can meet again!" Mai said as the small group soon leave the park.

Red Hat waved at them ad somehat smiled. To think he would have any sort of fans, let alone young kids. He always made sure to never attend parties or interviews from anyone. All he cared about was leaving the areas he always was in and ran off. If this was him from years back when he was still stuck in his old ways. He wouldn't have mind attending said parties and interviews if it meant he was acknowledged as the best of the best duelist. It wasn't until late in his third year of duel academy and making a promise to Blair that he no longer cared about his old goals and motivations. Now, all he cared about was protecting the one he loves and his new family. He momentarily closed his eyes and smiled at that thought. He wouldn't have it any other way. Even if it meant he had to keep everything secretive.

As he looked around, he collected his things and quickly left the park and began running back to his home. When he got there, he entered his bedroom and checked his closest for any clothes to bring. He picked the clothes he knew would Blair would love to wear. He grabbed his backpack and placed as many clothes as he could inside it and zipped it. Once he got everything he needed. He left his home and made sure to lock everything down until he returned home with his new family.

Despite walking all the way back to the hospital, and all the things he's been doing. Several hours have passed by since he left the hospital. Has it really been that long? Did he wake up late when he was in the hospital? He lost track of time after he took a nap at the hospital. While fighting back his drowsiness, he pushed forward. He'd worry about his lack of rest later. For now, what matter was to get the necessarry supplies for his family and stay by their side as much as he can.

'I didn't bring nearly as much as I thought. This would be enought for Blair to have some winter clothes while she rests up in that hopital.' He thought as he kept on walking to the hospital's location.

It took him longer then he expected, but he made it back to the hospital. When he took a look back out, it was already the getting relativily late. Even though it was late into the mid day. It would already be late for him and will get dark soon, since it was the winter season. He didn't bother checking up with the receptionist, instead he just went all the way back to where Blair's hosptial room was, while carrying everything he had on him.

He entered the room and noticed Blair was just finished feeding the twins again. He knew the last time they fed relativily early in the morning. While he didn't know when they twins would be asking for food. That's just something they would both have to figure out.

Blair took noticed that her husband has returned. "Hello darling. How was your shopping trip today?"

Red Hat sighed and placed his things nearby her hopital bed. "It was somewhat stressful to say the least."

Blair gave him a questionable look. "Stressful? It was just shopping? How can it be stressful?"

"It's not the shopping itself that was stressfull." He clarified. "It was having to ignore the stares and muttering from a bunch of people."

"You never cared about what people say about you before, so why now all of a sudden are you feeling so concious?"

Red Hat took a seat and sat right next to her and the newborn twins. "I'm more worried about what they would say to you." He said as he removed his hat. "Think about it, a somewhat well known pro duelist like myself, never going to any conventions, parties and never taking any sort of sponsor. If word get's out that to the public that not only I'm married, but also now is starting a family. Both of us would be harrassed by reporters and crazy fans. It's not a fate I want our family to go through. It's why I'm trying so hard to maintain my staus and family a secret. It's why I chose to have a house in the far outskirts beyond the city."

"Darling... I never knew you thought about this, that far..." She replied looking away. "You're scared that we won't be accepted by society if they found out about us..."

"Not just that... I keep everything secret to protect you, to proect our new twins. I'm taking extra precautions to make sure our family stays secretive. Regardless of my status. We have no one, but each other. It's why I'm trying so hard now." Red Hat closed his eyes. "I made many mistake before. Many I may never be able to fix, but I don't want my family to suffer because of my past mistakes. A while back, I met a few kids that knew me as just as a pro duelisit. They asked some questioned which I didn't say much about. They also asked me for an autograph. While I did so, something I want to avoid is having our kids put up with so many people who know about my status. Those that only care about you cause of your status and nothing more. "

Blair looked at him with a soft look. "I understand... Even when I was young, I made mistakes myself. Other then a small fraction, no one would accept me either, even when I did my best to not snap at them unless it was warranted. We never did have man friends now did we?" Blair then took a her sleeping newborns. "You been thinking about how your status will effect the children. It's why you're trying so hard to keep everything a secret. If they found out, then you assume, they will use our children for their own benefits."

"You can say that." He agreed. He then took a look at the twins. "We still havent given them a name yet."

Blair snapped out of her thoughts and smiled. "That's right, we never did give them a name. Have you thought of one?"

He nodded. "I've been thinking on for a while now." He go close to the twins. "Our son... he'll be named Shaoran. Our daughter will be named Lyna."

"I actualy like those names." She agreed. Red Hat handed her, her son. While he took his daughter. "Here that little one. Your name is Shaoran."

Red Hat smiled at his daughter. "Your name is Lyna, our sweet daughter."

As they were bonding with their twins. The familiar spirits soon reappeared around them. 'Congratulations to the both of you. It's always such a sight to see parents bond with their children.' Aussa observed.

'Ooo, you even named your daughter after me! Ahh, that's so cute!' Lyna the Light Charmer squealed.

'Calm down, Lyna.' Dharc sweat dropped at her excitment. 'It's not that amazing. Humans name their children after people, ojects, and families all the time.'

'Still, this is quite acomplisment for them. They are also planning ahead for their future.' Wynn noted.

'I wish them the best of luck. If possible we can help them out if they are ever feeling down.' Eria acknowledged.

'Never thought I'd be a part of this with you all, but this should be interesting.' Hiita said.

'We'll always be here to support our lord and lady.' The many lightsworns agreed. Ryko merly barked and wagged it's tail in approval.

As they all gather around, each splitting up to be with their respecting user. One of the twins, the girl woke up from her slumber. What they were surprised by was that she wasn't crying. Instead she looked around as much as she could. She then stared at Aussa and tried to reach out for her. This caught the spirits be surprise.

'She can actually see me? As a new born no less...' Aussa's eyes widened.

'This is truely a surprise. Someone who is just a few hours born can see duel spirits?' Wynn questioned, equally shocked.

'No way! A baby this young can see spirits? This is truely something else.' Hiita said, also surprised.

'Something tells me, she's going to be great friends with many spirits.' Dharc said with a smile.

'Aww, that's so cute. That means, we really are family with them.' The light charmer said with a blush.

'Techincally, we are family. All thanks to him and all of us.' Dharc pointed out.

The young couple took in everything the spirits we're just talking about. Their daughter, who isn't even a day old yet can already see spirts? Even if it was just for a fraction of a few seconds. Does this mean their family would be able to see and hear duel spirits? If so, then they were glad they are passing said trait down. Although, that also means they would have to be more careful when out in the open alone.

"I never would have guessed, our children would be able to see spirits so young." Blair acknowledged.

"Guess this is a thing now for our family." Red Hat replied.

As they all continued to bond together. One of the Doctors came inside the room. "Mr. Red Hat, find if you come with me. We got some documents you have to check and sign."

Red Hat put his hat back on and nodded at the doctor. He then place his daughter back where she was, still sleeping peacefully. "I'm on it." He glanced at his wife. "I'll be back as soon as I can."

"No problem, just don't take to long." Blair replied with a smile.

Red Hat follows the doctor until he reaches his office just nearby the lobby. As he entered the office and took his seat. The doctor gave him many documents. Many of those documents were related to both his wife and his newborn twins. Many of these documents were indeed health records for the both of them. Other documents included registration for the twins, including their names. Despite not being used to so many documents, let alone registration. He pushed through and continued. As he finished all the document work, he handed them back to the Doctor. The Doctor looked through the documents and lightly nodded in approval. Until he reached two paticular documents and raised an eye brow.

"The name of your twins. Why Flannigan, your wife's maiden name? Wouldn't it make more sense to use your sir name?" The doctor questioned.

"I have long since abandoned my real name. It's why I'm always known as 'The Red Hat'" He explained. "Even if I didn't abandon my real name. I wouldn't give my children my sir name. It's a precaution more then anything. My status would someday will cause problems for my childre's future. It's why I'm trying so hard to keep everything about myself secret."

The doctor sweat dropped at his explaination. "You didn't have to tell me your future plans on why you're doing this. I just wanted to know, why you'd use your wife's maiden name."

Red Hat rubs the back of his head in embarrassment. "Sorry, got carried away."

"In any case." The doctor collects the documents and soon hands him more. "You'll be reciving copies of these. Your children's birth certificate is for you to keep."

"Thank you, Doctor." He replied as he took the documents.

After he collected many documents and spending time at the main lobby to get everything ready. He placed all of his documets inside a folder he carried around. While he didn't have a proper way to put away his documents. He had to make due with what he had for the time being.

Once he made his way back to Blair's hospital room. He entered and noticed Blair was currently feeding both twins, one at a time. The spirits were watching over them. He smiled, knowing that if he was gone for even a short while. The spirits will be there to watch them over, especially if trouble would occur at some point n time. He hoped it didn't come to that.

"Blair, I'm back..." He called out.

Blair looked at him and smiled. "Oh? Did you do everything the Doctor told you?"

"I sure have. Here's even their birth cirtificates." He said as he handed them over.

As the final twin stopped feeding and Blair placed them back in their spot. She took a good look at the birth raised an eye brow when she looked at the names. "You used my maiden name? I know you don't like your original name, but why use my maiden name?"

Red Hat took and put away the documents. "Even if I did keep my original name. I don't want people to know my children are tied to me. It's more for their protection."

"Just what do you mean by that?" Blair asked, not understanding what he means.

"When those kids a while asked a few things. That's when I knew, I can't allow our kids to be found outthat their father is a famous pro. Then many kids would only hang around them only because of my status. I also don't want them to grow up with such a mentality either." He then closed his eyes. "Those two... not having any friends, or people pretending to be their friends. If something would hapen to me or if I someday retire. They would gladly turn their backs on them. It's never a good feeling, thinking you have friends or fans, only to turn their backs on you the moment you aren't needed or aren't valuable anymore. I don't want our kids to experience that. Not everyone will be as friendly as Jaden Yuki. Also..." He took her hand and held it tightly. "If they find out their father is a famous pro, they will be held accountable to a much higher expectation. It's why I'm taking so many precautions. I don't want them to go through with that, no matter what I may have said in the past..." He looked away, ashamed to even face her.

"Oh darling..." Blair wrapped her arms around his neck. "I understand now. You're afraid of a similar thing happen to others we once known." She glanced at her children. "Unrealistic expectations, people only caring about you because of your status, having no friends, being taken advantage of. being abandoned when you're no longer useful, and the fans and crowed turning on you once you no longer meet their expectations."

"No matter what happens, my dearest..." He then hugs her close. "We'll always be there for them."

"And we won't be seltering them either." Blair added. "We'll be raising them and taking them to know places. We'll make sure they experience as much as they can, so they don't make the same mistakes we did."

"Unless we are put into a corner. Then let's consider home schooling them." He said.

Blair shook her head in response. "Let's save that as a last resort, my darling."

"Sure thing. Let's hope it doesn't come to that."

The young couple held each other for quite sometime before they finally pulled away. Red Hat would stay in the room for a long time. Even offering to help Blair feed the twins when they were hungry or if they needed attention. He was glad the spirits also helped them out. If mostly indirectly. What he didn't appreicate was them constantly teasing them. Mostly directed at him.

While it would take about a week of being in the hospital, before Blair was finally released. In that time, Red Hat not only obtained many more supplies for both their twins, and also bought supplies for themselves. During that time, Red Hat took it upon himself to do some more pro dueling at the nearby Kaiba Dome, while doing his best to avoid attention as much as possible. Any money that was earned he made sure to spend carefully on what was needed, while selling prize cards he didn't need.

Once Blair was finally released from the hospital, fully dressed in her winter clothes. They walked back home together, both carrying one of the twins. Red Hat held his daughter, while Blair held her son. Both twins were covered in warm blankets and warm clothing. Despite Blair being released mid afternoon, it was still the winter season and there was stil cold winds. The cold was something they didn't mind, but with twins they had to be careful.

Red Hat walked happily, knowing that Blair was back on his side. This time, he came back with his twins. He couldn't be more proud to sire such children with the very woman he loves. Never would he thought he'd e a father, but now he was. Now, he had to take his responsibilities more seriously. He and Blair weren't teenagers anymore. They are full grown adults, with children to raise in this new world. They had actual lives now, with real jos. In Blairs case, being a house wife. They can't take things lightly anymore. The world was harsh and cruel, they had to be ready as much as they could. This made Red Hat think back to something he didnt think about again until today.

'Dry your eyes, save all the tears that you've cried. That's what dreams are made of... We belong in a world that must be strong...' He momentarily closed his eyes and smiled. He now fully understood what that meant. 'In the end, on dereams wil depend. Cause that's what love is made of...'

"You're smiling, darling." Blair noticed, smiling herself. "Something on your mind?"

"It's nothing special. It's more remembering a certain part of a song."

"A part of a song?" Blair questioned. "Does it really mean that much?"

"Depends on how you look at it. It's a song my father gave me as a memento way back when I was still in my academy years." He looked forward, trying to hide his grin, but failed miserably as Blair caught it. "I haven't thought about that song in years, until today that is. That's what the old man meant when he gave me that song in paticular. It had a deeper meaning that I wasn't seeing."

"Will you let me hear that song someday? Sounds like a good song. Although..." Blair gave him a cheeky grin. "I think I know the song you're talking about. It wouldn't happen to be the same song you played for me at the academy that one and only time, is it?"

"That's for you to figure out, until I show you." He said, grinning back at her.

"Oh you, I'll find out soon." She then came close to his right side. "If it so happened to be that same song then..." She then had a thought. "I'll tell you some other time."

Red Hat chuckled. "You're quite the tease aren't you?"

"You know it, darling."

After a bit of flirting between two parties. They both continued their walk back home. The spirits were tagging along. Mostly keeping an eye on them, while causing the occasional mischief.

When they reached their home, Red Hat unlocked the door and entered their home. Despite looking no different since Blair last left it. It still had some work to be done. They reached the master bedroom. There, Blair noticed a crib that was just big enough to fit both twins nearby their bed. She had no idea when Red Ha ahd the time to be able to place such a thing inside their room, but she was greatful none the less.

"You even bought a crib and broght it inside our room?" Blair asked. "That couldn't have been wasy without help."

"I had a bit of help from the delivery people. Other then that, was able to obtain everything we'll be needing for the twins." He explained.

"You had this planned from the start?" Blair questioned as she placed her son on the crib.

"I wouldn't call it planned. Rather, it was more so the twins can have a bed to sleep in." Red Hat corrected as he placed his daughter on the crib.

"Make sense doesn't it." Blair repeated.

"Sure does." He said as he layed down on the bed.

Blair saw this and scowled at him. "Nuh uh, mister. Not this time." She pulls him back up on his feet. "This house may look clean, but we still have house work to do while I was gone."

Red Hat lightly sighed. "Are you going to start acting like a nagging house wife now?"

Blair wagged her finger at him. "Help me out with taking care of the children and hepl me do house work, then I won't have to nag you. Not get up, lazy bones."

"Alright, alright..." Red Hat get's up as requested. "I was serious though. I'll be raising our kids, along with you. I want to spend as much time with my family."

Blair eased up and gave him a warm smile. "See? That wasn't so hard, wasn't it? Come on, the sooner we finish up, the sooner we can rest up. Even if the twins wake up."

"Alright let's do this." Red Hat and Blair leave the the master bedroom, but leaving the door open. They took one last glance at them, before finally leaving the room. 'I know we'll have sleepless nights soon. Still, that's just means, I'll have something else to get used to.'

It was at this time. Red Hat was truely proud of his new family. While he and Blair won't always be getting along. As he just witnessed right now. He would do his very best to help and raise his family. Blair agreed to be a house wife and stay home, while occasonally heading to local tournaments to show off her dueling ability.

It was then and now, their new lives have only begun.

A/N: This took a lot longer then expected. Normally I don't care about trying to be realistic, but in this spefific scenario, I tried my best with limited knowledge I had on this matter. So many fanfics that involves child birth always uses the same cliche that the father is always by his wife's side giving birth. Where in reality, you actually can not do that. You'll just be in the way. Same applies for twins (regardless if ferternal or identical twins). Many have them give birth almost immediately, but in reality it takes about an hour or longer for the second twin to come out.

Again, this isn't meant to be actually accurate to what happens realistically. This was just because I'm not a huge fan of that trope people are prone to using. If anyone else does it, that's perfectly fine. Keep in mind, this is coming off from my limited experiences. So take what's written with a grain of salt.

Later chapters just as a heads up when the time comes. Yes the family will be able to see spirits and somewhat interact with them. Much like JAden ad Jesse.

Anyway, this fanfic will be on hiatus once again. I want to continue my other fanfic I have temporarily placed on hold until I updated this fic at least a few times. Until next time everyone. I hope you enjoyed.
