"Is there anything else you want to mark?" Akiza's lovely voice rang in the room.

The girls were currently in Luna's room. The twins had started presenting today so the group, sans Crow, were there to help them with the transition.

"Nope." She looked around the room. She had marked her bed and Kuribon plushy. She didn't seem to have much she wanted to mark.

"It is important to mark your territory, so others know the space belong to an alpha." Akiza explains.

"Including mates as well?" Luna inquired. Akiza nodded. "Is it the same for omega's?"

"They make nests. It is important to know that you should never go near a nest without permission. It could cause problems and sometime escalates into violence as they try to protect their nest." Akiza says. "Have you thought about what to give Leo. I gave him my glove."

Akiza wave her gloveless hand.

"That explains why he kept trying to take my Kuribon plushy." She held her doll close. "I will give him one of my shirts. Is that okay?"

"Yep. Let's look through your closet."

Luna didn't seem enthusiastic about the whole ordeal. Instead the young alpha moved to sit on her bed. Akiza sat next to her and placed a hand over Luna's. She wants to help and be a good point of reference for Luna.

"Are things gonna be different now?" Luna asked.

"Different how?"

"Can I stay friends with Patty and Dex. They are omegas. And I heard that Alpha and omega can't be friends." Luna says.

"That is just schoolyard nonsense Luna. You can stay friends with your group." Akiza reassured her.

"I just don't want to lose them…."

"What made you think you were gonna lose them?"

"Just stuff I hear in school…. I'm gonna text them the good news."

On the omega side of things, Leo was practically throwing any and everything into his nest. Omegas needed a familiar scent, or they could become borderline inconsolable if there was none at all when they needed it. Yusei and Jack brought some accessories for Leo to keep. "What do you think?"

"Be a little bit more organized Leo." Jack said.

"Hey, why isn't Crow here?" Leo asked.

"Crow thought it was best for him not to come. He can erase scents. So him coming here to a newly presented omega's nest could result in confusion." Yusei explained.

"Confusion how? Did he at least bring something for me to add?" Leo wondered.

"No." It was Jack who answered with a forlorn look in his eyes. "Crow's object will have no scent and you instincts will consider it a foreign object. Making you want to toss it out. Not to mention it could get on other object and erase the smell from them…."

Jack had remembered how he threw out on of Crow items from his makeshift nest back at their Team Satisfaction hideout. Jack was cleaning out his nest and found Crow's headband. It had no scent and Jack had tossed it out calling it garbage. He heard a choked breath from behind and saw Crow standing there. It took way too long for Jack to piece together what he had just done. He remembered the look of absolute hurt and betrayal that Crow had on his face. It broke Jack's heart. The ginger looked as if Jack had murdered him in cold blood. Things were awful after that. Crow had ran away from him as if Jack actually wanted to kill him. Crow had disappeared for a week after that. No signs of life anywhere. Jack had taken all of Crow's stuff and put it his nest with no regards to anything else in it. Omega instinct be damned.

It didn't get better when Crow came back. Acting like this was his fault and he should have been more understanding as he knew the consequences. This pissed Jack off, but he couldn't figure out how to voice his anger. Crow also had the 'good' idea of trying to take back the stuff he had given from the nests. Of course Yusei and Kiryu were not having that. Ever since then, Crow had been the only one Jack let's into his nest(s) freely without permission. He hated recalling this memory. It was his worst memory.

"There was no telling how you two would react to having your scents erased, so we all thought this was a safer option." Yusei grabbed Jack's hand bring him back from the memory he knew the blond was recollecting.

At the same time, back at Poppo Time Crow got a call from Martha about one of the kids.

Hikari had presented as a beta. The nine-year-old child had found out she was a beta and locked herself in her room. She refused to come out. Martha was hoping Crow could talk to her and help.

When Crow arrived at the orphanage, he quickly made he was to the room Hikari holed herself in. He steeled himself as he could guess what some of her worries are. He twisted the doorknob to signal he was there. "Hikari, it's me. Big Brother Crow! Can I come in."

"Go away!"

That hurt. She had never said something like that before.

"Okay. We can talk about it later when you are feeling better. I'll be here all day."

No answer.

It was best to let her talk when she is ready. He went to the kitchen where Martha was sitting at the table.

"No luck," she said.

"We will have to wait." Crow shook his head. "What happened."

"I was marking the kids with my pheromones' and realized that she was not being marked. I also couldn't smell her either. She stopped having a smell." Martha told the story. As he listened Crow's face grew nostalgic.

"Just like me." He and Martha shared a chuckle. Both of their expressions grew sour when they recalled what happened next.

"I had to tell you to stay away from the other kids." As she remembered a young Crow bawling his eyes out in her arms, Martha realized that not being able to coat Hikari put her in danger. Martha's paternal alpha scent wared off others. It also made it easier for her and Blister to track them down.

"I can't have her near the other kids anymore. I don't want her to neutralize my scent from them."

At that moment, the duo heard the receding footsteps of said child.

""Hikari!""

Crow shot out of his seat to chase after the girl.

The young beta knew she could not outrun her older brother. With a well time swing of the nearest door, she surprised Crow with a hit to the face. Her older brother was seeing stars as he lost consciousness. Hikari made her escape.

Martha rounded up the kids, knowing they would jump into action to find their sister.

Crow woke up with a throbbing headache.

"Don't' move too much." Martha said as she replaced the wet cloth.

"Hikari!" Crow shot up which only served exasperate the throbbing.

"Did you not hear me?"

"I need to find Hikari." Crow shoved the piece of fabric into Martha's hand as he got out of bed.

"I have Blister out looking for her." She attempted to stop Crow.

"How long was I conked out for?" Crow asked.

"About two hours."

"Damn!"

Crow was out of the orphanage in a flash. If sector security wanted to clock him for speeding, he would just have to duel his way out of trouble.
