And I'm back! I hope you all are having a great year, mine has been okay so far. With the first book I used to update it every week, but now I'm not sure I can update it every week, it might take me a week, two weeks or even a month to do it but! I will update this story, do not worry. As always, I would like to read your comments and know if you're liking this story.

—Dad, I'm trying to enjoy my breakfast, can't you wait to use Legilimency until, you know, I finish eating?

—No.

Just two weeks had passed since vacations had started and my dad couldn't stop trying to enter my mind, although, the truth is that I'm getting better at keeping him out of my mind quicker than before, but I still wanted to enjoy my cereal without being interrupted.

Luckily, something hitting the window made my dad stop, he got up from his seat and opened the window in the kitchen to see what had hit it; I couldn't help but smile when I saw that it was Errol.

—Oh, that's Errol, Ron's Owl.

—That bird is a menace.

He grabbed the letter that was attached to its leg and handed it to me. I opened it and started to read it.

Eileen,

How are you? Enjoying your vacations? Everything here has been really quiet, Fred and George haven't made any joke or something and that's quite scary, actually, I feel that they're going to do something at any moment.

Have you gotten any letters from Harry? I've written him a couple of letters during this week but I haven't heard from him, Hermione told me that he also hasn't answered her letters.

Do you think he just doesn't want to talk to us? Or is it because of his horrible muggle relatives?

Ron.

—Oh... —I murmured.— I thought I was the only one...

—What is it?

—Looks like Harry hasn't answered anyone's letter. I thought he was just ignoring me.

—So, answering letters is something below Potter.

—Dad, Harry is not like that. Something must have happened... Stop trying to enter my mind!

—Very well, I'll stop for today only because you've improved a lot.

He finished his coffee and put it in the sink, the mug started to clean itself. He walked past me and messed up my hair with his hand, then went to his study.

I finished my cereal and put the bowl in the sink, which also started to clean itself; finally, my dad has stopped making clean my dishes now that I can do magic. I went to the living room and from a drawer, I grabbed a piece of parchment and some ink; I sat down again at the kitchen table and started to write my letter.

Ron,

How are you? Everything here has been really quiet as always, it's just my dad and me here so there's no much I can do here, just read and do our homework, why do they give us a lot of homework, anyway?

Hary also hasn't answered the letter I sent him, I just thought he just didn't want to talk to me, but knowing that he hasn't responded to your or Hermione's letters, makes me think that something bad has happened. Maybe he can't get letters where he lives? I remember that he said Hagrid had to give himhis Hogwarts letter a year ago, but I don't remember why.

Anyway, as soon as you find out what's going on, let me know. Say hi to the twins for me.

Eileen Snape.

I put the letter aside to let it dry, meanwhile, I grabbed another parchment and dipped the quill in the ink to start writing again.

Hermione,

Hi, are you enjoying your vacations? I hope you're having a better time than me, nothing bad has happened, I just don't have a lot to do here. Anyway, I just want to know if you still want to do the sleepover, I could ask you to come here, but as I said, there's no much we can do here since I'm not allowed to go outside (we don't live in a nice neighbourhood) so if it's not a problem, can we do it at your place? Just if you want to, sure, although I'm extremely curious to know what a muggle house is like.

And well, I also have to ask my dad for permission but I don't see why he would say no.

Eileen Snape.

PD: Could you send me another chocolate bar like the one you send me on Christmas? I never told you but I loved it, muggles do know how to make chocolate.

When the ink finally dried, I put the letters inside an envelope, I borrowed my dad's owl and gave him Hermione's letter; I wanted to let Errol rest for a couple of hours before sending Ron's letter.

My dad's owl arrived the next day with Hermione's response, during the sunset. I grabbed the letter after giving him a couple of owl's treats and laid down on my bed to read it; I can't believe that she didn't just send me the chocolate I asked for, but she sent me a whole box! I quickly opened the package and started to eat one of the bars while I read the letter.

Dear Eileen,

I would love to have a sleepover here! I already asked my parents and they said it's fine with them if you stay here for a week, do you want to come this Monday? Sure, only if Professor Snape lets you come, but my parents also told me that they can talk with him on the phone to assure him that you'll be safe here. I really hope you can come, I'm so excited!

Also, you can put the chocolates in the fridge so that they don't melt (do wizards have fridges? Now that I think about it, I'm curious to know what a magical house is like) or if you don't have one, maybe you could ask Professor Snape to do some Freezing Charm on them.

Hermione Granger.

I got up from my bed and left my room. I didn't bother to put on my slippers, I had socks on and since it's summer, the floor isn't cold. I walked down the stairs to the ground floor and opened the door to my dad's study room; his back was turned to me, looking for some book in the bookshelves.

—Hey Dad, what's a... —I looked at the letter again and read the word slowly.— te-le-pho-ne?

—It's a muggle device that helps you speak to someone, unlike letters, this is instant.

—Really? Like calling via Floo? —He nodded.— And I always thought that muggles made their life difficult...

—Why are you asking?

—Oh! Is just... Hermione and I are planning to do a sleepover. —I said while giving him the letter.— Her parents say that they can talk to you about it with that thing.

—Sleepover?

—Yes, can I go? Please, say yes, it'll be my first sleepover and I'm really excited. Please, please, please!

—I don't think this is your first sleepover, what about when you were staying with the Malfoy's?

He folded the letter and sat on a couch, starting to read a book that he took off the shelve.

—Oh, come on, I was basically living there, if anything I was having sleepovers here, you know, in my own home. Can I go? Pleaaaaaaase!

He stared at me for a couple of seconds, so I put my best puppy face that I could, I could always get to do what I wanted when I did that; if that worked when the Malfoy's took me to see dragons in another country, it certainly will work here.

—Fine.

—¿Really?

—Yes.

I made a shriek of happiness and hugged him tightly.

—Thank you, thank you, thank you!

—But, you will follow the next rules; first, do not use muggle devices if you don't know how they work, I don't want to pay for something that you break; second, you cannot use magic, so your wand will stay here; third, if you leave the Grangers house, I want you to be with Miss Granger or her parents at all time, you cannot wander on your own; and fourth, I want you to write me a letter every day.

—I promise I won't break any of those rules, thank you! And... How are we going to get there? I don't think they have a chimney fit to use Floo powder.

—Ask her the number of her telephone, I'll talk with her parents.

—¡Thanks!

I ran to my bedroom, sat on the chair in front of my desk and from a drawer I grabbed a piece of parchment and started to write a letter to Hermione.

Mione,

My dad said yes! I only have to follow a couple of rules, but they are thinks I wasn't planning on doing anyway. Could you give me the number of you tephone? (Did I write it right? I tried no to look at your letter to see if I could remember it)

See you this Monday!

Eileen Snape.

I left the letter to dry, it shouldn't take a lot of time; I grabbed the chocolate bars that I had left on my bed, they weren't completely melted, but they did feel a lot softer than when I got them. I went down to the kitchen and after making space for them in the freezer, I put the whole box in there to avoid getting melted. A fridge was one of the few muggle things we had in the house and that I knew how it works (it was easy, really, if you open the door you only have to close it again).

I got back to my room and grabbed a book that was under my bed, hidden behind several boxes, I moved the boxes and grabbed the book Occulta de Tenebris Magicae, it was a book that I grabbed in one of the rooms at the Manor; the room was full of dust and spider webs, so I really doubt that they are going to miss it, or that they even knew they had it.

I carefully closed the door, trying not to make a lot of noise and locked the door, I had read only a couple of pages, but it was easy enough to see that this is an extremely dark book (although it makes sense, its name is Secrets of the Darkest Arts, after all), and I'm sure that my dad will not be happy if he finds out I'm reading it.

I really wanted to read it, I've had it hidden in my trunk since the first of September last year, but I was scared to read it in my room at Gryffindor Tower; Lavender and Parvati don't respect my privacy like my dad (sure, ignoring the times when he sees my memories with Legilimency), so as long as I have the door closed, I will have time to hide the book if he wants to come in.

I opened the book in the Dark Creatures section and started to read the first entry.

Tukákame: This creature, also known as 'Demonio Necrófago' in Spanish, lives in Mexico. It has a human body, but it can also take the form of a...

I read the book for the rest of the day until my dad told me that dinner was ready, so I hid the book again under my bed.

After washing my hands in the bathroom, I sat in my usual place, the kitchen smelled wonderful, today's dinner was meat stew; what people didn't know is that my dad was not only exceptional at potions but also at cooking, I guess because both things are similar. I waited for my dad to sit down to start eating.

—Have you finished doing your homework?

—No, but I'm almost done... What's the necessity of giving us homework during summer as well? Isn't it enough to make us suffer the rest of the year?

—It is so that you do not return with an empty head and at least know something at the beginning of the year. I won't let you go with Miss Granger if you don't finish them.

—But you had already told me that I could go! It's not fair...

The look that my dad gave me was enough to know that I shouldn't keep complaining, and I still had three days to finish them all; I ate until my stomach couldn't take any more and went to my room to finish my Astronomy essay and then go to sleep.

Dear Severus,

I'm sorry I'm sending you this letter so late, but I been busy these days, how are you? Is Eileen all right? Draco told me what happened at the end of the year and we want to know if she's fine.

I also would like to let you know that tomorrow I'll go for Eileen at around 1 o'clock, I want to spend the day with her and take her to buy new clothes. I'm sure she has grown quite a lot this year! I won't take a no for an answer.

Sincerely,
Narcissa Malfoy.
