In the city-lit night, two parents and their son walked through the city; the boy was holding a wand in his left hand. "WOW! The lights are extremely bright...and awesome!"

"Hee hee hee hee hee hee...I'm glad you like it, sweetheart," said the mother. "This is what a human city is like."

"But in all honesty, kiddo," said the father, "it would be much better if humans and witches could learn to live together. Wouldn't it?"

"...Yeah..." The boy continued looking around at the lights...just before noticing a bright light coming up from right behind him. He slowly turned around and saw two bright lights getting bigger...and bigger...and—

"WATCH OUT!"

*PUSH*

*CRASH*

"*GASP* MOM! DAD!" Rupert suddenly shot straight out of his futon. "...What...?" He looked around at the room he was in...which was very unfamiliar to him. "Wh-Where AM I?"

"Ah, Rupert-san! You're awake! Don't move so much, you're still injured."

The biker wizard then noticed a group of familiar teenagers looking over him. "YOU guys! Who the hell are you kids? WHAT the hell are you kids?"

"Well...I'm Aono Tsuki. And I'm a human," explained the brunette girl. "Right now, you're in the motel we're staying in for the night. We came to the human world to research a bunch of disa—"

"A GODDAMN HUMAN!" yelled Rupert. "BULLSHIT! There's no way a human could defeat a wizard like me! Y-You'd have to be a monster!"

"Well, I was sorta borrowing some powers from a monster boyfriend of mine."

Kōmura Nazo says:

For those of you wondering how, just go back and read Chapters 10 and 11. WHEE!

"Here's the full breakdown: I'm a human," began Tsuki.

"I'm a wizard~desu," continued Yukinari.

"And Kumaru-kun and I are monsters," continued Mako.

"We're pretty much a mixed group," concluded Kumaru.

The biker wizard's eyes widened at what he had just heard. "WIZARDS! FRIENDS! WITH HUMANS! AND MONSTERS! THAT'S BULLSHIT!" Rupert angrily grabbed the human girl by the front of her shirt. "Humans and witches can NEVER get along with monsters! Hell, humans and witches can never get along PERIOD!"

*RIP*

"AHH!" Just then, the human girl grabbed her chest in pain, causing Rupert to release his grip in shock.

"Tsuki! Are you alright?" Mako quickly came to his girlfriend's side.

"That wound...isn't that where I sliced him last night?" Rupert thought. "Anyways, why did you help me? I mean, I tried to kill you all back there. Shouldn't you guys hate me for that?"

"No, there's NO reason for us NOT to *GROAN* help you," said the human girl. "Besides, it was ME who went overboard and attacked you back there, and I'm REALLY sorry about that."

Widening his eyes at first, Rupert quickly looked away in anger and frustration.

"Hee hee hee hee hee...are you sure it's okay to be letting those kids stay in the same room as that punk, Sensei?" asked Natsuki outside the door. "The 'case' that you got those kids into is a lot more dangerous than you can imagine."

"'The case I got them into'? I'm not the one who DROVE them there," said Mr. Nekonome.

Kōmura Nazo says:

But you ARE the one who initiated the Newspaper Club's job to unveil this conspiracy. WHEE!

"If their little research gets out of hand, we'll need backup from Yōkai Academy to save them," continued the bus driver.

(The Next Day)

"Here you go, Rupert-san. Have some breakfast!" said Tsuki joyfully. "Oh, and thanks for the healing abilities yesterday. I feel MUCH better now."

"*SIGH* This human bitch...doesn't seem to be exhibiting any monster abilities for some reason," thought the wizard biker.

Just then, Yukinari entered the room. "I'm back~desu."

"Welcome back, Yukinari-chan. How was the city?" asked Tsuki.

"CHECK IT OUT!" The younger wizard held out a bag of groceries that he held behind his back. "I went to this ginormous store called a 'supermarket' and did all the shopping by myself!" She pulled some cans of soda out to give to the other inhabitants of the room. "At first, I gave up on trying to have everyone understand my feelings...but NOW I realized that the only way to do that is to understand everyone else's feelings first~desu." Suddenly, Yukinari pounced into Tsuki and began fondling her breasts in joy. "And it's ALL thanks to Tsuki-san for helping me realize that!"

Witnessing this, Rupert slowly began to smile, but then...

"...D-Don't bullshit me! You kids are too naïve," he silently said at first. "I...I AIN'T FALLING FOR THIS BULLSHIT!" he suddenly screamed. "I KNOW DEEP DOWN HOW DISGUSTING AND SELFISH YOU HUMAN BEINGS ARE! I'LL KILL YOU AND RIP OFF YOUR SKIN..." Rupert prepared to grab Tsuki's skin. "...JUST TO SEE WHAT YOU REALLY ARE, YOU MOTHER—"

"Here..." Tsuki presented a can of soda to Rupert, causing the elder wizard to freeze dead in his tracks. "I've heard that the 'Witch's Knoll' was being terrorized and destroyed because of the new construction, and I'm VERY sorry about that...I mean...I don't think an apology will fix anything, but as a human...I wish there was something I could do to help."

"...S-S-Sorry...?"

*SMACK*

"THE HELL YOU ARE, YOU HUMAN BITCH!" Rupert yelled as he smacked the can out of Tsuki's hand. "There's NOTHING that you assholes can do about it. The humans have already infuriated my master; to protect 'Witch's Knoll', my master shall turn your filthy human city into a sea of flames!"

"...Master...?" thought the human girl.

(Witch's Knoll)

"*CAW* *CAW* *CAW*" A crow returned to a hooded figure, landing on his arm. "*CAW* *CAW* *CAW*"

"I see, so Rupert has been defeated—and kidnapped—*SIGH* If you want something done, you have to do it yourself...!"

*BOOM*

A hand suddenly burst out of the ground within the sunflower patch.

"Thanks to the energy from the water and the sun, my 'soldiers' are growing well; however, Rupert was supposed to be the general of these soldiers, which is why I made him the way he is right now. I will NOT lose him! He must return to me if he is alive!"

Later that night, back at the motel, all the occupants were fast asleep; all the male Newspaper Club members were sleeping on top of Tsuki's futon (while Tsuki was inside), but Rupert couldn't sleep and instead sat straight up in his futon, looking down at the soda can that was right next to him (the same soda can that Tsuki offered him earlier that day). "*SIGH* My injuries seen to be healing quite well...guess that medicine works after all." He picked up the can and began looking at it. "I wish that there was something I could do to—"

"...Rupert-san?"

"EEK!" Rupert nearly freaked out and drop the can. "Yu-Yukinari-kun...!"

"So...where's my wand?" asked Rupert outside the bedroom. "In order to use magic, wizards are required to control nature's power with a powerful item. I can't go back to where I came from without my wand."

"Why don't you stay here for a while?" asked Yukinari. "I'm sure Tsuki-san would LOVE you as a friend~desu."

"I-I-I can't...my parents were killed in an accident by the humans when I was about you age; it was during one of our many visits to the human world. You see...we were out shopping for some souvenirs and...a drunken man ran them over..." the elder wizard croaked. "Since that day, all I could do was hate everything about the human world. I hate the humans...the city...EVERY SINGLE GODDAMN THING ABOUT THEM!" Tears began forming in his eyes. At that moment, Rupert began to flee outside the motel and to his Harley-Davidson motorcycle outside.

Kōmura Nazo says:

Hold on a second! Where did the motorcycle come from? And since when did he even HAVE one? WHEE!

"RUPERT-SAN!" Yukinari ran out the door, just in time to see the biker wizard start-up his motorcycle engine.

"*SNIFF* You're a lucky son-of-a-witch, Yukinari-kun, to have actual friends...I wish I could've met you sooner...just so I could've been one of them...goodbye..." And so, Rupert gave Yukinari one last sad smile and...

*SCREECH* *VROOM*

...started up his motor.

"Rupert-san! Wait! RUPERT-SAN!"

But it was too late for Yukinari's cries...Rupert drove off into the night, leaving the younger wizard behind to whisper, "...Rupert-san..."

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKK!"

*BOOM*

Just then, Yukinari turned around to see a briefless Kumaru slammed against the wall after being apparently thrown out of the room. Tsuki suddenly stormed out to grab Kumaru by his shirt and pull him closer. "JUST WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK WERE YOU DOING IN MY FUTON, YOU SICK, RAPEY INCUBUS?!"

"T-Tsuki-chan, relax! It's not what it looks like!" Kumaru held her hands up to calm his alleged sexual assault victim. "I-I swear on my life that I was sleepwalking!"

"Tsuki, what's going on?" Mako suddenly walked out in a half-sleepy daze while rubbing his eyes.

"You REALLY wanna know what's going on?" the human girl snapped. "Well, I just woke up and found Kumaru-kun about to shove his large, exposed—"

"GUYS! We have a problem!" Yukinari suddenly approached the teenagers with tears in his eyes. "Rupert's gone!"

Rupert continued driving through the light-lit city. As he was wiping away the snot drooling his nose, he reached into his pocket to pull out...the soda can Tsuki offered him earlier that day. "Guess it's too late to change my lifestyle now," he thought as he looked at the still unopened can.

*CAW* *CAW*

Just then, a crow flew right up next to him; inside the crow's beak was Rupert's wand. Holding out his hand, Rupert caught the wand as it was dropped into his hand, then his wings sprouted out and he used them to make his motorcycle fly off into the night.

Kōmura Nazo says:

He's using his wings? I don't know why, I guess I thought the motorcycle was able to fly all by itself. WHEE!

"Rupert-san...just drove off unexpectedly..." Yukinari explained to his friends back at the motel. "I...I thought we could've been friends."

*SLIDE*

"Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee...so you're just gonna let him go? You realize he'll go back to killing if you don't stop him, right?" asked Natsuki. "I just felt the presence that his boss has finally taken action. I guess they're going to unleash an army to protect the Witch's Knoll by destroying the city—and Rupert is their general..."

"H-How do you know about this?" asked Tsuki.

"Never mind. What are you kids gonna do? The relationship between humans and witches is deeper than you think..." said the bus driver.

"Well...we DO know where they are," said Mako. "Maybe we should try to bring Rupert back. What do YOU think, Tsuki?"

The human girl closed her eyes tightly. "I...I understand why Rupert-san hates humans, but we CANNOT let them massacre the humans! It won't solve anything! We have to go back! NOW!"

Back at the Witch's Knoll, Lord Oyakata stood out in the sunflower field, looking out at the full moon.

*VROOM* *VROOM*

"...I've been waiting for you," he whispered without even looking back; behind him was Rupert on his motorcycle.

"I'm sorry to worry you, Oyakata-sama," the young wizard man said as he got off his motorcycle.

"It seems you've were easily defeated by those humans," the master whispered.

"Defeated? N-No I wasn't. Of course not. I managed to—"

"Don't waste a lie that you know I won't believe."

*WHIP*

Just then, a vine pulled out Rupert's soda can from his pocket. "I know what has happened! The crow told me everything!" growled Lord Oyakata.

*CRACK*

The vine crushed the can, causing all the soda to spray out. "And it told me that you were being CARED for by those humans!" Rupert's master added on.

"Oyakata-sama, I-I—"

"I thought I taught you well...but I was WRONG! Do you have any idea how many wizards and witches have been slain by humans? Including your parents! You are a disgrace!"

"J-Just listen! PLEASE! I—"

But Lord Oyakata unleashed more vines from his body that grabbed Rupert and lifted him into the air; one vine wrapped around his neck, choking life out of the biker wizard.

"PLEASE!" Rupert struggled to cry. "STOP! I'M SORRY! I CAN'T BREATHE!"

*VROOM*

Just then, a bus leapt off a ledge and landed not far from the two wizards.

"Wow! That was fast!"

From inside the bus came out...

"TSUKI-SAN! MAKO-SAN! KUMARU-SAN! YUKINARI-SAN!" Rupert croaked.

"YOU! What are you four doing here now?" asked Lord Oyakata.

"Let our friend go! NOW!" yelled Tsuki.

"Friend?" Rupert widened his eyes at what he heard.

"This brat? Your friend?" laughed the white cloaked wizard. "He is a wizard...just like me...but if you REALLY wanna be friends, why not help us in exterminating the filthy humans?"

In response, Tsuki stood her ground, Mako crossed his arms, Kumaru showed an akanbe with his middle finger, and Yukinari held onto Tsuki's arm in terror.

"...Pity...DIE!"

*RUMBLE*

At Lord Oyakata's scream, the ground began shaking.

"Wha...What's going on...?" yelled Tsuki.

*GROWL*

"Look! There's something coming out of the sunflower field!" cried Kumaru.

"No...you fools don't get it, DO you...?" Lord Oyakata gave a sadistic smile. "This was NEVER a sunflower field to being with! This is the resting place...for my Hanabake!"

*ROAR*

Just then, the Hanabake emerged from out of the ground.

Bite-Size Monster Dictionary:

Hanabake
In simpler terms, these are vicious monster plants. It has a slow growth rate and absorbs energy under the soil while mimicking as a plant form. Its body is as hard as steel, and they are very capable in combat.

"I'll protect you!" Kumaru quickly got in front of Tsuki to protect her.

"No! Kumaru-kun! Wait!" cried Tsuki. "Listen!" he said to the wizard enemies. "I really do understand why you're doing this, but destroying the humans is not the—"

*WHACK*

The Hanabake struck Tsuki with its tail.

"TSUKI!"

"TSUKI-CHAN!"

Mako and Kumaru quickly came to their shared girlfriend's side.

"SHUT UP!" screamed Lord Oyakata. "You humans do nothing but beg for your lives like cowards to show how sinister and deceitful you TRULY are! You don't even understand wizards!"

"...Y-You're wrong!" groaned the human girl. "We know why Rupert-san is suffering! He hates humans because they accidentally killed his parents! But fighting won't solve anything, it'll just deepen the wound! Instead of fighting, you should try to understand humans! And eventually became FRIENDS with them!"

Rupert widened his eyes at what he heard.

"Friends? Don't make me laugh!" laughed his evil master. "Humans can NEVER get along with witches! DIE!"

The Hanabake lunged at Tsuki to finish her off.

"NO! STOP! PLEASE!"

Just then, blades emerged out of Rupert's back, slicing off the vines and cutting down the Hanabake. "NO MORE!"

"R-Rupert...YOU!"

"*PANT* *PANT* *PANT* *PANT*" The biker wizard slowly stood up while holding his wand. "Oyakata-sama, do you really believe that violence is the best way to solve this?"

"But in all honesty, kiddo," said the father, "it would be much better if humans and witches could learn to live together. Wouldn't it?"

"...No! I...I think Tsuki-san is right!"

"...R...Rupert..."
