"Where is the pool?" Carlie said to me as she was done observing every single thing in the Cullens' living room.

"Do you want to see the pool?" Carlisle smiled at her.

She nodded at him.

"Come on! I will show it to you." He smiled.

"Mama, can you also come with me?" she asked me.

"I'm here. You can go with him." I smiled.

She waited for some time before she said, "Okay."

"Thanks a lot for your help." I said to Esme once they went towards the pool.

"Of course." she smiled.

I had to do a lot of things, and I was trying to find a good Nanny for Carlie. Esme and Carlisle offered help to look after her, and I couldn't say no to them. I mean, I had already kept her away from them for so long, and it didn't seem fair if I refused their offer even now.

They were nice enough to avoid asking me any questions about why I had decided to keep her away from them. They were really good friends with my parents. I knew they must be hurt that they had also kept this truth from them... And they had lost them now, so they couldn't even fight with them!

I knew I owed them all an apology, but... I always found it difficult to apologize to anyone. But I knew... I had to do it at some point.

"Mama! There are lights in the pool!" Carlie came running towards me after some time, "And it's even bigger than our pool! And there are lots of plants and trees! There are lots of apples on the tree. And..."

"Baby, calm down!" I said.

"There are apples and... so many lemons! There are also tomatoes!" she said.

"Do you want to eat the apple from that tree?" Esme asked her.

"Apple from the tree?" Her eyes widened.

"Yeah," Esme smiled.

"Can we do that?" she said.

"Of course." she said.

"Mama!" she said to me in awe, "Did you hear that? Grandma said I can eat apples from that tree..."

"Wow!" I said, "That's so awesome!"

"Yeah!" she said with awe.
