Somewhere across the walls of Yōkai Academy, someone taped the current newspaper to the wall. "Perfect, now for the finishing touch."
*SHAKE* *SHAKE* *SHAKE* *SHAKE* *SHAKE* *SPRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY*
"Good morning, everybody," Mako said to her fellow clubmates in a cheery disposition.
"Mako-kun, you seem happy today," said Kumaru.
"Yeah, you seem much happier than you've been these past few days~desu," said Yukinari. "Tsuki-san, on the other hand..."
Tsuki sat in her chair like an almost dry husk.
"Tsuki! Are you okay?" Mako gently nudged his girlfriend back to her normal state. "Strange, your blood taste seems to have...changed..."
"What? Me? Oh no! Not at all!" Tsuki quickly snapped.
"...Blood taste? WHAT blood taste?" Kumaru asked through his teeth. "YOU SUCKED HER BLOOD AGAIN?!"
*SPLASH*
Later that day, Tsuki splashed some water on her face. "My 'blood taste changed'? Could it be...because of my change of body...? After that incident, I've been having strange urges to taste Mako-san's blood...maybe I should talk to that exorcist about this..." After drying her face, she stepped out of the bathroom to—
*CHING* *CHING*
Two swords were suddenly held up to her neck by two of about seven men in black. "Are you Aono Tsuki: an editor of the Yōkai Times?" one of the men asked while holding up a newspaper.
Tsuki nodded nervously.
"Please follow us. The headmistress of Yōkai Academy wishes to speak to you." said another man.
*PLOP*
"WE HAVE A PROBLEM!" Gina yelled as she slammed a newspaper onto the table of her club employees.
Kōmura Nazo says:
Wow! We haven't seen HER since...err...Chapter 18? WHEE!
"Look at this newspaper!" Gina yelled.
"'The School Newspaper will be in a Rain of Blood'," Mizo read after peering his head out from under the table (and surprising everybody there). "'We strongly object to the school festival on the 29th of October. We demand the school management stop this, or there will be blood flowing on the 29th.' Could they be terrorists?"
"Why ya asking me?" Kumaru yelled. "Why the fuck would we put something like that in the goddamn newspaper?"
"Why would you NOT you? It says Yōkai Times on the bottom."
"Well, it's obviously fake!" Gina protested. "Someone spread this shit, along with a graffiti, on the wall."
"But how did this happen?" asked Mako. "And WHO did it? And WHY?"
"The group that's been exposing this school. They're called ANTI-THESIS. They disregard the school's peace policies through violence, and they're a threat to the school. The newspaper they obviously falsified will make us look like the bad guys, while they take control of the school; we might get detained...and/or worse: expelled! Which reminds me: where's Tsuki-chan?"
Just then, the Newspaper Club (and Mizo) noticed Tsuki being escorted by the men in black; one of the men looked at them, but then turned away and kept walking.
"Wait, why are they only detaining HER?" the Newspaper Club president asked.
Yōkai Academy's headmistress sat in her chair (which was faced away from the desk). "Come in, Aono Tsuki," she whispered.
The door opened and Tsuki did indeed walk in.
"I've been waiting for you, Tsuki-san," the headmistress said as she turned her chair around to face her. "I am Mikogami Tennyo: the headmistress of Yōkai Academy."
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!" Tsuki's jaw dropped to the ground as her pupils disappeared. "The exorcist!"
"Aono Tsuki, I have called you to my office to inform you that...as of this moment, you're expelled," said Headmistress Mikogami.
"...EX...EXPELLED?!" the human girl screamed. "B-Because of the graffiti and threats? I swear that wasn't me! Or the rest of the—"
"We already know that," the exorcist interrupted. "The one behind the recent vandalisms was caused by a woman simply known as the 'graffiti demon', and it's been giving me a headache. She is able to run so fast that she hasn't been caught. We cannot allow this to continue, or else we won't be able to answer to the other students."
"A-And you're expelling ME for this?!" Tsuki screamed. "She's making me a scapegoat?"
Kōmura Nazo says:
Read the ORIGINAL manga in order to understand it better. WHEE!
"Which brings me to my NEXT topic: how's your Holy Lock?" the headmistress continued. "Aren't you concerned about the seal breaking?"
"Huh?" Looking down at her wrist, Tsuki noticed that her wrist chain that holds her Holy Lock was starting to wither.
"When your monster aura becomes too strong, the seal will break...and you will die," explained the exorcist. "That's why you need to leave Yōkai Academy immediately."
"But...my friends..."
"You don't understand, do you? Your 'friends' are the reason you were put into this situation in the first place. Don't you understand?"
"Later that night, Tsuki sat on the rooftop in distress. "What am I gonna do?"
*SPRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY*
Just then, she heard some spraying not too far away. Looking to her right, she saw a girl with a baseball-like cap and street clothes spray painting on the roof with a spray can; a smirky smile on her face.
"What's wrong, Aono Tsuki?" asked the girl. "Is it because you got expelled because of that newspaper we created?"
"Y-YOU!" Tsuki gasped.
"You know, this graffiti is the exact same as the newspaper. Although it's simple, it has the ability to control information...and I plan on using this to hunt down the rest of you."
And then Tsuki remembered...
"YOU!" the human screamed. "You're the graffiti demon from ANTI-THESIS! W-Why are you doing this!"
"Wha, you don't know why?" asked the graffiti demon. "Well, I don't blame ya, because I don't know why either? Maybe our leader's been targeting you after you and your friends took care of two of our members: Midō and Moko."
"Midō? Moko? That means you're a—"
*SLASH* *SLASH* *SLASH* *SLASH*
Tsuki was suddenly slashed across the body by the graffiti demon's transformed bladed legs.
"...Y-You're a Monstrel!"
"That's right! Our organization is called ANTI-THESIS! And now that you know...IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO DIE!" The graffiti demon quickly rushed at—
"STOP!"
GD (which is what I will call the graffiti demon from now on to conserve time) quickly stopped her leg right by Tsuki's neck as she noticed a sweaty Mako behind Tsuki, holding onto the fence.
"*PANT* *PANT* *PANT* Tsuki won't *PANT* *PANT* be of any *PANT* *PANT* problem to you any longer," Mako panted in exhaustion. "I've just learned that she's been expelled. *PANT* *PANT* YOU and your group caused her to be expelled! *PANT* *PANT* So what do you want from him? *PANT* *PANT*"
"How...How did you know?" asked his girlfriend.
"I'm sorry, I overheard your conversation with the headmistress. But expelled or not, I don't wanna be away from you! And that's why...I'm leaving Yōkai Academy too! And I'm going to the human world with you!"
"Wait, you've been expelled?" GD gasped at Tsuki. "Bummer! But that's alright! I'm actually targeting the entire Newspaper Club...starting with YOU and your boyfriend. But you know what? I think I'll take out pinky first!"
*DASH*
"NO! STOP! PLEASE!" Tsuki cried. But she was not fast enough to stop GD. All she could remember at this moment was Headmistress Mikogami's final words to her...
"You don't understand, do you? Your 'friends' are the reason you were put into this situation in the first place. Don't you understand?"
"Maybe she's right. Maybe they ARE the cause of all this. But...whether it's true or not, I don't care! All that matters to me is keeping them safe!"
*FLASH*
The crack in her Holy Lock suddenly flashed.
Tsuki suddenly dashed and appeared right in of GD.
"WHAT THE..." GD saw that Tsuki now looked demonic. "How did you get here so fast? Get outta my—"
*BAM*
Tsuki brutally punched GD off the rooftop, sending him plummeting to the ground...
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
*THUD*
Kōmura Nazo says:
This chapter's climactic battle took 44 words! WHEE!
"Whoa! How did Tsuki get so strong?" thought Mako. "I thought her vampire blood's been sealed."
"I thought my vampire blood's been sealed, but I guess my will to help Mako-san helped bring it back out," thought the transformed human.
*CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP*
"Not bad, Tsuki-san," said the familiar female voice closer up the rooftop. It was Headmistress Mikogami. "Ignoring my demands? Risking your life to save your friend? Controlling your unstable power? And capturing that annoying graffiti demon? I think that's MORE than enough to change my mind on expelling you...under one condition, of course."
"...WHAT condition?" asked the human girl.
"...We're a bit short on staff for setting up our upcoming school festival, and we could use your help...interested?"
While determining her decision, he looked down at his Holy Lock, at Mako, at GD's broken (yet still alive) body over the roof, and back at the headmistress. "Headmistress, it's a deal!"
