Chapter 6: Hands

A few days later Ginny and Hermione stood under Harry's invisibility cloak. They had to hunch over to prevent their feet from showing. They had just finished walking the perimeter when the back mansion door opened. The girls froze in place, not daring to make a sound. A man walked to the edge of the perimeter and took nearly the same path they had. As he came closer Ginny recognized him through his unruly hair and beard. Ginny grabbed Hermione's hand, she felt her hand squeeze back. Hermione recognized him too.

Harry trailed his fingers across the force shield. They seemed to make a soft ripple as he passed. Ginny couldn't help it, she pressed her hand against the shield from under the invisibility cloak. Harry made contact. The second he did he froze in place, but he didn't understand why. He pressed his hand against the shield, nearly covering Ginny's hand.

Ginny looked into his once bright emerald eyes. They were now a dull green, but still held so much emotion. She could see the gears working in his head. Soon he kneeled on the ground by the silvery orb. He was clearly studying it.

Ginny felt Hermione pull on her shirt. She knew it was time to leave, but it was hard to leave Harry. The girls crept back into the forest behind the mansion. Ginny looked back at Harry one last time, before apprevating along side Hermione.

Ginny and Hermione sat around the dinning room table at Grimmauld Place after delivering their news. Ginny sat, barely listening. The only thing she could think of was Harry, his face, his whole appearance, the warmth she felt when he brushed her hand. She didn't know why they were waiting. They had the plan and place.

The Order had decided to attack the mansion from the back as Ron suggested. Ginny and Hermione had laid out the surroundings, they knew what to expect, how many guards, why were they waiting.

Ginny slammed her fist on the table. Everyone turned to see her.

"Why are we waiting? Harry's alive. We should be getting him right now!" Kingsley turned calmly to Ginny.

"Which is why we need our plan to be flawless. We don't want to fail and have him moved."
