Rip parked the truck with the other Yellowstone trucks parking next to them. He opened the backseat door for Lucy to hop out before reaching for his wallet.

"Use it wisely." He told her giving her 50.

"Thanks." She said walking away.

"Hold on there." Beth called out. Lucy turned waiting.

Beth strode ahead of Rip. "If you want more, come and find me." She kissed her forehead before Lucy went off in the direction of the rides and fair games.

Rip took Beth's hand heading for the stage to find themselves their own spot.

"Hey! Lucy Wheeler." She heard someone say. She turned to find that it was a boy from school who said her name.

"Uh hi." She said, she could not remember his name for the life of herself.

"You've forgotten my name." He said with a soft smile.

"I.. yeah. Sorry."

"It's Ollie."

"Sorry. I know you're in my Science class."

He nodded. "Did you maybe want to play a game?" He said pointing to the tin bowling. Lucy tried to hide her surprise at being asked, she couldn't tell if Ollie was flirting with her or not.

"Sure." She said as Ollie grinned. They walked over together before Ollie paid for them both.

"So I don't want to upset you but I heard about what Adams did and I just want to say he's a total wanker." He said taking his turn, knocking down a few pins.

"Oh yeah. Thanks for sticking up for me that time."

"All good. So what do you normally do when we aren't stuck at school?"

"Bike ride, horse ride. I live on the ranch with my parents and there is a baby calf at the moment that I'm feeding. Otherwise just basketball."

"Cool. I like mountain bike riding. I heard you live on the Yellowstone. Must be fun."

"Yeah I guess. The cowboys are fun to hang out with." She said with a smile.

"Do you want to play that game over there? I think you'll be good, it looks like basketball." He said looking at the ball in the bucket game.

"All right!" She said enthusiastically. "Let's see who can win the biggest prize."

"You're on!" He said grinning. Again, he happily paid for Lucy.

"You know, I can pay right."

"Sure you can, but I don't mind." He replied breezing over it. Ollie offered her the ball first but she shook her head, saying he could go first. He missed a few and got a few balls in winning a medium prize.

"Would you like the baby cow?" He asked her while the attendant waited, remembering she was looking after a baby calf at home.

"Yeah, that would be great. Thank you." She said holding the soft toy before passing it to Ollie to hold for her turn. She managed to get all bar one ball in the bucket.

"Lucy Wheeler with the skills!" He said cheering her on making her laugh.

"You can pick one of the big ones." The attendant told her.

"Considering you won me this, is there something you would like?" She asked Ollie.

He laughed. "Well, I think the teddy bear is pretty cute." He said as the attendant passed it over.

Did you want to get some food?" Lucy said changing the subject after seeing a donut food truck.

Ollie nodded, walking over. They both ordered before Ollie paid again.

"You didn't have to pay for me."

Ollie shrugged. "I wanted to. Should we sit by the stage?"

"Yeah. That would be nice." She told him. He carried the donuts finding a spot not realising it was right near the Yellowstone crew.

"Look who is over there." Jimmy said turning to the rest of the cowboys.

"Oh damn, Wheeler jnr has a boyfriend." Jake said making the others laugh.

'Who knew you were funny Jake." Colby teased.

Beth sat in front of Rip, leaning against him.

"Is that my daughter with a boy?" Rip whispered in to her hair.

Beth looked around before her eyes landed on the back of Lucy's head. She saw her sitting on the grass with a taller boy next to her around the same age. He had a cowboy hat on with shaggy brown hair.

"It would seem so." She told Rip.

"I'm just going to have a chat." He said making a move to get up.

"No you're not." She said pulling his arm back down.

"Beth. That is a boy sitting with our baby. I don't want him within a six mile radius of her."

"He hasn't done a thing. He doesn't even have his arm around her and you're acting like he's doing something horrible."

"But he might."

"He might not. You'll embarrass her going over there." She said looking at him.

"Fine." He said not satisfied. Beth turned back to the band playing as the sun set while Rip kept a watchful eye on Lucy.

Ollie and Lucy shared the donuts while listening to the band. "Do you like music?" Lucy asked, feeling a bit shy.

"Yeah. These guys are pretty good. I play the guitar in my spare time." He said.

"Wow. That's cool." She told Ollie. He couldn't help but relish a bit in the compliment.

Lucy started to shiver as the sun set and cold set in. Ollie noticed taking off his jacket and putting it around her.

"Oh that's ok. You don't have to." Lucy said blushing.

"No problem, honestly." He said ignoring the blush on her cheeks.

Rip saw the move. "I'm going over there."

"What for now?" Beth asked, giving him her attention.

"You didn't see? He put his jacket around her."

"So? It's getting cold Rip." Beth said, she couldn't help but think how dramatic he was being. He grumbled a bit more before turning to talk to Lloyd.

The band finished their set, before Ollie's phone buzzed. "Oh sorry. That's my Mom, she's wondering where I am. I better get going."

"Oh yeah of course. Same here, my parents are probably wondering if I got lost." She stammered out awkwardly.

"I'll walk you back to them. Do you know where they are?"

Lucy looked to her left not seeing anyone she knew before turning to her right and realising her parents and the rest of the cowboys were a few rows behind them. "Uhh, they're right behind us actually. Just a few rows back. I'll be ok."

"Don't be silly, it'll be on my way." He said standing up. He held out a hand to her to help her up. Lucy looked at his hand before him surprised. "Thanks." She said taking it. He let go after helping her up before they walk back to the Yellowstone group.

Ryan wolf whistled as they walked past, making Lucy's eyes nearly bulge out of her head with embarrassment before she glared at him.

Beth and Rip watched the two teenagers coming towards them. He stood up as they got closer. Lucy saw the look on his face and wasn't sure if she was in trouble or it was something else entirely.

"Hi Lucy." He said.

"Dad. Mom. This is Ollie. We go to school together." She said introducing him.

Ollie took his hat off nervously before sticking his hand out. "Nice to meet you Mr Wheeler. Mrs Wheeler." He said with a nod to Beth who was still sitting.

Rip shook his hand. "Ollie."

"I better get going. My mom is looking for me." He said putting his hat on.

"Oh sorry." Lucy said shrugging his jacket off.

"You can hold on to it. It's cold now." He told her. "I'll see you around Lucy Wheeler." He smiled before leaving.

Lucy watched before saying bye well after he had gone.

"Who exactly was that baby?" Beth asked.

"Just a guy from school. He's in my science class. I just bumped in to him."

"I think he likes you." Beth commented. Lucy blushed. "Don't be embarrassed. He's cute."

"No boyfriends." Rip interrupted.

"Dad! He's just someone from school."

"Oh sure. And he gave you his jacket and let me guess won you that toy?" Lucy looked at him wondering how he knew that. "Honey, they're the oldest tricks in the book, you ask your Mama."

Lucy looked at Beth who nodded. "Your Dad didn't win me shit though."

"Here's this anyway." She said pulling the cash out her pocket to give to Rip.

"There we go. He paid for you too." Rip said rolling his eyes.

Lucy felt like her cheeks were going to be permanently red from embarrassment.

"Give it a rest." Beth told him. "At least he was respectful to us. I feel old being call Mrs Wheeler."

"You're a beautiful Mrs Wheeler though." Rip said over the top of Lucy's head giving her a kiss.

"That is so gross!" She complained.

"Don't go doing that with Ollie." Rip teased.

"Seriously!" Lucy exclaimed.
