Ciao everyone! In future chapters, I'll be focusing on a single character, or two. So just a heads up for chapter 10 and 11, don't feel left out if your character doesn't get any mentions.
Kazuma was having a great day so far. He was making plenty of money selling his coffee in the Gamma Team cafe. Nobody ever complained about his coffee costing money, because everyone loved it. He was in the middle of making a cup of black coffee with his special creamer, when he reached into the bottom cabinet, and felt something odd.
He peered into the cabinet and saw, among all the bags of coffee beans and other supplies, Jacob hiding.
"What are you doing down there? This is staff only!"
"Ssh! Not too loud!" hissed Jacob.
"Okay, what are you doing?" asked Kazuma, lowering his voice to a whisper.
"I'm hiding from Olivia."
"What did you do now?"
"Okay, so I was playing with Scarfy. And Scarfy has this habit of being really curious around people he's never seen before. And that's when Olivia came down the hall, and he ran up to meet her. Now you know how she hates the Unova region and stuff."
"Oh wait, Scarfy's from Unova isn't he?" asked Kazuma.
"Yeah. Olivia instantly got really angry and threw Scarfy down the hall and came after me. So the first place I hid was here."
"Throwing a Pokémon? That's messed up."
"Not to Olivia. So she's basically been hunting me all this while and I'm screwed if she finds me."
"Okay, just hand me that plastic bag over there in the corner. If she comes over here, I'll mislead her."
"Thanks man. What's in the bag anyways?"
"Don't look! It's my secret ingredient and must always remain a secret."
"Okay take," said Jacob as he handed him the bag.
Kazuma put two pieces of his secret ingredient in a cup of hot, half cream and milk. He added some vanilla and mixed it all together. He poured his coffee creamer into a cup of black coffee and put it on the serving table.
"Number seven! Black coffee with the special creamer!"
"Oh, that's me!" called a Gamma Team member. He ran up and took his coffee. He put some money on the counter.
"Thanks man! Your coffee is so great! If I cou-"
Olivia slammed the cafe door open and stormed up to Kazuma, who watched her from the serving counter. She slammed her hands onto the table and looked him dead in the eye.
"Where is he?" demanded Olivia.
"Where's who? You could at least be a bit more specific," said Kazuma.
"You know who I'm talking about! Your little friend Jacob."
"Huh, haven't seen him today. Did he offend you? I know how-"
"Yes! He did offend me! He sent that damn little freak of a Pokémon after me!"
"Hmm, doesn't seem like something he would do."
"Don't hmm me! I need to know where he is so I can get my revenge!"
"It was probably a misunderstanding. Think about all the nice things he's done."
"Like pushing me off a plane?"
"Uh, no. He's done stuff like not sending that damn little freak of a Pokémon out before. It was probably an accident. Why don't you cool off upstairs and wait for him to appear and calmly talk about it."
She gave him a nasty look and turned towards the door. "Our nice, little friendly conversation isn't over."
She stormed out the cafe and forcefully pulled the door shut. People awkwardly looked around before getting up to leave.
"Sorry everyone but I'm closing early. Anyone with pending orders will get their orders served."
Even though he said that, people clearly didn't want to stick around. Even those with pending orders.
"Fifty percent discount for everyone with pending orders!"
That brought everyone back into their places as Kazuma quickly made everyone's orders. He hurried them out of the room and flipped the sign to close. He helped Jacob out of the cabinet and looked to make sure Olivia wasn't around.
"What do we do now? As soon as I come into view she'll kill me!" asked Jacob.
"We need something to flip her mood over. So she won't be focused on getting revenge. She'll probably need a hobby to keep her occupied."
"Great idea. What are her hobbies again? Right, terrorizing people! How are we supposed to know!"
"Hold that thought."
"What are you going to do? Get someone for her to terrorize?"
"No, but I know someone who'd probably know Olivia's hobbies. Everything about Olivia."
"You don't mean?"
"Molly Crimson Edgeworth."
Twelve minutes later
"This is a terrible idea. She'll probably kill me for angering Olivia," said Jacob.
"No way. She'll probably be jumping at the prospect of Olivia being angry at you and will want to take you to Olivia so that she can see Olivia completely destroy you. She worships her."
"When you put it that way. This plan seems even more terrible."
"Well, we spent twelve minutes sneaking around to get here. No point in leaving now."
Kazuma knocked on the door. The door was immediately opened by Molly, whose face fell as she realized the knocker wasn't Olivia.
"What do you want?" asked Molly.
Kazuma pushed Jacob back, signaling that he should be speaking. "So, my friend Jacob here kind of ticked off Olivia with his Unovan Pokémon, and now she's hunting him. So we had an idea that maybe if she was distracted by a hobby or something, she wouldn't be focusing her energy on chasing Jacob. But of course we don't know much about Olivia, so we decided to ask an expert."
Molly brightened instantly. "Well you came to the right place! Even though watching Olivia completely decimating Jacob would be fun, I'll help."
"This is a terrible idea." muttered Jacob.
"Anyways, she doesn't have a lot of hobbies. She loves terrorizing people." Jacob facepalmed. "And she likes painting and drawing."
"See, perfect! So just go up to her and suggest painting or something," said Kazuma. "But whatever you do, do not mention the real reason why you want to paint with her. Or she'll immediately figure out that it was a setup. I already told her that I didn't know where Jacob could be."
"Sheesh, just because I idolize Olivia doesn't mean I'm a completely mindless idiot."
"Debatable." muttered Kauma.
"Or, I could just forget this entire idea and burn you to ashes with my Charizard. Why do you think my nickname is Crimson? Another thing I could do is turn you both into Olivia and leave you to explain the fact you lied to her. Doing that would also benefit me in two would be very happy with me, and I could get you two losers to stop bothering me."
"Yep, okay, we understand. Thank you!" shouted Jacob as he grabbed Kazuma and ran off.
Molly watched them go and chuckled. "Boys, always hurrying off as soon as a lady issues a threat. Makes you wonder what the superior gender is."
"Gyarados, Bulldoze!"
"Dodge it and use Shadow Ball!"
Devon's Gyarados charged at Lucas, Gabrielle's Lucario in a rush of earth. Lucas leaped over Gyarados and readied a Shadow Ball.
"Not this time! Aqua Tail!"
Gyarados whipped his tail and slammed it into Lucas. Lucas went flying and hit the wall, fainting.
"And that's an effective way to counter a Pokémon's attack. Having moves that'll cover all sides. My Gyarados has Bulldoze and Hurricane for hitting a wide berth of enemies, Crunch for strong frontal damage, and Aqua Tail for hitting Pokémon above or behind."
Gabrielle sighed and shook her head. "I don't understand why you have to turn a friendly training match into an opportunity to brag about your skills."
"Untrue! I'm teaching a class about Pokémon battling because they said themselves they're not too good at it."
"I'll kindly dispute what you said. I said that I don't battle too often." interjected Wilhelm.
"Not doing something often is one of the biggest reasons for skill deterioration. You want to do something often so you can get better at it. There is another factor to that philosophy. If you do something and it's too easy, you'll get bored and stop doing it. If something is too hard, you'll not want to do it due to the difficulty of the task. You'll want to find the middle ground. We can't have people who aren't good at battling on the mission branch. I hope you guys are taking notes!"
Maggie nodded and continued writing Devon's words on a notepad she'd picked up. It was only because Devon prompted her to be here that she was there. Otherwise, she'd probably have been doing something by herself.
"Fine, continue with your class then. Go, Snellie."
"Alright, this thing most likely has Storm Drain. Hurricane!"
"Ice Beam!"
The move was lost to the Hurricane as it picked up Snellie and threw her across the room. She laid there, still.
"A single attack and it's already defeated? That can't be possible. Gyarados, Crunch!"
Gyarados flew forward and opened its jaws, only for Snellie to open its mouth and shoot Ice Beam directly down the gaping maw. The Gyarados struggled as ice formed in its throat, prompting Devon to return the poor Pokémon.
"And that is just one way to fool your opponent. Using moves like Rest and Sleep Talk." taunted Gabrielle.
"Huh, nice trick. Maybe it was my fault for expecting your Pokémon to be so weak. Couldn't help but think that from your Lucario."
"Oh, so you're going to act like that huh?"
"I hate to break up this friendly discussion but the four of you are needed," said an executive branch member, walking into the room.
They returned their Pokémon and gave each other a glare before following the executive branch member. Maggie and Wilhelm also got up and followed the executive branch member.
Ten minutes later
Everyone from the mission branch and the executive branch were gathered in the meeting room. Molly waved to one of the executive branch members who merely nodded in response. Once everyone had taken a seat, the executive branch leader began.
"First, as to answer the question that I'm sure is forming on everyone's mind. Lady has decided that the rest of the executive branch should know what's going on with Operation: Resurgence. Next-"
"Yay, now we can have more people shouting at our heads on what to do." cheered Kazuma.
"Next, I would like everyone to stay quiet while I give out the details for the next mission. According to our scientists. We are going to need special parts for the machine. This includes a special frequency sonar dish."
"A sonar dish?" asked Devon.
"Yes, Groudon lives far away in an unknown area. The purpose of the dish is to amplify the energy waves of the Blue Orb to awaken Groudon."
"Sounds like science fiction bs to me," said Gabrielle.
"Quick question. How come we're using the Blue Orb to awaken Groudon rather than Kyogre?" asked Molly.
"We're following the way Team Magma did it. For the powers of these Orbs are unknown. Besides, summoning Kyogre and putting him in contact with the Blue Orb will put him in his Primal State, making things a lot more difficult. We already have plans to control Groudon after we summon him."
"That makes sense."
"Another detail you haven't put in is, where we're supposed to steal it?" asked Marlow.
"I was getting to that. You'll be heading to the Voyanna City space station."
"I love Voyanna City! Most of our decent robberies are centered there!" cheered Kazuma. "Seems oddly convenient."
"Maybe it has to do with the fact that it's the largest city and the capital of the Calzie region? Maybe, I don't really know? It'd take a genius who studied a map for hours." answered Gabrielle.
"Well actually, you're correct. Voyanna City is the largest city in the Calzei region and the capital. The second smallest City is Barius City, but it is known for its major drug dealings. Compared to Voyanna City, there's less gang and criminal activity," said Wilhelm.
"Thanks for the lesson. But I was being sarcastic."
"Oh."
The executive branch leader leaned towards one of the members.
"This, is what I have to deal with," he said.
"I'm kind of worried about the fact we're now allowed to be here. These people will drive me crazy in days."
They both nodded as they watched the mission branch bickering with each other. At least, some of them.
Twenty minutes later
They had all piled into a truck with Jacob at the wheel, they were driving casually through the streets. Their truck lacked the silver G of the Gamma Team. Which helped attract less attention since it was the middle of the day.
"I honestly don't understand why we have to rob stuff in the daylight," said Devon.
"If the Gamma Team wants something done, they get it done immediately," said Molly.
"Thanks for the insight Molly, but is that actually true or are you just guessing?"
"Of course it's true! My dad said so."
"Are we supposed to know who your dad is?" asked Wilhelm. "For I don't think I've ever met him before."
"Yeah you're supposed to know. He's part of the executive branch!"
"Great, I hope you don't follow after him. Because if anyone is going to be the leader, it's not you," said Kazuma.
"The clear choice is me for my-"
"Shut up Devon." interrupted Olivia. "Since everyone is clearly dying to speak. Why don't you answer this question. If you could choose a time to die, when would it be?"
"Before you asked the question," said Jacob.
"Before I made a groundbreaking discovery on mega evolution," said Marlow.
"A few days after I become the champion. So everyone remembers me as one of the strongest champions ever, who sadly didn't get to show his true power on many other challengers who thought they had a chance," said Devon.
"But Devon. You can't live until you die then. Because you can't live forever." countered Kazuma.
Devon glared at Kazuma, who just gave a mischievous smile.
"Since the rest of us probably don't want to answer your absurd question. Why don't we play a game? Maybe guess the Pokémon?" suggested Gabrielle.
"Okay, I'll start first. I have it in mind," said Olivia.
"Can this Pokémon be lethal in any way?" asked Jacob.
"Of course."
"Does anyone in the mission branch use it? Or its evolved form?" asked Kazuma.
"Yes."
"Does it have any alternate forms? Mega, regional, or different looks?" asked Wilhielm.
"Yes."
"I got it! Is it Sneasler?" asked Gabrielle.
"Nope."
"Why would it be Sneasler? Sneasler is the evolution of a Pokémon that has a regional form," said Marlow.
"Well I'm sorry, but no one else has a Pokémon that's lethal!"
"That's because you're only thinking of poison types. It's Sliggoo."
"That's correct Marlow!"
Everyone, save for Kazuma, Wilhelm, Maggie, and Marlow stared at Olivia.
"I have an explanation for that," said Kazuma. "Sliggoo's Pokédex entry states that it traps its prey and dissolves it."
"That's nice. I'll go next," said Jacob.
"Does it have any alternate forms? Mega, regional, or different looks?" asked Wilhielm.
"No."
"Was it discovered in the regions Kanto, Johto, or Hoenn?" asked Marlow.
"Yes."
"Was it discovered in Johto?" asked Maggie.
"Yes."
"Is it Azumarill?" asked Olivia.
"No."
"Is it weak to rock?" asked Wilhelm.
"Yes. Very weak actually."
"I know! It's Ho-oh!" shouted Molly.
"Correct."
"Now, I have one that'll make your head spin," said Marlow.
Thirty minutes later
The trip to the Voyanna City space station took a long time. They had given up guess the Pokémon after they all got stumped, save for Wilhelm, by Marlow's chosen Pokemon Minior. After that, Marlow was the only one to guess Xurkitree. This caused outrage from Kazuma who argued that it was a bundle of wires, not a Pokémon.
They were hiding at the side of the space station, trying to form a plan.
"No no, me, Devon and Molly should steal the master key. Imagine all the guards we'll have to face. It only makes sense for the strongest to undertake this mission," said Kazuma.
Everyone else looked at Molly dubiously except for Olivia and Kazuma.
"I agree. But of course we're going to need someone to disable the security systems. Any takers?" asked Olivia.
"I'll do it." offered Maggie.
"I'll go along," said Gabrielle.
"Okay, then it settled. Devon, Molly, and Kazuma will steal the master key to activate the sonar. Maggie and Gabrielle will disable the security system while me, Jacob, Marlow, and Wilhelm steal the sonar. Remember, we only get into position until Gabrielle and Maggie give us the go ahead. Once I activate the loop, you guys will have twenty five minutes to disable the security system."
They all nodded. Olivia activated the camera loop and gave a thumbs up. They all climbed up to a window and jumped through.
"Okay guys. Good luck. We'll be waiting for your signal," said Jacob.
"Jeez, this is a robbery, not a life-or-death mission to save the world," said Gabrielle.
She and Maggie went off into the space station. They were careful not to get spotted by any guards or security cameras, often ducking behind space equipment. They managed to reach a safe hiding spot where they decided to stay for a bit.
"I always wondered. Do you have any family?" asked Maggie.
Gabrielle froze for a moment. "Well yeah, just an adoptive father and a brother."
"No mother?"
"Well, I never had an adoptive mother. And my real mother was just a drug obsessed person who didn't really want children."
"Oh, my parents died when I was little and my aunt didn't really care for me much. Just gave me food and a place to stay. She expected me to do everything else for her and not complain about it."
Gabrielle sighed. "Times in this region are tough. Everyone expects you to be a good citizen. That includes not speaking out and keeping your toes off the line. The government expects everyone to follow suit in their example. Michael told me all about it."
"Is that your brother?"
"No, he was my boyfriend. Until the Oak Agency killed him."
"I'm sorry, I didn't know."
"It's okay. He was part of a Pokémon gang."
"There were two gangs arrested five days ago. Was he-"
"No, it happened a long time ago. I'm pretty much over it now. Anyways, the patrols should have gone to the other side. Let's go."
They left their hiding spot and continued their way to the security room. As they were going, they heard conversations from two people.
"Man, I hate having to monitor the cameras," came one voice. The speaker
sounded like a woman.
"Me too. Why do they need two people?" asked the second person. Sounding like a man
"Paranoia. You know what this region is like. Gangs, evil teams, you name it."
"Still, the room is dusty and has poor air conditioning."
"Might as well suck it up and do our jobs."
Gabrielle peered over the edge and saw two security guards and their Pokémon eating lunch. There was a Boltund and a Banette.
She looked back at Maggie. "Think your Gengar can put both of them to sleep."
"No, the two Pokémon would surely interfere."
Gabrielle pulled out a pokéball. "Hopefully, we can take em' out before raising an alarm. Go, Lucas!"
"Out, Absol!"
The two security guards whipped around as the two Pokémon were sent out. The lady reached for her radio, only to have it blown off by an Aura Sphere.
"Boltund, Thunder Fang!"
"Lucas, Aura Sphere!"
Lucas leaped away from the Boltund as he fired an Aura Sphere. Boltund attempted to avoid the move, and failed.
"Marianna, Shadow Punch!"
"Absol, Sucker Punch."
The Banette's fist became cloaked in shadow. It was about to charge forward and attack when Maggie's Absol came flying forward, striking it.
"Dark Pulse!"
Absol immediately fired a wave of dark energy before Marianna had a chance to recover. The Banette went flying into her trainer, the two tumbling over each other.
"Boltund, Fire Fang!"
"Dodge it and use Aura Sphere."
Lucas twisted and dodged Boltund as it lunged for him. He fired his ball of Aura right as Absol slammed into the Boltund with Quick Attack.
"Boom, easy win," said Gabrielle. "Now you better stand down before I tell Lucas to smack you with an Aura Sphere."
The man had other ideas, he slowly put his hands up. But he was slowly stepping toward Gabrielle. Lucas saw this and quickly cut him off by back handing the man. Lucas stepped in front of Gabrielle and growled.
"I'm fine Lucas. Thanks for the concern." Gabrielle walked up to the unconscious man and pulled out a keycard. She nodded towards Maggie and stepped into the security room. They quickly shut off the security and pinged the rest of the mission branch with their radios.
"We sent the signal, so our job is done. Let's quickly drag these guys to their seats," said Gabrielle.
"My Gengar knows Confuse Ray." offered Maggie.
"That plus the fact we never appeared on camera should make them forget about us."
"That's the signal, let's go," said Molly.
"Good thing we're already here," said Devon.
Kazuma stepped forward and pressed the open button on a big steel door. The door locks opened and made way to a long corridor. They walked through the corridor and made it to the end.
"Wait a minute. The safe isn't affected by the security system." noted Devon.
"This is why I have this," said Molly. She pulled out a small bottle filled with strange pink liquid. She sprayed it on the keypad and counted to twenty. She pulled out a flashlight and pointed the small beam of black light and pointed it onto the keys.
"Woah!" exclaimed Kazuma. Some of the keys were now glowing with fingerprints.
Molly smiled. "I love this thing. I can use it to access Olivia's room and hang out there forever."
"If Olivia purposely put a keypad, I don't think she'd want you to stalk her there," said Kazuma.
"Shut up." Molly pressed the glowing keys and opened the safe door. She took the key and turned around. When she did, she was met by three security guards.
"I'm not even going to bother with my sarcastic congrats speech. Go, Trevenant!"
"Go, Seismitoad!"
"Let's go, Slurpuff!"
"Here we go again! Go, Swampert!" shouted Kazuma.
"Are you stupid? That's a grass type!" shouted Devon. "Go, Gyarados!"
"Come on out, Charizard!"
"I'll take the Trevenant! Liquidation!"
"You're doing this on purpose aren't you? Gyarados, Aqua Tail!"
"Trevenant Power Whip!"
"Charizard, Flamethrower!"
"Slurpuff, Play Rough!"
"Seismitoad, Earthquake!"
Molly's Charizard flew ahead, breathing Flamethrower over the Slurpuff. Devon's Gyarados slammed the Slurpuff with Aqua Tail, sending the Pokémon flying across the room. The Seismitoad slammed its hands on the ground, but the move missed both Charizard and Gyarados.
Swampert slammed into the Trevenant. It stepped back and flung huge whips around Swampert. One of the vines hit Swampert and caused him to glow green as his attack was boosted.
"It's called Sap Sipper. Swampert, Earthquake!"
Swampert slammed the ground and created a massive shock. The boosted attack dealt loads of damage as the Slurpuff fainted.
"I see now. Gyarados, Crunch!"
"Flamethrower!"
The Gyarados clamped his jaws on the Seismitoad as Molly's Charizrd flew over to the Trevenant and unleashed Flamethrower.
"No, Trevenant! The Gamma Team and their imported abilities!"
"Why don't you come and join? Swampert, Earthquake!"
"Charizard, Dragon Rush!"
Swampert sent another Earthquake that ruptured the ground on a path towards the Seismitoad. Charizard dashed towards the same Pokémon and slammed into it. The Seismitoad crumpled over and fainted
"All right now. Flamethrower!"
Devon looked confused. "But we defeated all three Pokémon."
Devon caught on quickly as Molly's Charizard flew after the security guards, fire streaming from his mouth. The guards ran split up and ran in panic as the Pokémon threatened to burn them to ashes.
"Are you crazy!"
"They call me Crimson for a reason. Now let's go!"
Kazuma looked back at the helpless security guards. "Hate to say-"
"Ugh, you guys are such wimps." Molly huffed and returned her Charizard. "At least we have the master key. I'm sure Olivia and the others got the rest of the mission."
Olivia and everyone else happened to be running. Jacob, Wilhelm, and Marlow were carrying the sonar dish and were trying to run as fast as they could. Olivia was in the front, leading them through the many hallways.
About fifteen guards were chasing after them. The guards were slowly catching up due to the weight all three men were carrying.
"Can't you slow them down with Trick Room?" asked Jacob.
"At the speed they're going at, they'll just speed up!" answered Marlow.
"But we're all going pretty fast!"
"Relative to a lot of Pokémon, no."
"Well, how do we slow them down?"
"I got it!" shouted Olivia. "Go, Congelatio!"
The Froslass appeared and saw the onslaught of guards. Without Olivia's command, she gave a mischievous smile and used Spikes. The guards slowed down and hopped weirdly as they tried to avoid the sharp Spikes.
"Alright! Return!"
They kept running. Jacob started complaining about the fact his hands hurt. He would have kept whining, but they were intercepted by five other guards. The noise of pokéballs opening filled the hallway as the five guards, plus the fifteen in the back, sent out their Pokémon.
"Surrender now."
Marlow let go of the sonar, causing Jacob to groan as he had to carry more weight.
"Advance, Sketch."
Jacob's eyes grew wide as the Mimikyu appeared. "Don't tell-"
"Use your Omega power."
Marlow turned his watch as power began to flow into Mimikyu. The guards and their Pokémon stood tense as they watched the process.
"Cease your actions now or-"
He never finished his sentence as Mimikyu rose into the air, an evil laugh echoing throughout the room. Attacks flew at the doll and did nothing. Black arms shot out and grabbed the guards and their Pokémon into his body. He then flopped onto the floor and shook.
"What the-"
Olivia never finished her sentence as Jacob put a finger to his lips, pointing at Sketch. The Mimikyu sent his captive sprawling on the floor. The guards white with shock while the Pokémon had fainted. Marlow took out his now patented Lock Ball and threw it at Sketch, who was giggling on the floor as an evil aura surrounded it.
The ball seemed to take forever before its gauge flashed green and turned black. The gauge however didn't immediately start to fill up.
Marlow picked up the ball and dropped it into his pocket as if nothing happened.
Olivia went over and prodded a guard with her foot. "They look lovely, but are they dead?"
"Of course not. They'll wake up in an hour with no memory of what happened. They'll wake up with their natural skin color. I suspect their brains will be working overtime to fill in the gaps of our escape. Let's just forget this ever happened."
"How come this is my first time hearing about this Omega power?" asked Wilhelm.
"Two reasons. I invented Omega power and wanted to keep it quiet before other people wanted their own Omega powers. And second, I don't use it often because repeated use causes the Pokémon to get stronger and wilder. Which is why I have to use a Lock Ball after each use. It's patented by the way."
"So any Pokémon with a signature Z-crystal can use Omega power."
"Precisely. But the materials to make one are hard to come by."
"Anyways, let's forget about nightmare Mimikyus and get going," said Jacob.
Fifteen minutes later
Soon, the mission branch were in their truck, relinquishing the success of their mission.
"The look on the guy's face was so funny when he realized I had Sap Sipper," said Kazuma.
"Isn't there a downfall for adding special abilities and moves?" asked Marlow.
"Yeah, for Swampert, if he gets hit by a grass move twice, he just faints."
"I'll keep that in mind," said Jacob.
"So anyways. Wanna play guess the Pokémon?" asked Wilhelm.
The answer to his question was a collective no.
An hour later
Marlow was sitting in his lab. An Altaria was lying asleep on a table, wires trailing off the Pokémon into various machinery. He put a keystone in one of the machines, and pressed the start button.
Energy flowed through the wires into the Altaria. It twisted and gave a shriek as it started to glow in a pale rainbow color. The color faded and left the Altaria in its normal form.
Marlow growled and kicked the machine. He sighed and stormed out of his office. Clearly, trying to surpass a trainer's bond between them and a Pokémon to mega evolve was difficult. In his anger, he failed to notice the silver bracelet with three stones on the floor.
So that's the end of the chapter! Sorry about this particular chapter taking a long time despite the fact it's less words than the average chapter. I unfortunately will take longer to post more chapters due to some things I have to do. Just a heads up, I'll be unable to work on my stories in the month of July.
