Hey guys, I know I'm supposed to make an episode next, but since I have a cliffhanger and an unexplained part of the plot, I'm going to make two chapters consecutively. I hope you aren't disappointed.

Elaine's POV

I watched on a tree as the champion and a bunch of his buddies fooled around in a lake. I was pretty surprised at how young the champion looked, but what can I say, the only thing I follow is the black market.

Unfortunately, my plan to get inside the mansion involved the lake. It didn't take tagging fifty cameras to figure that I would need a Plan E to get inside.

I watched as the champion himself water skied attached to a mega Gyarados. I sighed and tossed a small diamond up and down.

The diamond wasn't one of the many I've stolen. I had decided to play a trick on the Gamma Team, out of good fun of course. Since I was the backbone of their entire operation, I pretty much got whatever I wanted as long as it was necessary to the mission.

Using some scientific nonsense I got from the internet, I was able to prove that I needed a small but extremely pure diamond. Apparently, diamonds have the ability to strengthen lasers. I fortunately knew someone who would pay a hundred thousand for my diamond.

Finally, after some time, the champion left with his friends. I leaped down the tree and started reviewing my plan as I walked to where I buried my equipment. A plan can go wrong anywhere.

I had made a very detailed map of the entire mansion and the surrounding area using surveillance, scanners, and other things. The mansion had its own water system, a pretty interesting one in fact.

First, I would go to a camera I disabled and replace the SD card with my virus override chip. Once inserted, the virus would slowly download itself. Since the cameras were all connected by one system, it would download to all cameras. Once I input the code onto my phone, all cameras will be fed a loop for twenty minutes, allowing me to walk past them without detection.

Next, I would put on my Gamma suit, which is a very ingenious name, and sneak into the water treatment plant. The suit was waterproof, heatproof, and was made out of low friction material. I also had a small breathing apparatus.

Then, I would go into the wastewater tube. The water inside the tube comes from the sewers underneath the mansion. The sewers had maintenance walkways that lead directly into the mansion's furnace room.

Lastly, I would input the code, sneak to the Master Ball's location, steal it, and then teleport out of there. A solid plan, only took me three weeks to come up with.

I pulled out my suit and put it one, I then gathered all my other supplies. A handheld laser, a disposable Gamma Team phone, my mini breathing apparatus, a pocket knife, night vision goggles, fingerprint tape and spray, and my grip claws, which I hooked onto a belt.

Now that I was all set, I headed towards a storage shed on the perimeter of the mansion. I had disabled the one camera there since no one really cared about the place. I looked around for any guards before inserting the chip. The light blinked green once, telling me that the override has started.

I looked around me one more time before heading off to the treatment plant.

Ten minutes later

The plant was a pretty high traffic area, even in the evening. People were bustling about, carrying vials of water and testing material. I watched them from a high point on the rafters.

The entire process of the plant was not automated unfortunately. People were constantly going back and forth between all the water basins. I spotted the basin that collected water directly from the mansion and slowly made my way towards it.

Sneaking around on top of rafters isn't as easy as it seems like in the movies. Even when you're crawling, it's hard to keep your balance. The fact that you need to shift your weight at every slight creak makes it even harder.

I looked at my spot and the basin. I sighed; this was going to be a long time.

I would have tried going at night, but working in the evening is actually better. The reason for this is that important places like banks and jewelry stores close around eight. During that time, the day guards are getting ready to relieve their places to the night guards in about thirty minutes.

At this time, the guards are tired and unalert, the perfect time for sneaking around. Even thieving experts need to take every advantage possible.

Another perk of operating in the evening is that robberies can take an extremely long time. Sometimes, you need to bail because it's getting light out. Working in the evening gives you extra time.

Eventually, I made it to the basin. I had my breathing apparatus on and was ready to enter, had there not been any employees milling around.

I sat there, crouched on the rafters, waiting for the perfect opportunity.

Twenty minutes later

The perfect opportunity came when someone called for a wrap up. All the employees slowly streamed out of the building, turning off the lights as they left. I waited a few moments before lowering myself into the basin.

The water, unfortunately, was pretty dirty. The water had no treatment and hadn't been tested for any dangerous bacteria. Water was still flowing through the pipe from the mansion.

"Who's still using so much water at this time? Rich people can be so wasteful." I muttered out loud.

I swam upwards and took out one of my grip claws. I put it on one of my arms. I stuck to the wall and took out my handheld laser. I started trying to cut through the grate, but to no avail.

"Damn it. Why do they make their grates so strong?"

I kept this up for a few more minutes, only for me to cut a few inches through. I paused there for a moment, an idea came to my mind and I took out the diamond with my free hand, passing it to the arm stuck to the wall.

I took a deep breath and pointed the laser through the diamond. The improvement was immediately noticeable. In a few minutes, I successfully was able to cut through the metal grate.

I removed my grip claw and pulled myself upwards after removing the grate. I chuckled to myself at the fact that my excuse for having the diamond turned out to be helpful. Too bad I'm still keeping it.

I swam through the pipe squeezing through tight places. My air would only last for fifteen minutes, so I had to move fast.

I encountered a few more grates throughout my swim, these ones weren't as strong so I cut them easily with the help of the diamond to save time. By the time I made it to the end, I had 4 minutes and 17 seconds of air left. Unfortunately, the grate leading to the sewers was as strong as the grate in the basin.

I didn't waste any time cursing and started cutting the grate, minutes ticked by quickly. My breathing apparatus flashed red, warning me that I had a minute of air remaining. A third of the grate remained.

My air ran out right when I was finishing up with the grate. I held my breath and kicked the grate out. I swam as fast as I could, my lungs bursting as I finally broke the murky surface. I tore off my apparatus and took long, deep breaths.

I pulled myself onto the surface and removed my Gamma suit. The Gamma Team would be extremely annoyed. These suits were hard to manufacture and weren't handed out freely on missions. But it was necessary, I couldn't go into the mansion smelling like literal trash.

I crossed to the exit of the maintenance sewers and peeked through the sewer cover; I was met with a boiling furnace room.

I slowly opened the next door and carefully avoided the three workers in the room. Making sure they wouldn't detect me; I slowly eased the door open and went through.

As my reconnaissance had proven, there were no security cameras in this hallway, so I pulled out my phone and activated the code. My phone gave a green flash, telling me the override was successful.

I snuck through the rest of the mansion, avoided patrols and made as little sound as possible. The Master Ball was located somewhere in the mansion's game room. According to the signal receiver, it was apparently in a wall.

I moved slowly and carefully as I made my way to a staircase. I dreaded staircases as the ones in big buildings were in closed spaces. Not closed off enough to make me uncomfortable, but enough that every step you make is echoed loud enough for people outside to hear. This however, works in my favor as I can hear anybody coming quite easily.

I soon traversed the stairs, only coming to one close call with a half-asleep secretary. I pushed open the next door and made my way to the game room.

The game room was extremely large with foosball tables, pool tables, dart boards, arcade machines, and even professional gaming consoles. Had I cared enough, I could have gotten one of these myself.

My next task was to figure out how to get to the Master Ball. I examined the wall where it should be, and found that the wall was actually a panel. I really hoped I wouldn't have to beat a game high score or something like that to open it.

As I poked and prodded around, I heard footsteps and two voices in the hallway, I looked around for places to hide. And then I looked up.

No One's POV

The champion and his head guard walked into the room in the middle of a conversation.

"And the Oak Agency is a hundred percent sure that these sources are accurate?" asked the champion. He seemed to be about twenty-two of age. Slightly dark skin, short black hair, and a diagonal scar that lined up with his right eyebrow. He was wearing astronaut pajamas.

"Both were deemed trustworthy. One of them was a scientist who used to work there, and the other was an elite branch of special operatives," said the guard. He was wearing default secret service clothing.

"Okay, but if someone did try to steal the Master Ball, I'm sure the high security measures you continuously hound me to add would have caught them."

"There's always the chance they hired a really professional thief. Didn't they already steal the Blue Orb?"

"What I understood was that the islanders let them walk straight into the temple where it was held."

"It wouldn't hurt to check."

"Okay, go check, but make sure you save things like this for the morning next time."

"But the Oak Agency said it was urgent."

"Then tell them next time to send urgent messages in the morning! Good night, I'm leaving," said the champion as he turned and started walking away.

"I need your fingerprint to open the safe, remember?"

"Ugh right. I'm taking this out of your paycheck."

"Fine, but this is for your own good.

The wall panel slid open, revealing a wall. The champion walked up to the wall and placed his index finger on the top right corner. Another panel on the wall opened, revealing the safe.

He pressed the combination keys and pulled open the safe. Inside, there were a lot of enticing treasures, including the Master Ball.

"See, still there. Good night."

"We still have to verify this is real."

"That's a long and complicated process, let's do it later."

"Not really, can you bring a scale please?"

"Get it yourself."

The guard sighed and went to a cabinet. He pulled out a big beaker and a scale. He put water in the beaker and dropped the Master Ball into the beaker. After getting the density, he dried it off and weighed it.

"Everything checks out. But it won't hurt to up the security, I'm going to change the pins."

"Ah come on! It's not like there's a thief watching us! Let's go to sleep!"

"Okay okay. Good night Mark."

"Good night Samuel."

Samuel turned off the lights and left the room with the champion. Neither of them were aware that Elaine had been watching everything.

Elaine's POV

Thankfully, they didn't notice me hanging onto the ceiling. They also didn't notice the video game case on the floor either. I deactivated my grip claws and landed on the carpeted rug. I went over to the light switch and flipped it in the same code.

The panel, as expected, flipped open. Very carefully, I spray a part of the inner wall with the fingerprint spray. I kept spraying along the wall until I got an isolated fingerprint similar to the ones on the top right corner. I took out a bit of fingerprint tape and spread it over the fingerprint, pressing down hard.

I counted to fifteen before removing the tape. Nodding at my work, I wrapped the tape around my own index finger, making sure to orient it properly. I took a deep breath and pressed my finger on the spot.

The panel opened and revealed the safe. I quickly put in the fourteen digit pin and opened the safe door.

The master ball sat there, I gingerly picked it up and stashed it away. I closed the door and left the game room. I unfortunately would need another exit.

I set up my emergency plan and started sneaking throughout the mansion, but I didn't get far when I heard a voice.

"Going somewhere?"

A bunch of guards appeared from a room, holding weapons and pokéballs.

"One thing you didn't know is that removing the Master Ball alerts all guards. The head guard notified us about him and the champion removing it for verification, but not twice. We caught you now."

Hmm, I didn't anticipate that, but this guy was just blabbering. He wasn't going to catch me, I had a back up plan.

"Well congrats for you. Go, Katraz!"

They opened their own pokéballs, but I knew they wouldn't be fast enough.

Katraz immediately understood what I needed and teleported. I didn't get very far though. I found myself in some sort of storage room, it was very exempt, other than five guards and their Pokémon. In the middle near where I teleported, an Alakazam.

"Thunder Wave!" came a voice.

I immediately snapped to attention. "Kinesis!"

The Thunder Wave, which had come from a Manectric, bended in mid-air and away from me and Katraz. I leaped back and sent out my two other Pokémon, Stiele and Gaol.

"Katraz, Disable!"

Katraz used Disable on the Manectric, preventing further use of Thunder Wave. The other four Pokémon attack. The Alakazam used Shadow Ball aimed at Stiele while a Passimian and a Galade both leapt at Gaol. Both my Pokémon dodged the attacks and awaited my command.

"One day I'll do a one v one. Stiele, Shadow Sneak! Gaol, Dark Pulse!"

The Dark Pulse was dodged by all Pokémon except a Snorlax lumbering in the corner. A rush of shadows hit the Alakazam, knocking it off ballast as I exploited its weak physical defense.

"We need reinforcements at storage B2. Passimian, use Knock Off!"

"Flash Cannon!"

Stiele emitted a bright beam of light, warding off the Passimian attack. The Gaol was trying to fend off the Manectric and Snorlax while the Alakazam and the Passimian attacked Stiele.

I knew my Pokémon wouldn't be able to win, but I just needed to defeat the Alakazam so I could teleport away. The guards however came to this conclusion.

"Focus the Kadabra!" shouted on guard.

I knew this was my time to return Katraz. I held up my Pokéball and started to return Katraz.

"Pursuit!"

As soon as the dreaded word was spoken, I knew that everything was going to go from bad, to worse. The Snorlax suddenly seemed to snap awake. Dark energy surrounded it as it rushed at Katraz while I returned her to her ball.

Katraz immediately fainted from the force of the hit. I turned and ran up the stairs of the storage room, risking returning Stiele and Gaol to their pokeballs.

The guards chased me up the stairs, dread filled my stomach as five other guards came running down the stairs. I ran faster and leaped. I managed to catch the railing and make a clumsy jump from there over the guards. I painfully banged my face against the wall and kept on moving.

Guards chased me throughout the mansion, shouting into radios and sending out Pokémon. I kept climbing staircase after staircase. I eventually made it all the way up to the living room upstairs.

"I figured you'd escape this way."

Standing right there, was the champion.

"I'll admit, you made it pretty far. But all of that ends now, hand the Master Ball over and go peacefully, or I'll have to do it by force."

Unfortunately for the champion, I always think a step ahead.

"I'll give the Master Ball, but on one condition."

The champion gave a laugh. "I don't see you in the position to be making deals."

I took out the Master Ball, pointing at a device I had put on the top. "This is a bomb, and I have a remote that once activated, will cause this Master Ball to explode."

"You wouldn't dare!"

"I would actually. Now listen, once I get a mile away, the bomb will automatically deactivate itself. Any attempt to remove it will also set off the bomb. So, try to take me and I'll detonate it, or let me walk free and get the Master Ball."

"If what the Oak Agency said is correct, you need the Master Ball for Operation: Resurgence, so whether or not I let you walk free, you still lose what you need."

Damn, it looks like someone was a mole. Whoever it was could wait, I needed to get out of here. "True, but I don't think you'd want to see your precious trophy go boom. Even if it does, there are other Master Balls out there, the Gamma Team never fails to get what they need."

I was probably a bit too dramatic there, but it seems the champion was considering what I was saying. However, I notice guards moving forward behind me.

"I'm giving you three seconds. Three, two…"

There it was, the champion moved his hand toward his side slightly while moving his other hand upwards. I sprang forward and almost made it to the balcony when the light of a Pokémon being sent out flashed behind me.

"Lopunny, stop her!"

I had no other option except to leap. I shielded my face as I sent myself flying through the window, smashing it as shards of glass flew out everywhere.

I threw the Master Ball behind me and detonated it. Heat washed over my body as I tumbled through the night.

Ten minutes later

I thanked Arceus that my Honedge was much larger than normal, but hanging onto a giant blade isn't exactly painless. I rubbed my right hand briskly to try and ease the pain.

"Would you stop that?" I asked Stiele. He was just floating there, completely still. His blue eye fixed directly on me.

I returned Stiele and started walking away from the mansion, using Teleport would be too risky. As I walked through the peaceful countryside, I started laughing to myself.

"I wonder if they'll ever realize," I said, tossing the Master Ball up and down.

And that's another chapter done. Sorry about it being pretty short, you can't really have a lot of content with only one main character. For the next few months, story posting may take some time. But I'll be posting multiple chapters in one day.
