Hey guys, welcome to Chapter 20! I never expected this story to go on for so long. Starting from the time I wrote this author's note, it's been 283 days! And it's all thanks to the people who've read the story, left reviews, and submitted OCs. You've really motivated me to continue writing this story. Thank you. I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Juan woke up to his alarm, stretching and getting out of bed. He got up and saw that Katie had already left.

"Have to be early for training I see," he said with a proud smile.

He woke Pio, his Pichu, up from a bed next to the floor and went into the next room.

He walked into the kitchen and found that there was breakfast laid out for him and his Pokémon. He released Raptor from his ball, his only Pokémon who stayed inside their pokéball nowadays.

He let them eat their food while he went outside to the balcony, where Typhlosion, his Serperior, slept. Aisha had told him Typhlosion should be getting lots of fresh air.

"Hey, Typhlosion!" his Serpeior groggily looked at him. "Let's eat your food and head over to the base to have you checked up."

Typhlosion slowly rose up and followed him into the kitchen, where he took out Juan found Typhlosion's medicine already put out. He sat at the table and silently thanked Katie before eating his food.

Thirty minutes later

Juan was walking down the street, eventually finding himself at the Oak Agency base. He smiled and went inside, noticing there was a new receptionist lady at the front desk.

"Hello Carla, Thalia still out?"

"Yes, her father's very sick. We're all praying for him."

Juan nodded. "Is Aisha in?"

"No actually, she's apparently left today again."

"Again?" asked Juan. "I've never noticed."

Carla looked at a calendar on the desk. "Yes, according to Thalia's calendar. Not a day goes by where she doesn't record what happens in the lobby."

"I see. Well that's unfortunate. I was hoping to have Typhlosion checked on."

"That's unfortunate indeed," said Scott, walking in from the next room.

Juan jumped at his voice, stumbling backwards and almost falling.

"Captain! You startled me."

Scott looked thoughtful at this. "People say I have a habit of appearing out of nowhere. Anyways, the reason why Aisha's disappearance is unfortunate is because something important has sprung up. Apparently, a dead body has turned up in Remoraid Harbor, a nasty piece of work it seems. I'd like the entire team to be here however."

"Don't worry!" said Juan, standing up straight. "I'll find her!"

"No need for the formality."

Juan shrugged. "Just seems fitting you know? Anyways. Carla, can you tell me when Aisha left?"

Carla looked at a monitor on her desk. "About three minutes ago. She was wearing her blue skirt and a blue dress rather than her white sweatshirt. I believe she was wearing a green bow rather than a blue one. She was also holding a beige bag with designs of beach waves."

Juan nodded. "Thank you. All I need now is-"

At that moment, Maggie walked into the room. Surprised to see the three of them all standing in the lobby.

"Oh hey Maggie. I'm going to enlist your help."

Three minutes later

Maggie and Juan were walking down the street, asking people if they'd seen someone who matched Aisha's description. So far, they had a general direction of where she went.

"I don't understand," said Maggie. "Why not just call her?"

"She's apparently on 'Do Not Disturb'."

"If she's so busy, then we should let her do her work."

Juan shrugged. "This dead body thing is apparently extremely important, could be linked to the Gamma Team."

Maggie frowned. "I'd figured something like this would happen at one point. Already one person is known for roasting her enemies, and another allegedly targets Plasma Team members-" she paused for a moment. Remembering it was Olivia who'd kidnapped Juan's sister. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean-"

Juan waved it off with a smile. "It's fine, don't worry about it. My sister is back safe and sound, though I can somewhat understand why she attacks Plasma members. But that's a different topic. Let's ask the fruit cart guy across the street. He's probably been there for a long time."

They went to the end of the street and Maggie pressed the signal button. They waited for the never ending traffic to come to a halt as they crossed the street, heading over to the fruit vendor.

"Gotta love the Raticate District," said Juan as he passed by an impatient driver who looked ready to run them over. "The only place downtown where walking gets you places faster than driving."

Maggie sighed. "I don't get all these districts. Aren't we still in Voyanna City?"

"I don't get it either. I think it's just to make zoning and population count easier. Voyanna City is the second biggest city in the world. Second only to Nimbasa City."

"Unovans love all their cities big."

They finished crossing the five lane road and continued walking. They reached the fruit vendor, a smallman who had a few gray wisps of hair.

"Excuse me," said Juan. "I was wondering if you've seen someone in a blue dress, blue skirt, medium length, brown curly hair with a green bow in it."

"She's also holding a beach bag," adding Maggie.

The man looked at them, and so did a Sableye sitting on the stand.

"So what if I have?"

"We'd like you to point where she went," said Juan.

"How do I know you're not stalkers?"

Seeing as how they just started the day, and they weren't on a mission, they weren't wearing their Oak Agency uniform. Juan was wearing a plaid shirt and khaki pants to fit the business style, while Maggie was wearing a tie dye sweater and jeans with the soon to be approaching fall weather.

They did, however, have their badges. Juan pulled his out and showed it to the man.

The man narrowed his eyes. "So you're tailing a criminal."

"No-"

The man backed away. "I ain't getting involved in this! You know what happens? I'll get targeted for giving information! I'll have my name written in the court! I'll be called as a witness! You want me to die?"

Fortunately for the man, Juan had a lot of patience.

"Of course not. You can choose whether or not you'll be called as a witness, the court works to protect witnesses. Either way, Aisha's not a criminal. We're just looking for her because something important has come up."

The man crossed his arms. "Trying to sweet talk me eh? Well it ain't gonna work!"

Before Juan could respond, Maggie stepped forward, a sweet smile on her face.

"Right now, we need our friend to help investigate a criminal investigation that involves a dead body. However, you not telling us where she went could be counted as withholding information in relation to serious crimes. Which, if my memory of the law is correct, which it should be considering my job, can be punished with jail. The details include holding you in jail until you give up the information."

The man stared at her. He turned around and pointed towards another street labeled 'Raticate Avenue twenty four'.

Maggie nodded. "Thank you!"

She turned and walked away. Juan gave the man an apologetic nod before catching up with her.

"That was kind of harsh. You didn't really have to threaten him with jail."

Maggie looked at him. "But I thought that's how good cop bad cop works. You be nice and try to get the information that way, and if that doesn't work, I start pulling out jail threats."

Juan was quiet and thoughtful for a moment. "Well then partner. Onto the next clue!"

Aisha was walking down the street, reaching a medium sized building. The building looked plain, with no outside logos or anything, but it was Aisha's destination nonetheless.

She entered the building, and was met by a receptionist in a waiting room.

"Hello Aisha! Your shoot starts in five minutes, did you bring the ones from last month?"

Aisha nodded, holding up the bag. She gave it to the receptionist, who looked inside the bag.

"Alright then. You know the drill. We'll get you new ones for the shoot. Gotta promote those end of summer sales! I hope you've been keeping your Reclianth in tip top shape."

Aisha laughed. "I'm a Pokémon nurse, I know how to take care of all Pokémon."

Maggie and Juan walked into the building, following another lead from a random passerby. They walked up to the receptionist lady, who greeted them warmly.

"Hello, what can I do for you?"

"I was wondering if a person named Aisha was here."

"Yes, she's in the middle of a photoshoot."

Maggie and Juan exchanged puzzled glances before turning back to the lady. The lady noticed their expressions and frowned.

"Is something the matter?"

Maggie shook her head. "No, we just need Aisha right now."

The lady looked at a clock. "Sorry, I can't do-"

Juan placed his badge on the table. The lady glanced at it, her frown deepening on her face.

"Don't worry, we just need her help investigating something. She works with us."

"Alright then."

They followed the lady down the hall to the photo room. Maggie and Juan looked at each other again.

"This photoshoot thing is new," said Juan.

Maggie giggled. "Maybe she's a model."

Juan shook his head. "I doubt that. I would've heard of it."

"Really," said the lady. "You have a girlfriend?"

"No," said Juan. "Why would you ask that?"

"It's just that, Reynora's is a fashion magazine for ladies. So when you said you'd heard of it, I thought you got clothing for a girlfriend or something."

"I shall withhold my statement," said Juan wisely.

They made it to the recording room and the lady knocked on the door.

"It's extremely important apparently!"

She opened the door, showing Aisha and another woman. Aisha was posing in a swimsuit with her Reclianth and various other water Pokémon while the other woman took pictures.

Aisha turned to the open door, looking surprised to see Maggie and Juan.

"What are you guys doing here?" asked Aisha.

"What are you doing here?" asked Maggie. "We need you."

"Oh, did something important happen?"

Juan stepped into the room, staring at the floor. "Apparently, a dead body was found by a fishing couple in Remoraid Harbor, the body could be linked to the Gamma Team."

Aisha stepped down from the pedestal she was on. "Alright, let me get my normal clothes and we'll head out."

"I have a question," said Maggie. "How long have you been doing this?"

Aisha thought for a moment. "A long time actually. I did it originally to pay for medical school, but I actually liked it. So I stayed."

"Why haven't you told anyone?" asked Juan.

"Because no one asked."

Juan and Maggie exchanged another one of their glances before shrugging.

They were all gathered in the meeting room, Scott had the TV set up and connected to his computer. They were waiting for Aisha to finish her explanation of why she was absent.

"And why didn't you tell anyone?" asked Scott.

Aisha shrugged. "No one asked."

Haruka stared at her before turning to everyone else. "Anyone else have a hobby or side job? I'm asking now."

Joyce raised a hand. "I'm a part time lawyer."

"I collect stuff and paint," said Ellen.

"And I'm a recruitable hacker," responded Victor.

Scott nodded and looked at his smartwatch. "That's nice everyone. But we have more important things here, no offense. Anyways, the forensics came in. The body found in Remoraid Harbor was identified as a man named James Turner."

Scott paused so everyone could let the information sink in.

"Am I supposed to know who that is?" asked Haruka.

"You should. According to his record, he's a known member of Team Rocket and has been arrested twice for unlawful gun possession."

Scott then pulled up James' mugshot. "He's about a year younger in this picture. Anyone recognized him."

Haruka stared at his picture, but Ellen perked up the moment she saw it.

"I know him, he was part of the trade between Team Rocket and the Gamma Team. Me and Haruka were there."

Scott nodded. "A trade that went badly. According to our resources, the trade included an old serum used by Team Rocket in Kanto, and a large sum of money."

Joyce raised a hand. "I don't see how this might be linked to the Gamma Team."

Scott nodded again. "On a surface level, it doesn't. But if you look at the cause of death, it was severe burning. Now if we look at the Gamma Team files that Maggie and Wilhelm provided-"

"Molly Crimson Edgeworth," answered Wilhelm. "She's known as Crimson because she tends to torch her enemies with her Charizard."

"And considering she's devoted to Olivia," continued Maggie. "I wouldn't put her above doing something like this."

"Did the body originate from Remoraid Harbor?" asked Gavin.

"From what we can tell, it was probably dumped there. Probably to hide where he was killed. The surrounding area didn't show any signs of fighting or burns. A lengthy search didn't reveal any bullets, since the gun found on James here had five bullets melted into it, not six. Any possible theories?"

"I know," said Aisha. "He was killed inside a secure building, most likely the Team Rocket base."

"But why would the Gamma Team be in there?" asked Ellen.

"Think about it, they obviously lost some of the serum. Considering their recent activity, they probably needed more than they actually got. The best way to get something is to get it at its source."

"That does make a lot of sense," said Gavin. "But how would the Gamma Team get in? Considering what happened with this trade, I don't think Team Rocket would be too friendly with them."

"The Gamma Team is a criminal network, I bet they have their ways," said Victor. "I'll look on the web to see if I can find anything. Perhaps try to look into their systems."

"Run your algorithm to see if it can connect Team Rocket activity to their base. If we get a general location, it should give us an idea of what happened. I assume it's finished," said Scott.

"Yup! I got Wilhelm's help, so that's a bonus. Anyways, I'll run it. I'm not sure how long it's going to take though. It has to look for-"

"We get it," said Ellen. "I have a question though, couldn't you use the algorithm to try and locate the Gamma Team?"

"Tried and failed. Any recent activity has been all over the region. From the big cities to the small ones. They've committed crimes in Wild Zones, towns, you name it. It's impossible to get an approximate location."

"Either way, our priority is finding out where Team Rocket is. We can connect them with the Gamma Team. Right now, the Gamma Team is being very inactive, either that or they're staying way below the radar. They're planning something, and it can't be good."

"I got something!" said Victor. "Apparently, an unmarked helicopter was found flying over the Remoraid Sea. It was spotted near Furret District, but wasn't spotted near Remoraid Harbor. In fact, that was the only time it was spotted."

"So we can infer that it went on a one way trip," said Wilhelm.

"Exactly, I'll run a scan to look for any buildings around or in the sea, preferably away from Remoraid Harbor."

"You give us the results, we'll go investigate," said Scott.

"I have a question," said Wilhelm. "Where did you get the information of the unmarked helicopter?"

"The data from the Voyanna Airspace System."

"Is that legal?" asked Aisha.

"Under reasonable usage."

As they left the meeting, Juan walked up to Aisha, Typhlosion following him. Aisha turned around and saw them.

"Hey Juan! I suppose you came to me to check up on your Serperior?"

"Yeah, he's been doing better, but I wanted to make sure he was fully healed before I take him on our next mission."

"Of course. I was planning on asking you how he was doing anyway. Follow me."

They walked to Aisha's medical office. Aisha and Thyphlosion entered the examining room while Juan stayed in the waiting room. Inside the examining room. Aisha had a good look at Typhlosion. Noting things like the vibrancy of his leaves, his weight, and also the results of a series of tests she had him do.

After fifteen minutes, she came out of the room with Typhlosion quietly eating a berry in a corner.

"Well! I'm glad to say your Serperior is doing very well. His weight has gone up to average levels, he's much more flexible, and he's looking much healthier."

Juan sighed in relief. "That's amazing! Thank you so much Aisha."

"Thank you for listening to the doctor's advice. He should be ready for a mission, but I suggest you give him some rest for now. I have a feeling we're going to have a mission soon."

"I can agree with that."

Three hours later

Oak Alpha and many members of the Oak Agency were gathered on boats, heading to the Team Rocket base. After lots of investigations, satellite images and whatnot, they had figured out the location of the base.

Their plan was simple. The main Oak Agency would storm the building, apprehending any Team Rocket member they could. Their goal was to try and shut down the entire Team Rocket operation in the Calzei Region.

As for Oak Alpha, their goal was to confiscate any contraband, as well as look for clues with Team Rocket's involvement with the Gamma Team. They'd also be in charge of any interrogations.

"Alright people, we'll be approaching the base in ten minutes. Any last details anyone needs to go over?" asked Scott.

No one said anything, Scott nodded his head and turned back towards the direction they were going.

"Remember people, we're taking anything that can be used against both Team Rocket and the Gamma Team. See if you can take their main computer, or at least the hard drive and motherboard. If we can do that, we could access their systems and dig for more data."

"Why not have Victor hack it remotely?" asked Gavin.

"He tried, they've apparently shut down the main system and made it inaccessible. Victor suspects they expected a cyberattack."

"Hey Scott!" shouted a voice from a nearby boat.

Scott groaned and turned to the sound of the voice. On another boat within leaping distance, a man in a decorated Oak Agency suit was waving at him.

"What is it Cyrus?"

Cyrus raised an eyebrow at him, giving Scott a you're missing something look.

Scott gritted his teeth. "What is it Lieutenant Hash?"

"That's better. Anyways, I wanted to ask if you're working towards your next promotion? Going to be the captain next week?"

"I'll keep working hard till the day you shut up."

Cyrus raised his other eyebrow. "Why so cold Scotty? Didn't we used to be friends? Just because you're in charge of your own special unit doesn't mean you can disrespect me. I still outrank you."

"Used to is the key term. Just remember, you got your promotion. We have our own separate goals, in life and in this mission. You keep to your side, and I'll keep to my own."

"Aw, you're still hurting about my early promotion?"

"The fact you still mention it as if I care is what's annoying. You got the job, and you let it come between us. I said I don't care, and I still don't."

"And yet you're still talking about it. You really seem to not care."

"You brought this up for no reason. What was the point of talking to me about this?"

Cyrus laughed. "I was just making sure you know your place. You've seem to be getting a bigger head these days. Heard about your little party, seems to me you think there's so much to celebrate. Just look at all these headlines about Oak Alpha. You'd think the Oak Agency and Oak Alpha are two entirely separate things."

"Seems to me someone only cares about the press outlook."

Cyrus shook his head. "Fame and money, do we really strive for anything else? Some people get it by creating things, doing heroic deeds, or stooping down to villany. Inwardly, aren't we all the same?"

Scott sighed. "We're approaching the base in a minute, focus on the mission."

"You never change Scott. Always focused on one thing. Tell me this? Why are you working so hard? The only thing you get from that is money and fame, something you seem to be so against."

At this point, the rest of Oak Alpha figured Cyrus was becoming too much. Gavin stepped closer towards the edge of their boat.

"Now listen here lieutenant. I don't know what your problem is, but Scott's right. We have a mission to focus on."

"Besides," said Aisha. "Your argument is pretty pointless."

"And lacks context," added Ellen.

"And you're acting like an obvious twist villain," said Haruka. "What are you going to do? Enslave the world and force your ideals upon everyone. Because that always fails."

Cyrus looked at him. "You, my friend, have been watching too much anime."

"I'm not your friend, and if you're going to be badmouthing Scott like that, then I'm your enemy."

Joyce, being the good tension reliever, stepped forward in a calm, confident manner.

"Lieutenant Hash, I'm sure there's a lot you want to discuss with Scott. Unfortunately though, the Team Rocket base is right in view. I'm sure they'll be time to catch up later though! In a friendly matter of course."

Cyrus pondered for a moment. "Actually, I'm sure we can get in a minute of conversation."

"Actually," said Maggie. "We can't. So I suggest you back off."

Cyrus looked at her. "The ex Gamma Team member. So popular nowadays. I hope you and Wilhelm aren't leaking information. Or maybe you are, such a sudden change of heart is so unrealistic."

"Alright," said Scott, his tone low. "You've crossed the line. The last thing I'll tolerate is you insulting my team."

"Oh yeah? What are you going to do? Pull rank? Challenge me to a Pokémon battle? Oh wait, you can't do either."

"Wilhelm, could you tell me if it's possible for me to jump the gap."

Wilhelm didn't pause for a second. "Considering your physical state. I can confidently say you'd jump the gap with no trouble."

"Good, cause I'm this close to going over there and punching his face."

"I second the notion," said Juan.

Ellen frowned. "Violence isn't the answer."

"I agree with Ellen," said Joyce. "We could debate points."

"If he had an argument to start with," Haruka pointed out.

"I say we give him the silent treatment," said Gavin. "Clearly he's trying to make himself look superior."

"What's his deal anyways?" asked Aisha.

"I'll tell you later," said Scott. "But I agree with Gavin, Ellen, and Joyce."

"Oh would you look at that," said Cyrus. "We're almost there."

Everyone ignored him, causing him to look at them with a smirk on his face.

"What's wrong? Out of witty comebacks, or do you realize my status."

"The only thing we realized is that talking back to you is pointless, that's considering how intelligent you seem," said Haruka. "They say the best way to get smart is to surround yourself with smart people. I believe the opposite is true, which is why we must disassociate ourselves with you."

For the last two minutes of their little trip, all they heard was quiet growling.

They landed on the abandoned military base. They quickly and efficiently unloaded from the boats and onto the main deck. Numerous bursts of white flashes erupted from everywhere as they sent out their Pokémon.

"Team Rocket!" shouted Cyrus. "We know you're hiding in there! Come out with your hands up!"

Oak Alpha waited on their own boat, waiting for the action to start before engaging. Many Pokémon burst out from the reinforced steel doors, immediately attacking the Oak Agency members and their Pokémon.

Cyrus sent out a menacing Blaziken with a circlet around its neck. Cyrus smirked as he held out his wrist and commanded his Pokémon to mega evolve. A rainbow light surrounded the Blaziken as it mega evolved, causing many of their opponents to take a pace back.

"Alright Kennedy! Use Flare Blitz!"

Scott looked at the battlefield, watching it carefully before signaling his team forward.

"They have it mostly covered. Ellen, Aisha, Gavin. You three use your Pokémon to help us force our way inside."

The three of them nodded as they climbed onto the opening of the Team Rocket base. The rest of them followed behind, careful not to get in the crossfire.

"I choose you, Speedy!" shouted Gavin.

"Go, Reclianth!"

"Go, Garchomp!"

The three Pokémon appeared on the base. A few Team Rocket members and their Pokémon noticed them.

"Speedy, disorient them with Earthquake!"

"Join him in the attack Garchomp!"

The two Pokémon did a double Earthquake, knocking the Pokémon and trainers backwards. Reclianth then used Muddy Water, washing the few stragglers away.

"Alright, let's move!"

They rushed past the people before they could recover. Gavin stepped over a fallen Rypherior, looking at the poor Pokémon that had fainted from too many super effective moves.

They made it inside the base, and went down the elevator before anyone could stop them. When they made it to the bottom, Scott turned to address them.

"Alright, from now on we should split into groups to cover more ground."

"Gavin and I will go together," said Aisha immediately.

Gavin looked at her in mild surprise, but didn't offer any argument.

"Alright then. Haruka, Joyce, and I will go together. Juan, Maggie, Ellen. You three go together. Victor and Wilhelm will go together."

Everyone nodded and headed off in different directions. Aisha pulled out her phone and looked at it.

"What are you doing?" asked Gavin.

Aisha showed him her phone, a map of the Team Rocket base. She also pulled out a card from her pocket, one with a barcode on it.

"Did Devon give this to you?" he asked.

She nodded. "The map leads to their restricted area, where all their contraband can be found. The keycard opens it."

"But couldn't giving you all this allow us to trace the evidence back to the Gamma Team?"

"He said that considering what happened, we probably won't find anything."

"How does this relationship even work? What if the Gamma Team found out he's been leaking information?"

"It's complicated. But we still support each other. I'm surprised you haven't accused me of leaking information."

Gavin smiled. "I know better than to accuse team members. We're all trustworthy here. I mean, you didn't try to hide the fact your boyfriend was a Gamma Team member."

"Thank you for trusting me."

"No need to thank me. It's just what's right."

Wilhelm and Victor walked through the hallways, they were walking quickly and quietly, hoping to avoid Team Rocket members.

"I don't mean to offend you," said Wilhelm. "But I feel like I should've been paired with someone else."

"What makes you say that?" asked Victor. "Is it because you think I take too much? Well for your information-"

"It's not that. You see, both of us would rather work in the backgrounds, you get what I mean?"

"Not really. You can't just assume everyone knows what you mean."

"Everyone else in Oak Alpha are good battlers, we just provide support. You with your coding, and me with gadgets and information."

"Oh I get it! Like in your average superhero team. Like how Noivernman usually is up front with his sidekick. But then, he has Alfredo back at his base monitoring stuff."

Wilhelm looked at him blankly. "I don't watch Noivernman."

"Oh, but anyway. I get what you mean, we don't really fight. We just leave the Pokémon battles to everyone else."

"Which is why we're going to have to move carefully. If we were to encounter some Team Rocket members."

"We'd be screwed. Point taken. But you don't have to talk about all this negative stuff. We'll be fine! If anything, talking about us going up against Team Rocket does nothing but make sure it happens."

"That's not how the worl-"

"Oak Agency members! They must have broken through!" shouted a Team Rocket member, jumping in front of them.

"This doesn't prove anything," said Wilhelm, taking a step back.

"Do we fight or run?" asked Victor.

"It's only one-"

"I got your back Jeremy!" shouted a Team Rocket member from behind them.

Victor gave Wilhelm a pointed look, spreading his hands in a 'see' gesture.

"At least they're only two grunts. One for each of us. Go, Iridus!"

"And then they'll be four. Too bad I didn't bring an appliance with me. I choose you, Bell!"

Wilhelm's Kommo-o appeared facing one grunt while Victor's Bronzong appeared facing the other. The two grunts threw their own pokéball. A Scizor landed in front of Iridus while an Espeon faced off against Bell.

"Iridus, use Clangorous Soul!"

"Bell, use Gyro Ball!"

"Dodge it Espeon!"

Rays of light surrounded Iridus as the Scizor leapt forward, using Bullet Punch. Iridus blocked the Scizor's punches and threw it backwards with her tail. Bell floated forward and tried ramming his head into the Espeon. The cat Pokémon leapt away and used Psychic, throwing Bell into a wall.

"Bell, use Earthquake!"

Bell slammed into the ground, sending tremors to hit the Espeon and surrounding areas. The Scizor flew over the tremors and used Dual Wingbeat, flying at Iridus with glowing wings.

"Iron Defense!"

Iridus braced herself, her dragons scales glinting silver as the Scizor hit it with Dual Wingbeat. The attack hit twice, but didn't do much to her.

"Fire Punch!"

Iridus' fist glowed bright red with fire as she slammed it into the Scizor. The Pokémon went flying backwards and hit a wall, struggling up from the power of the double super effective move.

The Espeon meanwhile was giving Bell a tough time. It kept circling the Pokémon, dodging its attacks and whittling it down with its own.

"I see we have no choice," said Victor as Bell got hit by another Dazzling Gleam. "We must use our tactic! The one Ellen helped you learn sometime ago! This is the move we must use if we want a chance to beat this thing! Bell, use Trick Room!"

The entire room changed suddenly. There were purple tiles that overlaid every surface in the area. The Espeon slowed down dramatically. Shadowy particles formed around its mouth as its next move, Shadow Ball, was also slowed down.

"That right there, is Trick Room! The move switches the speed around of anything caught it in. Fast things go slow, slow things go fast! This is perfect in this match because of how fast Espeon is, and how slow Bell is! You see, now that our Pokémon's speed is switched, your only advantage is gone! Bell, dodge the Shadow Ball and use Gyro Ball."

Bell dodged the ever moving Shadow Ball and spun around, slamming into the Espeon.

"The thing is, moves like Gyro Ball and Electro Ball still aren't changed. Despite Bell being way faster than your Espeon, it'll still deal damage as if Espeon was faster! There's a reason why it's called Trick Room!"

"I don't need your explanations! Grass Knot!"

In the other side of the room, Iridus unleashed a Clanging Scales and defeated the Scizor easily. She had shrugged off a few Bullet Punches, and didn't care about the fact the Scizor had the temporary speed advanatage because of how powerful she was after Clangorus Soul.

"Iridus, attack the Espeon with Dragon Breath!"

The Espeon was flying slowly through the air after a hit from another Gyro Ball. Iridus reared up and spewed a cloud of draconic energy, finishing it off.

"There we go, let's arrest these guys quickly and incapacitate them," said Victor.

As they put handcuffs and tazed the guards with Victor's Rotom, Wilhelm turned to Victor.

"See, I said at least they were only two, and no one else came."

Victor gave him a glare. He was about to say something when they heard footsteps.

"Oh you're kidding me," said Victor. "Is this enough evidence?"

"Is what enough evidence?" asked Haruka, appearing around the corner. "Have you realized the universe is always out to get you?"

"That's not how life works," said Joyce. "Oh, I see you've arrested some members."

"Yes," said Wilhelm. "However, things would've been faster if Ellen was here."

"But that doesn't mean you should discount our battling skills!" said Victor. "Our Pokémon worked very hard!"

Joyce was quiet for a moment. "I'm sure they did work hard; I still don't really understand battling though."

"It's also something our Pokémon enjoy," said Scott, walking up from nowhere. "It allows them to express their abilities and power, and it's also nessesary in many cases. Why do you think Pokémon are able to learn all these crazy, powerful moves."

"I guess that's true, but it doesn't really feel right. But they're other ways I can help, all of us!"

"And that's why you're unique," said Victor.

Gavin and Aisha made it to the security room. The first thing they saw was the completely trashed room, chairs scattered all over the place.

"Clearly something big happened here," said Aisha. "Something no one's bothered to clean up."

"What do you think it was?"

"Maybe a Pokémon battle?"

Gavin looked around, his hands folded. He examined the monitors, none of which were broken or damaged in a way.

"I don't think so. If you look closely, the room hasn't been damage. All that's out of place is the fact the chairs have been scattered. I think something fast came and took them all out before they could do anything. Let's continue forward though."

Aisha nodded and the went to the elevator. Aisha opened it with the keycard and down they went.

Whent hey stepped out of the elevator and entered the next room. They could tell a Pokémon battle had taken place. Scorch marks and dents filled the room. A lot of shelves and storage units were broken.

Aisha noticed something on the floor and picked it up. It was a piece of blackend cloth.

"Yup, he was defienitly killed here. We should dig around for more evidence. We probably won't be able to find out if it truely was Molly that killed him, but we can say for a fact the Gamma Team has been here."

"Hold on," said Gavin. "Look up there!"

She followed his gaze and spotted a half damaged security camera hidden as a sprinkler. The only thing that gave it away was a steadily glowing red light.

"Great," said Aisha. "We'll get the security details to Victor. We'll see if he can open it."

Two hours later

After a long mission, they had gathered afterwards for Victor to analyze the security detail. It had taken him ten minutes to break into the security, but it had taken him another hour to get the footage.

"Okay guys, I have it," he said tiredly.

"What took so long?" asked Maggie. "And why do you look like you've climbed a mountain?"

"Someone deleted the footage, and they really do know their stuff. Normally, it would've been easy to recover it. But they layered it under a lot of securit shields and stuff. Wiped the backup, everything. The process to recover it was lengthy, but I won't give you the details."

He played the footage, confirming the Oak Agency's suspicions.

"Well then," said Scott. "We have a murderer on our hands now."

"And they did come there to steal the serum," said Gavin.

"This couldn't get any worse," said Haruka. "Molly is a close ally to the demon queen, and the demon queen hates me. I could be next!"

"Looking at the clip," said Maggie. "It seems she doesn't really kill for no reason, except protecting Olivia though. This is the first time we've heard of her doing this, and you can clearly see that Olivia was almost killed by him."

"That'd take a nightmare off my hands," muttered Haruka.

"Two wrongs don't make a right," said Joyce. "An attempted murder doesn't validate an actual murder."

Scott stood up. "Well we have an idea of what the Gamma Team's up to. They're preparing an army. We're going to have to prepare, they're probably going to target another legendary soon. Stay sharp people, the Gamma Team has made their next move."
