Hey guys! Welcome to Chapter 23! You may have noticed I didn't put an ending note in the last chapter, that was intentional. I decided that I shouldn't put ending notes, and I may not put beginning notes either. Any important things I need to talk about, I'll put on my profile. So be sure to check that with every story update! Also, the next chapter will be an Oak Agency chapter as well.

Two days ago

All of the Oak Alpha members were gathered in the meeting room, with Victor at the front. Thalia was still not back from her emergency trip to the Azure region, but she promised to be back in five days.

"Alright Victor, out with it. What's the situation," said Scott.

Victor cleared his throat, a worried look on his face. "Okay. According to the National Ocean Security Agency, a large number of ships, eleven of them, were spotted heading northwest a few hours ago. These ships were confirmed to belong to the Gamma Team."

Everyone except for Haruka, who was playing a video game, looked at Victor in shock. Gavin stood up.

"You're joking! Eleven of them?"

Victor pulled up a few images of the fleet of ships. The silver G of the Gamma Team was emblazoned on the side of the ship. A few more pictures show people on the ship wearing Gamma Team suits as well.

"Why are they being so bold all of a sudden?" asked Joyce.

Haruka sat back, putting down his video game. "Simple, they're sending a message."

Aisha raised an eyebrow, Haruka usually never spoke up at meetings. "And what message would that be?"

"They've won, we're screwed. End of discussion."

"What are the statistics?" asked Scott.

"Well, they seem to have been heading out in a constant direction, and by the looks of it, still are. If they follow their current direction, they'll be heading towards the open sea, far away from the region cluster. They haven't shown any sign of aggression, only sinking a few NOSA ships."

"No sign of aggression," echoed Juan.

"Which regions even lie outside the region cluster?" asked Aisha.

"The Alola region and the Holdien region, maybe that's where they're headed," offered Aisha.

"The Holdien region?" asked Ellen incredulously. "What's even in the Holdien region?"

"A bunch of stony-faced guards ready to tell you they've barred travel to or from their region," said Juan.

"Or to arrest you on the spot for trying," said Haruka.

"Wouldn't you have traveled into their region then?" asked Maggie.

"We're getting off topic," said Scott, irritation evident in his tone.

"The open sea," said Wilhelm suddenly, sitting up.

Everyone looked at him confused, waiting for him to elaborate.

"That's their destination," he finished. Not reading people's confusion.

"Yeah, you're going to have to explain," said Ellen.

"Their goals so far have been catching legendaries, and assembling an army of Dynamax Pokémon to catch said legendaries, right?" Wilhelm asked, standing up and beginning to pace.

"True," said Scott.

"They've already caught Groudon and have the Blue Orb in possession, so-"

"They'll try to get the Red Orb and catch Kyogre, granting both legendaries their primal states," finished Maggie.

"Unfortunately," said Wilhelm. "Seeing as they're already heading to the open sea where they can summon Kyogre, they either already have the Red Orb, or they sent Elaine to steal it while they head to their destination."

"Right, Elaine's the thief right?" asked Juan.

"Precisely."

"Then the best course of action would be to intercept them and stop them from summoning Kyogre," said Ellen.

"Hold on," said Gavin. "This doesn't seem right. The Gamma Team has been hiding out and laying low for months. Why such a bold move all of a sudden?"

"Clearly they must think they've won," said Haruka. "At this point, they have."

"But what if it's not that?" continued Gavin. "What if this is simply a distraction?"

"They wouldn't send the majority of their force simply for a distraction," said Aisha.

"But think about it. We've been hunting the Gamma Team for so long, following countless false leads. This could be their best way into getting our attention. This could even be a trap!"

Scott sighed. "You make a fair point Gavin. But we have a lead and we have to follow it. This could be a trap, it could be a distraction. But those are clearly Gamma Team members. This could be a chance to get more of them in jail. We won't be leaving our bases undefended though. Victor, put in a call to Captain O'Riley. We're going to need every member from the major cities and external bases."

Present Day

Fifteen Oak Agency boats sailed through the open sea, also known as Grand Pacific. The Grand Pacific was the ocean that surrounded all fourteen regions. The other, colder waters, were known as the Outer Pacific. According to Victor's calculations, the Gamma Team was set on a course towards the Outer Pacific.

"Look over there!" shouted Gavin.

Everyone looked towards where the person was pointing at. In the early dawn gloom, they saw a speedboat holding three people. While their identities couldn't be made out, it was clear they were heading towards the Gamma Team ships.

"Can't we go any faster?" asked Scott, turning towards the captain of the ship.

The entire Oak Alpha team were in an Oak Agency patrol boat. It was a medium sized one, big enough to carry all of them. The other ships around them were much larger, so they were up front.

"I'm pushing this thing as fast as it can go," said the captain. "We caught up to them so far already we'll be able to reach them."

"I just hope we're ready for battle," muttered Gavin.

"Let's head to the top deck everyone," said Scott. "We'll want to be ready as we approach. Remember, there won't be a lot of space for battling. Once we get close enough, we'll want to attack their ships and board them. Make sure we're not the ones being boarded. Our primary objective will be the biggest ship in their fleet. We're suspecting that the machine they're using to summon Kyogre will be found there. Are we clear?"

Everyone nodded, looking at the Gamma Team ships slowly getting closer with each second.

Five minutes later

They were almost upon the Gamma Team. The Oak Agency members could see the Gamma Team members standing on the deck of their ships, pokéballs in hand.

The loud shrill of a whistle blasted through the air, and all the Oak Agency people sprung into action. A few minutes before they approached the Gamma Team, Captain O'Riley had come up with a plan. Their attack would consist of waves, the first wave involved sending out any flying Pokémon for a frontal rush attack.

All around them, pokéballs burst open in flashes of light as Pokémon took to the skies. Aisha sent out her Yanmega while Juan sent out his Staraptor. Scott sent out his Emolga and Flygon, Victor sent out his Bronzong and Rotom, and Wilhelm sent out his Vanillish.

Pokémon battled in the air as the Gamma Team sent out their own Pokémon to counterattack. A Charizard flew at Halby the Vanillish when Juan's Staraptor intercepted it with Fly. A Magnezone from the Gamma Team flew upwards and used Discharge, shocking many nearby flying type Pokémon.

"Raptor, Close Combat!" shouted Juan.

Raptor flew at the Magnezone, beating it with its talons until it retreated, trying to escape. It didn't get too far when a Talonflame slammed into it with Flare Blitz.

Aisha's Yanmega swooped ahead, attacking any nearby Pokémon, completely ignoring whatever Aisha was trying to tell it. Scout, Scott's Emolga, flew ahead and used Discharge. A Gliscor intercepted the attack, but fell to the ground as Halby used Ice Beam.

As the two fleets were within a few meters, two shrill whistle blasts were heard over the chaos. With that whistle, everyone on the Oak Agency ships released their aquatic Pokémon into the water. The goal was to try and flank the Gamma Team while they were focused on the flying Pokémon.

Aisha's Reclianth and Haruka's Greninja entered the water. Haruka pulled out the pokéballs for his Tyranitar and his Cinderace, muttering prayers to Arceus so that he could survive.

There was a harsh grating of metal on metal as two separate boats made contact. The people on both sides began shouting commands as they sent out their Pokémon, the two boats becoming a battlefield.

"Let's go!" shouted Scott as their boat and the lead Gamma Team boat came close together. He sent out his Hisuian Zoroark and jumped onto the boat, everyone else followed and were met with the mission branch.

"So, we meet again!" shouted Kazuma, still wearing the Gamma Suit. "Juan, I wonder how your sister's doing since we last met."

"Don't you talk about her! Typhlosion!" shouted Juan, sending out his Serperior.

"Don't rush into battles!" chastised Ellen, sending out her Delphox and Lurantis.

Immediately, pokéballs flew as they sent out their Pokémon. Speedy, Gavin Torterra, let loose a powerful Earthquake that tore through the ground, knocking Pokémon and people alike. Kazuma's Goodra let loose and Ice Beam that stunned Speedy.

Molly sent out a Hydreigon and commanded it to attack. Gavin's Sylveon leapt forward to block a Dragon Pulse and fight back with a Disarming Voice. Xander leapt around, attacking any Pokémon he spotted, but was sent flying when Tony, Gabrielle's Incineroar, attacked it with Darkest Lariat.

"Victor, Wilhelm!" shouted Scott, calling the two of them over as he unsuccessfully tried to stop Xander's mad rampage. "I need you two to get in there and stop the machine! We'll cover you!"

The two of them nodded and Wilhelm returned his Kommo-o. They ran to the side right as Haruka's Greninja leapt out of the water, using a powerful Hydro Pump that slammed into Kazuma's Electivire from behind.

"Oh no you don't!" came a voice. "Rhyperior!"

Devon's Rhyperior gave a roar and ran at them. Wilhelm was about to pull out a pokéball when a ray of cold light slammed into the Rhyperior, freezing its legs.

Halby floated in from the sky and readied another Ice Beam when a Skarmory came and attacked it with Steel Wing. Halby fell backwards and landed on another ship, the Skarmory coming for it.

"Halby!" cried Wilhelm, turning around to help his Pokémon.

"He'll be fine!" shouted Victor, pulling him past the Rhyperior which had just freed itself. Victor pulled out a phone. "Vicey, call Java and tell him to bring his Frost Form!"

"Rhyperior! Fall back and assist the other! Dragapult, stop them!"

Devon's Dragapult flew at them as they made their way to the door. The Dragapult didn't get far when Darv slammed into it, swinging his claws with Dragon Claw.

They made it into the door and slowed down. They could hear voices from down the hall. Wilhelm carefully peeked around the corner, and spotted all the executive branch members.

"This is bad," whispered Wilhelm. "Those people are some of the strongest trainers in the entire Gamma Team."

Victor was quiet for a moment, a rare thing for him. "There's only one thing to do. I'll have to distract them so you can get below decks."

"But how will you distract them?" asked Wilhelm. "Surely they'll be able to guess your intentions."

"My plan is a distraction, but could also stop the machine. If Vicey could link to the ship's main control system, she could shut off the power. Obviously, the machine's power has to be from the same power source as the ship."

As he spoke, Java quietly floated in, inhabiting a small freezer. Victor nodded and pulled out his phone.

"Alright Wilhelm, I'm leaving the rest to you. Good luck."

With that, Victor ran forward. "Hey Gamma Team losers! What are y'all doing down here? We're wrecking everything on the surface!"

Java let loose a powerful Blizzard, blowing the Gamma Team members backwards before they had a chance to pull out their pokéballs . Victor stepped over them and ran, Java blowing another Blizzard.

"To the bridge!" shouted Victor.

Wilhelm watched the mayhem unfold before his eyes. Making sure there was no one else, he quietly slipped through the hall and into the next room.

Back on the surface, everyone was battling each other. Molly's Charizard flew around, trying to attack everyone with Flamethrower as Raptor chased him around. Pokémon flew through the air, Devon's Gyarados landing a Crunch on Darv, who twisted away from a Dragon Darts.

On the ground, Haruka's Cinderace and Kazuma's Electivire were fighting. The Electivire let loose a powerful Thunder. Haruka's Cinderace dodged the attack and launched a Pyro Ball. Aurora the Sylveon fired a Swift that hit Molly's Gardevoir, which retaliated with a Shadow Ball.

Aisha's Heatmor attacked Olivia's Sneaseler with a Fire Blast before using Throat Chop on her Espeon. Magia the Delphox attacked Snellie with an Energy Ball while Gnasher the Garchomp used Earthquake, blasting any Tony and and all three of Jacob's Pokémon.

Haruka's Greninja leapt out of the water and used another Hydro Pump before diving back in, dodging a Thunder as he did so. He'd been doing this over and over again, avoiding damage while dealing it himself.

The battle raged on, Pokémon fainting on both sides. Molly's Charizard fainted as it was shocked by a dual electric attack by Scout and Pio. Typhlosion collapsed from exhaustion while battling Olivia's Froslass, and Haruka's Tyranitar found itself overwhelmed by Devon's Rhyperior.

As Scott watched the battle unfold, he realized that their numbers were balanced, despite the fact Wilhelm and Victor had escaped deeper into the ship. That's when he realized Elaine and Marlow were missing.

Wilhelm made it into the cargo hold. He looked at the end of the room and saw another door with a keypad lock.

"So that's where it is," said Wilhelm, speaking to himself.

"Right you are traitor!" shouted a voice.

Out from behind a crate, came Marlow. He looked like he hadn't slept in days, but he had a grin on his face nonetheless.

"Marlow Gladwyn," said Wilhelm. "Please, I have to stop you from summoning Kyogre."

"Let's put that aside for now," said Marlow, taking a step forward. "Do you have any idea how much you threw away by abandoning the Gamma Team?"

"I do," said Wilhelm. "And I regret ever joining the things they're doing to Pokémon…"

"Ah, but the things we're doing and making Pokémon into more than they could ever become! We're helping them! Pokémon are having their full potential brought out because of us!"

"There's always a better option than to rewrite the DNA of a Pokémon! Have you ever considered their thoughts?"

"Their thoughts don't matter," said Marlow coldly. "I used to consider how others felt, and you know what happened? It made me weak, made me exploitable. I used to respect you and your studies. With the Gamma Team backing you up with funding, you could've accomplished greatness! Heck, you could've been funding the Gamma Team with your research. Clearly you don't understand why you gave up Dr. Dynamo! A power plant in your control, access to energy rich Pokémon, Chief Engineer. But no, you thought poor little Pokémon and gave it all up. I'm sure the hybrid Pokémon you 'rescued' could've become much more than it is now."

"I made my choice, and I don't regret it."

Marlow laughed, a cold, cruel laugh. "But you will now! Snox!"

Marlow threw a pokéball, his Malamar appeared on the ground, letting out a sinister cry.

"Halby- oh. Iridus! I choose you!"

"Snox, use Psycho Cut!"

"Iron Defense!"

Iridus put her arms together and coated her scales with an iron light. The blades of psychic energy pinged off her hardened scales, dealing little damage.

"Brick Break!"

Iridus charged forward and swung a hand at Snox. The attack hit the Malamar, causing it to bend backwards from the recoil.

"Swagger!"

Snox puffed himself up, his Swagger confusing Iridus while making her stronger.

"Fire Punch!"

"Power Swap!"

Iridus' fist ignited and she rammed it into Snox's face right before he used Power Swap. Snox recovered and use Power Swap, his own body taking on a silvery tint as he switched his defense with Iridus.

"Now, Psycho Cut!"

"Iron Defense!"

Iridus, still being confused, didn't do as was told and instead scraped at the floor. The psychic blades slammed into Iridus and knocked her back, the attack dealing lots of damage.

"We're losing options. Clangorous Soul!"

Light shines around Iridus as she instantly became stronger. With a roar, Iridus unleashed Clanging Scales. The toughened plates all over her body rubbed together, creating a harsh clanging noise that created powerful waves. The sound waves slammed into Snox and sent him flying, causing him to faint.

Marlow gave another laugh. "I could end your Pokémon easily if I wanted to. But, I should save the best for last. Salamence!"

Marlow's Salamence appeared, almost reaching the ceiling of the cargo room.

"Alright worm. You're going to battle, properly!"

Marlow's Salamence ignored him and turned towards Iridus, a menacing look on her face.

"Dragon Claw!"

"Dragon Breath!"

The Salamence leapt forward, pushing through the cloud of dragon energy created by Iridus. She raised a powerful claw and slammed it into Iridus. Already weakened from using Clangorous Soul, Iridus sank to the ground, defeated.

"Good, now restrain the trainer."

Marlow's Salamence didn't budge, causing Marlow to sigh.

"Not like that wasn't unexpected, Sketch-"

Suddenly, a ray of cold energy slammed into the Salamence. She gave a roar of pain as chunks of ice fell from above, some of them landing on her. Floating down from the sky was Halby.

"Halby!" exclaimed Wilhelm.

Halby gave a chortle of happiness and turned to face the Salamence. Suddenly, the entire ship started moving with a burst of speed. It grated against another boat and tilted, causing Wilhelm, Marlow, his Salamence, and many crates and boxes to tumble and fall over. The ship turned wildly, crashing against another boat.

On the top deck, everyone else and their Pokémon toppled as well. The battle had been close to ending in the Gamma Team's favor, and the slight upset didn't help the Oak Agency.

"What's going on?" asked Jacob, getting to his feet.

"Don't ask me!" shouted Olivia, who had somehow managed to keep her anger against Unovan Pokémon in check during the battle, barely. It didn't stop her from picking Jacob's Cinccino up and throwing it at him.

The lights on the ship suddenly went off everywhere, plunging part of the boat in darkness. Everyone looked around in confusion, the battle stopping.

"Look over there!" shouted Gavin suddenly.

In the sea, a bright light could be seen under the water. Flying over the water however, was a person. As the person came into view, everyone could see it was Scarlet, the leader of the Gamma Team.

The light from under the sea glowed brighter as the Pokémon it belonged to rose towards the surface. With a huge flash and a powerful wave, a giant Pokémon that resembled a Lanturn burst out of the water. It had brown splotched over its body and a huge set of teeth.

"Incoming!" shouted Maggie.

Everyone dove for cover as the Noble Hisuian Lanturn slammed into the side of the ship, causing the ship to almost fall directly onto its side. Scarlet floated over the ship, extending a hand. The ship glowed purple as it righted itself with her power.

"The people in the green and white clothing. Attack them, they stole the artifact you seek," commanded Scarlet, her words echoing with power.

The Lanturn gave a shriek as it opened its jaws. The light on its head grew to impossible amounts of brightness as it fired a Thunder at the nearest Oak Agency ship.

Everybody looked at the boat in shock and confusion as it exploded with a powerful flash. Maggie gasped, her hands covering her mouth while Scott paled.

"That was the ship Cyrus Hash was-"

Haruka stood there. Fear paralyzed him as he stared at certain death. For the first time since Emma's death, he remembered what it was like to be horrified.

As the lightning had hit, bodies enveloped in psychic energy flew off the boat and out of harm's way, but they weren't Oak Agency members. The Lanturn charged up another blast, but gave a shriek as Aisha's Relicanth slammed into its head with a Head Smash.

"Stop that Pokémon at all costs!" shouted Captain O'Riley, his Mega Pidgeot firing a Hurricane at it.

Don't let them defeat the Noble Pokémon. Protect it until I command Kyogre!

The Gamma Team members all froze as Scarlet communicated to them with her mind. They sent their Pokémon to attack the Oak Agency's Pokémon, who found themselves stuck between defending themselves and stopping the Lanturn.

Scarlet flew down into the main ship. She entered the cargo hold, and found Marlow and Sketch there. The Mimikyu was currently in its mega form, its shadow tendril withering.

"What happened down here?" asked Scarlet, noting how the room was in disarray.

"Wilhelm came down here, but he ended up escaping, along with another person."

"Who was this person?" asked Scarlet.

"I don't know, but he fried the summoning machine with a Rotom."

"It doesn't matter," said Scarlet, flying away. "Kyogre is already on his way."

As she flew into the next hallway, she spotted Executive Stewart, who was watching the battle unfold on a camera.

"You," she said. "Join the battle."

Executive Stewart looked at her and sighed. "Whatever you command."

He opened his one pokéball, revealing Omega. An absolute monster hybrid of a Pokémon, made from almost every single pseudo legendary. The Pokémon snarled at him, only to get smacked in the face.

"We're going."

He mounted the now docile Pokémon and rode off towards the battlefield.

The battle was not going well for the Oak Agency. While they were able to prevent the Lanturn from firing off any more Thunders, they were still losing Pokémon at a rapid rate from it and the Gamma Team members.

Omega burst out from the main Gamma Team boat and landed. As soon as Executive Stewart was off of it, it flew forward and attacked the nearest Pokémon, an Ampharos.

It slammed into the Pokémon, all four Salamence signs giving it a powerful burst of speed. It knocked the Ampharos backwards with its Dragapult wings and shrugged off a Sludge Bomb from another Pokémon, its Kommo-o scales protecting it.

Using Outrage, Omega barreled through three different Pokémon before severely damaging a boat with Earthquake. A Mega Sceptile blasted it with Dragon Pulse, but the attack had little effect. Omega quickly took it down with a Dragon Pulse before throwing a Mega Steelix into the water.

"That thing's unbeatable!" shouted someone as all three of his Pokémon were one-shotted by Omega. He turned and leaped into the water as it turned around, fearful of the chimera.

Captain O'Riley watched the battle, dread encompassing his entire body. Two extremely powerful Pokémon were quickly wiping his forces away like it was nothing. A bright light caught his attention from the corner of his eye. Turning towards it, he saw another fleet of boats coming from the Donalda Region.

"Keep fighting!" he shouted, wincing as he watched his Mega Pidgeot get taken down by Omega. "Help is arriving!"

As he said those words, clouds began to gather in a supernatural way as rain started pouring.

He glanced fearfully at the Lanturn as it readied a Thunder. With the little amount of Pokémon left on the field, he knew that it would be too late.

Suddenly, a powerful beam of water slammed into the Lanturn. Rainbow lights filled the sky as water rushed at the Lanturn. It gave a shriek of pain as it dove underwater. It was pushed out of the water and into the air by a huge jet of water.

A huge aquatic Pokémon flew into the air, Kyogre. He fired a powerful Ice Beam and traced it along the Gamma Team boats, freezing people and Pokémon alike. Another Ice Beam sent Omega flying into the water. The chimera flew out of the water, though it was clear it finally took some damage.

Scarlet flew at the legendary. A psychic aura flared around her as she exerted her full power towards Kyogre. The powerful legendary Pokémon froze in place, unable to attack as he struggled to break himself free from Scarlet's control.

"Kyogre! You shall be mine to control! My will is stronger than-"

A figure flew at her and slammed into Scarlet, breaking her hold on Kyogre. Scarlet whipped around and shot out a hand. The figure was thrown backwards by psychic energy.

"Ashely," said Scarlet, malice evident in her tone. "I knew you'd be here sooner or later."

"What you're doing is wrong, sister. You must stop your actions at once!"

Scarlet snarled, fire gathering around her. "You don't get to boss me around anymore."

Scarlet surrounded herself in fire and shot a torrent of fire at Ashley. Ashley created a wall of fire that blocked the attack. She then surrounded herself in fire and flew at Scarlet, aiming a kick at her.

Scarlet mustered a burst of psychic energy and sent Ashley flying downwards. She almost landed in the water, but she righted herself, fire igniting at her legs to help her fly.

Fire surged around Scarlet's hands as she launched a stream of blazing energy. Two orbs of water flew up from the sea and intercepted the attack, creating a large mist, obscuring Ashley.

Scarlet reached around her with her mind to detect Ashely. "You can't hide from me Ashley! Come out and-"

She flipped around and dodge a stream of fire that was shot from below her. She charged up her psychic energy, but wasn't fast enough as Ashley slammed into her. Sending her flying downwards.

Ashley followed up her attack with a plume of fire. Scarlet focused her psychic powers and lifted up the water, creating her own stream that countered Ashley's fire.

She flew upwards, bringing more water with her. Ashley created a burst of fire from her hands, evaporating the water as Scarlet threw it at her. Using the mist, Scarlet flew at Ashley and grabbed her, throwing her at one of the ships. She flew forward again and slammed her into the ship.

Ashley threw Scarlet off of her with a burst of psychic energy and shot fire at her. Scarlet floated back and countered with her own flamethrower.

Ashley flew to the side and circled Scarlet, her hands glowing. Scarlet flew at her and used her psychic powers to try and throw her into the water. Ashley ressited her control and fired a laser at her. Scarlet dodged it and punched her in the chest, her psychic powers amplifying the blow. Ashley slammed into the ship, the metal denting.

Ashley surrounded herself in fire, melting the wall of the ship. She fell inside of the ship and rolled away, dodging Scarlet's next attack. She flew out into the open and created a huge ring of fireballs behind her, preparing to fire them at Scarlet.

Scarlet used her psychic powers and mimicked Ashley's ring, only with orbs of water. They fired their projectiles at each other, each countering the other. Ashley combined her fireballs together and launched it at Scarlet, who avoided the attack.

As the battle raged on overhead, the Donaldan ships had reached the Gamma Team and were currently fighting them. A human sized avian Pokémon grabbed an Unfezant out of the sky while a Donaldan Metagross battled another Metagross. The Lanturn had been subdued by a large amount of Pokémon. With the help of the Donaldan sea force, the Gamma Team was starting to lose. Already, some people were retreating to the main Gamma Team ship.

Meanwhile, Scarlet and Ashley were still fighting their hardest, neither able to overpower the other. Scarlet threw Ashely into the water and used her psychic power to throw waves on her. Ashley fought against Scarlet's hold on the waves and flew out, blasting her with fire. Scarlet recovered and retaliated with a burst of fire.

Because of all the fighting, Scarlet's power was starting to be exhausted. As she threw Ashley into the water again, she started to cough up blood, her use of her power taking a toll on her body.

Knowing she couldn't keep up the fight for much longer, she went all out. She focused her psychic power on Ashley and rammed her into a Donaldan ship. She slammed her into the hull over and over again. Holding her in place, she created a huge blast of fire that enveloped the entire side of the hull. Putting all of her effort, she pulled the ship down into the water.

The ship slowly resurfaced as Scarlet floated down, exhausted. Ashley was completely sealed inside of the hull, unconscious.

Scarlet coughed up more blood, struggling to stay conscious. She laid a hand on Ashley's head and started draining her powers.

"You should have never fought against me."

She drained her powers with an intense light and floated upwards, leaving Ashley's body where it was. She looked around her and saw the Gamma Team rapidly losing. Coming to a decision, she gave another mind command.

Head to the main ship, retreat.

Everyone immediately paused fighting and ran to the main Gamma ship. Scarlet used her psychic powers to carry the stragglers behind before moving the ship. She kept moving the ship until it picked up enough speed. She teleported onto the ship and collapsed.

Executive Stewart was the first to reach her. "What happened?"

"Ashley isn't a threat anymore. We'll head back to-"

She started to cough again. Executive Stewart waited until she gathered herself before easing her to a sitting position.

"Head alone… to Milotic Bluff, Master Ball."

With those last few words, she collapsed.

ONe week later

Oak Alpha was gathered in front of Captain O'Riley in their meeting room. He was currently discussing what had gone down with the Gamma Team.

"So far," he said. "There have been no reports of Kyogre after the battle. Witnesses during the battle say he had sunk down into the sea, so we have good reason to believe the Gamma Team doesn't have him."

"But they still have the Red and Blue orbs," said Scott.

"True, our top priority is finding the Gamma Team. We've sat around too long. The king of the Donalda Region says he'll lend any support he can to finding the Gamma Team. Are we all ready?"

Aisha raised her hand. "Not everyone has been sitting around. I've been swamped with Pokémon that need medical attention. I don't suppose I could take some days off like everyone else did?"

"Unfortunately, your expertise is needed the most. Don't worry, if we do this correctly, the Gamma Team will become the least of our problems."

"What about the woman Scarlet was fighting?" asked Jaun.

"Still in a coma. I doubt she'll be any help though. Memory loss is likely, she doesn't have any trace of her powers."

"So we still have zero leads," said Maggie.

"For now," promised Captain O'Riley. "Right now, it's imperative for us to discover where the Gamma Team is hiding. We'll have to put all of our resources into this. I'm going to be sending trainees to search as well."

"Trainees?" asked Juan, sitting up.

Captain O'Riley nodded. "And that includes your sister."
