I do not own Harry Potter!!!

Chapter 2: Please Don't Be Serial Killers

It has been a year since I ran away and moved to London, England. The money my grandpa gave me helped get me a new phone, clothes and a flat. When I moved here, I just got the first flat available which is a three bedroom and 2 bathrooms. It is huge for just me so I put an ad for roommates. I have met and interviewed a lot of people but none were a match. Maybe it is just me.

My neighbors are very interesting. My neighbor to the right is Mrs. Basset. She is an elderly lady that reminds me of Sofia from the Golden Girls. She speaks her mind and can come off as mean or rude but she has a good heart. Every Sunday she comes over to my flat and brings me lunch and gives me all the gossip. I don't mind. I know she is lonely and just wants someone to talk to.

My neighbors to the left are Simon and Jesse Templeton. They are a nice newlywed couple that loves to party. They are always going out to bars and coming home late at night. They are super nice and always ask me to come with them. I decline only because I get very nervous in large crowds.

My neighbor across the hall is a quiet, private man. When I see him in the hall I always smile and greet him but he never acknowledges me and stays frowning. He doesn't talk to anybody. All I know of him is that his name is Art. Just Art.

When I arrived to London, I knew I couldn't live off my grandpa's money forever so I got a job. I work at a little book shop around the corner from my flat. I love it because it's not that crazily busy, I can read all I want and have an unlimited amount of caffeine.

I jumped as the thunder roared and lightning lit up the sky. I looked up from the book I was reading and looked out the window. When did this storm come in? I looked up at the clock on the wall and sighed. It is almost time to close up shop and go home. I really don't want to walk home in this.

I closed up my book and got off the stool I was sitting on. Might as well start to clean up. As I was cleaning up the shop the storm was getting bigger and louder. There is no way I can walk in this. As I was looking outside, I noticed two people that happened to just appear outside. Where the hell did they come from? I quickly ran to the door and swung it opened. The rain pelting into my face and the wind whipping my hair around. What the hell are they doing out there? I waved my arm at them trying to get their attention.

"Hey! Over here!" I called out to them. They turned to look at me and started to run over. Please don't be serial killers. I kept the door open and they both ran inside the book shop. Once they were inside, I quickly shut the door and locked it.

"Are you two ok?" I asked as I turn to look at them. The two strangers looked to be about my age or maybe a bit older. It was a beautiful red head and a handsome man with glasses and a messy mop of raven hair.

"We are fine. Thank you for helping us." The woman said while grabbing the man's hand.

"There aren't any towels but there is coffee or hot tea to warm you up." I said showing them the Keurig and the k-cups we had. Both of them looked at the Keurig in bewilderment. The man then started to reach into his pocket but the woman slapped his arm making him yelp.

"I'm sorry but we never had a Keurig. Could you show us how to use it?" the woman asked giving me a sad smile.

"Of course! Coffee or tea?" I asked them while jumping to my favorite caffeine machine.

"Tea please." They both said.

I made their tea and then handed it to them. I showed them all the sweet stuff to add to it if they like. A boom of thunder roared making me jump and spill my coffee.

"Son of a biscuit!" I yelped and then sighed in annoyance. This would happen to me. Stupid storm!

"Are you alright?" the man asked looking concerned.

"I'm fine. Just don't like storms much." I shrugged and put my cup down. Well, there goes my favorite shirt. The shop phone started to ring. I ran and picked it up.

"Thank you for calling The Magical World of Books, this is Clover speaking." I chirped on the phone.

"Clover? Are you ok?" my neighbor, Mrs. Basset asked in concern.

"I'm fine Mrs. Bas..."

"Did you find a roommate yet?"

"Umm no, not yet. I did meet with someone today but I don't think..."

"You can't be too picky dear. You need to get out of that shell and make some friends and bond with people." She stated.

"Yes ma'am." I sighed and rubbed my forehead. I think I am starting to get a headache.

"I'm only trying to help darling." She said softly.

"I know. Hopefully I will be home soon then on Sunday you can tell me all the gossip." I said wanting this call to end.

"Well, I will let you go. Be safe." She said then hung up. That woman is about as bad as my grandpa. After I hung up the phone, I noticed that the woman is reading the newspaper and the man was sitting on a chair reading some book.

"James, look! Someone is looking for a roommate! They have a three bedroom and two bath. We need to call a Clover Evergreen." The woman says excitedly. What?

"Lily Flower, we don't have a job or any money. We literally just got here. No one is going to take us in." James said dejectedly. They both look so sad. Now that I think about it. They don't have any luggage with them. I can't believe I'm going to do this. Damn my bleeding heart! Here's hoping they don't murder me.

"Excuse me! That's my add in the paper. You can stay while you look for a job. As long as you don't mind sharing a flat with a shy socially awkward bookworm." I said with giving them a small smile.

"Thank you, but..."

"Look, I don't know you and you don't know me. You two obviously need somewhere to sleep, eat a hot meal and dry clothes. Stay until you get back on your feet. If you feel like its not going to work out then you can leave. No questions ask." I said smiling that I didn't stutter or blush during my little speech.

"Thank you so much." Lily said running to me and giving me a hug. I heard her sniffle a bit so I patted her back. She pulled away and had a smiling on her face but I could tell she wanted to cry.

"I'm Clover Evergreen. What are your names?" I asked so we could get a proper introduction.

"My name is Lily and this is my husband, James Potter." Lily said while motioning to her husband. James and Lily Potter? I am so having a Harry Potter moment right now!

As soon as they introduced themselves the rain stopped and the dark clouds vanished. That is not normal. What the heck? I looked at the clock above the door and saw that it was already 5 oclock.

"If you give me a few minutes I am just going to close up shop and then I can show you two the flat." I said cleaning up a bit.

"Can't wait!" they both said.

I know this a boring chapter but the next one will be more fun.
