And here is the final chapter. I know it's taken a while to complete but thank you to everyone who has stuck with me through this story. I know it's not the longest last chapter but I hope you guys enjoy it anyway.

Jason Hunter: Dragon would be played by Scott Akins. Don't worry, I knew what you meant.

Tatiana's clinic

Morning

"I've stopped the bleeding but it will scar," Tatiana said as she removed the badge from Oliver's cut.

"I'll just add it to my growing collection," Oliver said dryly as he looked down at the new scar, just under his breast.

Tatiana simply nodded as she threw the bloody bandage in the trash. She hadn't asked too many questions about his scars, which Oliver was grateful for.

"Thank you," Oliver said and she looked over at him. "Not just for this, but for everything you've done over the last few days. Not too many people would help three strangers from a foreign country. We appreciate everything you've done for us."

"I made an oath to help all people who need my skills, not just Russians. I simply wish I could have done more for you and Lindsey," Tatiana said before pausing. "I am sorry for your loss."

"Thank you," Oliver said tightly with a smile that probably looked more like a grimace.

"You are someone who is used to loss, I can tell," Tatiana said to his surprise. "But this will be different. This loss may prove to be more than you can bear."

"You've lost a child before?" Oliver asked lowly.

"No. But I have treated many who have. Death is not uncommon in Russia, even among children. Many who lose their children are never the same afterwards. I hope you and Lindsey can help each other through it," Tatiana said kindly.

Oliver didn't say anything, looking away from her, trying to swallow passed the lump in his throat. Understanding she may have pushed too far, Tatiana simply finished cleaning up in silence before gathering her tools and leaving the room. Oliver sat there for a few more moments before grabbing his shirt. As he buttoned it up, something fell out of his jacket pocket. Pausing, Oliver knelt down, seeing what it was.

It was his worn picture of Laurel. Oliver picked it up, staring at it with a mix of emotions. He had thought, hoped really, that he could go back one day, make things right with Laurel. He was under no illusions on them getting back together; he had caused Laurel too much pain for that. But he had hoped that one day, she might find it in her heart to forgive him, look on him as a friend.

Last night had shattered that illusion. He had killed Kovar. Despite his insistence that he was not ruled by vengeance, he had given in to his darker impulses. And he knew that if he did it once, he would do it again. He wasn't the man Laurel knew, not anymore. He didn't know who he was anymore, but he didn't want this person around Laurel or his family.

Pocketing the photo, he stood up and walked out of the room, nearly running into Dragon.

"Sorry," Oliver apologized as he stopped himself from colliding with Dragon.

"I was actually on my way to find you," Dragon said and Oliver raised an eyebrow. "I just got off the phone with Fury. Barton was on his way home from a mission in the Middle East, he's the closest SHIELD transport to Russia. He'll be here tonight to take us home."

Home. Such a simple word, but one that Oliver had longed for during the last three years. But now, all it did was fill him with loss and sadness. Laurel, Tommy, his mother and sister had been his home, had been what he'd looked towards for the last few years to get him though the pain and suffering of Lian Yu and Hong Kong. They had been his light at the end of the tunnel. But now, it was all lost to him forever.

"Oliver? You okay?" Dragon asked when Oliver didn't respond after a few moments.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine," Oliver said, breaking out of his musing. "But if we need to leave by tonight, then I need to go have a long, uncomfortable conversation with Anatoly. I promised him I'd tell him everything. And after all his help, he deserves the truth. All of it."

Bratva hideout

Afternoon

Oliver and Anatoly sat across from each other in the bar, silence hanging between them after Oliver had finished talking. He had told Anatoly everything, true to his word. SHIELD, Bobbi, the baby, everything.

"I'm sorry," Oliver finally said after he couldn't take the silence anymore. "I lied to you. I used you; I took advantage of our friendship. I had my reasons but…they don't change the fact that I did it. I'm not asking for forgiveness or absolution. I just hope that, one day, you can understand why I did it."

"I do understand Oliver," Anatoly said, surprising Oliver." You were protecting your family, just as I chose to protect Bratva by aligning myself with SHIELD. You do not owe me any apologies my friend, your secret is safe with me."

"Thank you Anatoly," Oliver said, relief shooting through his body.

"What will you do now? Return home?" Anatoly inquired and Oliver was silent for a few moments.

"No. No, I'm not going back to Starling City," Oliver finally said with a sigh. "What I've done here, what I've become…I don't want that darkness around my mother or sister."

"So you will go back to SHIELD then?" Anatoly asked and Oliver nodded. "In that case, I have one last gift for you my friend."

Later, Oliver and Anatoly sat in chairs, their shits on the bar as they were getting tattooed. A few years ago, Oliver would have whined at the pain. Now it was just a minor annoyance to him.

"I have decided that you are my favorite American," Anatoly said as the tattoo artists finished their work.

"Why make me a Captain?" Oliver inquired as they put their shirts back on.

"Because now, every Bratva in the world will show you respect. It will help you in future endeavors," Anatoly explained as Oliver looked down at his tattoo. "I wish you luck my brother. I hope you can find peace within yourself."

Anatoly held out a hand, which Oliver grasped in a firm handshake.

"Thank you Anatoly," Oliver said gratefully. "For everything."

Tatiana's clinic

Late afternoon

Bobbi was getting ready to leave when there was a knock at the door. Looking over, she saw Oliver standing in the doorframe.

"Hey, where'd you go?" she asked as Oliver walked into the room.

"I went to see Anatoly, tell him everything," Oliver said and Bobbi stiffened.

"And how'd that go?" she asked wearily.

"Surprisingly well. He didn't hold a grudge, he even made me a Captain of the Bratva," Oliver said as he unbuttoned his shirt enough so she could see his tattoo.

"Wow. I wasn't expecting that," Bobbi said taken back.

"Me either," Oliver said as he rebuttoned his shirt up. "I guess he's a better man than we thought."

"I guess so," Bobbi paused, taking a closer look at him. "Are you okay?"

"Are you?" Oliver asked pointedly and she nodded, conceding his point. "I just…I thought I'd feel better once Kovar was dead. But if anything, I feel worse."

"We lost our baby Oliver. Even if Kovar is in Hell where he deserves…that doesn't bring it back. The only thing that will help…is time," Bobbi said, looking as pained as Oliver felt.

Oliver nodded slowly, remembering what Tatiana had said earlier. But he knew it wasn't going to be that easy. And already, he could feel a distance forming between himself and Bobbi. He just wasn't sure they could get through this together. No matter how much he wanted to.

Hearing a knock on the door frame, the pair looked over to see Dragon standing there.

"Hey, we need to leave now if we wanna meet Barton at the rendezvous point. You guys ready?" Dragon asked.

"Yeah, I think we are," Bobbi said as she looked over at Oliver.

Oliver nodded and Dragon turned and stated walking out. As they followed him, Oliver looked over at Bobbi, wondering what their next adventure would be.

Honestly, Oliver getting the scar under his breast from Kovar in the 5x23 flashbacks was stupid. There was simply no way it could heal in the time between when he got it to the extent we saw it in the pilot. It would have been much simpler to have Oliver get it in his fight with Kovar in 5x17, that way it has a few weeks to heel so that it looks more like it did when we first see it in the pilot.

I'm not sure when I'm going to get to book three; I need to plan it out a bit. I have a basic outline for the story, but I need to plan a bit before I get to it. Plus I have other stories I need to work on as well. But I do plan to get to the next story in the series, so don't worry if you don't see it for a few months.
