Jamie and Eddie just laughed as the whole clan of Reagans led by Danny and Erin came out of the house when they pulled up in the driveway. It had been a few weeks since they'd been at family dinner, having stayed away so they could get adjusted to life as a new family of three and so Eddie could recover from the delivery.

"Who do you think is going to make it over here first?" Jamie asked as they got out of the car.

"Your sister for sure," Eddie replied, amused at the scene unfolding in front of them.

Surely enough, Erin made it to the car first, having shoved her way past Danny, who scowled as he ran up behind his sister.

"Hi sweetheart!" she said happily once she opened the back door and saw that Grace was awake. "Oh I missed you so much!"

"You just saw her last night, Erin," Jamie reminded her with a chuckle.

"Yeah and I've missed her," she replied matter-of-factly.

Jamie and Eddie just smiled at each other. Choosing godparents for a child was no easy task but there was two people they'd always had in mind once the subject came up a few months into Eddie's pregnancy, Danny and Erin. Danny was a complete softy for his new niece and had been a source of support for them throughout the pregnancy, even having a major hand in putting together Grace's nursery. Erin was head over heels for Grace, spoiling the newborn with cuddles every moment she was with her and helping her sister-in-law throughout her pregnancy and now with the baby whenever she could.

"Do I really still have to remind you two not to push and shove each other?" Frank asked them once he walked up. He smiled gently when he glanced at Grace, who was laying contently in her car seat. "It'd make sense if the baby was Jamie but I would think that almost forty years later, I wouldn't have to say it."

"It was her!" Danny exclaimed.

Erin just rolled her eyes at Danny and went back to paying attention to the baby.

"How was the ride over you two?" Frank asked his son and daughter-in-law as he gave them a hug. "My granddaughter hasn't given you too much trouble has she?"

"Not at all," Eddie smiled, while Jamie nodded in agreement. "She's an angel."

"Just like her dad," Frank replied fondly. "Out of all of them, Jamie was the easiest baby by a landslide."

"Wow thanks Dad," Danny said sarcastically, irritated at Erin who wouldn't move out of the way.

"We better get inside," Jamie said, moving past his older sister to get the baby's car seat out while Danny helped Eddie with the diaper bag. "She's very punctual about her meals so it won't be too much longer before she starts screaming her head off."

They all nodded and followed him inside. Grace was immediately taken out of her car seat and passed around, going from her aunt to uncle, then grandfather and great-grandfather before finally landing in the arms of her mother, where she stayed for the entire duration of family dinner. Once they were done, Henry offered himself and Sean up for dish duty, knowing that Jamie and Eddie had to talk to Danny and Erin.

"What's this all about?" Danny asked once they all sat down in the living room.

"Well…" Jamie began, shifting Grace onto his shoulder as she started to get a little fussy. "We're planning to have Grace baptized before the end of the year and we would love for you two to be her godparents."

Erin's eyes widened in surprise and looked over at Danny, who had a grin on his face.

"Really?" he finally asked, looking at his sister-in-law then over at his younger brother. "Kid really?"

"Yeah," Eddie said with a gentle smile. "You two were always the ones we had in mind. I plan to be around long enough to see my daughter have her own kids but in case I'm not, I know she'd be in perfect hands with the two of you. She's pretty lucky to have an aunt and uncle who love her so much."

"I would be honored," Erin said, wiping away a tear. "Thank you."

"I know we don't always seen eye to eye Dan but there's no one else I trust more to guide our daughter down the right path than you," Jamie said sincerely, passing the baby over to Danny. "God forbid if I'm not here one day but I know Grace will be well taken care of by you if it came down to it."

"You know it," Danny said confidently, pressing a kiss to his niece's cheek. "You wouldn't have anything to worry about."

Jamie gave a small smile, "I know."

Erin got up and hugged Jamie and Eddie before scooping Grace out of Danny's arms.

"You hear that, sweetheart?" she said, kissing the baby's cheek as she sat back down. "I'm going to your godmother. How does that sound?"

"Hopefully in the baptism classes, they teach the godmother how to share the baby with the godfather…" Danny commented as he side-eyed his sister, sitting back down with a huff as he waited for his turn with the baby.

Jamie and Eddie just laughed and slipped out of the room, letting the soon-to-be godparents bond with their future goddaughter.
