Before I begin I want to talk about three things. First of all I want to give a shout out to Gojirafan1954 for translating the spell that Lincoln cast "The silver light of the moon, the golden light of the sun come together and become one! Titans of the demon realm, give me all the strength I need to defend myself!" congratulations.

The second thing I want to say is that I am reading the comments and I want to tell him that in this story Lincoln is not Gay, so I'm sorry for those who want Lincoln to be gay, but first of all, just because I don't want Lincoln to be gay doesn't mean that I don't I like your comments, on the contrary, I love that you comment and your opinions and who wanted Lincoln to be gay, there are no problems whether you want him to be or not. But don't worry, the idea that I gave the idea of Lincoln being gay is going to be used in my next story, which is the third thing I want to do. The third thing I want is that a few days ago I uploaded a trailer for my next story so if you haven't seen it, I kindly invite you to see it. Anyway, with everything ready Let's continue with the story.

Previously on the Owl House: Return of the Lost Son. Eda would run out of the elixir required to keep the Owl Lady from transforming into the Owl Beast. Lincoln and Luz would encounter Willow (a former friend of Amity's) and Gus (whose bucket list includes owning a bucket), along with Amity's friends, Cat, Skara and Boscha (who may have interest in the "Dragonborn") who all make mention of the Moonlight Conjurnig, a incantation that can bring inanimate objects to life. Determined to one up the young Blight, they all agree to do their own conjuring which Eda accepts thanks to Lincoln's negotiations.

Among them are her elder twin siblings, Emira and Edric Blight, who Lincoln has been secretly interacting with. As Eda and her obsession with the Hexes Hold 'Em card game land her and King with a losing hand against Tibbles, who desired to have her shipped to the Conformatorium, not knowing of its current management. The group of teenagers inadvertently animate the entire Owl House and have it go through a "stroll" across the Boiling Isles, pursued by demon hunters hired by the Crimson Empyrean to capture Lincoln.

Unfortunatley for both of their enemies, Lincoln's heritage awakens again in concert with the lunar empowerment of the Moonlight Conjuring, causes the Boiling Isles themselves to come to life (to an extent) and provide the teens, Hooty, Eda and King the means of escaping from their captors. Unfortunately this has had the unforeseen consequence of awakening something that should never see the light of day again.

Lincoln's Room, The Owl House, Boiling Isles, Demon Realm

Two Weeks Ago

A annoying rapping sound awakens Lincoln froms his slumber. He looks out the window to find the two students that he met back at Hexside looking up at his window, holding levitating rocks. He gives a sign for them to wait, and later emerges from the window and hovers down to them.

Lincoln: (whispering) Edric? Emira? What are two doing out here this late? I thought you would be sleeping right now.

Emira: What we can say? We're night owls.

They all softly laugh at her joke

Lincoln: (laughs) I get it, because of the owl aesthetic. But what are you really doing here?

Edric: We came here to see if you want to join us for some fun. Prank some people. Explore some old Azarathian ruins. The usual nightly escapades.

Lincoln: And why did you think that getting me in the dead of night would work?

Emira: Because you humiliated Amity yesterday, and enemies of hers are friends of ours. You in?

Lincoln ponders as this he notices their mentioning of the ruins.

Lincoln: Sure, why not? I haven't been able to sleep at all these past few hours, so maybe burning some energy might work.

The twins exchange nods with each other and head off.

Emira: Glad to hear, Lincoln. (moves closer) I could tell, partly from what she said is that you're no ordinary witch. And those white abominations were killer! Only a human would be capable of such chaos, and you certainly don't have the ears of one. (gasps) Are you an Azarathian?

Lincoln pales upon the question before she laughs again.

Emira: (laughs) I'm just pulling your leg, kid. C'mon, moonlight's wasting.

Edric: Yes, glad to see that you new friend is willing to play with us.

Emira: (annoyed) Expose me, why don't you.

The trio laughs and then would leave the Owl House and into the Boiling Isles, for a series of misadventures.

Living Room, The Owl House, Boiling Isles, Demon Realm

Morning

Present Day

Opened in the living room of the Owl House, where we see Lincoln and Luz, Lincoln with his father's grimoire while Luz reads from The Good Witch Azura 5 to King. The cover showing Azura fighting alongside Hecate.

Luz: "Azura", Hecate began. "Our paths have crossed only in battle. But today I appear before you looking for an ally." (Sighs)

King: Luz, you're getting all swoony again.

Lincoln: (looks up from the book) Yes, that always happens when she's reading aloud.

Luz: I can't help it. Azura can befriend everyone. Even his biggest rival. I wish I had that kind of power.

Lincoln: That's something that doesn't happen often.

King: Rivals are destined to be annihilated, not to befriended.

Luz: (turned to Lincoln) What are you looking for in your dad's book?

Lincoln: Well after the Moonlight Conjuring and the fact that I made the Boiling Isles, a dead Titan, move, I've been looking in hereto see if there was some kind of connection or something between my people theirs, but found nothing. There isn't any information nor I can even find a reference in the Azarathian Oath. I can't even find any mention ofthe enchantment I used last night. Besides, this doesn't exactly have a table of contents, a glossary or an index.

King: Well leaving those concerns aside, keep reading, Luz. I have been sucked into your awful fandom.

Luz: Okay. Suddenly, the door opened.

Hooty : (Opens the door) Ding-dong. Doorbell. Hoot! Hoot!

King: The book has come to life! Burn it!

Lincoln goes to the door and finds a basket.

Lincoln: (picks up the basket) Hmm? What's this?

Kitchen

Cut to the kitchen.

Lincoln: (puts the basket on the table) Eda, you got a package.

Luz: It looks like a gift basket.

Eda: Probably an offering. Oh! Being the most powerful witch in the Boiling Isles has its advantages. Besides, you've been getting some neat offerings too ever since the breakout, Lincoln. You really had them going with this messiah scam of yours.

Lincoln is confused by the scam she implies. The former inmates of the Conformatorium have been giving him any and all artifacts from the hidden vault that they can find and send. The Azarathian has no current use for them, but he didn't want to make them feel bad.

King, with a bib now attached, growls as he pulls a blanket from the top of the basket, revealing a snoring baby bat.

King: (rubbing his paws together) Mm. Fresh meat.

Luz: No, not eating that.

Lincoln: (looks at him disgusted) We're not going to eat it such a creature, right?

Eda: Witches eating babies is so 1693. What is this?

King: There is a note. (She grabs it) Take care of my son until morning. Yi Yi.

Eda: Nope. Babies are awful. Not happening (quietly) Not again.

King: "You will be handsomely rewarded. X-O-X-O-X-O-X. Bat Queen."

Eda: Bat Queen?

King takes some snails out of the basket. Eda's eyes widen.

Eda: Reward?

Luz: Who's the Bat Queen?

Lincoln: And where did she get so much money in such a small basket?

King sniffs the snails.

Eda: First what you call money on you world, we call snails and second. She is the richest demon in the Boiling Islands. Get in with her and you're set for life. (Takes one of the snails) So, we keep this thing alive for a few hours and get paid. Pfft. Easy.

Luz: Our biggest adventure yet! Learning about love and life through a child's eyes.

Lincoln: I took care of Lily when she was a baby, I can handle babysitting.

Eda: Not you two. You have to return the books I checked out from the library.

Eda calls out a stack of books, which Luz catches half of the books while Lincoln takes the other half.

Lincoln: I'm serious. Rita and her more like-minded daughters were the only ones who could trust me to handle Lily when the others normally kicked me out of their activities.

Eda: (to King) I don't want them getting a cut of the loot.

King: Good thinking.

Lincoln heard him but decided not to say anything.

Eda: Now, let's take a look at this little darling (Fully takes the blanket off)

The creature is basically a baby head with clawed legs and wings with a tuft of black hair on her head and magenta eyes. Soon the baby bat screeches.

Eda: Ugh!

King: Oh boy.

Eda: On second thought, maybe we could use your help!

Luz: (Halfway through the door) Well, I'd better go to the library! I have to go! Bye bye!

Lincoln: Besides, you said it yourself, you don't want us to get a cut of the loot, enjoy your newfound responsibility. (Close the door, then opens it again) Next time, take the blanket off slowly. (closes it again)

The naby bat keeps squealing.

Eda: We have this, right?

The baby bat flies out of the basket and crashes into Eda's face.

Eda: Whoa! (falls audibly)

Play music: The Owl House Theme

The portal appears and opens.

Luz and Lincoln appear, and appear to be going through the sky upwards, but the camera shows that it was upside down and that actually, they were falling.

Eda rescues Luz and Lincoln, and along with King, they appear flying the Owl Staff, in the direction of The Owl House.

The camera follows them to the Owl House.

It approaches the door, where Hooty is, Luz opens it and is seen twirling the staff, until she leaves it standing, Luz puts her right hand on her hip, and holds the staff with her left while Lincoln draws his sword and strikes a similar pose

Eda takes the staff away from her and Luz gets nervous, Lincoln giving a funny one while King stands in front of the camera to wave with his arms outstretched.

Willow, Gus, and Amity appear in three frames.

Willow makes a heart with her hands, Gus holds out his arms in celebration, and Amity just ignores, and turns her back, crossing her arms.

King appears holding a stuffed rabbit, along with many other stuffed animals around.

He pretends to rule these stuffed animals, until some of them fall on him, while other stuffed animals keep falling in front of the camera.

Luz flies over Bonesborough while Lincoln rides alongside, where she meets Tiny Nose, Willow and Gus.

Later, Eda and King are seen running from the guards, They help them escape, but later Luz loses control of the staff, and are chased by a creature.

Luz, Lincoln, Eda and King are on the roof of the Owl House, where Luz casts her Light Spell, making it go into the night.

The Owl House

Return of the Lost Son

The Owl House logo appears, then the Light and Lightning spells streaks across it with background sounds. The theme ends there.

Chapter 8

Lost In Language

Bonesborough, Boiling Isles, Demon Realm

Cut to the streets of Bonesborough, where Luz struggles to walk with her half of the load. Whereas Lincoln didn't have a problem with the other half, showing off by balancing them on his head. They pass Tiny Nose, who is carrying a book as big as Luz. Lincoln now wears his helm outside of his house as a means of not being noticed by any authority figures and remaining demon hunters.

Luz: Huh? Whoa.

Luz sees Tiny Nose go by, almost dropping her books. She catches up with them and continues a few steps until they see the library across the street, a church-like structure with a stained-glass shooting star above its entrance.

Luz: Wow!

Lincoln: Cool.

Front Desk, Lobby, Bonesborough Library, Bonesborough, Boiling Isles, Demon Realm

Cut to the interior of the library as they enter. The stack of books glows green and begins to float forward.

Luz: Huh?

Each book flies through a red spell circle.

Librarian: Late.

The libarian in question has light-medium nougat skin with grey hair, glasses, long nose and wears a grey and black cloak with a gold emblem with a book emblazened on it. Undeneath it is a red shirt, brown shirts with black belt and black boots. The spell circle beeps, indicating its overdue.

Librarian: Late.

It beeps again.

Librarian: (grabs the last book as Luz and Lincoln walk to the desk) Coffee, grass, and bloodstains? These are Eda's, aren't they?

Luz: Huh. That was a crazy night.

Lincoln: We stayed up all night doing a Moonlight Conjuring, kinda dirited them on the way. Sorry.

Librarian: (Sighs) I'll put them in your account. (to Lincoln) Least you were kind enough to say it to my face. (Summons a scroll and writes on it) By the way, we're closing early for the Wailing Star meteor shower. (He gestures to a framed picture of the Wailing Star)

Luz: Ooh. What's that?

Librarian: You are in a library. Read a book (His scroll rolls up and disappears)

Lincoln looked at him badly for his sarcasm, but Luz didn't care.

Luz: We're in a library. We'll read a book. C'mon Linc! (grabs Lincoln by the arm and runs out)

Lincoln / Librarian: Shh!

Cut to a banner that reads "Demon Decimal System DO NOT FEED". The teens round the corner and walk over to the red-eyed, cycloptic, grunting card catalogs, Luz handing one a ball of gum.

Luz: Bloop.

It gladly chews it for a few seconds before barfing up notecards. Lincoln later organizees them and puts them back.

Lincoln: Now I understand why libraries says no food allowed.

Cut to a study area, where several Hexside students are reading. Luz, standing on the balcony above them, grabs hold of one of the dozens of books that fly around in line, doing a split

Luz: Wow! (Screaming)

Lincoln and People: Shh!

Luz: (Screams) I'm sorry!

Lincoln pulls out Caliburn and slowly hovers towards Luz.

Reference Section

Cut to the reference section, where the witches observe things in crystal balls. One is watching a "HOW TO FLY" video, another is watching a piano cat parody, and a third is stuck in a loading screen, dial-up internet noises emitting from it. The last witch slaps the crystal ball a few times. Luz watches them from around a bookcase.

Luz: This place is amazing.

Lincoln: I know, maybe here I'll find information about the Azarathians.

Unknown: What do you think you're doing?

Luz: (Gasping) I've been caught. Pretend to be a book. (Postures.)

Lincoln: That voice.

They can hear children laughing.

Luz: Wait. (Walks forward.)

They look around and spot Amity reading to a group of students in the baby class at the Kid's Corner.

Amity: "We're your friends and we wanna help you," said the tin boy with a yelp. Otabin smiled and paced the floor. "I've never had real friends before."

Luz: Amity reading to kids?

Lincoln: Never judge a book by its cover. Heh. Book pun. Take that, Luan.

Luz and Lincoln sneak into the children's corner while Amity continues reading.

Amity: "Then we'll be your first," the Chicken Witch clucked. Otabin couldn't believe his luck. So, Bookmaker Otabin, surrounded by friends, bound a book of friendship and that's the end.

She closes the book to the applause of the children.

Luz: Amity seems so... nice and smiley.

Lincoln: And not a proud, "I'm better than you and we both know it" smile, but a geniune one. She's a good narrator too. Uh, Luz? You're blushing.

Luz: (blushes and shakes her head.) Maybe I can befriend her like Azura befriended her rival. (Grunts and ducks as the kids leave. Lincoln doens't follow)

Kid#1: Thank you very much.

They all laugh together.

Kid #2: Bye.

Kid #3: (Hugs Amity's leg) Goodbye, Miss Amity. Thank you.

Amity: (Pats him on the head.) Thank you, Braxas. See you next time.

Braxas: (Runs off) Yay!

Amity watches him go. She quickly looks to the side, then looks twice at Luz hiding under a book, and Lincoln waving from a distance. Amity's normal attitude returns.

Amity: Ugh! You two.

Luz: Amity... (She stops and leans on a book, making it fall.) Whoop! Reading to kids. Wow. Looks like this sour lemon drop has a hidden sweet center.

Amity: It's for extra credit. (Picks up the book that Luz dropped.) Don't get your leggings in a bunch. (She walks to the back of the room.)

Luz: (Follows her) Hey, I could help with the kids. We could take turns reading. And do voices. I do my best (Robotic tone.) monster voice.

Lincoln: (sighs) The more you talk, the more you prove her point.

Amity: (Slams her stack of books onto a table) Human! Azarathian! Do you see me going to the Owl Shack and bugging you while you... fry up owls? (Scoffs) Okay, I really don't know what you do there, but every time you come near me, I get in trouble. Just leave me alone.

Luz:(Backs up) I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Luz walks away Lincoln stares at Amity and follows Luz. Amity starts to raise her hand to stop her, but doesn't.

Luz:(Groans and bumps her fist against her forehead) So much for befriending rivals.

Lincoln: Don't worry, you know that Amity is difficult.

Unknown: (offscreen) You gonna let her get to you like that?

Luz and Lincoln look and see Edric and Emira. They walk towards her, Edric holding a pink rabbit lunch bag.

Lincoln: Edric? Emira?

Luz: What are you doing here?

Edric: On a mission.

Emira: A noble mission.

Edric: Watch this. Hey, Mittens.

Amity grunts as her face turns bright red, stopping dead in her tracks

Lincoln: (mentally) So that's who that nickname belongs too. Note to self, never say use that name when she's around.

Edric: (Picks up the lunch bag) Mom says stop forgetting your lunch. And stop being a j* to your friends.

Amity: (She walks over and grabs the bag) They are not my friends.

Luz looks down, but looks up again when Emira puts an arm around her.

Emira: Yeah, makes sense. She seems too cool for you.

Luz: I am?

Lincoln: She is?

Amity: You can go now. All of you. (Goes back to the kid's corner.)

Emira laughs. Edric winks at Luz, and she laughs and blushes while Lincoln blushes when Emira smiles at him.

The scene cuts to the four walking.

Edric: So, what are you guys doing here?

Lincoln: Well, we came here to return some books from Eda and we saw Amity and she started to get really cold with us, then you two showed up.

Emira: Yeah, after you embarrassed her at school and at the witches' covention last week. No wonder she hates you two. BTW, our little jaunt across the isles is still trending, shame our faces pixelated.

Luz: I know But, uh, I didn't mean any of that. I thought we were as cool as cucumbers. But we're as sour as pickles.

Emira: Don't waste your time with Mittens. Ed and I are so much more fun. Follow us.

The four of them walk away. Luz and Lincoln looking down at where Edric and Emira are holding their respective wrists.

Cut to a chalkboard sign that reads "- NON-FICTION FICTION-". Edric erases the "NON" and hides as Gary, a second librarian, approaches, leading patrons.

Gary: And here we go to our nonfiction section. (He gasps when he sees the sign) Fiction, fiction? Is our world but fiction? Then what in my life is real anymore? (Sobbing, they leave before the prefix somehow returns)

Cut to where the librarian is reading while shelving the books. As he puts one on the shelf, it lights up blue and flies back to the reshelving cart. This happens several times before Emira is revealed to be doing it, she, Edric, and Luz all laughing. Edric switches the places of the two librarians.

Gary: Huh? No! Not again! (Sobbing)

The librarian falls off a ladder, before a golden glow puts the books back on the shelf, swapping the librarians back to their original places.

Cut to Edric holding a dusty book. He blows dust at the annoyed demonic decimal system, which sneezes, showering the area with notecards, notecards that are put back in the book again.

Luz: Wow!

Everyone laughs as Luz dances and the twins high five, not noticing Lincoln was surprisingly absent.

Amity: Hey!

Amity is standing next to the librarian, Lincoln on the other side, all three with their arms crossed. The librarian looks around.

Librarian: (Grunts.) Wait. Where is Gary?

Gary: (He runs in.) I'm coming. Nooo! (Sobbing)

Cut to the main entrance, where Luz and the twins are shoved outside.

Luz, Edric, Emira: Whoa!

Librarian: You've made reading far too fun. Now stay out. (Lincoln walks out, the librarian showing a pleased expression to him) Thank you for telling me about their hijinks and cleaning their mess, son. You're always welcome here.

The door slams shut. The four look at it for a second before they all laughing. Emira hits Luz's shoulder.

Luz: Amity is even angrier with me now. I didn't think that was possible. (to Lincoln) But I think you may have helped cool her down on your end.

Lincoln: You also gave the librarians a crisis. I'm just glad that putting things back in order helped avert it slightly.

Edric: No, when Mittens gets mad, she looks like this. (He inhales sharply, grunting as his face turns red; exhale) Wow, I almost passed out.

Emira: You two are very funny.

She and Edric nod to each other.

Emira: So, hey, we're going back tonight. There's a certain book we forgot to... check out.

Edric: And bonus, it's rumored that the Wailing Star is supposed to unlock some rare magical event. You in, friends?

Luz: Sure.

Lincoln: (suspicious) Why not? What exactly is the name of said book?

Edric: Great. Meet us here at midnight. See you, Luz. (grins) Lincoln.

The twins leave. Luz and Lincoln wave at them. The latter still concnerned.

Luz: Bye! (to Lincoln) This is great. First, we befriended the siblings and then we befriend Amity. (squeals and runs off.)

Amity is standing around the corner, probably having seen everything. She holds her breath until her face turns red.

Amity: (Grunts as she exhales) Phew! Almost passed out.

Unknown: It's not nice to talk about someone who's listening.

She turns to see an unamused Lincoln standing next to her, startling her.

Amity: Lincoln! How did you?

Lincoln: Took a shortcut. Listen, Luz here is just trying to be friends. It's not my place to interfere in all this, nor is it your place to deny her a chance. We'll see you later.

He quickly catches up with Luz, leaving Amity to ponder his words.

Living Room, The Owl House, Boiling Isles, Demon Realm

Afternoon

Cut to the living room of the Owl House, where the baby bat is crying. King has pillows strapped to his head with rope and Eda has both hands spread and covering her ears while her arms are crossed.

King: It's been hours. How can it keep screaming?

Eda: Ugh. I hate it too, pipsqueak. (She reattaches her hands) But think about the money.

The crying continues. Three glass bottles are broken. The glass covering Eda's "Wanted" poster breaks.

King: No amount of snails is worth this torture. (Falls backwards) Make it stop.

Eda: (sighs) I can't believe I'm about to do this.

She picks up the bat. It immediately stops crying. King and Eda look at him in disbelief.

Eda: Rock, rock. maternal gesture.

Luz and Lincoln enters the house.

Luz: We just had the best day. Cool teens like we. Call us library books 'cause they were checking us out.

The two look towards the sofa.

Lincoln Oh, Eda, you look so motherly. (Pauses) Haven't you done something like this before?

Eda: (darkly) Say that again and I'll steal your tongue. (Lincoln cups his mouth)

Luz: (She gets closer.) Ouch. How can you say that around this cute baby?

Luz repeatedly pokes the baby bat. It wakes up and vomits out an identical, smaller version of itself, as does that version. They all chirp and flap their wings.

Luz: (recoils) Whoa!

The bats fly upward, still chirping. One of breathes fires. Eda, King, Lincoln and Luz scream and run from the sofa, which is the unfortunate target. Luz runs to the door.

Lincoln takes his bag if he sees that his Codex and another book was in there.

Lincoln: Not that I want to miss the next bonding moment, but we've got places to be. (smugly) Remember, for the snails.

Luz: (Putting on the messenger bag) Parenting certainly seems rewarding. E-Enjoy your life lessons. Bye bye.

She closes the door behind you. Bats fly around, knock things off shelves and cause chaos. Eda holds King.

King: Uh, because, because of the money?

Eda: For the money. (Yelps)

She ducks out of the way of a green liquid that splatters on the wall.

Library, Bonesborough, Boiling Isles, Demon Realm

Nightfall

Cut to the library that night, crickets chirping. Luz walking next to a pillar, having only seen Lincoln from a distance.

Luz: Gotta be cool. (She rests her arm on the pillar.) Cool? (Shakes her head and facepalms) No. (She leans against the pillar.) Cool. (Grunts as she kneels while throwing up a peace sign; she groans and drops her head.)

Unknown: Keep going.

Luz: Huh? (Falls)

Emira: (Leaning against the opposite pillar.) This is fun to watch.

Edric: Are you ready to bring all this, uh, whatever you're doing, inside?

Luz: (Nods.) Mm-hmm-mm-hmm. (looks around) Have you seen Lincoln? He was supposed to be here too.

Lincoln suddenly drops down from the archway above them and lands infront of them.

Lincoln: Sorry to drop in on you. Wanted a good vantage point of the comet.

Emira: (nods) That was cool.

Everyone approaches the door.

Edric: It says no trespassing, but I'm allergic to rules. (She takes out a sheet of paper and hands it to Emira.)

Emira: And dairy.

Edric: Wow, okay. Just expose me.

The paper shines. Emira puts him against the door lock. The paper crumbles.

Luz: Wow!

The lock grows until it's big enough for them to get through.

Edric: Come on.

The lock shrinks once everyone is inside.

Lobby

Luz: Standing in a dimly lit hallway. You know how to have fun.

Edric: There. The wailing star!

The Wailing Star sobs as she passes the stained glass window.

Luz: Wow.

Lincoln's bag started to glow but he was so focused on the star that he didn't notice. The four of them look around for several seconds as the books slowly begin to glow green.

Edric: Hmm. Nothing happened.

Luz: Wait. (Picks up a book called Extinct Birds of the Boiling Isles) The books are all shining.

She opens the book. Almost immediately, something screeches as the birds in the book come to life. They fly around the lobby.

Emira: Wow!

Edric: Wow. The Wailing Star magically brought the books to life.

Luz, while still looking at the birds, closes the book. The birds disappear. The four share a look and then smile.

At a newsstand. Edric opens Regal Couture, which dresses him, Lincoln and Emira in fancy clothes. A peacock flies out of it while Luz takes out an issue of Witch Wares Weekly and gets a giant sword, among other things. Lincoln is also affected by this, making his attire look both fashionable and funcitonal. Luz screams as she falls. The four now stand by the graphic novel section. Luz opens one.

Luz: Nothing happened.

Her words appear in a speech bubble. They all gasp when he appears, the twins recoil.

Edric and Emira: Wow!

That also comes out in a word bubble, one which Lincoln pokes at with his scabbard. Both pop when Luz closes the book, a "THUMP" sound bubble appears as she does so. Later, Luz is holding Snowballs, A History. She looks around a corner and sees Edric, holding the same book.

Luz: Ha!

Opens the book, pelting Edric with snowballs.

Edric: (Grunts, falls; open the book and return fire) Ah!

Luz: Ah! (Runs)

She is safe for a second before Emira appears, opening another copy of Snowballs, a story square in Luz's face. Luz screams and Emira laughs. Edric and Emira laugh as they run past the kid's corner, where they crash into a large snow wall made by Lincoln's copy. He laughs and realizes that his bag was glowing, he knelt down and opened the bag revealing that the Codex was glowing leaving him surprised.

Emira: Lincoln

Eric: What is that?

Lincoln: (stands up) I'll be right back, keep having fun.

Lincoln leaves the place, leaving the twins confused but they chose their shoulders and continued with the fun.

Luz gets up from where she was hiding behind a shelf and notices that "Otabin the Bookmaker", the book that Amity had read to the children, shines on the table. She picks it up and opens it, and Otabin rises from the pages. A mouse like being with brown shorts, pink skin, blue eyes, a green cape and a needle tied to a green ball of yarn. She smiles at him.

Lincoln goes to an empty place and opens the grimroire and when he opens it, it begins to shine brighter and the visage Draven Godspeed, The Phoenix Lord himself, appears before him, surprising Lincoln.

Echo of Draven: Hello, User.

Living Room, The Owl House, Boiling Isles, Demon Realm

Cut to the Owl House, where a baby bat is holding a mace in its talons as it flies. Another pours a green potion on the ground. A third is jumping on the overturned sofa, under which Eda and King are hiding. The first bat now wears another pair of Eda's shoes.

King: What silences the children? What happens if we invent a television network for children from 6 to 11—

Eda: That's insane. Aah, there's only one way out of this. (He reaches into his hair and pulls out a knife.)

King gasps.

Eda: (Cuts an apple) Apple slices and story time (Pulls out a copy of Otabin and sits on the couch) Alright, brats. Let's do it. Ugh. Being a mother again is making me sick.

All the baby bats sit on the ground. King joins them, holding the plate of apple slices. His pupils dilate as Eda opens the book and begins to read.

Eda: "Otabin spent his days alone among the many books he had sewn together. With needle and thread..."

Children's Corner, Library, Bonesborough, Boiling Isles, Demon Realm

Cut to Luz reading in the library, finishing Eda's line.

Luz: "...the pages that he mended. But all the time I longed for a friend."

Otabin: (Threading a needle) Friend?

Edric: Luz, look at this.

Emira: Look what we found out.

Emira opens a book called Quacks Eats Snacks. A duck swims out of the pages and walks across the floor quacking happily.

Luz: Aw. Cute little quackster.

Emira offers the book to Edric, who has a pencil. He draw legs on the duck in the book. In the real world, the duck now has matching giant human legs. It quacks hysterically.

Emira: Now it's extra cute. (closes the book)

Edric and Emira laugh.

Emira: Your turn, Luz.

Luz: (Backing away from them) I don't know.

Edric: (Offering his pencil) Come on. Don't stop the fun.

Luz hesitantly takes the pencil and opens Otabin. She looks at the drawing of him on the page.

Luz: (sighs) I can't do it.

Edric: Let me help you.

Luz grunts. Edric grabs his hand and draws angry eyebrows and claws on Otabin. Something starts to spill out of the pages, but Luz slams it shut.

Luz: (grunts) I don't want to see it.

Emira: Whatever. We didn't come here just to doodle. Come on, let's go look for Lincoln. I wonder what he's doing.

The three of them left the place while Luz drops the book face down. A clawed hand reaches out of the book and, whatever it is, snarls.

Elsewhere

Cut where Lincoln, still seeing his father amazed, is standing in front of him.

Lincoln: D-Dad, I mean Draven.

Echo of Draven: Greetings Codex of the Vishanti user. What is the nature of your question?

Lincoln: Vishanti? That's the name of the codex?

Echo of Draven: Correct, it is named for the original Azarathians who were known by their noble house name of Vishanti. What is your next question?

Lincoln: (looks at him and realizes something) It's like an infovision where he answers any questions given. Great. Maybe this echo can tell me how I connected with the Titan. (looks at Draven) Does an Azarathian have the ability to control a Titan?

Echo of Draven: Yes and no. They never desired to control the Titans, only to protect and coexist with the species they live alongside. The Azarathians are instead, able to unite with the Titans, among other races, thanks to their connection to the Archivists.

Lincoln: Archvists?

Echo of Draven: The Archivists are a celestial race connected to primordial magic and ethereal space-time, giving them abilities that allowed them to manipulate reality. Would you like to know more?

Lincoln: Sure.

The echo of Draven's hallucination changes the space around them to show an image showing humanoid figures with blue and yellow skin and glowing orange eyes. They all wear long robes with day and night themes, with older members wearing long and robes and their younger members wearing pajamas.

Echo of Draven: The Archvists are a long-lived species who went by many names and called many things, whose goal is to observe the passing of the time and all life within, and to collect and seal up members of each species in order to preserve them forever.

On the opposite side shows a race of beings similar to King, yet colossal in size and possessing bat-like wings.

Echo of Draven: They are one of the most powerful known magical beings, and their power is only rivalled by the potent magic of another race, the Titans. Because Titan magic could cancel out theirs, Collectors developed a rivalry with that race. It is not clear as to how influential Collectors and their quarrel with Titans was, as there exists trace evidence of Collectors in the modern day.

The image is changed to two more unique Archvists, one carries a more midnight theme yet appears more like the regular ones, carrying a red and yellow pyramid The other one is more reminiscent of the dawn, accompanied by a winged feline with three eyes and a four-winged phoenix, similar to the one he created during the covention.

Echo of Draven: One day, one of the two original Archivists, one their most powerful and one of their leader, soon saw beyond the immoral boundaires of his charge and so desired to create a power that would defend and preserve without the need to take away life in order to protect it. At least half of their people remained true to their beliefs, some too stubborn to admit they're wrong, some too blind to see beyond their own power and their abuse of it.

The image changes to a completely white person, pure of spirit, behind many who could manipulate all five elements, Fire, lightning, earth, water and wind. It also shows that person in front of the Titans and more like the person.

Echo of Draven: (voiceover) From his dream, on the side of light, with many of his followers, transcended into beings of aether, light, life, order, and spirit who could control the five elements. They would become known as the Azarathians. In addition, the Titans showed a great friendship to those who made a blood pact and showed those chosen by them an incantation that only an Azarathian endowed with cosmic magic can perform.

The image changes back to the white person, but something happens to it, darkening its visage. As if something inside is tearing the figure apart form the inside-out. The purity in his soul begins to decay and turn upside-down. Eventually the person turns black as tar, showing red eyes, purple and orange cracks and a jagged grin before shattering the image in its empowered rage. It soon spreads to certain members, turning into the same as the original.

Echo of Draven: (voiceover) But just as there is light, by omniversal law, there must always be darkness. And from that darkned nether of death and chaos, the first demons emerged from the most broken and irredeemable, the most vulunerable and exploited of our people; the Trigonians, a dark and malicious race capable of destroying entire worlds with a single strike and taking its people, corrupting them into the monstrous Zinthosians. No one knows how or why they came to be. An act of trangression by our former colleagues? Betrayal from one of our own? An equal force to balance the scales? The plans of an unknown third entity? One can only dare dream.

The image changes to a war between the Archivists and the Titans and we see the Azarathians side by side with the Titans and the Trigonians side by side with the Archivists.

Echo of Draven: (voiceover) Due to the conflict between the Archivists and the Titans, the Trigonians corrupted key members of the Archivists, feeding on their doubts, despair, fear, anger and hatred and "helped" them to exterminate the Titans. After that action, the Azarathians banished their fallen brethren to the void and purged the infected Archivists, except for one powerful uninfected individual, who was sealed away for untold aeons. This was the Fallen War.

Lincoln: (surprised) Wow so I have the primordial magic of the cosmos, cool. Three more questions, Draven. What are the Titans, what became of the Azarathians after the war and do you know anything to the reference, Prime Designate?

Echo of Draven: The Titans are a species of colossal beings hailing from the ancient past of the Demon Realm. Though they were nearly brough to extinction by the Collectors, Titans play an integral part of Demon Realm culture, with one deceased Titan serving as the Boiling Isles itself. Titan magic is incredibly potent, and the effects of their magic influenced all life that inhabit the Demon Realm; natural magic that originated from Titans can be commanded via glyph magic and their blood is a highly potent power source for all sorts of magical devices. When combined with that of an Azarathian or via contract or transfusion, the caster's magic becoms amplified. Titans reproduce through eggs, which are just miniscule compared to a fully grown adult. Young Titans start off as eggs before emerging as a hatchling that is no bigger than a small dog. Their massive size come from years of age and maturation.

Echo of Draven: (shows the moment of their arrival) In the distant past, when the Archivists arrived in the Demon Realm, the Titans took opposition to the extraterrestrial race. Because Titan magic was capable of cancelling out the Archivists' own magic, and have the opposite effect to their counterparts, the Archivists sought to eradicate the Titans, and the two races became locked in war, followed by the Azarathians, Trigonians and Zinthosians. Around this time, a sect of ancient witches, inspired by the Collectors' cause, took up to slaying Titans as Titan Trappers. Donning the corpses of fallen Titans like the Archivists had done, they aided the Archivists' war against the Titans and their Azarathian allies, though they only had success with the former. The Trigonians saw these hunters as mere stock to create more of their infected.

Echo of Draven (Shows an orbital map of the planet Despite their resistance, the Collectors ultimately wiped out Titans. However, through unknown circumstances, one egg was hidden away on a remote island, and would hatch roughly eight years before the present. After the fall of the Titan race, their remains formed into landmasses across the Demon Realm, with two of the known landmasses in the Demon Realm, the Boiling Isles and Titan Trapper Island, made from these remains. Supposedly, the muck of a decomposing Titan gave rise to the demons that inhabit the Demon Realm.

Echo of Draven: (draws pathways from the world to new ones beyond its orbit and system) After the war that nearly tore this world apart, The Azarathians decided to make this planet their new homeworld, Generations passed and our people lived under a Golden Age, evolving beyond normal concepts of magic and science, art, history, literature and philsophy. Eventualyl their population grew so vast that they decided to sail the sea of stars, colonizing upon any world that they came across, with the original group remaining here, uniting their worlds and its peoples to their banner.

Echo of Draven: (Shows a grey-colored population) Though some evolved into what their kind are now due to exposure to Titan magic, many chose to seal away much of their great power for risk of birthing a new Trigonian and/or Zinthosian. This sect would be treated the same as any other, later naming themsevles the Metrionites, though the other races would soon call them "witches". Further data from said point has been locked. The Prime Designate is a legend of prophecy telling of a pure-blooded Azarathian born and forged in the light, raised and scarred in the dark. One day he will return and he will bring either salvation or ruination to all the realms.

Lincoln: (mentally) Just like Amity said back at the covention.

Past Amity: (flashback) ...one of the reasons the Azarathians were respected and feared was because of their seemingly unlimited potential. But if the same could be said for their effects of great change, the same could also be said for the powers of destruction.

Unknown: Lincoln?

Lincoln quickly closes the codex and Draven's echo disappears. Lincoln turns around to see Luz and the twins approaching.

Lincoln: Hey guys, what's going on?

Emira: Not much, but we need to do something before we go.

Emira takes Lincoln's hand and leads the way.

Romance Section

Cut to the romance section.

Luz: Oh wow. Boiling Isles romance. That's totally lame. I mean, unless you guys are into it?

Edric: I think I'm into this one.

He pulls out a book titled The Lone Witch Secret Room. Something clicks. The bookcase sinks and slides away, revealing a secret room. It has a diagonal wooden ceiling, cosmic objects dangling from strings, two shelves of books, slippers, a wastebasket, three visible cushions, a chair with a table holding a fine cop, a stack of books and a candle wick.

Luz: Wow! That's a good book.

Luz and Lincoln walk into the room as the twins lean against the doorway.

Lincoln: So, this a cool hiding place.

Luz: Your clubhouse is like our last secret hideout.

Edric: We don't hang out in a library. "Uh, teacher, I'm in love with a dictionary."

Emira: "I'm studying the dork arts." This is Amity's secret hideaway.

Luz seems worried while Lincoln was concerned.

Lincoln: If this is her hiding place, then what are we doing here?

Edric: Mittens has gotten too... full of herself. She keeps tattling on us when we cut class.

Emira: She has to learn not to mess with people like that. So, let's find her diary.

Edric: And then post the pages all over the school for everyone to see.

Edric and Emira laugh.

Lincoln was surprised, he couldn't believe it. In a sense, he can now seem to relate to Amity with his own "family". She's like him. They're like them. He grits his teeth in frustration of being used yet again.

Luz: What? Isn't that taking it a bit too far?

Lincoln: (stern) I know Amity may be a j* sometimes, but there are lines you don't cross, especially this one. Trust me.

Emira: (not caring) No. Look, we're her family. It's tough love. She needs to learn to lighten up.

The twins begin to look around.

Lincoln: (whispers to Luz) We have to stop them from getting the diary.

Luz: Hmm. Well, I—I don't see any diaries here. (half-heartedly looks around.) Nope, nothin'. Let's just leave. Wait, are those... (squeals) Good Witch Azura, books one through four! You get these on the Boiling Isles? So majestic.

Lincoln: I see that we're not the only fans on these isles.

Luz: (Picks up a green book, showing an Azura lookalike with shorter hair) Is this cover hand-drawn?

The cover is of Amity dressed as Azura. Luz opens it and a small version of Amity emerges from the pages.

Amity's Diary: I saw that... human girl and the Azarathian again.

Luz: The diary.

Lincoln: (covers his ears and closes his eyes) Put it away.

Amity's Diary: I may have overreacted. I don't want to seem cruel. I just can't show weakness. At least Lincoln helped fix whatever mess they were making today.

Luz: No. (Closes it)

Edric: What've you got there, Luz?

Luz: (Hides the diary behind her back) Oh. N-Nothing. Just a Good Witch Azura 5 where she goes through her Goth phase.

The journal glows blue and flies out of his hands.

Luz: Huh? No wait!

Emira takes the diary and hands it to Edric, who opens it.

Amity's Diary: It's not fair. I'm the only one who knows that Ed and Em aren't perfect. Why do they keep getting away with things?

Edric and Emira: This is it.

Emira: Guys, were you hiding this from us?

Edric: You see how she treats people. How she treats you?

Lincoln: (shouts) That's no excuse!

Edric and Emira are startled by this since they were never yelled at Lincoln, or by anyone with such a presence. Not even their mother had this effect. His eyes and scales return again, then recede after a deep breath.

Luz: I know Amity can be a bit cold, but no one deserves this. These are private thoughts. Let's return it.

Luz grabs the journal and pulls, but Edric doesn't let go. They both pull him, Emira pulling on Edric's waist while Lincoln pulls on Luz's waist.

Edric: She needs this.

Emira: It's for your own good.

Lincoln: (gnashes) Keep telling us that, see how that works out for you. It didn't for them.

Lincoln and Luz continue growling. The pages spill out on the floor and Luz looks at him worriedly. Lincoln, valuing her privacy, drowning out the words by covering his ears again.

Amity's Diary: "I wish I had a place to go." "Why won't those two leave me alone?" "I called my teacher mom again." "Sorry, I haven't written for a while. Wait, why am I apologizing?" "The Azarathian told me what his life was like before coming to the Isles. I can't bear write the details down, but I guess I can relate to much of what he had endured for all his life."

The pages repeat as Luz rushes to pick them all up. Amity approaches the door as she picks them up, her face already red.

Amity: (furious) Really?

Luz: Argh. It's not what it looks like.

Lincoln: (to Luz) Your denial only proves your guilt, Luz. (To Amity, serious) We didn't know this would be here. We were decived by someone we called friends. (glares at the twins) I was immediately suspicious and when they told us their plans, I went against, it. The pages went out and I swear on upon my ancestors, I saw and heard nothing.

Edric and Emira laugh.

Amity: (Angry) You two are the worst! (Takes her diary, sounding hurt) But you... I've been trying to figure out what your problem is. Are, are you posers? Some nerds? I know. You're bullies. (to Lincoln) I thought you were more than this. (Runs out)

Luz: Amity! (starts to go after her but stops)

Edric and Emira laugh.

Emira: Mittens killed the fun.

Edric: Again. Oh, well. We're he

Lincoln looks surprised, and seethes. He was deceived, manipualted, betrayed. Again. It hurts more because it was the sin was comitted by someone like Emira. He clenches his fists as his presence begins to grow darker, colder.

Emira: Yeah, with you.

Emira grabs Lincoln's wrist again. This time, he force his hand back, surprising her at his audacity and a searing sensation on her hand. She looks down to see her palm is now burned not notcing their breath becoming more visible.

Luz: Look, you guys are great.

Edric and Emira: (Nods) Mm-hmm.

Luz: But I need to go talk to Mittens. I mean, Amity.

Emira: It's okay (Winks) See you, darling.

Luz blushed and ran after Amity. The twins were about to leave when Emira noticed that Lincoln hadn't said much after that rebuttal.

Emira: Lincoln?

Lincoln: (turns his back, tears in his eyes as the transformation grows) You know what? I can't believe you! (stomping his foot, causing the place to shake) I thought that you two were good people, but now I see that you are so unsympathetic and cruel that you don't even seem to care what you do to your own sister!? (saying that last part reminded him of his failed family) Just... like... mine. Have fun with your antics, Blights. (venom in the word) Don't ever look for me again, I'll know if you try.

Lincoln runs away from them, leaving a lot to think about what they did, especially Emira.

Emira: Lincoln! (to her twin) Edric, wait outside.

Edric. Em...

Emira: NOW!

Edric runs off for the exit. She goes to chase Lincoln, but stops to find that he had left his codex and another book behind in his rage. She picks it up and follows the charred trail of footprints left in his wake. Reading through them both, especially the latter, she unknowingly starts creating more problems with each and every page she turns.

Elsewhere

Cut to a random aisle of books, where Amity is walking.

Luz: (rounding the corner) Amity, wait.

Amity: First you two embarrass me. Then you wanna be my friend? I don't get you. Choose a side.

Luz: Please, just listen to me.

Amity: Just go away before things get worse.

Strong footsteps interrupt them as someone comes from the aisles.

Luz: huh?

Otabin's large, monstrous form, featuring muscular growth, his fanged underbite, large eyebrows and claws glowing blue, created by Edric's drawing snarls as he walks into the hallway. His heart is pounding, his open book beating with it.

Amity: Otabin?

Otabin: With claws and fangs and broken bones, I found a friend to make my own. (Grabs Amity.)

Amity: (grunts) Luz! (Screams)

Luz: Amity!

Amity: Luz!

Luz: Amity. Huh? (looks at Amity's diary)

We see Lincoln continue running, looking for Luz and Amity.

Emira: (reaches for him) Lincoln! Wait!

Lincoln: (stops and without looking at her, heavily breathing, oddly struggling with himself) What do you want?!

Emira: I'm sorry if we upset you. We were tired with Amity's meddling that we didn't realize what we were doing was wrong.

Lincoln: (thinks and sighs) Well to be fair, one side of me wanted to do it, but I knew that if I did, I would be worse than her, worse than them. The truth is that I felt hurt all my life, even more so since I began to feel something for you. (blushes then shakes his head) I hoped that you could've been different from everyone else I met back on Earth. Someone didn't see me as a demon, a freak, a tool for their own ambitions, or worse.

Emira blushes and realizes the nature of what he meant. She pulls out his books and gives them to Lincoln.

Emira: Here, you dropped these back Amity's hideout. The first was a very good book. The other made me feel rather sad about the person who wrote it.

Lincoln takes them and notices that not only did she read through his father's codex, but his own journal. A journal made from smaller ones that he made over the course of his entire life.

Lincoln (stuggling to find words) Wh-Where did you find these?

Emira: You dropped when you ran out, your footprints were easy to track. (pointing to the burn marks) I could tell it was a lexicon or grimoire of some kind. Felt a light guiding me to you. But I don't understand what the other one was.

Lincoln: That's.. my journal. Back I was on Earth, I kept a detailed record of every pain endured in my life. Every nightmare, every torment, every sign of weakness. Every time I looked away from it ran out of pages, I would find the journal having more pages when look at it again. (sighs and sees her burned hand) Oh no! Your hand. Here, let me take a look at it.

He places his hands on hers, a green glow emanating form them, and as the burns begin to heal, she sees something. She sees dubiousness, anguish, horror, rage, loathing, and suffering. Though it's hard to tell if she is sensing such agony, or if the pain is of her own flesh and blood.

She tries to say something but Amity's scream interrupts her train of thought.

Lincoln: That scream, it's coming from where Luz and Amity ran off to.

Emira: It's from Mittens. Something must have happened to them. We need to go!

The two run off in the direction of the shout, blighted orbs of light following them.

Kid's Corner

Cut to Amity being smacked against a right page of a giant book. Amity grunts, then gasps. Otabin holds a large needle, threaded with a giant green ball of thread. He picks up the needle and lowers it in Amity's direction. Amity screams. He sews his arm into the book.

Amity: Huh? (gasps) Why are you doing this? I've read you since I was a child. I know you're not like that. Someone changed you.

Otabin: But friends are what I've always sought. And now a friend my claws have caught.

A rumbling attracts the attention of both. A purple cloud rolls in, a figure in a white robe and hat lands with it. The cloud blinds Otabin for a moment.

Amity: (Gasps) Azura?

Luz: (Holding up Amity's journal, wearing Azura's garb) Near. (Pulls on the robes.) Is it drawn okay? I kind of interpreted the descriptions.

Amity: Luz!

Luz: Oh, right. (Writes in the diary.) The good witch, Luzura, grabs her trusty staff. (A staff rises from the pages and she grabs it.) Very good, beloved work of children's fiction. let go

She runs towards Otabin, yelling and growling as he swings his staff theatrically. Otabin catches the staff before she gets close enough to hit him and throws it behind him. He picks up the journal and closes it gently. Luz's Azura disguise disappears.

Luz: (Laughs nervously) Not a fan of Azura, are you?

Luz grunts as she crashes into the opposite page from Amity's. Otabin sews one of her arms in.

Otabin: Make friends, take friends, never be without my friends.

Luz: You fiend. You can't rhyme friends with friends.

Amity: (unamused) Good job, Luzura.

Luz: Hey! I was trying to save you.

Amity: Well, never mind. We're gonna be stuck forever.

Lincoln and Emira soon reach the others and when Emira sees Otabin, she immediately grabs Lincoln's arm, pulling him and hiding themselves behind a bookcase.

Lincoln: (looks) Is that Otabin? That's not the character in the book Amity read to the kids. He looked cuter than this.

Emira: (realizes something) Oh no, I think that's the drawing Edric drew on Otabin's book. The Wailing Star must have brought those changes to life with him, corrupted him. Just like that duck book from earlier.

Lincoln: And it has Luz and Amity. We have to do something.

Luz meanwhile, looks at her sewn in arm, numb. She moves it, the page goes with it, and it lights up again.

Luz: No, we aren't. Follow my lead. (She slams her feet against the book.) One.

Amity: What are you doing?

Luz: Two. Three.

Amity and Luz both yell as the book falls, hitting Otabin on the head. When he recovers, both the book and its prisoners are gone.

Otabin: (Running after them.) Come back!

Lincoln looks at them and suddenly the memory of what he

He and Emira go to where Luz and Amity went but are interrupted by a blast of dark energy. They turn to see a swarm of blackened bodies burning with an ethereal, bluish-white flame violently twitcing at them. Their mere presence causes their vision to go blurry. Some take on a skeletal appearance, some appear insectoid, some with a bulky physique and a cleft upper lip, some are more machine than organic, some appear more abberant and demonic, while a few appear more human, twelve human forms that only make Lincoln mad.

Emira: (stammers) Wh-Where did they come from?

Lincoln (clenches his fist, growling) They came from the books that you read. The Wailing Star's power can bring the contents of any open book to life. You read from both the codex and my journal, and they all came alive, but the beings from my journal are all wrong, corrupted not like Otabin. The majority must have come from the Codex's bestiary section, and it was a big bestiary. (calms down slightly) I don't blame you, Emira. You just wanted to apologize, know more about me.

Many of the monsters begin screeching at them, hungering for blood. Lincoln unsheathes Caliburn and requips his helm while Emira readies herself for battle.

Elsewhere

Cut to Luz and Amity running through the library, still sewn to the book. They duck behind a small shelf.

Amity: (grunts.) Now what?

Luz: I don't know. I didn't even think that would work. I was like "roaaar".

Amity stares at her and chuckles.

Luz grins. The moment is ruined when Otabin's needle pierces the page to the left of Luz's head and she screams.

Otabin: Friends. (growls)

He uses the needle and thread as a fishing line, pulling the book towards him. Amity and Luz scream as they knock the book off the shelf and onto the floor. Luz tries to tear at the string keeping her arm down. Amity grabs onto a ladder, then hooks her legs around her, freeing her arm and throwing her back into a return cart.

Amity: Luz!

Luz: Me!

Otabin grabs the book and pulls it all the way towards him. Luz tries to kick him in the chest. Otabin grabs the needle and runs through it.

Otabin: You squirm and fight, you scream and shout. But friendship will always win.

Luz whimpers as the rest of her limbs are tied down. The thread wraps around Luz's head. Otabin slowly pulls it tight, and Luz braces for it. Amity rides in on the book return cart.

Otabin: (Looking up.) Huh?

He tries to evade but the corrupted protagonist is quickly held back by glowing strands appearing around him, binding him. Lincoln appears followed by Emira, his blade thinned down to the shape of a sewing needle, wrapped in those same strands. Amity screams, ramming him. Lincoln tugs at them, hurtling Otabin into a series of bookshelves, which falls on him. He struggles under it. Amity pulls the string keeping Luz down off the book.

Luz: Oh. Third dimension how I've missed you. Lincoln?!

Amity: Emira?! What are you two doing here?

Lincoln: Helping Em be a better older sister for starters! (grunts) I don't know how long I can hold him back. Besides, we've much bigger problems.

The corrupted creatures come swarming at them, tearing apart the libary book by book with every frenzied swipe. Emira erects a barrier to try and hold them back, Lincoln sends a beam of energy at her, increasing her stamina and keeping her grip on the wall.

Emira: (surprised by the gift) Whatever you're doing, keep it up! Guess I owe you for this.

Luz: Where did they come from?! Was it from your book?

Lincoln says nothing, confirming her answer. Edric bursts through the front door, carrying a large variety of potions.

Lincoln: (surprised) Ed? I thought you went off goblin-tipping?

Edric: Emira wanted me to wait outside. But what you said really nagged at me and I knew it would be a pain if I let it go on. Then I heard Mittens scream and that horrible screeching. I ran off to get my secret stash of potions and came back here as soon as I could.

Amity (gasps, pulls a pencil out of her pocket and writes in the giant book.) "Luz has to right a wrong."

A giant magic eraser comes out of the book. Amity catches him.

Amity: Luz, quick. (Tosses the eraser at her)

Luz catches it and runs towards Otabin and erases Edric's drawings on the page of the book. Lincoln releases his grip on the character while he kneels on the ground, tired from the strain and Emira begins to buckle as well. Otabin returns to normal and everything falls to the ground. Luz catches Otabin and gets him to his feet. Amity walks over and picks him up.

Otabin: I'm so sorry. I do not know what happened to me.

Amity: Hey, it's okay. We're still friends.

A cracking sound can be heard as the barrier can no longer be sustained. Edric throws some potions at the barrier to reinforce it, but it's a rush job at best.

Luz: Okay, now that Otabin has been restored, any ideas of how to deal with these monsters?

Lincoln looks to his journal and gets an idea. He begins to take out a pen and begins writing in it.

Edric: Lincoln, now's not the time to write a last will and testament!

Lincoln opens the grimoire and opens it too. Light emerges from the books, intertwining together and shining upon the sextet. The light dims to reveal that they now wear full setss of armor. Amity is purple with a bond around her left forearm and carries a crescent blade, Edric's is black and organe with a hooded cloak and a twin dagger symbol, akin to the knives on his hands.

Emira's is more bulky with a mark around her waist and charged blue pieces on her armor, a hammer and shield equipped. Luz has her Azura costume back on, but carries a mixed future-fantasy flair and more armor components with a bond similar to Amity's. She wields a dual glaive-staff hybrid and a shield. Lincoln's armor appears to have been improved since last time, showing more ornamentation, sporting a similar shield and an evolved Caliburn. Otabin is given a mail armor and his needle and string are enchanted.

Luz: What the-? Lincoln? Did you write all this?

Lincoln nods, tossing the journal to her which reads. "Faced against this taken blight, Otabin and his new friends are given a blessing of the Azarathians by the white-haired warrior. Their power would be restored, their bodies revitalized, their powers enhanced and would be granted armor and weapons best suited for them."

Lincoln: Not all of it, simply used the Codex's pages as references. Just because I've got nice threads on, doesn't mean I can't share them with my friends.

Emira smiles at this gesture, not in a fake "fooled you" type of smile she gives to Amity and others, but a genuine one. The team huddles around each other as the monsters surround them. They all exchange glances with one another and nod with each other. Then they charge.

Despite the damage done to the library. The heroes endure. Although the creatures have the numbers advatage, they're simply outpowered, outsmarted, outgunned, and outmatched. Edric had coated his blades with his more toxic potions, used to devastating effect against the fallen insectoids through its flight or penetration.

Edric: (thrilled) Woo! Who knew that this would be way more fun than goblin-tipping!

Amity's abominations appear far stronger than what the glyph Lilith slipped onto her neck could offer, passing through what the larger ones could muster and hardening parts of their bodies into bedrock and breaking their armor. Otabin helps provide back up, zooming under their feet and setting them up for his reader to knock them down.

Otabin: Those who seek to harm my friends, will be met with a worthy end.

Amity: Though I entered these halls with disdain and rage, we will leave without pain, having turned the page. Dang it, Otabin. You've got me rhyming too!

Luz appears to become a natural when it comes to the gliave and shield, keeping the malfunctioning machines at a distance and slamming into them when the gap closes. One of them gets past Luz's defenses, and out of instinct, squeezes the gliave. An energy blast shoots of the weapon, destroying the one dared strike her.

Luz: (astonished) Wow, never seen a spear do that before. I can only imagine what that book can do with my fanfiction.

As for Lincoln and Emira, they seem to be dueling together in a dance of death against the rest. The Azarathian with the skeletal creatures and the Blight with the abberants. They would appear to set up a "kill zone" The constructs that Emira creates would be able to hit harder with electrified strikes and its caster would be able to regenerate and heal their friends wounds. Those that pass them would get hit by her hammer.

Lincoln's light would replenish any magic the heroes use and would take charge, wiping any trace of their scourge. Those that get to close to him would be severed by his blade. Eventually the sextet would whittle them all down until one humanoid amalgam remained and its strongest forces.

Emira would give a glance at Caliburn and would get an idea, she claps her free hand on the hammer, then pulls on its maul, extending it. She grabs one of its ends and uses it as a blade. They begin the session, in which they perform a rapid flurry of attacks. Then they rapidly stab an enemy with their swords, followed by firing a barrage of orbs at enemies. Lincoln's being akin to suns while Emira is akin to moons.

Afterwards, They turn their backs toward each other, and the next phase begins. The duo link arms and summon thirteen swords to perform a spinning slash attack. After using the previous two moves twice, the next technique, Lincoln and Emira coating their blades in an aura. Emira is handed Caliburn and slashes at enemies with it alongside his own, before passing both his blade and Emira's sabre to Lincoln so he can do the same. The performance is done twice and finally their blades float side-by-side in connecting energy orbs that reel in enemies before exploding.

With this act, all the remaining monsters are destroyed, leaving the teens and Otabin with their laurels, the armor and weapons either dissipating or reverting to their original state. Lincoln and Emira give a satisfied look to each other, then quickly turn away, realizing what they've done mere moments ago. Edric walks over to the Azarathian, head hung low. The Blight brother makes eye contact and awkwardly extends his hand to him.

Lincoln does nothing, then gives a playful slug at his right arm. Edric smirks, having restored their bond. Luz looks to Amity and gives her a nod and Otabin's book. Amity nods to Luz, who closes the book. Otabin disappears, making Amity look sad. Luz, Lincoln, Emira all walk up to her and smile.

Amity: (notices the mess) Wait a minuite, who's going to clean up all this mess!?

Lincoln simply replies by coughing and pulling out his pen and journal again.

Morning

Cut to the morning when the five leave the library.

Luz: What an adventure. Thanks for helping clean up. I'm glad that the Wailing Star's magic still had an effect on Lincoln's book.

Emira: Yes, we should have done it because of the mistake we made. (to Amity) Mit.. Amity, we're sorry. Edric and I were just tired of you ratting us out all the time.

Edric: We just wanted an escape from all the expectations placed on us and I suppose that we may have gotten too far tonight. Have any idea of how we can reapy you?

Amity: (smiles) Thanks, guys. You can thank me by actually bothering to go to class every now and then. (to Luz and Lincoln) This never happened.

Lincoln: What happened?

Luz: (lightly chuckles) Wait. It's not worth reading your diary, but do you want to borrow this? (Holds up Good Witch Azura 5) I noticed you only had up to four.

Amity: (takes it, also laughing at Lincoln's jest) Thank you. (Starts to walk away, stops; he sighs and turns around.) Maybe you're not bullies. I haven't exactly been the friendliest witch either. I'll think about that. (It moves away.)

Luz grabs the strap of her messenger bag as she watches Amity leave.

Emira: Again, I want to apologize for what happened. I didn't know that you would take what we did so adversely.

Luz: Calm down, everything is fine.

Lincoln: if you don't worry about it, everything is fi-

He freezes when he feels the weight of something on his cheek.

Emira: Now we're even.

Emira runs after Amity with Edric, leaving Lincoln blushing.

Luz: (smugly) Lincoln, you're doing that thing with your face again. Not the scale thing, but the other thing. So... Emira, huh?

Lincoln (yells) STOP TALKING!

Living Room, The Owl House, Boiling Isles, Demon Realm

Cut to Luz and Lincoln entering the Owl House.

Luz: Hi guys. We're...

Everyone is asleep, snoring, on the green couch, Eda holding the baby bats and King on her lap.

Luz: home. (Smiles at them)

Lincoln pulls out his cell phone and takes a photo.

The door bangs open.

Hooty: Ding-dong!

Lincoln / Luz: Hooty.

The head of a giant woman with bat wings creeps into the living room.

Luz: Whoa. You must be Mama.

Lincoln: They definetly take after her.

Bat Queen: Yi Yi. Mama is I. And I is the Bat Queen. (Whistles)

Lincoln: And I am impressed.

The baby bats fly away from Eda and settle into Bat Queen's hair.

Bat Queen: Aah! Snuggle dumplings.

Lincoln: Aw!

She throws up a treasure chest, which opens to reveal several hundred snails. The Bat Queen also spits out an Aztec death whistle on top of the snails.

Bat Queen: For troubles. Eda is owed one.

She squeezes back out the doorway and stops for a moment, she turns to Lincoln, remembering something from long ago, then flies away. Luz closes the door.

Eda: (Sleep talk) Ah. Sweet babies, Aiden, Miwa. (Wakes up) Babies? Where are the babies?

Luz mimes flying away.

Lincoln: The Bat Queen arrived and took them away. She coughed up a snail chest and whistle. She looked at me like she recognized me.

Eda: Oh. And I also taught Junior to pick locks. Wait, she recognized you?

Luz: Your night looks very successful. Look at all that money you made. And check out this cool whistle that scary woman gave you. (Spit drops off the whistle) I'd wash it before using it.

Eda: Yes. We did it all for the money. (earning a raised eyebrow from Lincoln)

King: I miss my babies. (Hugs Eda.)

Luz: We actually got you something from the library.

She gives Eda a book titled Coping with Empty Nest Syndrome.

Eda: (Laughs) Thanks guys. So how was your night?

Luz: Good. Then bad. Then maybe good?

Lincoln: (rubs his arm) It's complicated. I don't want to talk about it.

The door squeaks.

Hooty: Hey, do you want to hear about my night?

Luz: Ugh. No!

Eda: No!

King: That's not something anyone wants.

Lincoln: I want to hear it.

Unknown

We gaze upon a series of ruins; overgrown with plantlife and heavily eroded by time, that is until an emerald light engulfs the the ruins as a whole. As if time is being pushed backwards, the ruins begin to pull themselves together, the plantlife withdraws from it's poistion, only to grow new pathways. And as the sky moves up to the skyline, we can see more of that same light occur across locations across the isles.
