Chapter 2:
Steffy and Taylor are sitting in Steffy's living room, Douglas, Kelly, and Hayes' laughter can be heard from the other room. Taylor and Steffy go to sit on the couch together smiling as they reminice about the fun, eventful day with the kids.
"Oh my goodness they have so much energy." Taylor says as she sits on the couch exhausted from their long day of adventure with the kids.
"I know," Steffy agrees, "You would think the zoo, the park, and the beach would have worn them out."
"Well it sure wore me out." Taylor laughed
"Me too, but it was so much fun. Douglas, Kelly, and Hayes had so much fun today." Steffy says smiling as she takes a sip of her tea, "Not to change the subject from our mother, daughter, grandkids day of adventure, but have you heard from Thomas recently?"
"Yes." Taylor states smiling, "He seems to be doing really well in New York. Have you talked to him recently?"
Steffy nods as she takes another sip of her tea. "I video chatted with him this morning before you got here, since Douglas is spending the weekend here I figured Thomas would want to talk to him, you know, without supervision."
Taylor scrunches her eyebrows in confusion, "What do you mean supervision?"
"Didn't he tell you?" Steffy is surprised he didn't keep their mother in the loop, "Huh, I guess he didn't want to worry or upset you. Anytime Douglas has a video chat with him at Hope and Liam's place either Hope or Liam MUST be present. They monitor him then they cut off the call when they feel he's talked to Douglas long enough."
"That's ridiculous! Douglas is Thomas' son, what do they think he is going to tell him if they let him talk to his father alone." Taylor rolls her eyes. "I'm glad he is getting his life sorted out, but I can't wait for him to get home. He needs to take Douglas out of that environment, it's not healthy with Hope, Liam, Brooke and now Ridge telling him all these terrible things about his own father."
"I agree, but Hope would is not going to go down without a fight." Steffy says shaking her head, "I'm so disgusted with dad and granddad, with the way they are treating Thomas. He's getting better, I talk to him every day. He has his priorities straight." Steffy says in disgust of her father and grandfather.
"They'll come around."
"Honestly I don't care if they do. They know I am furious with them. I won't talk to them unless it's work related. I just can't believe I've been so blind all these years. Thinking that they were great role models. Thinking that dad was a good father." Steffy shakes her head.
"It's my fault, I allowed it to go on for so many years. I put it in your head that this is how a good man treats his family."
"Mom you were gone for so long, taken from us. Don't blame yourself." Steffy and Taylor smile at each other, just then both of their phones go off. "It's a text message from Thomas, he wants everyone to meet here within a hour." They both stare at each other in confusion. "This text is to everyone." Taylor and Steffy both look worried.
