"Mom!"

Sakura heard her daughter scream. She was in the kitchen, preparing fruit, when Sarada decided it was a good time to call out to her. "I'll be right there!"

Taking the watermelon and quickly slicing it, she picked up the fruit tray and headed for the garden exit. There Sakura found Sarada with Sasuke, crouching. She didn't see what had caught their attention.

"What have you got there?" she walked over to the table and placed a tray on it.

"Cats!" with enthusiasm in her voice, Sarada stood up and ran over to Sakura, then took her hand and led to the animals.

A plain black cat was sitting on the grass and washing itself. The other three were playing together next to him.

"Another one!" Sakura looked at Sasuke to explain what their daughter meant.

"There was another one, but it went after something."

"Ahh, probably to hunt for food."

Sarada raised her head "And can I give them food?" Sakura smiled.

"Of course, honey. We have something for the cats in the kitchen." Sarada got up quickly and before Sakura knew it, she had disappeared around the corner.

"I'll help her." Sasuke rose from his seat as well.

Sarada was a little too small to be able to handle herself in the kitchen.

"Is it fair to say that this cat is an inseparable part of us?"

"Hm, I guess so." Sasuke looked at her with a smirk on his lips "He's come a long way. Along with us."

"Long, but worth every second." Sakura walked up to her husband and kissed him. Sasuke smiled softly.

"Worth everything."
