Sakura stood behind the counter and watched the people coming in.
There were few customers today. It was already sixteen o'clock and five people had entered the store. The day was slowly starting to get long for Sakura.
She was tapping her fingers on the counter when the bell announced that a new person had arrived.
Sakura stood up and looked at the man walking inside. He had black hair and a long dark coat. He looked like he was a similar age to her.
"Good morning." He looked at Sakura
"Good morning."
"Can I help you with something?" he turned on his heel and walked over to a shelf of nail polish.
"Maybe you can recommend the best one?" he pointed to the products.
"Sure. For the wife?" she asked reflexively. Men had come here before to buy things for their partners. And since he was most likely Sakura's age, she guessed that he might already have a wife. She was the one who simply had no luck in love.
"I don't have a wife."
"Oh. Sorry, I inferred that too quickly."
"That's okay. For my daughter."
"How old is she?"
"Three."
"I don't know if nail polish for someone so young is a good idea."
"No, but she really wanted it."
"Well, I can suggest a conditioner that gives a soft color. That option would be better."
"Okey." Sakura took the product and walked to the cash register. As she gave the receipt, he spoke up.
"Sasuke."
She looked at him and blinked. After a moment she realized he had introduced himself to her.
"...Sakura."
He smiled and took the groceries.

"...Then he showed up at my store every other day. After two weeks, I couldn't stand it and asked if he would go out with me."
"And to this day I still wonder why it took him so long." spoke up Sarada from the kitchen.
"It's not as easy as it sounds." Sasuke commented.
"I thought it would be more interesting." Aya scoffed. She was only two years old and didn't understand much yet.
"Done!" shouted Sarada.
Sakura rose from the couch and made her way to the dining room. She sat Aya in a chair and placed a kiss on Sasuke's cheek in thanks for making dinner.
The four of them sat down to their meal.
And to think, it all started with Sarada's simple whim of getting nail polish for her birthday.
