Sakura first saw Sasuke when she was ten years old. He had come with his parents to her mansion then.

She had never seen such a beautiful boy before. He was wearing perfectly fitting clothes and his hair was tied in a short ponytail.

"Of course he told me. Why are you marrying me off to a stranger? Why couldn't it be, I don't know, Sasuke-kun?"

"Sakura dear, there's so much you don't know about our world yet."

"But Sasuke-"

"Child, you talk as if you were in love." this time the father spoke up

"I am not in lo -" she cut off "And even if I were in love, what then?"

"You couldn't be, after all, you only saw him the second time."

"Ever heard of falling in love at first sight, mother?" before Mebuki could answer, Kizashi interjected.

"This conversation is over. Sasuke is out of your league." he left the room.

Three years had passed.

Sakura thought that things would really change during that time. However, she was standing right now in her wedding dress and receiving wishes from others.

After her relative, it was time for Sasuke. He was dressed beautifully as usual.

Looking at him now, Sakura was reminded of all the meetings they had had. Since that unfortunate day, strolling through the garden every week had become the norm. Sakura could now tell that she had fallen in love.

But what did that get her? She had just become the wife of the wrong person.

"Sakura..."

"I told you this dress would look better." she tried to cheer up the atmosphere.

"Aa, it looks gorgeous."

"I assume your wishes will be the same as any other person's." she laughed.

"I didn't come to wish you well."

"Oh..."

"I want to give you this." Sakura looked at her hand.

There was a gold bracelet with a small swan on it.

"Thank you."

"I hope you still want to see each other for walks in the gardens."

"Always."
