It happened unexpectedly fast.

Sasuke and his team were in the forest one moment, and the next they were lying flat on the dirty ground, in the same forest, but different nonetheless.

"What... what happened?" asked a shocked Sakura.

"Maybe it's a trick, dattebayo." Naruto stood up and looked around carefully

"Keep your eyes open, someone might want to attack us." he quieted down.

Sasuke turned his gaze to where his friend was looking. Out of the corner of the eye, he noticed Sakura, who had her mouth open.

His eyes met ... his eyes? The man standing before them resembled Sasuke, but by what miracle was that possible?

"Sasuke-kun! Did you find it?" Someone called out to him. Or not him, but the man in front of them.

"Sakura-chan," whispered Naruto, "do you think it's possible?"

"It is not proven that time travel exists. But it can't be denied either."

"You know, he really looks like Sasuke, and she..."

"Like Sakura," finished Sasuke.

Everyone looked at the woman. Her face looked like Sakura's, only older. However, she was still beautiful.

"We have a little problem," said older Sasuke.

"I noticed."

"Are you guys real?"

"Are you stupid?" asked Sasuke.

The older version of himself rolled the eyes and smiled under his breath.

"Oi, watch what you say, Sasuke!"

"Stop it." Sakura tried to intervene.

"We are real." replied the woman. Sakura looked at her version from the future with fascination.

"Wow." Naruto ran up to the two shinobi

"How old are you, are you on a mission now, where am I, what are you doing in life...-?"

"You know we can't tell you, right?" laughed the elder Sakura. "You won't even remember that you saw us."

"Ehh..."

Naruto continued to say something under his breath, but at that moment the other version of Sakura turned her back. And Sasuke noticed the Uchiha clan symbol on her clothing. It took a moment for him and the younger Sakura to put the facts together.

Sakura opened her eyes wide, in which a sparkle could be seen. She was surprised and delighted. But Sasuke was relieved. Now he was sure he will achieve his goals and spend the rest of his life with the person who meant a lot to him.
