Hogwarts (Night)
After the feast ended, Calore and the other Slytherin first-years followed their prefect, an older girl named Gemma, out of the Great Hall and into the Dungeons. Down a flight of stairs, the group reached a bare stretch of stone wall where Gemma waited for the first-years to gather.
"To get to the Common Room, you must reach this wall." Gemma said. "There's a password that changes with each term. This term's password is 'Slughorn'." With that last word, the bricks and mortar of the wall moved around to reveal a corridor that lead to a warm-ish room.
'Wait a minute. ARE WE UNDER THE LAKE!?' Calore thought to herself, trying not to hyperventilate. 'It's okay. It's okay. This room has probably been here for generations, so worrying about something as little as the lake crushing it is just ridiculous.' she rationalized. She didn't unclench her fists, though.
"This is the Slytherin Common Room." Gemma explained. "As Slytherins, we need to stick together. The other Houses won't be kind to you."
"Indeed." a new voice said. The first-years turned to the doorway to find that Professor Snape had entered the room. "I am Professor Severus Snape, your Head of House and Potions Master. If there are any problems, you will come to me. Now, go and find your dormitories."
As the first-years found their rooms, Calore noticed that Snape kept a close eye on her specifically. If what she heard from Ollivander was any indication, it was probably because she was Harry's sister. She'd likely have to deal with curious stares from her students as well. The blonde decided to follow the other first-years in hopes of finding her dorm. A girl she knew from the Sorting as Daphne Greengrass was in front of a set of staircases, speaking with Gemma.
"Xiao-Long? You're with me and Tracy." the girl said.
Nodding, Calore followed Daphne up one of the staircases and through a hallway until they finally made it to the dorm. It was a relatively large room, with three beds lined up against the wall. Her suitcase was at the foot of the bed on the far left, so she decided to lay down on it.
"So, you're related to Harry Potter?" a girl Calore assumed was Tracy asked.
"Yep. He's my younger brother." the blonde said, smiling.
"I didn't know he had siblings. Or that his middle name was Chinese." Daphne said.
"Well, legally he's my stepbrother." Calore said. "My dad adopted him when we were both babies, so we basically grew up like siblings."
"So, are you Chinese? You don't look like it." Tracy asked.
"Not entirely. I'm mostly Italian and American." the young pyromancer said.
"Interesting." Tracy said. "But your accent sounds American. Shouldn't you be at an American school, like Ilvermorny?"
"Legally, yes." Calore admitted. "But Harry's birth parents arranged for him to come to Hogwarts once he was of age, and I wasn't about to let him go without me."
"And Dumbledore allowed it?" Daphne asked, curious about her new dormmate.
"My dad is a VERY persuasive man. If he wants something, there's nobody who can stop him from getting it." the Xiao-Long said, proud of her lineage. "I'm guessing Dumbledore thought it was better to give in to his demands instead of making an enemy he couldn't beat."
'Okay, how strong is her father?' Daphne wondered, hoping that the girl in front of her was exaggerating. If her father was truly strong enough to strongarm Dumbledore of all people into just letting his daughter into Hogwarts, then that man had to have been stronger than even He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
"What about-" Tracy's question was cut off by the sound of snoring. 'How did she fall asleep that fast?' she wondered.
After everyone else fell asleep, nobody paid attention to the fact that Calore's bed had caught fire.
Godric's Hollow (Night)
"You'd think that after 10 years, someone would've fixed up this dump." Dominic said as he solemnly gazed upon the house where Harry's birth parents met their end. "Didn't it take twice as long to repair Beacon after what you and Cinder did? That's different. Nobody could go near the place because of the fallout. It's probably the same here. In a metaphorical sense, of course. How so? Think about it. This is where one of, if not the world's most terrifying wizard died. If people held this place in reverence because of that, then they likely would've wanted it to remain destroyed as a reminder of his defeat."
With D2's words in mind, Dominic took a second look at the ruins before walking to the graveyard. "Welp, time to desecrate a grave." he cheerfully said as he passed through the gates. It wasn't hard to find the one he was looking for, as only one had magical residue on it.
Snapping his fingers, the blonde opened a Dimensional Door behind him. Raising his hand, the entire plot of land the grave was in glowed red before it lifted off the ground and through the door.
"I really hope this idea works." he said as he walked through the door, which vanished as soon as he did so.
Meanwhile, Bathilda Bagshot was wondering if she was going senile.
