Danny made it home, still shocked by what Mr. Lancer did. He was paired up with Bowsette for their project. The one girl that seems to hate him for whatever reason. Signing, Danny opened the door, not seeing his parents talking to someone until his father spoke up.
"Hey, Danny! Check's who's here!"
Danny stops before facing a man wearing a black business suit and had red hair. Danny thought he look familiar but couldn't place it.
"Ah, so you're the Danny Fenton my daughter tells me about." The Man said, standing up.
"Your daughter?" Danny asked, confused.
"Yes, my daughter, Bowsette Koopa." The man said, shocking Danny.
'This is Bowsette's father?!' Danny thought before shaking his head.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Koopa," Danny said, hoping he wasn't as bad as his daughter or worst.
"Just call me Bowser. Now I heard that your teacher paired you and my daughter up for a project?" Bowser asked.
Danny nods, making Bowser smile.
"Very well," He said, pulling out a card.
"What's this?" Danny asked.
"The main card to enter my house and my business. Since you're going to be working with my daughter, I might as well let you enter without any trouble." Bowser said, shocking him again.
"WHAT?!" Danny shouted, along with his parents.
"Are you sure Mr. Koop...I mean, Bowser?" Danny asked, staring at the card.
"Yes. I also spoke to your teacher. He knows very well that I'm not at all pleased with his actions. But it won't get in the way of your project. Oh, he said that project can be anything you chose." Bowser said.
Danny blinks before taking the card. He still didn't understand any of this. However, Bowser smiles before patting Danny's shoulder.
"Just know that I'm trusting my daughter to you. Treat her fairly and we'll see about giving you a full card." Bowser said, smirking.
"So, you're not here too..." Jack started, looking upset.
"Maybe in the future, Mr. Fenton. For now, we might as well start small." Bowser said before grabbing one of the doughnuts.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Danny." He said, eating it.
With that, Bowser left Fenton Works. Danny just looked at the card, wondering if this was all true.
Koopa Mansion, 10 minutes later,
"YOU DID WHAT?!"
Bowsette could not believe what her father just did. He gave Danny a business card that allows him to enter the mansion and the business he was running?!
"He's your partner, there will be times he has to come over here. Might as well, right?" Bowser said, knowing his daughter was a bit ticked off with him.
"But why did you give him that card?! Those are only meant for the rich and powerful!" Bowsette asked, upset.
"Because I like the boy. Unlike your last crush, I can tell he could be the one you wanted. I can also tell he'll do nothing to hurt you." Bowser said.
Bowsette growls. She knew what her father was trying to do. It wasn't that she didn't want him to come over, it was more like she want to know him outside her family life.
"Bowsette, since your mother passed away, you and I are the only Koopa left. I'm too old to be dating again and can't risk giving you a stepmother that might not like you." Bowser told her.
"But why him?! I don't want him to like me because of our family name!" Bowsette asked, knowing not to hide her feelings from her father.
"Because I want you to be happy. He has no girlfriends, no crushes, minus one he gave up on, and finally, I know you care about him. That other boy broke your heart. That's his loss. This boy, I can feel it. Our family name means nothing to him. His parents might be an odd bunch, but I know lovely parents when I see them. He's the one for you and I'm hoping to have him as my future son-in-law one day." Bowser said, smirking at the end.
"POPPA!" Bowsette shouted, her face fully red.
Bowser laughs before hugging his daughter.
"You're a jerk," Bowsette whispers.
"Your mother said the same." He said, making her sigh.
The father-daughter pair broke the hug before they spotted one of Bowser's oldest and trusted friend walk up.
"Ah, Kamek! Nice timing. I want you to tell everyone that we have a guest coming over for a while." Bowser said.
"Of course, may I ask who?" Kamek asked.
"Danny Fenton," Bowsette said.
"Oh? Has the young mistress finally sought out her love?" Kamek asked.
"They have been paired together in a school project," Bowser said, speaking first.
"I see. Should I prepare the study room?" Kamek asked.
"No, no. I gave Danny a full membership card. They can study where ever they wish." Bowser said, smirking at his daughter.
"Poppa!" Bowsette groans, hiding her face in her hands.
"As you wish, Master Bowser," Kamek said.
Bowser smiles before watching Kamek walk away. Bowsette signs, hoping this wouldn't backfire on her.
The next day,
Danny found himself in front of the gates of the Koopa Mansion. He was invited by Bowsette to come over during school hours so they could go over ideas. Strangely, she was acting nicer today. It threw everyone for a loop. Even Dash didn't understand it. Danny sighs before pulling out the card Bowser gave him, holding it up to the camera. The gates opened and Danny stepped inside. It was a bit of a walk toward the Mansion, but it did give Danny some times to calm his nerves.
When he reached the mansion, she saw Bowsette wanting for him.
"About time...I mean, welcome to my home." She said.
"Um, thanks?" Danny said, confused.
"Come on in. Poppa got a few rooms ready for any ideas we can come up with." Bowsette said, making Danny nod.
The two headed inside and Danny was a bit surprised to see the mansion. He had been over at Sam's a few times, but Bowsette's Mansion was much bigger. Bowsette clears her throat, snapping him out of his shock. She then leads Danny to her living room, hoping to talk there.
"Okay, Poppa is going to be gone for a few hours, so we have the place to ourselves for a while," Bowsette said, seeing Danny sitting on the floor.
"Get up here. You can sit on the couch." She said, surprising him.
Danny did so, sitting next to Bowette, who blushed before looking away.
"So, do you have any idea what project Mr. Lancer wants us to do?" Danny asked, making her sigh.
"From what I heard, it can be anything we want," Bowsette said, thinking.
"How about something Mr. Lancer would really enjoy?" Danny asked.
"You mean cover one of the plays and/or books he likes to say?" Bowsette asked.
"Yeah. I may not be in verse with those, but I'm willy to try." Danny said.
"Hmm, worth a shot. KAMEK!" Bowsette said, then shouted.
"Yes, young mistress?"
"Bring me all the books about Shakespeare plays and grab a few others on this list." She said, handing him a paper.
"Right way." He said, taking the listen.
"While we wait, let's talk," Bowsette said, knowing it would take a while.
"About what?" Danny asked.
"Anything," Bowsette said, not caring.
"Okay. What happened to your mom?" Danny asked, hoping he wasn't going to make her upset.
Bowsette looks away, sighing. She knew that Danny had no idea of what happened to her mother. She could barely remember her face.
"She passed away when I was still a baby. I barely remember anything about her. Not even her face. Poppa told me she was kind, caring, and very beautiful. The only thing I do remember of her is that she would hold me close when I was upset or just lonely. Poppa tries to do the same, but it feels off. I miss Mamma, but I'm not letting it get to me. And don't say "I'm sorry". I heard it enough times." Bowsette said.
Danny held his tongue, stopping himself from saying those words. He could see that Bowsette was really sad about her mother and how she barely knew anything about her. Wanting to change the subject, Danny decides to tell Bowsette something about himself.
"Well, I'm sure you heard, but I want to be an astronaut." He said, smiling.
Seeing what he was doing, Bowsette smiles.
"I did. I must admit, you dream big." She said.
"Thanks. I know it's going to take a lot of work, but I'll get there." Danny said.
"Heh, that's one thing I notice about you during classes. You always give it your all. Expcet at math." Bowsette said.
"I swear, it's like the teacher failed math themselves." Danny groans.
"Even I understood the math questions a lot better. I think Casper High needs new teachers." Bowsette said, sighing.
"Easier said than done," Danny said, sighing.
'Well, not for long. With my reports, Poppa is going to make a few changes at the school.' Bowsette thought.
"So, if you don't mind me asking, what did you transfer to Casper High?" Danny asked.
Bowsette frowns. She understood Danny didn't know what happen to her in her old school. He had no idea that her old crush break her heart by choosing to date another girl. Before she could give any answer, Danny spoke up again.
"Sorry. I can tell it's not something you don't feel like talking about." Danny said, had noticed the painful look on her face.
Bowsette blinks, surprised that he decides to give her space. It was one of the reasons she gain a crush on him. Danny seems to understand if someone was still feeling pain about something, he'll give them all the time they need before asking again. Another reason she gain a crush on him was because of how nice and kind he was. Much like her other crush. Bowsette looks away, smiling to herself.
'Maybe it's time I move on. He can keep that girl.' She thought.
However, Kamek returned with the books and sets them on the table. Bowsette sighs, thinking she would tell him another time.
"Well, let's get to work," Danny said, grabbing a book.
Bowsette nods and grabs one as well. She blushes at the title before quickly switching to a different one. She didn't need any romance right now. Plus, she read and saw that play many times. She did NOT need to have those dreams with Danny!
Well, some of you want more and here you go! Bowser gives Danny a card that would allow him to enter the mansion and the company if he so chooses and even supports his daughter wanting to be with him after her last heartbreak. So far, Bowsette and Danny got to know each other a little more. I even told a bit about Bowsette's mother. It seems that Bowsette is finally thinking about moving on, however, I'm not rushing. It will be a while before they truly start dating.
And for those that might have forgotten since I stated this in Booette's Mansion, this story, as well as Chompette the Dog-Girl, Danny does not have his powers. but that doesn't mean he's going to be powerless. I'm thinking over ideas of what Danny could do to show he's still a hero without his powers. Until then, I'll see you all for the next chapter.
