Cloud, Gordon, and the others entered Bone Village. Yuffie had more or less reconciled with her father and after a series of trials she had to endure was able to obtain the Levitation Materia. Bubby on the other hand was essentially banned from ever setting foot in Wutai after his scuffle with Godo and almost murdering Yuffie.
"This is the way to the City of the Ancients?" asked Barret.
"That's right." said Cloud,
"It's what Aerith showed me and Gordon in her vision. For now we'll ask if we can find a way there."
Cloud went over to a miner who was digging near the skeletal remains of a giant creature. When he saw Cloud approach he stopped what he was doing to greet him.
"Hello there!" He said in a friendly manner,
"What can I do for ya?"
"Do you know where we can find the City of the Ancients?" asked Cloud.
"The City of the Ancients? Ah, you must mean the Forgotten City!" The miner replied,
"If you want to get there you'll have to go through the Sleeping Forest. But from what I've heard you'll need the Lunar Harp in order to get there."
"And do you know where we can find that?" Cloud asked.
"Apparently it's buried somewhere around here. If you talk to my manager he should be able to help you find it, for a few of course." He said, as he gestured to a man a few feet away logging down logistics.
"Got it, thanks." said Cloud, as he went over to the man the miner pointed to.
"Hey," said Cloud, getting the man's attention.
"Are you in charge here?"
"That I am!" The manager replied,
"What do you need?"
"We're looking for the Lunar Harp and were told that you can help dig for it for a fee."
"That I can do for you." replied the manager,
"For 100 gil for one of my men a piece I can dig in any area of our excavation site. Just point to where you want us to dig and whatever we find will be yours!"
"Alright." Cloud replied,
"Just give me a second."
Cloud then went over to Coomer.
"Coomer," said Cloud,
"How many playcoins do I need to give you for you to point out where the Lunar Harp is buried?"
"Well Cloud, it'll cost you 1 playcoin!" said Coomer,
"If you want me to point to any other areas that may contain additional items it'll cost you more."
"I just need to know where the Lunar Harp is." replied Cloud,
"But how exactly do I give you a playcoin?"
"Just say you authorize the transaction!" replied Coomer.
"Uh okay, I authorize the transaction….?"
Coomer didn't reply, but instead climbed up to a nearby ledge. He then drew an X into the ground of where he was standing and then climbed back down to Cloud and the others.
"I marked the spot where the Lunar Harp should be buried!" said Coomer,
"You now have 7 playcoins remaining!"
"Alright then." said Cloud, somewhat doubtful of what Coomer just did,
"I'll go and inform the manager." He said, as he went back over to where the manager was sitting.
"My friend marked down where he thinks the Lunar Harp is. Have your team dig there."
"You got it!" replied the manager,
"But unfortunately this'll have to be an overnight thing. Don't worry though, we'll provide you all with a place to sleep during our excavation!"
Cloud sighed at this, he didn't want to wait around any longer but he did not have a choice in this instance.
"Alright, we'll stay here for the night." He replied,
"Just take us to where we're going to sleep."
"Of course!" The manager replied,
"But I must admit, we don't usually get outsiders around these parts. Your group is the third that's come through here!"
"Wait," said Cloud,
"There were others here besides us?"
"Yup." The manager replied,
"A girl in pink came here first and went through the Sleeping Forest. A little while after that three others came by and went through there as well!"
"Who were these three others?"
"Well, one had a black cape, the other looked like a security guard, and the other looked like a scientist."
"Wait a sec," said Gordon, as he interjected himself into the conversation,
"Did you say one looked like a scientist? And did this guy have a propeller hat on too?"
"That's correct!" replied the manager.
Gordon felt a pit in his stomach when the manager said that. Cloud himself didn't look too pleased about what he heard.
"O…..Okay." Gordon replied, as he walked away.
"Say, is your friend alright?" The manager asked concernedly.
"Don't worry about him," replied Cloud,
"Just show us where we'll be sleeping for the night."
The manager nodded and led them inside a hut that had lines of cots, more than enough for the group.
"We gotta sleep in these?" Yuffie complained.
"It'll only be for one night so deal with it." Cloud replied, as they all laid down in their own cot.
Gordon himself still had the same pit inside his stomach.
'Dammit Tommy what are you doing?'
It was morning. Everyone was up and ready to see the results of where the miners were told to dig. Gordon still had the uneasy feeling from yesterday.
"I'll go speak to the manager." said Cloud, as he went over to where the manager was sitting.
"Hey," The manager said, greeting Cloud,
"Good news, we were able to find the Lunar Harp!" He said, holding out a small golden harp.
"Uh thanks." Cloud replied, taking the harp from the man,
"And this will get us into the Sleeping Forest?"
"Correct!" The manager replied,
"If you need us to dig up any more areas please do not hesitate to ask!"
"Got it, thanks for the help." replied Cloud, as he went over to join the rest of the party.
"We have the Lunar Harp, now we just need to find the entrance to the Sleeping Forest."
"I can help with that!" said Coomer, as he took the harp from Cloud's possession and climbed up a nearby ledge.
He then held out the harp and began to play it. As he did, a series of trees began to shift and open up an entrance into the forest.
"Woah.." said Cid, as he and the rest approached the entrance,
"That's the way in?"
"Correct!" Coomer replied.
"Alright then." said Cloud,
"Did that cost me any playcoins?"
"That was a freebie." Coomer replied.
"Okay then." said Cloud, anxious at the tone of voice Coomer replied in.
"Well Coomer opened a way into the forest, let's get going."
"Wait." said Gordon, getting everyone's attention,
"Before we go on I need to have a science team meeting. The rest of you go on ahead."
Cloud looked at the others and nodded, signaling for them to go on ahead. They complied and entered the forest while Gordon, Cloud, Bubby, and Coomer hung back.
"Alright." said Gordon,
"Coomer, there's some things I need to ask you and…there's another thing I want to talk about."
"What did you want to ask me Gordon?"
"First, it has to do with the ice powers we saw you use back at Wutai." said Gordon,
"When did you suddenly get the power to control elements?"
"Hm, that is quite a question Gordon." Coomer replied,
"If I had to guess, if I eat Materia I gain its power!"
"You gain its power?" Cloud asked.
"That's just a guess, but I should inform you all that eating things that are alive isn't a pleasant experience!"
"So wait, that one Materia that I gave you back at the Gold Saucer, the Destruct Materia, do you have its power too?"
Coomer didn't reply, but gave a look that suggested he might.
"Alright then." said Gordon, trying to keep things moving along,
"Second, what did you tell Shinra?"
"What do you mean Gordon?"
"When we were inside the Temple, we encountered Tseng. When I asked him why Shinra wanted me he said that I should ask you." said Gordon,
"Coomer, what did you tell them about me?"
"Well, erm…I…."
He shot Cloud a glance before looking at Gordon again.
"I-I honestly can't remember, it's been 25 years after all."
"You can't remember? Are you sure?" Gordon asked,
"You're not keeping anything from me are you?"
"I would never keep anything from you Gordon!"
Gordon couldn't tell if Coomer was lying or not, but for now he would have to take his word on it.
"Okay then." said Gordon, dreading the last thing he was going to bring up.
"Lastly, I want to talk about our other member…"
"You mean Tommy?" asked Bubby,
"What do we have to say about that traitor?"
"He's not a traitor Bubby!" Gordon said,
"He's just….he's just a bit confused."
"Confused by what?" Bubby asked,
"He went with Sephiroth for a god damn beyblade! That doesn't sound like someone who's confused to me!"
"But we know Tommy, we know that he basically has the mind of a child. He just got easily swayed by what Sephiroth had to offer. We just need to get to him and…and…"
"And what?" asked Cloud,
"Gordon I hate to say this but we have to consider the possibility that Tommy is our enemy now."
"He is NOT our enemy!" shouted Gordon,
"You don't know Tommy like I do, none of you do! He was the first person by my side when I lost my arm, he stayed by my side when…"
Gordon went silent, he then thought back to when he met up with Tommy again after he lost his arm, and how Benrey gave Tommy a beyblade to look the other way while Gordon was getting attacked by marines.
'Would you go back if they gave you another beyblade?'
Tommy didn't reply back then, so with Sephiroth giving him one would that actually make him his enemy now?
Or would he do what he did back then?
"You don't sound certain Gordon," said Bubby.
"I am certain!" Gordon shot back,
"Look…let's just go with the others to the City, I'm sure…I'm sure we can convince Tommy to come back to us…"
The party made their way across a large lake and were at the entrance of the Forgotten City.
"We're here." said Cloud,
"Aerith is here, and so is Sephiroth and Benrey."
"And how do you know that?" asked Red XIII.
"I….I can feel it in my soul." Cloud said, turning to face the group.
"For now we'll go into groups of three like usual. Tifa, you and Bubby are with me. Gordon, go with Barret and Red XIII. Coomer, take Yuffie and Vincent. We'll meet back here in fifteen minutes. Cid and Cait Sith hang back here so we'll know where to rendezvous."
"You got it." said Gordon, as everyone went with their respective groups.
Gordon, Barret, and Red XIII went down a path that led to the right of the city. Cloud, Tifa, and Bubby went towards the left and Coomer, Vincent, and Yuffie went up the center.
Gordon, Barret, and Red XII all went up a path that led to a series of shell shaped structures that looked like housing units.
"We'll check each house and see if we can find anything." said Gordon,
"And if you find Tommy in any of them, let me know."
"Got it." said Red XII.
Gordon entered one of the houses on his own as did Barret and Red XIII.
Gordon checked the downstairs area before heading up to the second floor. He examined around for any signs of either Aerith or Tommy before checking the drawers.
He opened each drawer before he saw it: in one of the drawers was the stuffed Cactaur that Tommy won for Aerith back at the Gold Saucer, and next to it was an envelope that read "TOMMY" on it.
Gordon picked up the letter and examined it.
'This is what Aerith was talking about.' He thought,
'Should I open it?...No, when I see Tommy again I'll give it to him.'
He then pocketed the letter along with the Cactaur and began to leave. As he headed for the exit, Barret was there to greet him.
"Hey Gordon," said Barret.
"Uh hey Barret." replied Gordon, "Were you or Red XIII able to find anything?"
"Nothing." Barret replied,
"This place is completely deserted. How about you?"
"I found these." said Gordon, holding out a letter and a stuffed Cactaur.
"Huh." said Barret, as he examined both items,
"A letter for Tommy, and the stuffed Cactaur he won for Aerith, what are these doing here?"
"No idea, but Aerith said to give these to Tommy the next time I see him." Gordon replied, as he stored both items,
"Now let's get going." He said, as he went to exit the house.
"Wait a sec Gordon." Barret said, causing Gordon to stop and face him,
"Are you alright? You don't look so good."
Gordon took a breath.
"No Barret, I'm not doing good. This whole thing with Tommy is really getting to me."
"I know how you feel." Barret replied,
"Do you wanna talk about it?"
"Not really." said Gordon,
"But I should and….I can't help but consider the possibility that Cloud brought up."
"What possibility?"
"That Tommy could be our enemy now…"
They both fell silent, Barret wanted to say something in order to comfort Gordon but figured it would be best to let Gordon speak up first.
Gordon sighed.
"Look, I'm- I'm sure if I see Tommy again I can convince him to come back on our side."
"I'm sure you can but…"
"But what?" Gordon asked.
"It's like you said, we have to consider the possibility Tommy is against us, I mean look what happened between me and Dyne-"
"It's not like with Dyne!" Gordon shouted, cutting Barret off,
"I know Tommy, I-I know him he's…he's just confused and- and…"
Gordon went silent again, he really didn't want to consider Tommy his enemy now but the thought continued to swell inside his head.
"Everything alright?" Red XIII's voice could be heard from outside.
"Yeah we're fine just give us a sec!" Barret replied,
"Gordon I…I-"
"Let's just go." Gordon said abruptly, leaving the house.
Barret followed him after a few moments. He wanted to do something to make Gordon feel better but struggled to find anything that could.
And he hoped for Gordon's sake Tommy wasn't on Sephiroth and Benrey's side.
Cloud, Tifa, and Bubby were walking down the left path of the Forgotten City. Cloud still had the feeling from before of Aerith presence, along with Sephiroth and Benrey.
"Are you sure they're here?" Tifa asked Cloud.
"I am." Cloud replied,
"I can't explain it but I…I feel it in my soul, they're here."
"That doesn't make any fucking sense!" said Bubby, who was in front of the group,
"What do you mean by 'feeling it in your soul'?"
"I don't know." Cloud replied,
"Just trust me on this."
"Well whatever." Bubby said, as he continued walking on,
"Just don't do what you did back at the Temple."
"He couldn't control himself Bubby." said Tifa,
"Sephiroth was the one pulling the strings."
"Well he better not do it again!" Bubby replied,
"I'm not gonna pull him out of whatever funk he'll be in the future!" He said, as he continued walking on,
"I swear none of you people in this world are normal! Everything here is so god damn bizarre!" He rambled, as Cloud and Tifa half listened to him,
"Unlike me! I'm a completely normal human being and-"
He then came to a full stop, which in turn caused Cloud and Tifa to stop walking in turn.
"Bubby?" asked Tifa, "Is everything alright?"
"Oh shit." said Bubby, as that feeling he experienced back at Black Mesa was starting to take him over,
"It's happening again."
"What is?"
The sound of a dial-up modem could be heard as Bubby suddenly appeared a few feet further from them, then a few more feet away, and again, only this time he began spinning around irregularly. Both Cloud and Tifa looked at Bubby in confusion.
"Bubby?" Tifa said, as she looked at Cloud,
"Cloud what should we-"
And then, without warning, Bubby turned into a 4 door light blue sedan.
Both Cloud and Tifa stood there, unsure of what just happened.
"What the…" said Cloud, as he slowly approached Bubby, or at least he thought it was Bubby.
The car then turned back into Bubby, who was looking around trying to figure out what happened.
"What the? What the hell just happened?" Bubby asked,
"You tell us." said Cloud,
"You started acting weird and then turned into a car."
"I did?" asked Bubby,
"Oh yeah, I forgot I could do that."
"You can turn into a car?" asked Tifa.
"Uh well, we all have our secrets!" Bubby replied, as he turned to face a nearby housing unit,
"I'll just uh, go in here and investigate, don't follow me in or anything."
"Okay then." replied Cloud.
Bubby went into the house and turned the corner and went out of sight.
"Now let's see what's in here." He could be heard from outside.
"There's a kitchen in here and…."
"And what?" Cloud asked from outside,
"Is there something in there we can use?"
"There's a microwave in here!" Bubby shouted,
"Which is great because I'm hungry!"
"Bubby we don't have any food with us." said Tifa,
"Just come on out and-"
An explosion from inside could be heard as Bubby came running out of the house, and he was literally on fire.
"BUBBY!" Tifa shouted, as he ran past them.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HELP ME I'M BURNING I'M BURNING!!!"
Tifa and Cloud gave chase but found that Bubby was faster than he looked, and he was running down back at them and went right past them into the house, then back out again and right past them screaming.
"Cloud what should- what should we-" Tifa said, clearly panicking.
But as Bubby ram towards them again, the fire that engulfed him seemingly extinguished itself, and the pained expression he had was back to normal.
"I'm alright." He said, as if nothing happened.
"But- you were just-" Cloud said, struggling to make sense of what just happened, Bubby didn't even look like he had a scratch on him.
"How did you get on fire anyway?"
"I used a can of Chef Boyardee I had on me for a while, I put it in and the fucking microwave just blew up on me!"
"And how did that happen?" Cloud asked.
"Eh well, I had a lot of tinfoil wrapped around the can, figured that would heat it up faster."
"Bubby, I don't think that was very safe," said Tifa.
"I've done it plenty of times in the past! That was just a shitty microwave!" Bubby exclaimed.
Cloud shook his head and sighed.
"Well whatever, it's past us now." said Cloud,
"Now let's-"
"Hang on, shut up for a minute." said Bubby, as he put two fibers to his right ear,
"Huh? Won't believe what?…..He's here? Are you sure?……Alright, we're heading your way now." He said, taking his fingers off his ear.
"Who were you talking to?" asked Tifa.
"That was Dr. Coomer contacting me through my neural implants, he found Tommy!"
"Tommy's here?" Cloud asked,
"Are you sure?"
"Only one way to find out." said Bubby, as he walked past them,
"Now come on! I'm not gonna wait around for either of you!"
Tifa sighed.
"Well, guess we should get going." She said, as she followed Bubby.
Cloud stood there and shook his head.
'How did Gordon manage these guys?' He thought, as he followed Tifa and Bubby.
Coomer, Yuffie, and Vincent all entered the center structure in the City. Inside was a small lake that was sitting by an indoor shell shaped structure.
"What do you suppose is in there?" Yuffie asked.
"No idea," said Vincent,
"But we better inform Cloud and the others."
"I can do that!" said Coomer,
"I'll contact Bubby through his neural implants!"
"Neural implants?" asked Vincent,
"Since when did Bubby have those?"
"Since they grew him in Biological Research!" Coomer said, as Yuffie and Vincent gave him weird looks,
"Now after I contact Bubby I'll inform Gordon and we can-"
"Wait a minute." said Yuffie, as she noticed a familiar figure in the distance,
"Is that…..Tommy!?"
Both Vincent and Coomer looked at where Yuffie had her attention, and saw Tommy standing at the entrance of the structure by the lake.
"Uh, hey Tommy!" Yuffie said.
"Hello Ms. Kisaragi!" Tommy replied while waving,
"And hi Dr. Coomer and Mr. Valentine!"
"Uh hello Tommy." said Coomer, although clearly nervous,
"Um is uh, is Aerith here by any chance?"
"Yeah, she is!" Tommy said excitedly,
"Sephiroth and Benrey are here too! We're all waiting inside, follow me!"
He then went into the structure out of sight.
"Crap, they're here too." said Yuffie,
"Coomer, contact the others now!"
"You got it!" He replied, as he put two fingers to his ear.
He informed Bubby of the current situation and took his fingers off his ear.
"Bubby is on his way with Cloud and Tifa, and I'm sure they'll run into Gordon and the others on the way too!"
10 minutes later and the rest of the party was walking in with Gordon and Cloud at the front.
"Coomer," said Gordon, as he walked up to him,
"Bubby told me you saw Tommy, where is he now?"
"He went in there Gordon!" said Coomer, pointing to the structure by the lake,
"He also said that Aerith, Sephiroth, and Benrey are here too!"
"They're here as well?" said Cloud, a sense of urgency in his voice,
"If that's the case we need to get moving now!"
The party then followed Cloud to the structure.
"Coomer, when you saw Tommy, did he seem hostile at all?" Gordon asked,
"Tell me the truth."
"Not at all Gordon, he seemed normal to me and looked like he wanted us to come and see Aerith!" Coomer replied.
"Alright, alright." said Gordon.
'Alright, it doesn't seem like Tommy's on their side, which is a relief, but…'
A realization then crossed Gordon's mind.
'Shit, Tommy has no idea what's about to happen in a few moments. Can I trust him to live up to his end and protect Aerith?' His thoughts continued to race,
'No, I can't take any chances! I'll have to save Aerith myself!'
The party descended down a large glass stairwell down to an area that had another lake and several platforms.
"Are you sure they're down here?" asked Barret.
"I am, I can feel it." said Cloud, as they all reached the bottom.
"Alright, just stick close okay, if Benrey or Sephiroth are here they could come out at any time." said Gordon.
"Okay then." said Cloud,
"We just need to find-"
"Cloud look!"
Over on a platform that had lighting shining down onto it was Aerith, and she seemingly had not noticed them as she was kneeling down and praying.
"Aerith." said Cloud, as he jumped onto a platform that led to where Aerith was.
"Cloud…" said Tifa as she approached him.
Cloud held his arm to signal for them to stay where they were as he hopped from platform to platform until he got onto the one Aerith was on.
Gordon meanwhile was frantically looking around for where Benrey or Tommy were.
'Okay, I know where Sephiroth is gonna pop out of but where are Benrey and Tommy?'
He then shook his head.
'No, gotta focus on Aerith first.'
He then hopped on the first platform to follow Cloud.
"Gordon, where are you going?" asked Red XIII,
"Cloud told us to-"
"I don't care!" replied Gordon,
"I'm not taking any chances, I'm going in!" He said, as he continued to hop from platform to platform.
Although it was admittedly a bigger challenge in VR than he thought.
Cloud meanwhile was approaching Aerith. As he did, his vision flashed red, he felt himself draw out his sword.
"Do it." Sephiroth's voice echoed in his head.
Cloud raised his sword and swung it down onto Aerith-
"CLOUD DON'T!" Gordon shouted, as he made his way onto the platform they were all on.
The sound of Gordon's voice caused him to stop himself from bringing the sword down onto Aerith just in time.
"What- what am I doing?" Cloud said, as he held his head and backed away.
Aerith opened her eyes and looked up at Cloud. Cloud meanwhile was looking at her, unsure of himself and what to do.
It was then Sephiroth appeared from above and had his sword drawn and was descending downwards.
"MOVE!" Gordon shouted, pushing Cloud out of the way.
He prepared to enter Devil Gun mode and aimed at Sephiroth, the gun was a moment from firing.
Then he noticed Benrey was standing in front of him.
"Wha-"
Benrey shoved Gordon with such force that it sent Gordon flying down the steps. Gordon's chaingun fired off, sending bullets everywhere as he fell into the water and began to sink down.
'Shit shit SHIT!'
Gordon tried to get his bearings as he was beginning to feel nauseous from all the movement.
'Please tell me that hit Sephiroth! PLEASE TELL ME THAT HIT SEPHIROTH!!'
As he looked upwards, he noticed a white Xbox 360 Controller floating down to him.
'What the fuck?'
The controller floated down past as he swam back up to the surface.
When he got to the surface he saw it: Cloud was holding a now lifeless Aerith as Sephiroth stood over him.
"No….NO!" Gordon shouted, as he struggled to get out of the water.
"Fuck come on COME ON!"
He looked up and saw Benrey standing by the edge of the platform looking at him.
"Can't let you do that Feetmaaaaaaaaaaaaan!" Benrey said mockingly,
"You're not screwing up the sequence of events on my watch!"
"You motherfucker!" Gordon said, hatred in his voice as he tried to swipe at Benrey.
"Gordon!" Tifa shouted, as she and the rest of the party began making their way to them.
Benrey then pulled out his Desert Eagle and shot at the party as they approached, which caused them to stagger.
Meanwhile Cloud continued to hold Aerith as Sephiroth stood over him.
"You need not worry Cloud, the girl will soon become apart of the Planet's energy." said Sephiroth,
"All that's left is for you to go North, and we'll be able to reach the Promised Land, and MAG will be mine-"
"Shut up." said Cloud, getting up to face Sephiroth,
"Shut the hell up!" He shouted,
"I don't give a damn about the Promised Land or some stupid video game! Because of you Aerith won't feel anger anymore! Or sadness! Or- or…."
"Stupid game?" said Sephiroth,
"I'll have you know MAG will become Sony's answer to Call of Duty! And in our world I'll make that a possibility!" He said,
"And it's not like you or anyone else here has any freewill. You're all just puppets in someone's game."
Benrey then joined Sephiroth, and they hooked his arm around his.
"Follow us if you wish to see our world become a reality."
He and Benrey then flew upwards, leaving Cloud standing there, looking down at the deceased Aerith.
"Cloud!" said Tifa, as she and the others made their way to him.
They then all saw Aerith, and an overwhelming sadness overcame each of them.
Yuffie had tears streaming down her eyes and began crying hysterically. Red XIII let out a pained howl. Barret, Cid, and Vincent were all trying their best to hide their sadness but tears were all clearly flowing down. Tifa went over to Aerith and shut her eyes, all while she was crying.
Bubby looked as if he had no idea how to feel, as if something like sadness and loss was foreign to him. Coomer had a pained look on his face.
Gordon meanwhile had guilt heavily swelling in his stomach, and it made him want to throw up.
'Fuck, I tried. I tried…'
Cloud was carrying Aerith's body as the others followed him.
He walked into the lake towards its center and laid her onto it. He backed away as her body slowly sank into the water and out of sight.
Everyone stood outside the lake and watched.
"What do we do now?" asked Yuffie.
"We go north." said Cloud, as he exited the lake and rejoined the others.
"They're both there. We go to where they are and stop them for good."
Everyone silently agreed and made their way to the exit.
"Hey!" A familiar voice was heard.
Most people turned their heads and saw Tommy outside the structure. They scowled at him and continued making their way to the exit.
"Wait up!" Tommy said, oblivious to everyone's loathing of him as he went to follow them, only Gordon was there to intercept him.
And Gordon himself was looking down.
"M-Mr. Freeman?" Tommy asked,
"What are you-"
"I gave you one job." said Gordon as he looked at Tommy,
"You were supposed to guard Aerith, you were supposed to stop Sephiorth from doing anything to her, and now look what happened."
"Huh? What are you talking about?" Tommy asked,
"Where is she? I wanna show her the beyblade I got!"
"Tommy, she's dead!" Gordon shouted.
"W-What?" He asked, trying to process what Gordon just said to him,
"But- But Spehiroth and Benrey promised-"
"What? What did they promise you?" asked Gordon, getting more and more upset with Tommy.
"They said if I took the beyblade and turned the other direction, everything would work out!"
Gordon gave an angry sigh and shook his head.
"Well, this is what you get for believing them." he said, as he turned his back to Tommy and began to walk away.
Tommy began to follow him before Gordon turned around and blocked him with his chaingun.
"Don't," said Gordon,
"You can't come with us."
"What?" asked Tommy,
"But- but-"
"You. Can't. Come. With us Tommy. End of story."
"But- but I have to! You promised we would find Sunkist together!"
"You'll have to find him on your own." Gordon replied,
"And…..good luck with that." He said, as he walked away, leaving Tommy there alone.
Tommy stood there, a sudden jolt of guilt hit his stomach and he felt his heart sink as he held the beyblade in his hand.
Meanwhile, at the top of the structure, a man in a blue suit stood there and adjusted his tie.
'It seems as if you've lost quite a bit of favor with the others, Tommy.' He thought,
'But don't worry, I know what you can do to earn it back.'
