Boiling Hogwarts
Human Realm- Greengrass Manor
'Potter? Really?' Daphne's voice rang out codly as she scribbled down the answers to question 15 of her Runes homework. Her best friend and practically her sister Tracey had gone shopping to Diagon Alley before coming to Greengrass Manor and now she was being told all about her shopping trip.
From the other side of the room, Tracey continued to unpack the bags of shopping that she had gotten replying 'Yeah, he came in to get his new robes fitted at the same time as me. He's had a Growth spurt, definitely taller than you now.' Tracey smiled as she heard Daphne huff, Daphne had always been taller than everyone else in their year but at the end of the past year she grew taller than her and Daphne had been oddly annoyed about her height ever since.
The room was silent for a few minutes as Daphne carefully scribbled away, Tracey was slightly worried by the silence but a couple of seconds later Daphne put her pencil down and asked her 'So did you talk to him at all? Did you ask why he never got back to you about your invitation to the Yule Ball?'
Tracey rapidly shook her head throwing her new potions book to the floor 'Are you Crazy?! This was like the first time I've talked to him since second year, of course I didn't ask him about the Yule Ball. He probably never received the invite. ANyway that's not what matters! He actually told me something….You know the previous half-blood sorted into Slytherin?'
She waited for Daphne to nod 'Tom Mavolo RIddle….well Potter said his name had some kind of connection to He-who-must-not-be-named. He said to try using RIddle's name to make up He-who-must-not-be-named...what do you think he means by that?' Daphne shrugged her shoulders.
Daphne scribbled the name Riddle down onto the paper and studied it for a few minutes 'none of the letters match He-Who-Must -Not-Be-Named.' Tracey groaned in frustration 'WHy did he have to be so cryptic?!' There was a knock from the door before it was opened revealing Daphne's younger sister Astoria who was rolling her eyes.
Astoria walked in over to Daphne and Tracey's combined end of year marks and said 'you know for two of the smartest people in your year, you guys are stupid. Tom Marvolo RIddle is an anagram of Lord Voldemort. The so-called dark lord is a half-blood. The very thing he swore to kill.' Daphne and Tracey's eyes widened as Astroia walked out the room. The two of them looked between themselves and Daphne said 'We need to tell the others.'
Demon Realm
'God Damn it Steve's, just stay down!' Amity screamed in frustration as she slammed the end of her Staff into the 50th Goon's head. She prepared to face the rest of them as they all zombie-like chanted 'In the name of Lady Kikimora!' Amity was glad that Ghost had managed to get the kids to Eda, she didn't have any spare Abomination goop on her and she had needed her staff to help her cast her spells more powerfully. SHe could tell that she was at her limit today. She hadn't been pushed this hard in years.
ONe of the "Steve's" Swung at her with a makeshift bat. She ducked under the attack, pushing Ghost into his stomach before using all her strength to plush him up and throw him over her into the other Steve's approaching. As he got close to them, she waved her staff slightly to make a spell circle and created a large ball of fire which collided with the thug making all of the "Steve's fall to the ground unconscious.'
Several more "Steve's" were starting to surround her so she slammed Ghost into the ground and prepared to cast a large Abomination spell circle beneath her when a small tune started to play through the entire forest, a wave of warm magic started to swarm around everyone as the music got louder and closer. Underneath the tune that was being played on what sounded like Violin, Amity could just about hear the sound of "Steve's" screaming in terror.
The "Steve's" in front of her fell to the ground asleep and she stopped the spell circle half way, prodding one of them slightly just to check how deeply asleep they were. As The music got louder, Amity got back into another fighting stance, just in time for the Creator of the Music to step out of the forest revealing Raine WInters.
Amity dropped her Stance and said in a happy tone 'as They live and breathe, where have you been?' The older Witch smiled 'Hello Amity, I've been doing some investigation, We need to warn Luz.'
The Human Realm - Hogwarts
'As you know we are here today to pick the new Prefects from the new 5th year and the new Headboy and Headgirl from the seventh year.' Dumbledore spoke calmly to the other teachers in the teachers common room.
Luz looked around the room awkwardly studying everyone's faces. In her week since arriving in the wizarding world she had gotten to know Severus Dnape and Minirva McGonagal who also taught at the school along with Albus Dumbledore who was the headmaster of the school.
All of the teachers had clearly been here for a good number of years by the slight Stress marks on their faces. She hoped it would take more than one year to do that. DUmbledore continued 'Severus we shall start with Slytherin, who do you want to pick as the two Prefects?'
Luz turned to face the man who looked like a walking skeleton as he said 'For my cover I'm putting forward Draco as the male Prefect….and Tracey Davies as the Female Prefect...I feel like she could use some extra strength to defend herself other than just Miss Greengrass.' Dumbledore looked around the room and asked 'Any objections?' There were none.
Then Dumbeldore asked Minirvra McGonagal 'Who are you putting forward for your prefect Minirvra?' The older Woman spoke with Great Confidence 'For the Female Prefect I put forward Hermione Granger and for the Male Ron Wealey' Dumbleodre looked around the room checking for any objection and he found murmuring as if the rest weren't sure.
That's when Luz decided to speak up 'Look I know I'm the new teacher here, and from the boiling Isles and from another world called America but across the pond Prefects typically act responsibly, and while I don't doubt that Mr Weasley in one of the more heroic students….I Do not think he's the right person.' Most of the other teachers agreed with what she said.
DUmbledore nodded and said 'Well the rest of the teacher seems to agree with you. WHo do you suggest then Miss Noceda.' Luz sighed and thought about all the memories she had been shown of the potential options the past couple of days before saying with a smile 'I believe that Harry Potter is the perfect man for the job.'
