Boiling Hogwarts
Greengrass Manor - 5 days after the events of Diagon Alley
Cynthia Greengrass sighed as came back through the FLoo back to her home. That had been the 5th day where she had to redo that poor woman's stitches by hand. She had never been more thankful that Lily had taught her that otherwise that young WOman would be dead. Every kind of magic the other witches used on her just made her state worse.
She was certainly surprised to see Harry Potter when she arrived at St Mungo's that first day and she wanted to disbelieve the story that he had told her when she asked what had happened but he gave her the exact same look LIly gave her when they were younger and she was telling the truth.
Everybody said they saw James in Harry but for Cynthia, Harry was the spitting image of his mother, dyed his hair red and you probably wouldn't be able to tell that James was the father outside of his last name. Sitting in her armchair that she had looked out onto the grounds she allowed her body to slowly relax. She was going to have another early start in the morning and she didn't want to be in pain from her stress with it too.
A Few minutes later her eldest daughter Daphne brought over a cup of Butterbeer for her and passed it to her. Daphne sat down on the couch across next to her and after a few minutes her Daughter asked curiously "How is she?"
Cynthia struggled to find the word but eventually said "She's recovering...slowly. I think we should be able to release her by the end of the week but she's going to need bed rest for the next couple of weeks at the very least. But she doesn't seem like the kind of person to just sit around and heal."
Daphne nodded, glad that the young woman was recovering. A few days earlier Harry Potter had finally written to Tracey and revealed who the Woman was and that she was the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher. Between the stories of what she had done to Lord Malfoy from her father and the stories about Diagon Alley she sounded exactly like the kind of person that Daphne and Tracey;'s year needed to pass this year after such an inconsistent start to their DADA teaching.
Daphne stood up from her seat and turned to face her mum whispering "I'm going to bed, Tracey and I were busy all day. See you tomorrow Mum" Before heading up the stairs towards her and Tracey's room
When she entered she found Tracey crafting another letter to Potter and also finishing her remaining Homework that she hadn't finished off at the start of the summer. SHe didn't fully trust Potter but she was glad that he was making Tracey happy. She deserved it. She wasted no time in getting changed while her friend was distracted before telling her Goodnight.
Tracey mumbled night back to her but she was too focused on finishing ehr letter to Harry who she was now contacting every second day to talk to. Especially due to the event at Diagon Alley where He had mentioned how he felt responsible for what happened, even though his friends Granger and Weasley keep telling him it wasn't.
FInishing the letter she stood up and grabbed a spare envelope from Daphne's desk and put the letter into it. The envelope was one of those fancy ones that wrote the address itself once it knew who it was addressed to so all she had to Write on it was Harry Potter and the envelope did the rest for her.
Taking it to the Owley, Tracey thought about the fact that in two week she would not only be entering her 5th year of Hogwarts but entering it as a Prefect no less. She already knew that Draco was the other prefect which soured her mood slightly but Harry was also the prefect for Gryffindor which raised her spirits again.
The Demon Realm -The Boiling Isles -The Owl House- 1 Week Later
Eda drew an Ice Glyph in boredom as she watched the recovering Amity play with her two children. KIng was out so she couldn't talk to him. Raine was at the library looking something up for Luz so she couldn't talk to them. THe Kids were with their mum right in front of her so they didn't need her. She felt a bit useless.
Suddenly she was tapped on the shoulder making her crane her neck around "Yes, how can I help you?"
Behind her was a young man, with a scar across his face and blond hair. Hunter. The former nephew of Emperor Belos and a Shadowalker who Luz had taken in as her "brother" She would never understand how that girl could be so forgiving and how she constantly managed to get her enemies to become her family. Hunter asked "Hi Mo….Eda, I heard Luz was in trouble. I came as fast as I could. How can I help?"
She sighed standing up "Unfortunately Kid, you can't help at the moment. None of us can. The Portal to the Human Realm isn't working right and We are trying to keep Amity and the kids safe. Seems Kikimora wants them out of the picture."
Hunter's eyes widened and he asked "Are they okay?"
Eda allowed the kid to look past her and he sighed in relief as he saw them safe and well. Under his breath she could hear him say "I will protect my family" Before making his way past her to see the kids and amity. The former calling out "Uncle Hunter!" and toddler running their way over to the young man.
The Human Realm- no.12 Grimmauld Place- 1 Week later
Ron's face was one of confusion as he looked at Hermione and Harry wearing their Hogwarts Uniforms already. Normally they all changed on the Train ride so he didn't understand why they were already changed so in an outburst he yelled "What are you guys doing?!"
Harry, who was in the middle of pinning his prefect badge to his robes cursed as the metal pin, went into his finger instead of into the metal catch it was meant to and replied to his confused friend while trying to ignore the pain he was in, "Ron. We are prefects now, remember. We have duties to perform on the train and Hermione and I have a meeting right at the start of the Journey."
Ron nodded, seemingly understanding and just went back to silently finishing the packing of his chest that he was forced to start 2 days earlier than he normally would because Harry and Hermione didn't want to be late on the first day of their new duties.
Within 10 Minutes the trio were ready to leave and joined the rest of the group who was ready to leave. At the bottom of the stairs stood Alasdair Moody, Arthur Weasley, Nymphadora Tonks, Shacklebolt and a couple of Others who none of them recognized. Of course Ginny, Fred and George were down there too.
Much to the surprise of the Trio though Sirius and Luz were both down there. Sirius was talking to Luz in some clean CLothes and looked like a proper Lord of the house for the first time while Luz was wearing a simple Muggle T-Shirt and Jeans. Luz had also transformed her staff into a Walking stick and was leaning on it.
When the two of them heard the two of us coming down Sirius gave us a big wave and a smile while Luz gave us a strained smile, trying to focus through the pain she was in. Lus had done more damage to her than she could have possibly imagined with her new upgrades. She had managed to get in contact with Grandma Gwen back in the Isles who was assembling the best healing Coven WItches to give her a scan over later that day to see if they could improve her condition.
Unfortunately she was the only Witch who could cross across the realms at the moment. Something had happened that damaged the link between the realms and she was certain it was something to do with her and Lus' fight. But as long as she could get home and see her family that was all that mattered to Lus right now.
Harry and his Two friends approached her and Sirius full of concern as he asked "Luz what are you doing up?! Shouldn't you still be in bed?!"
She ruffled the kid's hair with her free hand and told him "DOn't worry about me kid. I'm an adult, I can handle myself, and unlike some people I actually mean it"
Sirius rolled his eyes but said "I'm just going to ignore that Luz, anyway Kiddo you should Listen to her; She knows what she's talking about. Now are you ready for this year?"
Harry nodded feeling oddly optimistic about this year and said "Actually Yeah, I'm going to miss you Sirius but I have never been so excited to get back to school."
The moment Luz stopped ruffling his hair, Sirius started retorting "I'm glad, actually I want you to promise me that to the best of your ability, you will stay out of trouble. Okay? All three of you."
He got three responses of "Of course Sirius, But trouble usually finds us" Making his eyes roll.
Platform 9¾ - 1 Hour Later
Tracey arrived through the Floo last out of the Greengrasses and looked around the quiet Platform. They had decided to leave early because of Tracey's duties and the fact that both Cyrus and Cynthia had work to do.
The group moved to a place where they wouldn't be to much of a hassle for the other families and started their goodbye's and before anything Tracey was scooped up into a hug by Cynthia Greengrass before being let go and grabbed by Cyrus who put his Hands on both of her Shoulders saying "Make us proud Kid"
Before bringing her into a large bear hug, however he glanced up and coughed ever so slightly saying "Astoria Greengrass, where do you think you're going?!"
The youngest greengrass flinched and made her way back over to her dad to give him a hug goodbye which she did as soon as Cyrus let go of Tracey.
Tracey turned back to face the red Steam engine that looked like it had been freshly repainted with it's now glossy look. The Smoke was already starting to come out of the engine and filling the air of the Platform. Tracey took a deep breath and took the first steps towards her 5th year at Hogwarts.
