Boiling Hogwarts

Boiling Platform

Platform 9 ¾

"Harry! Will you wait a second, my dear boy!" Harry rolled his eyes as Mr Weasley told him to slow down. He knew they were just doing it to keep them all safe but he wanted to get on the train and get to school.

Mr Weasley was huffing as he caught up with Harry and he saw the impatient look in the boy's eyes, placing a calming hand on Harry's shoulder he said "Harry, just slow down for a few minutes? Luz is still moving slowly because of her muggle stitches."

He sighed but did stop for a few minutes as the rest of the group caught up with them and Arthur gave him a small reassuring smile before saying "Alright team, careful as we go through. Keep goodbyes short and we will see you at christmas. Fred and George. Behave!" As the two twins tried to put some of their prank sweets in a poor unexpecting muggles pockets making them 'Jump out of their skins' as Hermione said the phrase went.

Luz could feel the magic from through the metal gateway and knew they had built this mysterious train platform on powerful magic ley lines that connected to the Boiling Isles and even Amphibia. If she closed her eyes she could see AMity, their kids, Mom, Aunt Lilith, and Hunter at the Owl House planning the best form of defence to keep myself and the healers I was seeing tomorrow safe.

She was snapped from her Ley Line thoughts by Alasdair Moody who told her "It's time to move lass" She nodded silently and walked through the gateway and gasped as she felt the magic ran through her, getting stronger as she arrived at the other side. She was standing right on top of the ley way. Almost as if she was a battery that had been drained of her energy. she felt like she was being recharged. She felt stronger than she had in the past. Was this the power of the ley lines?

IN her stomach she felt the stitches that haven't dissolved yet suddenly vanished as her wounds fully healed. She felt physically better than she had in years. Lifting her hand out she imagined a flame in her hand and in almost an instant her hand was lit ablaze much to the shock of those around her "The Guardian of the Boiling Isles is back baby!"

She clenched her fist and the flame her injuries healed, she imagined Owlzura transforming back into her staff and she lost the walking stick that she had been using. Oh well she didn't need it anymore.

Harry was wasting no time with whatever was going on with Lu this time and made his way over to the train with ROn and Hermione having said goodbye to those he wanted to. The Three of them quickly found a compartment for them to sit in which was rare but that was the power of actually being early for once in their lives.

The three of them sat down with a sigh as they finished getting their bags packed away and Hermione weakly said "We can rest for 5 minutes Harry".

Weakly putting his thumbs up he said "Cool."

Luz started to approach the red Hogwarts express with interest in her eyes, the history of the train was calling to her through it's magic. It was old, very old and very powerful. She was broken out from her trance by a familiar voice "Ah Miss Noceda, I'm glad to see your back on your feet."

Twisting around on the balls of her feet, Luz faced the owner of the voice and found Madam Greengrass, the Nurse at the magical Hospital who had attended to her injuries after her battle with Lus. A Smile on her face she responded "Nurse Greengrass! It's good to see you."

The Older Woman came over to her and placed a gentle hand on her shoulders and asked "How's your stitches?"

Luz grinned lifting the hem of her T-shirt up a bit "Completely healed this morning, I feel better than I have in a long time so thank you"

Cynthia Greengrass shook her head with a small smile on her face "You should be thanking Lily Potter, she's the one who taught me about muggle stitches before she passed. But if you want to thank me back properly, give my daughter and her year a proper education. They need one."

Luz tapped her staff against the ground "I promise, they will all pass their DADA exam at the end of the year. Nobody will fail my class."

The look of relief on the older woman's face was all she needed to know that she had said the right thing. From above them the large platform clock chimed as the hour passed and Luz said in a hurried voice "I'm sorry Nurse Greengrass, I've got to go. Thanks once again"

She charged towards the train with a determined look on her face. She got onto the train at the far end where Severus had told her the staff room was. Opening the door to the very back room she was hit by the smell of several freshly baked cookies of all different flavours.

Grabbing one she made her way over so she was sitting next to Minirva and asked "Wait, if we're meant to be at the castle before the students then why are we riding the train with them?"

The feline-like teacher said with a slight chuckle "We need to make sure the students are okay. We apperate from the train 10 minutes before we arrive at the school although one teacher will stay on the train to keep everyone safe. So you will be in charge of all the students once we leave." Oh boy trust the new teacher with over one hundred students lives….

"harry….Harry…Harry….HARRY! WAKE UP!"

Harry's eyes snapped awake as Hermione shook him awake from his brief sleep, Mumbling, "What is it?"

Hermione rolled her eyes at him as she slapped his face "We're about to leave the Platform, we need to get ready to perform our duties."

Harry looked around and noticed that Neville, Ginny and a blond haired girl who looked to be about Ginny's age had entered the compartment since he had closed his eyes for his nap. Standing up he stretched his limps out as Hermione tried to straighten his tie and badge to which he could only roll his eyes.

Once the Hogwarts Express started to leave the station the two of them gave their apologies to the rest of the group but left the compartment. Looking along the carriages they could see the last couple of people rushing along trying to find friends or a compartment to sit in.

The Two of them looked between themselves and sighed, guess they knew what they were going to be doing first.

Slightly further down the train, Tracey sighed as Daphne asked her another question "Are you sure you don't want me to come with you, it's not like Draco would be able to do anything to harm me, especially now that his father is in Prison.

Tracey groaned and responded "I promise you Tracey, I will be fine. Stop Worrying. By Merlin, you would think you are my mum. I can handle Malfoy. Just calm down." Her sister/friend sat down in a huff but with a small proud smile sneaked it's way onto her face.

Opening the door to the compartment as she let out one final sigh and was greeted by silence from her carriage. Looks like the younger snakes were being quite quiet. But a second later she felt a shooting pain in her shoulder as someone walked into her sending her flying towards the ground "ugh was that a hippogriff?"

Looking up she noticed Michael and Sally, two Ravenclaw's in their 6th year who were under Malfoy's payroll. Cracking her neck she stood up slowly getting into a confident but defensive pose "What are you doing?"

Sally punched her hands together "Delivering a message from Malfoy, give up your position as prefect."

Tracey glared at them reaching for her wand "And what if I refuse!"

At the other end of the carriage the door opened up and two people entered the carriage and Tracey knew she needed to end this confrontation now "You know what I don't have the time for the two of you. As one of the Prefects of 5th year I ask that you move out of the way as you are blocking the carriageway for other students."

The two Malfoy goons pulled out their wands "It wasn't a request you bit"

Before they could say anymore they were interrupted as they both felt two wands sticking against the back of their necks as Harry's voice broke through the silence "And Perfect Davies wasn't requesting either. Move along before we have to remove 100 house points from both of you and have to drag you to the teachers for detention.

The Two ravenclaw put their wands away and shoved their way past her, "You will regret this, all three of you will!" Tracey looked back up and saw Harry and Hermione Granger standing there with their wands out aimed at where the two ravenclaws had just been. The two of them slowly put their wands back into their robes.

She snickered and said "You guys need holsters, Thanks for the back up there." Harry grabbed her shoulders to help keep her balanced as Hermione replied "No problems, us prefects need to look after eachother. So who were they?"

Tracey gave Harry a smile telling him that she was good "Two ravenclaws in the year above, Malfoy Sr had them under his payroll and it seems like Malfoy Jr still does"

Letting go of her Harry asked "DO you think they will be trouble for us this year?"

She nodded firm;ly "After that? I have no doubts. We are going to need to keep an eye on them."
