Hermione POV:
With a loud crack I land next to the man called Remus unsteadily as he held an arm around me. I look down at the ground tears threatened to spill out of my eyes as I feel like I just abandoned the one thing that was gonna give me a family. Remus holds out a piece of parchment no bigger than his hand and says to me," Read it quickly."
Taking the parchment I read it say,' The Order of Phoenix of 12 Grimmauld Place.' Taking the parchment from me he set it aflame and had the paper disintegrate into ashes. Then I saw that the building before me started to move. The others around us didn't even realize that it was like they were oblivious to it. I swallow nervously and tried to put on a brave face as Remus set across the street to the door of #12. Opening the door he had me slip in silently and followed me in to close the door.
Starting to push me forward I look down and can't help but feel scared of what was to come at the end of the hallway where voices could be heard. As the door opened I looked in onto a group of people sitting around a long table in the kitchen. The room went quiet as we stepped in.
"Is this her," asked someone near to my left dressed in black with greasy hair to me smelled of boiled herbs.
"Yes. Everyone this is Hermione Granger the survivor of the werewolf attack," Remus says behind me.
Looking up at him I couldn't help but, push him away from him," I was...NOT ATTACKED BY THEM!"
"How can you be sure young lady," Asked the man sitting at the head of the table. He had a long white beard and crystal blue eyes it seemed to me behind half-framed glasses.
"I was rescued by...Fenrir Greyback."
Then everyone started whispering and making speculations of what I had just said as some questioned my sanity. Then sparks came from a wood stick from the man with the white beard as the room fell silent once more.
"Miss Granger, I would like to hear of the accounts of what happened that day," he says gently as he tucked his stick away.
Nodding I told them of what I knew from how I had just went to the stream to read when I had realize when I was suppose to return back to my parents. Running into Fenrir and how a wolf had spoken to him to tell him of the fire that was spreading fast. How he had rescued me and had to be the bare of bad news of my parents deaths. How he had told me of the magical world and of their kind of werewolves. I decided to leave out that I was going to join the pack and be part of them.
The elder man nods and looked around the room before speaking," We'll need to establish Miss Granger into a home until she is of age. The question is; Who will take her in?" The people around the table were just silent and looking around at each other. I was starting to get nervous shifting from one foot to another as they stayed silent.
"I'll take her Albus," Said a voice. I look up to see a young woman maybe mid-twenties with short shoulder length brown hair her bangs tied back behind her. Her hazel eyes stared determinedly at the elder man as she stood at 5'7 wearing distinguished witches robes. Before another word was spoken she walked over to me and bend over to stare into my eyes, " I would like to take care of you, Hermione, if you wish? I know I can't replace what's been lost but, I would like to open my home to you."
I didn't know if she meant of my lost of my parents or the potential of a family. Taking at a latter of the two I nodded my head as she held her hand out I held my hand out to shake her hand.
"Then it is settled, Hestia Jones, shall take care of Hermione Granger at her home while still attending her duties to the Order," Albus says and Hestia smiles as she looks back at Albus and nods. Leading her to the fireplace she took a pinch of black powder from a jar and says," Say, "Jones' Cottage' and then step into the fire. That way you'll be able to get into my home. Let me show you." Tossing the powder into the fireplace Hestia Jones says," Jones' Cottage." Then stepped in to be taken into the green flames.
Taking a pinch of the powder from a jar that Hestia did I look around the room with a questionable look before looking back at the fireplace tossing the powder saying," Jones' Cottage." Stepping in I closed my eyes as I shot through what felt like a warm tunnel getting bumped along the way until I slip out and onto the floor coughing from the ash.
Feeling hands under my arms helping me onto my feet she started to brush me off of the ash and grime. Slowly opening my eyes I open my eyes to a brightly lit room. Giving a soft gasp of it's beauty Hestia watches me silently as I took it all in.
The fireplace led into what looked like the living room. A pale cream couch with small white pillows was facing a reading nook that overlooked a small garden the side of the house. Besides the nook led to an open kitchen and dining room set with mix of light yellows and blues throughout the rooms. Looking back at the fireplace was a white cream brick with light blue embroidery of swirls and vines with two light brown bookshelves full of many books. Nearby the bookshelf on the left was a staircase going up to the second floor.
"I hope this will do," Hestia asks with a slight shake to her voice. "I can redecorate if it's..."
"No," I exclaimed and looks at Hestia with a smile. "I think this is beautiful. Like a fairy tale that is suppose to happen."
Hestia couldn't help the grin on her face that seem like she was close to crying. "I'm glad you like it. I'll have to make another room but, I can do that no problem."
I couldn't help but look at her skeptically wondering how she was gonna put another room in the house on the second floor but, she turns to head up the stairs and pulled out a wooden stick. Curiosity getting the best of me I followed her as she was on the second floor of a bedroom. Then I heard Hestia say," Locus mutetur!" Then I saw the room expand and made a wall appear and made a room deep cream with lilac swirls decorating the walls with a window seat. Looking around the room in awe it was as big as my room at my old home with my parents. Thinking of that I frown and Hestia looked worried.
"Did you not like the decor? I can change it and it will be some time before I can order a bed and furniture," she started to say sadly.
Shaking my head I brush the tears from my eyes," No, it's not that...I was thinking of my old room with my parents...I don't think I'll be able to go back to there now they are gone...right?"
Hestia not sure how to answer wrapped me in a hug and petted my hair lightly. "Shh...I know this isn't been easy on you...I'll owl Dumbledore and see what can be done about that. For now you can have my bed and then we'll go to Diagon Alley when we get a chance."
All I could do was nod in acceptance and followed her to the lower level of the house to the kitchen table and have a seat as she put on a pot of tea. As she did so I couldn't help but, wonder if Fenrir was alright...
Fenrir POV:
Soon as the crack of apparition took place I went into action and roared out loud,"Quickly! Everyone gather everything up and lets roll out ASAP!"
I quickly go to my cabin and start grabbing all of my belongings and stumbled onto Hermione's book. Picking it up it was a book called,'Understanding Legends and Myths.' Putting the book into my bag I gather the rest of my belongings and notice everyone in the pack was ready for me. Looking around I take my wand and demolish the cabins and leave no trace of us as I call out," We head North! To the Wicked Woods!"
I start leading them away and make sure everyone was coming when I notice there was one not with us.
Looking back Cinta was laid on the ground breathing deeply like she was in sleep. I ran to her and crouched down to hold her head up,"Cinta...What's wrong?"
"Nothing is wrong...just...my time...," Cinta says with a sigh as she kept her eyes closed.
Shaking my head like a child having lost a friend a tear threatens to fall," No...no please...I beg you...you were to see my pups, my mating ceremony."
"And I shall...with...the Moon Goddess...," she says smiling happily. She brings a hand to my cheek brushing it gently," It's time pup. I must go with...our other brothers and sisters...Remember what I said...Love her, be patient, but above all else protect her."
I nod and put my forehead to hers and sadly spoke," I will, Cinta...I promise."
Cinta closed her eyes and breathed her last. I laid her down gently and let out a loud howl hoping to send her to the Goddess tears loose from my eyes to let out my sorrow of a fallen pack mate and mother like figure to me.
Getting my bag that fallen not far from me I take myself back to the front of the pack to lead them to the Wicked Woods not far from the Enchanted Forests of Hogwarts. There I shall wait for my love to appear.
AN: I'm so sorry for the lack of updates but everything just went crazy in a whirlwind of craziness! Any who I'll try to have more chapters soon and I might be fast forwarding times a bit just to keep things interesting. I hope this way was better laid out then the last couple of chapters I had done. Sorry about spellings and grammar issues if there is any. Would love the input as always! Enjoy Reading!
