Mechagodzilla turned its head around as Mei and Adrian frantically looked for a possible alternate exit.

"I wouldn't bother." Shane said, "Now deactivate that mech and come out here."

"Not a chance!" Adrian shot back.

"Do it, or I destroy this place and you along with it." Shane threatened; his calm demeanor was gone, "You have five minutes to decide."

With that, the transmission cut out, leaving the two pilots in the mech in silence as the gravity of their situation fell on them.

Adrian tried to be calm. "Okay, we can figure this out. I'm sure there's a way we can fool him and still get out of here. You got an idea, Mei? Mei?"

Mei remained silent, save for some stuttered breathing.

"Mei? What's up?" Adrian asked, worry in his voice. Mei turned back to look at him, and Adrian didn't need Drift to get an answer; she was scared.

"I get you're scared" he said, "But we can figure this out. I'm not surrendering to Shane, especially after hearing what he did to you. I care about you too much."

"Then what IS your plan, Adrian?" Mei demanded, "I don't see much option right now."

Adrian sighed before his attention turned to the wall surrounding the hangar door. The depth gauge on his helmet activated, showing how thick the wall is…and it gave Adrian an idea.

"I need you to trust me." Adrian told Mei. Hearing his thoughts from the Drift, Mei turned to the wall and noticed the same readings.

"So, you trust me?" Adrian said.

Mei thought for a few moments before she regained her determined expression. "Yes. I'd trust you any day; more than I trust that scumbag, Shane."

Adrian then turned on the mech's com and spoke to Shane as he hit a few other buttons on his console, powering up one of the weapons.

"You know, Shane" Adrian said, "I get you're trying to scare us, but it seems like you're the one who's scared here."

"I don't know what you're talking about" Shane said.

"I mean, think about it" Adrian continued, "You chase me all the way across the desert all because I know something you don't want me to know, which means what I know scares you. By the way, I told Mei."

"You did what?!" Shane demanded.

Now it was Mei's turn to speak. "You can't just keep hiding things from us, like what you did with my past."

"Watch me" Shane replied, "I can have this entire hangar destroyed in an instant. I'm willing to show you mercy, Mei. It's only Adrian that's truly dangerous; don't follow him."

A beeping came from Adrian's console, and he smiled when he looked at it; the weapon was fully charged.

"Don't bother with blowing the place up." he said to Shane, "You good, Joel?"

"Just do what you need to do" Joel said, "I'll be right behind you."

Shane was confused for a moment until he saw Mechagodzilla face the hangar and open his mouth, a red light coming from within: the Proton Scream. Suddenly, a massive, red laser fired from the mech's mouth, burning into the metal walls and carving through it. The control room began to rumble from the blast, throwing Shane and the others off balance. Joel took this opportunity and smacked the mercenaries flanking him before stumbling out of the room and taking off down the hallway.

Far outside, Copperhead had been fighting Atlas Destroyer for a while as well as Boy, who had morphed into his kaiju form. Right now, Boy was pinned under rubble as Atlas was holding back Copperhead's head with its arms, one of them a new arm, courtesy of the Kaiju Jaeger, Apex.

Taylor and Hayley struggled inside the cockpit as Copperhead's jaws got closer and closer. Just as the jaws were about to crunch Atlas's head, the kaiju stopped as it heard a deep thrumming noise followed by falling rubble. Copperhead looked up and looked toward the sound to see part of a canyon falling away as a red laser sliced through it. Taylor and Hayley looked in the direction of the cliff.

"What is that?" Taylor asked.

Hayley was silent for a few moments as the answer slowly dawned on her.

"Adrian and Mei!" she gasped.

Sure enough, Copperhead and Atlas watched as Mechagodzilla emerged, letting out a mechanized roar as it walked into the city. Kaiju dogs surrounded it, snarling at it. Mechagodzilla simply looked down and readied his Proton Scream and fired, vaporizing the kaiju and destroying the surrounding buildings. Copperhead let out a challenging roar, causing Mechagodzilla to turn and face the kaiju, letting out a series of techno noises that sounded as if it was laughing.

Copperhead roared in fury and charged. Mechagodzilla roared again before charging. Mecha's shoulder opened up, firing a barrage of missiles as it charged. Copperhead powered through the attack, but it slowed down enough for Mechagodzilla to bring its fist low to the ground, activate a thruster in its shoulder, and swing upwards, delivering a devastating uppercut. Copperhead flew backwards, roaring in a mixture of surprise and pain as it smashed through multiple buildings. Getting back up, Copperhead began staring daggers at Mechagodzilla, angered by the challenger.

Mechagodzilla raised his arms, ready for round two Copperhead prepared to charge. Suddenly, Adrian noticed something; there was a bleeding hole in Copperhead's chest.

"Mei, you see that?" Adrian asked.

Mei looked and nodded. "You thinking what I'm thinking?"

Adrian nodded in answer and the two readied themselves as Copperhead charged. Ready, Mechagodzilla raised a hand and grabbed Copperhead's face, slamming the kaiju repeatedly into the ground to stun it before lifting it up and grabbing it with both arms. Copperhead flailed around, smacking the mech;s metal armor with its hands, but doing no major damage.

"Ready?" Mei asked.

Adrian smirked as a crosshairs locked onto the kaiju's chest wound. "Let's burn this son of a bitch!"

As Copperhead struggled, Mechagodzilla readied its Proton Scream and fired, burning into the chest wound and straight through the kaiju's body and causing it to shriek in pain. Then, moving its head, Mechagodzilla then proceeded to slice Copperhead cleanly in half, tearing the two halves away when it finished and throwing them to the ground before letting out a triumphant mechanized roar.

Atlas Destroyer had managed to recover and dug Boy out of the rubble as the Mechagodzilla battled Copperhead, and both it and Boy looked to see the now triumphant Mechagodzilla standing there before turning to face them and nodding.

Just then, the coms on Atlas went off as Adrian signaled Hayley and Taylor. "You guys alright?"

"We're fine now" Hayley replied, "Thank you."

Suddenly both mechs' monitors began beeping.

"We got another one!" Taylor yelled. Both Atlas and Mechagodzilla turned in the same direction as a second kaiju, a lizard like creature with a drill-like appendage on its tongue named Driller, burst from the earth, drawn to the area by Mechagodzilla's escape. The two mechs got into ready stances as Driller faced them and snarled. The kaiju then prepared to charge, but was interrupted by another creature's roar. Confused, it looked around, only to be throttled from behind by Varan, who had glided with the flaps on his sides.

The pilots of the Jaegers could only watch as Driller struggled in vain against Varan, who dug his claws into the kaiju's back, one hand grabbing Driller's jaw. Then, after a few moments of struggling, Varan grabbed the kaiju's head with both hands and began to pull the jaws apart. A disgusting cracking sound was heard until, with a final sickening crunch, Varan ripped Driller's jaw clean off. In massive pain and enraged, Driller lased out with its tongue, preparing to impale Varan with the drill, only for Warbat to swoop in and clamp it jaws on the tongue, tearing it off in a fly by attack. Anguirus then ran up and headbutted the creature, then ducked below it just in time for Varan to drive his own head into the creature's skull, sending it flopping down and impaling it on Anguirus's back spikes.

The pilots were at loss for words by the whole thing.

"That thing just got destroyed!" Adrian said.

"Are those…Titans?" Hayley asked.

"I think so" Taylor replied, "Lola, can you identify them?"

"I can" the Jaeger's AI responded, "These creatures match Monarch's Titan database. Names are Anguirus, Varan, and Warbat. All three have reportedly joined forces with Jaegers against enemy kaiju."

"Guys" Mei said, "They're looking at us."

Sure enough, Anguirus was approaching Atlas Destroyer, rearing up on his hind legs to look the Jaeger in the eye.

"Don't make any sudden movements" Adrian said over the coms, "He's analyzing you; trying to see if you are friend or foe."

Anguirus sniffed at the Jaeger, the smell of the robot triggering memories of when he had fought alongside a similar robot against the alien kaiju years ago. Satisfied, Anguirus dropped back down on all fours, only to come face to face with Boy, still in kaiju form. Angurius snarled at Boy, who only whimpered and made a few growling noises. Whatever he said, Anguirus didn't seem to care and growled again, narrowing his eyes, only to back up as Atlas moved a hand in front of Boy protectively.

"Don't do anything that might piss him off." Adrian warned, "You saw what he did to that kaiju."

"I'm not letting him hurt Boy." Hayley replied, determination in her voice.

Before anyone could respond, a high pitched cry echoed from above, getting the three Titans' attention as they turned to see Megaguirus fly in, hovering just above Varan. The insectoid Titan roared at Anguirus again, who then returned the call. The Jaeger pilots didn't realize that the two could actually understand each other, and were trading words; apparently, Megaguirus had been watching the battle, and saw that Boy fought against Copperhead, as did Atlas and Mechagodzilla. There was also something unusual Megaguirus sensed about him, but for now, Boy wasn't a threat.

Having learned this new information, Anguirus turned to Atlas, gave what seemed like a nod, and then walked off back on the path he had been on earlier, signaling the other Titans to follow him.

"Well, that was…" Mei began.

"Bizzare" Taylor finished.

"Agreed" Adrian said, "Something tells me this isn't the last we've seen of them either."

"Where do you think they're going?" Taylor asked.

Adrian shrugged, "Who knows? Probably to hunt more kaiju."

Suddenly, a bullet ricocheted off of Mechagodzilla's eye, and the mech turned its head to see where it had come from.

As the camera zoomed in, Adrian and Mei lit up.

"It's Joel!" Mei said. Sure enough, Joel stood on one of the higher building, holding the pistol he used to shoot and get their attention. Minutes later, both Atlas and Mechagodzilla had made their way to the buildings and powered down, allowing their pilots to exit and reunite with Joel.

"How'd you get here?" Mei asked.

Joel playfully smirked. "I may or may not have stolen one of Shane's trucks."

"Hey, the less that creep has, the better" Adrian said.

"Agreed" Mei said.

"Hey" Hayley said to the two MechaG pilots, "Thanks for coming to help. Taylor and I might not have made it if you didn't drop in."

"No problem" Mei said, putting a hand on her hip and smirking, "Besides, we're a group now; we look out for each other."

Adrian then added, "I agree with Mei. If we're going to make it, then we stick together. Looks like you guys have an escort to Sydney."

Just then, Boy clambered over the top ledge of the building and then let out a blue flash of energy, changing back to his human form. Hayley ran over and hugged him.

"I'm so glad you're okay!" she said. Boy slowly tried to put his arms around Hayley, having never experienced a hug before.

"Well, now that we're all together" Joel said, "I saw a burger place on the way here; anyone hungry?"

"God, yes." Mei said.

"I suppose that fight worked up an appetite" Taylor added.

Adrian chuckled. "Welp, looks like the vote's anonymous. Let's eat!"

"And once we do" Hayley said, "Off to Sydney together!"

"Yeah," Mei said with a nod, "Together."

She may not know much about her past yet, but for now, this group was the best thing she had to a real family.

Hours later, Anguirus and the other Titans finally arrived at the shoreline, looking out towards the ocean. Yup, this was definitely where the unusual smell was coming from, though the Titans couldn't see anything. Megaguirus flew out over the ocean to investigate, but stopped short; she couldn't smell the other Titans anymore. In fact, she couldn't smell anything from the land anymore. Flying back, Megaguirus told of what had happened and what it meant: the other weren't coming because, for some reason, they couldn't smell the kaiju.

Anguirus knew what to do, immediately mustering what strength he could and sending it out in a massive roar that resonated across the ocean. The other Titans proceeded to do the same, carrying their call miles over the ocean.

In a hidden chamber, a woman in blue robes wearing a pale white mask sat meditating; one of the Sisters of the Kaiju. As she sat there, she began breathing rapidly as a vision came to her mind. Suddenly, she screamed in terror, falling backwards to the ground. Getting back up, she felt terror grip her heart, and she ran through the corridors shouting. "He's coming! The Destroyer is coming!"

("Pensacola, Florida" theme plays)

Thousands of miles from Australia, entire schools of fish and other creatures scattered as a massive creature sped towards the continent, a blue energy glowing all around it.

Godzilla is coming.

There's a reason it's the Pensacola theme playing, and it's the same reason the Sisters and the Kaiju should be scared. This isn't the defending anti-hero you'll be seeing. Make way for the Wrathful God.

I have the Titans working like one huge pack like in the Monsterverse, which is why they can understand and communicate with each other.
