Hayley dreamed she was in a dark room; she wasn't quite sure where. As she looked around, she noticed Boy standing nearby, but he looked terrified as he ran to her reaching out.

"Boy, what's wrong?" she asked. Suddenly, she heard a sinister sounding growl as a shadowy, serpentine head with yellow eyes appeared, biting down on Boy's arm. Then, a second appeared, grabbing his other arm, and the two heads began dragging Boy back.

"Boy!" Hayley shouted as she ran to him, just to see a third head appear between the first two, this one with blue eyes, and clamp down on Boy's head. Together, the three heads dragged Boy into the shadows.

"NO!" Hayley screamed, and she jumped forward, grabbing the middle head. The head whipped around, grabbing her and throwing her to the ground. As she recovered, Hayley looked to see the head rear up and prepare to strike when, suddenly, a different cry was heard, this one more high pitched as a blue flash appeared in between Hayley and the shadow creature. Once her eyes adjusted to the light, Hayley could see it was what looked like a huge butterfly, but its details were obscured by the light it was giving off. The new creature gave another cry as the shadow growled one last time before slinking away; Boy couldn't be seen.

Hayley began to weep for him, until she felt a soft nuzzle from the butterfly creature; no, wait…it was a moth. Hayley looked into the moth's eyes and was amazed to hear the creature speak in her head.

"This is merely a vision" she said, "If you wish to save him as well as your friends, you must find me."

"I don't even know who you are." Hayley replied, "How will I find you?"

"Ask of Mosura" the moth replied, "Now you must wake."

Hayley kept saying she had more questions, but her dream quickly faded away until she woke up in the burger place Joel had led them to. Surprisingly, the food hadn't spoiled, and the group was able to enjoy a hot meal after Adrian and Taylor messed around with the grills and almost burned their hair off. After that, they had agreed to sleep in the booths and move on towards Sydney the next morning.

"Rise and shine!" Taylor said, noticing she was awake, "You're just in time for breakfast."

As Hayley looked, she could see that the others had already woken up. Mei, Boy, Taylor, and Joel were sitting at one of the booths, and judging from the various clanging noises coming from the kitchen, she could guess that Adrian was busy cooking, a guess confirmed when he walked back out, carrying a tray of burgers, fries, and various dipping sauces.

"Alright guys" he said, "Enjoy!"

They ate in relative silence. Hayley was thinking of telling them of her dream, but she decided against it; she wouldn't tell anyone until she figured out what exactly it meant: what was that thing in the shadows that grabbed Boy? Who, or what, was Mosura?

"So" Joel asked, "How much farther to Sydney?"

"I checked the maps when I booted up Atlas this morning" Taylor said, "We should only be a few days walk if we stay in our mechs."

"You think Atlas has enough energy to make it that far?" Mei asked.

"It should, so long as we don't encounter any more kaiju. What about yours?"

Adrian explained. "Mechagodzilla's power source is different from a standard Jaeger's. I'm not entirely sure what exactly it is, but it's potent. We barely lost any battery fighting Copperhead."

Taylor said nothing, but his expression made it clear he was both surprised and impressed.

Meanwhile, Mei noticed Hayley had a disturbed expression on her face.

"You okay?" she asked.

"I'm fine" Hayley replied, "Just a rough dream last night."

Mei nodded. "I know how that feels. Try as I might, I can never seem to get Shane out of my head."

Hayley nodded; she felt sympathy to Mei after learning of what Shane did to her.

After an hour of eating, and drinking the milkshakes Adrian had mysteriously thrown together and which Boy immediately fell in love with, the five went into their mechs and began their long trek though the Australian desert and toward Sydney.

Taylor looked over to Hayley as they walked. "What was that dream."

Hayley cringed; she should have known Taylor would figure something out when they drifted. "I'm not quite sure yet, but if it is a vision, like I was told, than I want to protect Boy at any cost, even if it means finding this Mosura."

Hayley looked back at Boy as she said this. Boy took no notice, and seemed to be looking around in wonder at the different digital screens that made up the cockpit.

"Maybe Adrian knows something" Taylor suggested. Hayley nodded and signaled Mechagodzilla. "Adrian, you there?"

"Loud and clear" Adrian replied, "What's up?"

"When you were studying Titan, did you see one that looked like a giant moth or a creature with three heads?"

Adrian was silent, and Hayley wasn't sure if he was thinking or he didn't hear. After a few moments, his voice came over the other end. "The moth, from what I know, is called Mothra. She pretty peaceful, and some theories suggest she has magical properties."

"Magic?" Hayley asked.

"I don't believe it" Adrian said, "The theory was based off ancient mythology, so it's probably just some weird but explainable ability she has. As for your three headed creature, I saw pictures, but all records were highly classified on multiple levels, as if they didn't want information about this one getting into the wrong hands."

"It must be powerful then." Taylor said.

"Or too dangerous to control." Adrian added.

That didn't make Hayley feel any better about her dream-vision.

"Why do you ask?" Adrian asked. Before Hayley could answer, a different signal registered on the coms of both mechs.

"Hello?" it said, followed by static, "Is-zzt-is anyone there?"

"That's not from Atlas!" Adrian exclaimed as he responded to the signal, "Hello? Who is this?"

"My name is Yun Arikawa. I work with Monarch." the man's voice replied, "Are you piloting Mechagodzilla?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Has it shown any signs of going haywire?"

"No, not really."

Just then, an older man's voice could be heard. "See, I told you it would work!"

"I never said we doubted you, professor." Yun said before returning his attention to the pilots. "May I ask where you are headed?"

Here, Taylor, who had been listening in along with Hayley, decided to answer. "This is Taylor Travis; I'm a former Jaeger cadet. My sister and I are piloting Atlas Destroyer and are on our way to Sydney. Mechagodzilla and his pilots are accompanying us."

The voices over the other end became slightly hushed for a few moments, and Taylor was beginning to wonder if he had said too much. Finally, Yun responded. "Well, you're in luck. We've actually got a station in Sydney, and we're willing to help you get there."

The pilots lit up in excitement; their luck just took a turn for the better.

"How can you help?" Mei asked.

Just then, a black helicopter, followed by multiple Osprey planes flew in front of the mechs, circling around.

"We're going to hook the mechs up to the Ospreys" Yun explained, "You guys are free to ride with us in the chopper. Trust me, this'll be faster than walking."

After a small debate, the pilots agreed, and, though it took some time, the two mechs were soon being hauled into the air by the Ospreys as the group flew in the chopper, sitting across from three individuals: a younger man with frizzled white hair, a short, old man with a lazy eye, and a younger Asian woman who carried a tablet with her and wore a black coat over a more professional outfit.

The old man looked out at Mechagodzilla and chuckled. "Some damage, but nothing a little waxing and buffing can't fix. Once we patch him up, we can start with his upgrades."

"Upgrades?" Adrian asked.

The other man, who Adrian recognized by his voice as Yun, replied, "Professor Otaki is the head of Monarch's robotics division. He created that Mehagodzilla, though he had ideas for upgrades almost immediately afterward. This wouldn't be the first time."

"Wait" Hayley said. "Monarch…you're the guys who study Titans."

"You know of the Titans?" Yun asked.

"Adrian told us about them" Mei explained, gesturing to him, "He found a bunch of different files on the Titans. Not gonna lie, knowing about them gives us a bit of hope."

"It should" the woman said, "The Titans are the greatest weapon Earth has against the kaiju. We may as well call them our saviors."

"This is Hana Serizawa" Yun introduced, "She's a second generation Monarch scientist, taking after her father."

"Pleased to meet you" Hayley said.

"You said 'not the first time'" Taylor told Yun, "You mean there are other mechs."

"Two others" Adrian said, "at least that I know of. Moguera and something called Jaguar."

"Jet Jaguar, actually" Professor Otaki corrected, "He's my prized creation, and he's really come a long way since his beginning. I'm going to make sure the same happens to Mechagodzilla."

Just then, Hana's tablet started beeping, and she looked at it with some concern.

"What is it?" Yun asked.

"We got two more Titan signatures." She said, "and you're not gonna believe who's waking them up."

Yun looked over at the screen. "Anguirus. That doesn't surprise me, he's been recruiting like crazy ever since that roaring contest at the shoreline."

"Wait" Adrain said, "Anguirus? We saw him! He and a few other Titans took out a kaiju right in front of us."

Hana nodded. "They've been doing this for days now. After they reached the shoreline, they sent out a sort of call for a few minutes and have since moved inland, attacking whatever kaiju crosses their path. Now it looks like they've made new allies."

"What allies?" Mei asked.

Anguirus, Varan, Warbat, and Megaguirus had just finished digging into what seemed like a swampy area, backing away just in time as a giant lizard-like Titan emerged. It was somewhat spiky, like a dinosaur, but really made it stand out was its jaw, which spiraled out like a buzz saw. Its name was Ridge Jaw. Not even moments afterwards did part of a nearby mountain crumble away as a Titan called Baragon emerged, alerted by Ridge Jaw's roar. Anguirus then roared to Warbat and Megaguirus, giving them new orders. The two fliers then soared off into the distance, on the search for another Titan that they would need soon.

If the Titans were going to take back the Black…they were going to start with the skies.

Ridge Jaw is an OC creation suggested by Scarease that really appealed to me. Some of you might also recognize Yun and Otaki, and while I will say that this doesn't follow the SP canon story (No SP kaiju designs are being used here), these characters will be used to introduce a very special character I've been meaning to bring in.
