(New) Sakura Empire
As the sun made its way up into the sky, many of the Sakura shipgirls began their morning routines, and as for certain others, a good timed morning meant for something else.
"zzzz" the soft sounds of sleep filled the room, and a certain brunette laying in bed, unaware of the wakeup call she was about to get, leaning over the sleeping woman, a shipgirl planted a kiss on her cheek before whispering, "Good morning 'Mistress'". Jumping awake at the name, the brunette looked around in surprise, "Sorry Bel my alarm didn't go off again and-Huh? Ari?" she said in confusion. "Hehe...Good morning 'Commander'" Arizona teased, smiling at seeing her girlfriend in such a clumsy state, "You're late for breakfast you know?" the shipgirl told her, "H-Huh? Oh, right I remember, thanks Ari" Amalee blushed, scratching the back of her head.
"Well, want to go in together?" the battleship asked, holding back a blush, "Together? Huh, always do" the Commander smiled, getting out of bed, "Mmmmm much better" the brunette stretched her back. "Even as an adult you still act like a teen" Arizona slightly teased, "Wah? H-Hey, that's not true, right?" Amalee asked, looking at herself with a handheld mirror, "Only a little, maybe when your tipsy on wine" the battleship told her love.
"...Huh, good to know" the Commander simply before a knock at the door got their attention, "Sumimasen, Shikikian? Are you there?" Mikasa called from behind the door, tapping it lightly. "Y-Yeah! I'll be out there shortly! Hokanohito ni oshiete!" Amalee said fluently, thanks to her lessons, "As you wish" the old veteran calmly said, making her way to the others. "Welp.., time to suit up then" the Commander sighed, picking up a clean pair of clothes, "See you soon?" the brunette asked her partner, "Mhm, I can wait" the battleship replied, making her way out the door, seeing her leave, Amalee picked up her dirty clothes, groaning at the sight of the dirty room.
Cafeteria
Entering the crowded room filled with both friends and wonderful smells, the Commander easily loved being here, "Ohayō, Shikikian" Takao, her personal 'bodyguard' announced to her, "Morning Takao, you don't need to keep doing that you know?". "Owabi, I'm just doing my duties, Shikikian" the heavy cruiser bowed, feeling slightly embarrassed, "sigh, Oh Takao, what to do with you?" Amalee wondered before taking a seat next to Arizona, who patiently waited for her, "Took you long enough" the battleship teased.
"I uhh, kinda forgot where I'd put my uniform, took me a while" The Commander blushed, face going red, "Did you bring it?" the brunette asked.
Nodding her head, Arizona pulled out a letter, handing it to her love, "Thanks Ari, now I wait for the special someone to arrive" she quietly said, looking around the room, "And that 'special' someone is..?" the battleship asked, "Akagi" Amalee said with a confident smile.
Royal Navy
Sitting down after completing her fairshare of serving most of the Royal Navy, the Town Class cruiser took a light rest before heading over to a table to join her sisters, "My, took you long enough Sheffy" a woman with an umbrella teased with a smile. Dismissing her comment, Sheffield took her seat before answering, "I could say the same for Glasgow.., oh wait, that's right" "It's Glasgow, she's basically expected to be late" the umbrella woman, Newcastle, said as she took a sip of tea.
"I suppose, it's to be expected" Sheffield said, pouring herself a glass of fresh orange juice, tap tap the quiet sounds of footsteps caught their attention, seeing a familiar face, "Good day my dear friends" the well-mannered woman spoke, taking her seat near the ashy blonde maid. "Pleasure seeing you as always Belfast, running a little late?" Sheffield asked, "Of course not Sheffy, just had to tend to some personal matters" Belfast answered, serving herself some lunch, "Sheffy huh? Looks like Miss Enterprise has taught you how to be more American" Newcastle teased, giggling behind her hand.
"Manners please, Newcastle" Edinburgh told her half-sister, taking a seat next to Belfast and placing down a handbag full of biscuits, "From Miss KGV, she wanted to thank us for assisting her with dessert" the nerdy-looking maid said. "Dessert?!" another maid near the far end of the table asked, sniffing the air, "Cheshire, calm down, you have some already" a blue haired woman pointed out, literally pointing at the slice of cake on the cat girl's plate, "Nya? Oh yeah, hehe" she giggled.
Fixing her glasses, Edinburgh took a sip of juice before talking again, "Anyways, back on track" the clumsy-ish maid said before pulling out a letter from a hidden pocket, "This letter is addressed to you Sheffy" she said, handing it to the ashy blonde woman. "Thank you, and it's Sheffield" the strict maid reminded, "From the Mistress?" Sheffield asked with slight confusion, "Is our Mistress okay? She's not hurt right?" Dido asked, looking at her friends with concern. "I don't believe so" Sheffield answered her question, "She's with close family after all" the strict maid stated, opening the letter.
"Is it good news?" Edinburgh asked, nibbling on one of the biscuits, "Sister, please don't speak with your mouth full" Belfast told as she wiped away the crumbs off her sister's lips with a napkin. "Awww cute" Newcastle commented, watching the two sisters, "If only Glasgow was like that" she continued, paying no attention to the rest of the group, Sheffield opened the letter and read what the Mistress had written to her, "...Huh, she can't be serious" she questioned.
"Is it a report?" Belfast asked, "No it's...an invitation of some sorts" the ash blonde maid said, rereading it, "It's for...joining an idol group?" Sheffield was taken aback, "What?"
Iris Orthodoxy
Staring at the clear azure skies and sitting at an empty peaceful courtyard, prototype shipgirl, Gascogne, gave another wonder about what the beauty of today could bring, not noticing the visitor behind her. "Gascogne, bonjour" the visitor said, setting down a small plate of French desserts, "Hm, Richelieu, good morning" the prototype shipgirl answered, looking at her blonde visitor, her sister.
Smiling slightly at the battleship's words, "We're sisters, you don't need to say my name" the golden blonde woman said to the odd mannered shipgirl.
"Confirmed" Gascogne simply said, "Good morning, sister" she said and shook her older sister's hand, holding back a playful smirk. Letting out a sigh of annoyance, Richelieu grew slightly tired of Gascogne's new personality since the war ended, "Sois mature maintenant ma soeur" the older sister pleaded. Letting a smile form on her lips, the younger sister leveled with the blonde, "Figured you'd like the new me sister, after all, Jeanie does" the PR battleship teased at the pirate.
"UGH! That name is gonna stick with me isn't it?" the brunette questioned before heading back inside, "Hehe, and is that such a bad thing?" Richelieu teased before turning back to her youngest sister, "As to why we're here-" "nous sommes soeurs, Rich, we can be family no matter what" Gascogne interrupted, putting on a serious face. "Haha, it's not THAT serious" the elder sister jokes "Just a small invitation" the blonde said, taking a sip of tea.
"...A...what?" Gascogne asked, raising an eyebrow, thinking about this 'invitation', "Let me guess, Capitaine?" she gave her estimated guess.
"Good guess" Jean Bart called out, returning with a plate of donuts, courtesy of Dunkerque, and a letter in-hand, "Courrier pour vous" the brunette laid the letter before her little sister. Taking a good look at the letter and to her sisters, Gascogne took the leap and opened the letter, "Not the first time, not the last" quickly reading the letter, due to their heightened intelligence, ended up with a blank stare.
Noticing this, Jean spoke up, "What? Is she bothering us with another pointless Naval Exercise?" "Jeanie!" Richelieu gave a stern tone, "Be. Nice." "Annnnd, back onto the main topic, it's not related to warfare at all" the PR battleship explained, looking confused. "Quoi? So what is it then?" the pirate themed shipgirl asked, "If it's to join that stupid maid club, it's a solid no" Jean Bart said, receiving a sharp bonk to the head, Richelieu's doing.
"What did I say about language?" the oldest sister asked, "Geez, sorry" Jean replied, rubbing the bruise on her head. "Unbelievable" rolling her eyes, Gascogne glanced back at the letter, "Not a club, but it is a group" the youngest sister explained.
"A group? Of random shipgirls? Where can this go wrong?" the brunette said sarcastically, ignoring her sister's remark, Richelieu read the letter, "...Hmm, well now, you DO have a charming voice after all Gascogne" the orange-blonde shipgirl said with a smile.
"Yeah but...singing..?" the young sister questioned as she looked back at her siblings.
Sakura Empire
Making her way around the base, a lone kansen looks around her surroundings, taking in the sight of her home, despite all its new changes. "...Amagi...will you ever come home?" the lonely kansen said to herself, staring into the sea, almost unaware of her coming visitor, "Akagi!" a young voice called out.
"Hm? Oh..how wonderful to see you Shimakaze" the kansen, Akagi, addressed the small girl.
"Hai! I...uhhhh" the destroyer girl struggles to find her words, the glare of the 'Red Castle' not helping her at all. "Oh right! Shikikian sent me to-eh?" the bunny girl stopped her sentence, upon seeing Akagi's hand raised at her, the girl stood confused now. "It's okay Shimakaze, I understand.., if the actions of my past have continued to bring trouble to Shikikian, then I must be willing to accept the consequences" the fox woman said in a quiet manner.
After a few seconds of staring, the bunny destroyer finally spoke up, "Ahem! Right, so uhhh it's not like your in trouble or anything, more like she needs you to.." looking at the now ANNOYED glare of the aircraft carrier, Shimakaze got to the point, "Wah! F-Forō shite kudasai!" she quickly yelled, and just as quickly ran back to the cafeteria.
Watching the frightened bunny girl run off, Akagi felt her ears twitch before ultimately deciding to run off after Shimakaze, hoping NOT to have another discussion with Shikikian about her 'mental' issues.
Sakura Empire (Cafeteria)
Entering the cafeteria and looking around, Akagi stopped momentarily, taking in the sight of her friends, just before she spotted Shikikian. "sigh, Ā, mata ka..." the fox woman mentally prepared herself for another suspected lecture, unaware of the surprise waiting for her, "Akagi Sama" a familiar voice called out, "Kaga..?" the Red Castle turned her head towards the call, seeing her sister approach her.
"Kaga..heh, it's always good to see you" the red katsune told her sister, a relaxed smile making it to her face.
Bowing her head slightly, Kaga made way to her, "I can say the same, sister, It has been some time" the blue carrier spoke before guiding her sister towards Shikikian's table. After the few seconds of silence between them, Kaga spoke up again, "I take it Akagi-Chan has been treating you well?" Kaga asked, adding a light hint of teasing in her question. "Eh? Akagi-Chan? Well ahem she has improved in her studies and her training now rivals with that Ironblood girl" Akagi explained, keeping a straight face.
Looking to the side and smiling, Kaga felt a sense of pride for her sister and her 'child', something she'll acknowledge later, "Kon'nichiwa, shiki-kan, I take it you've been expecting us?" the blue katsune asked, startling the young woman, and starting a journey that would change Akagi.
