So here we get to a tragic chapter as we discover what has become of Mizzer after 9 years of the inhabitants being kidnapped from their homes.
Fortunatly it seemed because Mizzer was now seen as a world with nothing worth having now the inhabitants had been captured and were now regestirred living on other planets, nobody in the Wrangler Empire paid any close attention to it, which is why the Scavengers had such an easy time zipping back and forth from it on their quest to find Ancient Earth Media and other Treasures of Earth's History worth preserving.
The time our heroes arrived on Mizzer's Western Coast, where the Earthlings first landed on Mizzer five thousand years ago it was very early in the morning, the sun had not yet begun to rise...Marzipan could not yet see what was truly there.
Instead she was up against a window, with her hands and nose smooshed up against it like a small child, overwhelmed with homesickness and nostalgia as the Spaceship began to land in a grassy meadow.
As the doors opened and the Mizzer breeze came in, Marzipan's feline sense of smell was able to detect the faint notes that spelled that this was her homeland not anywhere else.
"The scent..." Marzipan said as she sniffed "...It smells like home..."
She grabbed Ichabod's hand "I have so much to show you!' She said as she raced down the ramp with him, at that point the first few rays of dawn were beginning to peek over the mountains, but it seemed that it was going to be a gray cloudy day today regardless even so, this slight increase in the light was enough to illumenate for Marzipan what had changed when they reached the suburbs, Marzipan gasped! The pretty little houses were all rotted and covered with mold! The pretty little gardens had were filled with weeds that had long since choked out the pretty garden flowers.
"No..." Marzipan said quietly when she saw this, she let go of Ichabod's hand dropped down to all fours and began running.
"Marzipan!" Ichabod yelled as he ran after her fearing the worst if she saw something she didn't like "Marzipan wait!"
But Marzipan would not stop until she reached the playground where she so often played as a Kitten, there she let out a feline yowl of dismay! The playground was just as rotted! The swings, the slide, the jungle gym were all rusted and were covered in vines!
Marzipan fell to her knees and began crying. Ichabod caught up with her, and his heart broke seeing her mourn over the place she loved as a Kitten, he knew she was mourning for the Kittenhood that was stollen from her.
He kneeled down beside his beloved "M-Marzipan..." He stammered "...It's all right...It can be repaired, just clear out the weeds, throw on a little paint..."
"It won't be the same..." Marzipan sobbed "...It will never be the same! I want it the way it was!"
Ichabod sighed it was truly Marzipan was mourning her past and he knew that couldn't be restored.
The Turtles overheard that last part as the came in, and their hearts just broke, they of course knew the pain of losing homes and losing things in that home that were dear to you.
Leo steped foreward and kneeled down beside Marzipan
"It's all right..." Leo said his own voice choking up a little "...I know your pain well, I know the pain of destroyed homes, I can see how important this place was to you...So if you need to cry go ahead and cry."
As Marzipan proceeded to cry the rest of the Turtles gathered around her and held her.
Ichabod was left feeling awkward, he had lost a home as well, but he never mourned so much for the home as for his parents when he thought they were dead, was there something wrong with him that he didn't have the same sentimental attachment to places and things? He felt he really dropped the ball when it came to helping Marzipan in this moment of need.
So this is a scene I've been Imagining for a while the Turtles comforting Marzipan because they know all too well the pain of losing a home.
