CHAPTER 2 A MEETING FOR TWO CAUSES
Tangled threw herself at the museum's door, slamming into it, "Ow!" her head was spinning and she was seeing stars.
"Wait a moment Tangle! I'm going to open the door." from the inside, Jewel spoken.
She opened the door, "Do you have to be always in the rush?" she gently rebuked the lemur, putting her arms on her hips.
"I think you already know the answer!" she raised her index finger.
"You need something?" she helped her getting back up.
"Can you call Whisper and Lanolin and tell them to come here, please?" she begged on her knees.
"Fine, but first let's get you some ice!" the two walked in.
Some time later
Lanolin arrived at the museum; Whisper the wolf stood in the entrance, "Hey Whisper! Did Jewel call you to come here?"
"-Yes."
"Do you know why?"
"-No."
An awkward silence between the wolf and sheep erupted.
"So how have you been?"
"-Fine."
The door opened in an outburst, the two outside quickly backed off before getting hit.
"Hey, finally you two have arrived!" Tangle's tail pulled the two girls inside.
"So what is it Tangle?" Lanolin let her wisp, Maggie, join the others.
"I want you to check this out!" she handed them the flyer.
"Tea and biscuits?" Jewel came from the kitchen, carrying a tray.
"-Yes. Please." Whisper cricked her mask to the left and grabbed a biscuit and a cup of tea.
"Well, what do you think?" she got closer to the sheep with a big smile on her face.
"I don't know, a competition? For what?" Lanolin served herself with a biscuit and some tea.
"To coexist with the others, to make our bonds with our friends even stronger, have fun and maybe win some money along the way – but that's secondary to having fun!"
Tangle's eyes were shining, then the wisps joined her side.
Whisper and Lanolin looked at each other, they exhaled and nodded.
"-Fine. We can go." Whisper took a sip of tea.
"Yaaay!" she jumped for a hug out of the blue, surprising the two, almost making them choke on the tea.
"Oops! Sorry!" Tangle scratch the back of her head, in shame of her impulsivity.
"So do we have a name for the team?"
"I have the perfect name!..." Jewel placed her hand on the lemur's mouth, "Girls, I have some bad news! Specially for you Whisper!" the beetle handed a paper to the wolf, removing her other hand from the lemur's mouth.
She took several breathes.
She read it in silence, then she started to shake, she ripped the paper in half, put on her mask and grabbed her wispon.
"-Team Wisps!"
Lanolin grabbed the two pieces and joined them, Tangle joined her watching by the back.
"That good for nothing octopus is back!" Tangle was annoyed, her tail was swigging.
"Isn't that the one that?..."
"-Betrayed my team? defeated him. Locked him up. He was suppose to never escape." her square blue wisp, Blue, nestled in her arms, "-But with the defeat of Eggman, he doesn't have anything to fear."
"Then let's give him something to fear!" Tangle jumped to the table, knocking the some cups out.
"My cups!" Jewel screamed.
"If his working with inmates then they should be going after money, the prize of the competition is to big for them to miss, and since Mimic is still salty because of the beatdown we gave him, he is coming towards us. So if they come to us we'll be ready! Go team Wisps!" she chanted and raised her fist alone, "You were suppose to join me!"
"-Sorry!"
"Next time we'll be ready."
Whisper and Lanolin walked out, Tangle turned to Jewel, "What was that for?" she was a little pissed.
"I had to hold you back." Jewel was sweeping the smithereens.
"Why?"
"Did you thought before opening your mouth?" the beetle looked at lemur with a maternal and stern look.
"What are you?..." realization hit her, "Oh, I really didn't!"
"See! The last thing you would've wanted was a an upset and angry Whisper!" she placed her hand in her shoulder, "Now go have fun and try to stop those criminals!"
"You've got it Jewel!" she speed away.
"But be careful!" she screamed, outside of the building, "What are the trouble she will get herself into?" she giggled.
"Oh, I don't know, but if I had to guess! You are in a big trouble." a scary voice behind her made her freeze. She felt the blade touching her back.
"W-What do you want?" she knew who it was.
"Just come with us, without sudden moves or tricks; Tiny tied her up and carry her, to make sure she doesn't fly." the tiger tied her arms and legs with rope.
"Isn't this too much?" the tiger asked as he was lifting her on his right shoulder.
Mimic smiled, then with his tentacles he pushed Tiny against a the wall of the museum, making Jewel fall without any of support, "Ouch! Y-You better watch it!"
Mimic ignored her, now facing the tiger that was trying to release from his grip, he smiled creeply, "Tiny, Tiny. If you don't want a scar on the right side of your face then you better follow my plan." he squinted, to get a better glimpse at the fear in his eyes, he wrap his tentacles around his throat.
"O-o-ok!"
"Hey boss! Can I stick one of my prickles on him?" the porcupine asked, he had horrible teeth and
He released him, "Always remeber that I'm in charge!" he transformed into a small tiger cub, "Isn't it right, daddy?"
On the ground, the tiger closed his eyes to control his anger.
"Boss, I think he gets it. We should probably leave before someone shows up!" the bear stepped in between the two.
"You're right Bruce! Let's get out of here." the group of criminals headed down the road.
Bruce helped Tiny to get on his feet, "You already know, never critize the boss!" he grabbed Jewel and gave her a piggyback ride, "Are you hurt?"
"No, but just you wait until my friends know about this! They will put you back in prison!"
"You promise?" the tiger looked at the beetle, not with anger or anything like that, but with hope.
"It's a promise!" she was furious with her kidnappers, but yet she felt that these two were different.
"We hope that you're saying the truth."
